Fantastic experience: I went all of a sudden in the evening yesterday as I was planning from a very long time, but whenever I try to take appointment, I never make it so yesterday was the day and I met Jessie a very kind professional. She was already doing work for someone since morning, and she told me that this will take time, and if I can come later, and I showed up around 7 o’clock in the evening, but even though she was quite tired, but she didn’t say no to me. We work on my Tatoo’s designing 8 started around 8:30 ended at 11 o’clock, but even though it was quite late in the evening, she did not compromise on her work and she gave me the exceptional result and finishing was top notch, I made 5 tattoos Can’t show them all, but I’ll show you oneI’m so happy by her, Work. Fantastic experience: My kids and I were in the area and decided to get my teenage daughter's cartilage pierced on the whim. The shop took us as a walk in right away and my daughter ended up getting her 3rd holes done too. Jessie was very friendly, welcoming.Her and my daughter are besties now. LOL There was even a guitar at the shop that Jessie offered my son to play. We'll be coming back next year for matching tattoos for her 16th birthday. In the meantime, I booked an appt for a well overdue coverup.

It was an emotional piece for me, and Jessie truly made my images come to life with incredible detail and care. The Artist Jessie was an absolute pleasure to work with. They listened to my ideas and turned them into beautiful, permanent tributes that I will cherish forever. Fantastic experience: We had an incredible experience at Blue Bird Tattoo in Jersey City, NJ. After driving all the way from Nassau County, NY, they were kind enough to accept us as a walk-in, and we’re so glad they did. The shop was extremely clean, well-organized, and clearly maintained with high standards, which immediately put us at ease—especially since this was the first tattoo experience for two individuals. Jessica was our artist and did an absolutely amazing job. Another artist, Jessie, was also incredibly friendly and welcoming, even though she wasn’t the one tattooing us. Jessica was patient, professional, and incredibly precise. The artwork was clean, detailed, and much less painful and faster than we expected. We were so impressed that we made an appointment for a second visit, and once again, the experience was outstanding. We found this shop through a Google search, and the reviews we read matched exactly what we experienced. Even though we have shops closer to home, we would absolutely return to Blue Bird Tattoo without hesitation. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Got a navel piercing. Over time developed a dark spot and bump. Asked the piercer i usually go to and he told me it's not in the right spot, its way too high, it's not straight, and I will be scarred. Would attach a picture but its ugly trust me. My friend also got an eyebrow piercing here and it got bumps and completely rejected. They ask people to write positive reviews before they even leave the shop. Edit: Funny they responded to the discoloration and bump but not the fact that it wasn't straight and not even in the right spot. The usual piercer I go to used the word "botched". :/

Negative experience: The shop itself is very clean and the people very friendly however I was disappointed to learn they used disposable piercing guns or "clips" (which I didn't recognize until after) I got my lobes pierced by Rebecca. She was patient and we spent a lot of time getting the placement right but after the swelling went down and I adjusted the jewelry to not be so heinously tight (butterfly backs) I noticed that she completely missed the marks that we had made and they had just been small enough that the jewelry hid them. It was a fine price and a pleasant experience, but I'm disappointed. Yes I am aware disposable clips are more sanitary as they are single use, but they still are essentially doing the same thing with blunt force and I would've preferred a needle.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a great experience at Blue Bird - my husband had a tattoo updated, I had a new piece added to my shoulder, and we both had a drawing that our son made inked on us. Jessie did everything and was so great to work with - she took an inspiration picture I had for my piece and cleaned it up so that it would work better. The shop is spotless and they were happy to let our five-year-old wait on the couch with his tablet. Fantastic experience: Dropped in today looking for a small wishbone tattoo. Was greeted by Chris who was super friendly and got my stencil created and prepped my skin for the tattoo. From start to finish, Jesse was professional, approachable, and incredibly talented. I came in with a rough idea of what I wanted, and Jesse turned it into a stunning piece of art. She listened carefully to my ideas, added her own creative input, and made sure the design was exactly what I envisioned. The level of detail and precision in her work is truly remarkable! The tattoo turned out even better than I imagined. The lines are crisp, the shading is flawless, and the colors are vibrant. Negative experience: I take no pleasure in writing this 1 Star review, but I feel like it’s necessary. As you can see I got my first tattoo (red lotus) from Jesse last year and left a 5 Star review, however my last tattoo in October was a completely different experience. Which lead to me having to start the laser removal process next week. On top of that, she would not give me any money back. Not even the $140 tip I left her or the $100 deposit for the second session that I canceled after seeing the results of the first. So what happened? I originally had a tattoo of a tree on my right forearm. I decided I wanted to add to it and create and half sleeve landscape. So, being happy with Jesse’s first tattoo, I went back to her and had full trust. I gave her a few pictures and ideas and trusted she would create something great. Well, that didn’t happen. She said to give her 10 days to come up with something. The day of my session, I confirmed we were still good, but she said she was sorry and needed to move our session back because she was sick. Ok fair, but that gave her two more weeks to work through my tattoo design. However, when I got to my session, it was like she didn’t even think about the design at all. She just went through the pictures I sent her while I was there and printed out some stuff. This is totally my fault and when I should have canceled the session, but I still trusted her. So we agree on the tattoo and we start. About 3 hours in, I over hear another tattoo artists saying “ I’m kinda nervous, this is my first color tattoo.” So I asked Jesse if there was a big difference between the color and black/grey tattoo. She said oh yea it’s a totally different technique and skill, and usually an artist focuses on one area. I had no idea, again my fault. And a little later she casually said that she mainly does color (which was my first tattoo with her). I mean, I think that’s something I would have loved to known before fully trusting her with a half sleeve of black/grey. Originally she quoted me for 3-4 hours, but after 4 hours the tattoo was about half done. She stopped mid, said her back hurt, and we could continue another session. I wasn’t aware of any issues yet, but once I took my dermaskin off after a week I was devastated. First, it didn’t look anything like the stencil. And as you can see in the pictures the lines are terrible and all over the place. So I spent $740 on this, and will now have to spend $1500 to lighten it enough to cover it up. And spend more money for the cover up. And she has no problem keeping my $140 tip and $100 deposit. Thankfully my deposit was on my credit card and I was able to dispute it and get it back. Just a sad and disappointing experience. And just wanted to give someone a heads up and warning to not get any complicated black/grey tattoo from her. I’ve been to 10 other artists to show the work and see what she did. And all 10 agreed that the work and design was shoddy and the only remedy was to get laser. One quick simple example, one artist said that nothing should have been added behind the original dark little birds, because the way shading and lighting works. And you can now see how terrible it makes them look.

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Jessie listens to you and wants what’s best for your look. She uses her creative ways to make a great tattoo and made my piece incredible. I came in 3 years ago originally to have something fixed up and now it’s a masterpiece. Very friendly coworkers and a really cool shop!

Jess was very polite and super understanding in the vision I had and did a an amazing job in nailng the idea.
