Fantastic experience: Proper studio, filled with lovely people. Jared welcomed us with his great, calm vibe and Jo was great with my daughter, very professional and very attentive. Top notch

Negative experience: I got pierced here about two months ago and while it was a lovely experience, all three piercings I got done have since fallen out in my sleep. The £80 I spent on them is now wasted because they aren’t fully healed so have just closed right back up. It’s especially upsetting that they’ve fallen out so easily because I’m a student and £80 is a lot to me, so this was my Christmas gift to myself. Additionally, I asked to change my jewellery in my conch (already healed) to a ring which my piercer graciously did, however they used a ring that was clearly too small. A few days later I woke up in the night in so much pain I had to take it out, so I actually have one less piercing than I did before spending money here.

Fantastic experience: Ordered a septum ring online and recieved it super fast! Ive gotten many piercings here and a few pieces of jewellery. Always a really friendly, lovely experience and fast shipping with the jewellery too! Will continue to come back

Fantastic experience: went to get my rook redone as the last place mucked mine up. Lora was an absolute gem, making me feel at ease! The whole place and vibe was upbeat, and the wee dog they own is absolutely adorable!! Fantastic experience: Went for a forward helix and a helix piercing and am looking every 5 seconds at the mirror to admire them— i’m obsessed! Jo was amazing. She was collaborative and took the time to answer my questions and gave her suggestions, all in all making sure my piercings were placed perfectly and that I was happy. She worked quick and her hands were very light. I had piercings all over the world and honestly it’s the best experience I’ve ever had. Special shoutout to Lora (and Chester) who welcomed me into the shop, answered my many questions and helped me choose my studs. Fantastic experience: Absolutely phenomenal experience! I could not recommend them more, the vibe of the studio is very wholesome and up beat. My friend and I got piercings from Lora and she was extremely professional and respectful. She went through the entire process with us thoroughly before starting and talked us through the actual piercing. My friend and I both have multiple piercings (16 for me) and I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences I have had. Everytime she went to touch me she would ask permission and explained that due to the placement of the piercing I may have a more emotional reaction to the piercing. I felt completely in control of the experience from start to finish and never felt uncomfortable with the process. She is also a damn fast piercer! It was over before my brain even caught up.

Fantastic experience: First came in for removal of some badly done highs expecting to have to pull all my nostrils piercings. Lora rose put me right at ease and made me feel confident in myself again. Had my highs redone yesterday by Lora rose and I think I'm in love! She is so attentive and professional yet makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable. She is also an exceptional piercer, minimal pain and over within 5 mins. If you are wanting any piercing, come here! You won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to tribal for years for my piercings and they have always looked after me so well there. They put me at ease before each one and it’s never been more than just a nip. I had the most amazing experience with Lora most recently and she was so great helping me with my new piercing. She was so chatty and friendly it really helped put me at ease. She really went above and beyond for me and she made it the best experience I’ve had there. Special shout out to her wee Chihuahua who was the cutest mascot I’d ever seen and the most chilled wee guy. Thank you Lora ! I’ll most definitely be back !

Negative experience: I went to get a triple flat piercing with Lora and was initially quite happy with placement etc. I realised very quickly that the jewellery was completely incorrect as the flat discs at the back were far to big and were intertwining with one another. I asked about this and the piercer suggested a downsize - two weeks after getting the piercings. I went to get a second and third opinion, both of which said these piercings were done at dreadful angles and the problem was both the jewellery and the piercer. I've since had a downsize elsewhere but they said that I also just did not have the anatomy for these piercings and the piercer should have never done them at all. One is particularly bad and is unlikely to heal so will have to be retired. Very weird experience on the day considering the piercers suggested to a passer-by to bring their dog into the shop and then the two piercers washed each others hands? Overall very strange and would not recommend unless you want crooked piercings that won't ever heal!

Fantastic experience: Popped in today as my friend wanted to see about getting her septum pierced. Ended up leaving with her new septum piercing, my 2 new nostril piercings and another friend left with a new tattoo. Had to bring my 1 year old daughter with us, and could not have asked for a better environment. From the minute we stepped in the door, we all felt very welcome and Lora was making my daughter smile and giggle away! Jo, the piercer who done my nose, made me feel at ease and took her time with doing my piercings! Will definitely be back for more piercings and tattoos in the future!

Fantastic experience: Everybody I spoke to in the store was lovely but Lora was incredible! Lora pierced my rook, which I’ve had done before a few years ago and it was a very botched job- but Lora redid it for me, explaining how they went wrong the first time. A real pro!!! She also made me feel super comfortable as I was nervous after my bad experience. Her wealth of knowledge gave me full confidence in her to do a great job and that she did. She was also incredibly friendly to my friend who was getting his first piercing. And she had stickers!!!!!!! A great place and now will be my go-to piercing spot :)

Fantastic experience: While vacationing in Edinburgh from the US, my husband,step son, and I all decided to each get a thistle tattoo to celebrate our Scottish heritage. Everyone at the shop was friendly and patient as we each made our tattoos personal and decided on individual placement. Our artist was a beautiful young lady who did the most excellent work on all 3. Her touch was as light and sweet as she was. We were amazed they were almost pain free and still look great a year later.

Fantastic experience: After getting pierced by Lora a couple years ago for the first time she's been my go to piercer, honestly an absolute gem and fantastic at making you feel so comfortable. I got my industrial and labret done by her yesterday and I will definitely be back for more, I think she's the friendliest piercer I've ever met and always delivers a top tier service. Anybody that's asks I always recommend going to see her at tribal, even though I live an hour away it's well worth the trip there and back because I always leave loving whatever she's done. 10/10 couldn't recommend her enough. And as always, everyone at tribal are just super friendly and help put you at ease, especially with their incredible music taste they have playing :p The shop itself is lovely, I love that it stands out on the street and inside it's full of jewellery and artwork, awesome in my opinion. I think it's also one of the cleanest places I've been and the guys there take their hygiene when piercing and tattooing very seriously, any people going to get pierced for the first time I highly recommend going here for an amazing atmosphere and experience

Fantastic experience: Got a hidden helix and a regular helix done with one of my friends. We had a wonderful experience! Our piercer was sweet and patient. She pierced based on my anatomy, which was wonderful. She gave us a list with recommendations to visit during our stay in Edinburgh, as we are from The Netherlands. I was amazed how quick it was and how painless, no more than a injection in the arm. Hilariously it took some time and several members of staff to get the ball into the ring. Fantastic experience: I booked in today for a triple piercing as a birthday treat, and my appointment was with Lora. I already knew I would like to get a Daith piercing but Lora helped me choose two others and I was more than happy to take her advice! I got a helix piercing to complete my other 9 and a conch too. I'm used to getting various piercings but I'm frankly a (censor here) and petrified each time I get a new one. However Lora gave me the most fabulous experience I could have asked for. She's bubbly and kind and just seems to have an innate understanding of how to engage with her clients and know exactly how to put them at ease. I've been unable to be outside for a long time so what could have been a nerve-wracking experience for me ended up being an incredibly positive one instead- I'm already looking forward to going back! I had a day-long session; he made sure I was comfortable the entire time, easily accommodated my requests for design adjustments, and the tattoos turned out better than I had anticipated. Negative experience: Went in to look at their range of jewellery. Person initially helping was lovely and welcoming. But a 2nd person appeared from the back with her customer, and instantly turned the whole experience horrible. It's great there's such high standards of hygiene in place but barking at me not to remove my existing piercing in store when I was simply touching the back of one to figure out what kind was there was utterly unnecessary. Least of all because her colleague had literally just asked me what I had in. This continued. Whilst serving her own customer, she demanded I go use the hand sanitizer at once. At which point I opted to leave instead. New customers visiting don't know the protocols which can easily be enforced in a respectful and supportive manner. They don't deserve to have a voice raised at them nor spoken to like a naughty child. Update: Felt it was only fair to mention that the initial person dealing with us, who was welcoming, actually said "I'm sorry about this" when I said I was just going to leave. She deserves acknowledgement for being a professional in the face of her colleague's behaviour. Unwelcoming and unfriendly. Can't recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went here on recommendation of a friend - couldn’t have picked a better place to get pierced!! I walked in, got a conch piercing, paid, walked out - it was professional, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. The gentleman who did the piercing was incredibly friendly, it was my first cartilage piercing and I felt so at ease. Got it downsized 4 months later for free too. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Have been in Edinburgh for a few days and decided I’d like to get a thistle tattoo as an early birthday present. Happened to walk into this tattoo studio at the right time as they had a walk-in spot available. The woman at the front was friendly and professional and helped me find the design I wanted. Fantastic experience: Long overdue review as I went in December of 2023. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Tribal Body! Hannah was my piercer and they, as well as Ash were so friendly and efficient. This was my first time being pierced with a needle instead of a gun and I felt so safe and comfortable in their very capable hands. It was painless, and the space was so clean and inviting. They truly were great! All I had done were my second lobes, but I wanted to go back in and get my thirds done as soon as I left and am still slightly salty I didn't. The piercings they gave me have the best placement and healed so much quicker than previous ones I had done elsewhere (which still give me trouble sometimes). I truly don't know how I could go anywhere else for any future piercings, which is saying something as I live in the States. Thank you both so much!!

Fantastic experience: I decided to treat myself and get a couple of ear piercings (conch and second lobe) here for my birthday last week and I'm so happy I did! It had been about 5/6 years since my last one so I was a bit nervous but it went so so smoothly, Reese explained everything so clearly and made me feel incredibly comfortable - nothing was rushed and everything was double checked. They're healing perfectly using the aftercare and I can't wait to come back for more now!

Fantastic experience: Booked ear lobe repiercing a few days prior and paid a £10 deposit. On the day I arrived a little early, I filled in the short waiver form and was taken to a little room which was very clean and welcoming. I picked the studs I wanted and Ash explained the whole process very clearly. It was pretty much painless and was over and done with within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this salon for piercing ☺️

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best piercing place in Edinburgh. Place is spotless and everyone is lovely and welcoming. Ashleigh has done a few of my piercings now. She's thorough, talks you through what she's doing and puts you at ease. Added bonus is she's a great laugh and we put the world to rights while I'm there. Anna gave me great advice on jewellery when i arrived. Choice of jewellery is great as well.

Fantastic experience: Got tattooed by Callum today and delighted with end result, got it absolutely perfect. Was practically painless I highly recommend Callum for a tattoo. Good luck finding custom body jewellery to match the quality and beauty of these pieces for you will be hard pressed to do so. Ash was amazing and tried to make everything possible in order to get me my piercing. They also got amazing tattoo designs. Definitely coming back!!

Fantastic experience: I just want to say thank you to the whole team. I didn't catch the lady's name at the reception, however both her and Sarah did an amazing job. This was also probably the quickest and most efficient service I ever received. I was a bit anxious to begin with, as I went in to get a helix ring. However both staff members accommodated me so well. Thank you Sarah for assuring me that it won't hurt that bad(and it didn't)and for being so nice to me. Couldn't be happier with the experience there.

Fantastic experience: Great place, I felt welcomed and hardly felt any pain whilst being pierced, they also have reasonable prices, I will definitely recommend and use Tribal Body Art again.
