Fantastic experience: Me and my friend made an appointment with Rashad here at Red Baron to get our tattoo for nearly 10 years of being friends, so it was really important to us, and needless to say, Rashad did an amazing job and we’re both extremely happy with our tattoos. He made sure to work with us on the designs until it was perfect and 100 percent delivered on the actual tattoos as well. All of the staff at the shop were also extremely helpful and kind, the music was great, the shop was clean, prices are fair, and I will definitely be coming here for future work. They do piercings too! Shout out Rashad for two amazing tattoos. You can tell how much effort you put in and we appreciate it! And shout out everyone at Red Baron, you guys are great!

Fantastic experience: Ivi pierced my mantis and it came out amazing! She was so sweet, patient, and really took her time to make sure the placement was perfect. I always love coming back here because whether I’m being pierced or tattooed the staff is always amazing!

Fantastic experience: Literally the best experience and coolest tattoo ever. Just got my first large scale tattoo from the skilled and talented Grant yesterday and oh my god it’s so amazing!! I wanted a crow, told him a few other details and his design he had ready at the appointment was so awesome, exactly what I wanted and much more. And the tattoo experience itself was so chill, Grant made sure I was alright throughout the process and we had some cool talk about aliens and cryptids which I love lol. He even played some of my fave music during the session. Red Baron Ink is amazing everyone here is so creative, friendly and have mad skill! I highly recommend coming here, very happy and impressed with everything and they won’t disappoint you for sure

Fantastic experience: I absolutely have had great experiences at this shop. My tattoo artist, Susie has been an absolute pleasure every time I’ve been there. So friendly and absolutely stunning work. They are have currently done all of my tattoos up to this point. All of them have healed perfectly, with touch up’s being an easy process. They explain everything so thoroughly. As for the shop itself, it runs great events and deals from time to time. My latest visit was to their Friday The 13th event. Though my first event was a Halloween event, which they had lots of great flash available! They even held a Halloween costume contest, which I won! They are just a pleasure and I hope they stay in business for many years to come.

Fantastic experience: I've come here for my last few piercings, and without fail my experience with this shop is absolutely amazing every single time!! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind as a whole and make you feel comfortable within the space!! Recently, I got my conch pierced with Ivi. It is, without fail, the most effortless piercing I've ever gotten in my life! Ivi is incredibly knowledgeable about the work and is genuinely such a wonder to work with. They made me feel incredibly comfortable while getting pierced, which I neeededd. They made sure I loved the placement beforehand, and was so patient with me throughout the work, and it's resulted in my all-time favorite piercing. I'm hoping to get more piercings done soon, and would LOVE to get them again with Ivi as my piercer!!

Fantastic experience: Awesomeness at its best! Su Ji Lee was amazingly and extremely talented at doing my tattoo, following instructions and offering suggestions. It was way better than expected.

Positive experience: The staff are friendly and helpful, and the service is quality, however this place is SO expensive - I know many (most?) shops will let you downsize your piercing for no/discounted service charge if you were pierced by them, but that’s not the case here, which is disappointing. I also didn’t know they’d charge me an additional $15 for the post of my earring when I originally got it done (the earring was already $280, and no one mentioned that that price didn’t include the post?). Also both times I have gone there they were late for my appointment. One was 15 mins which is whatever, but the other was a full 45 mins past my appointment time. I dunno, weird vibes. I love my piercing though and it healed very quickly and easily. Very mixed opinions about this place.

Fantastic experience: One of the best tattoo experience ! Contacted from online, told what I wanted, arrived in NYC and to the shop, she exactly had an amazing drawing ready that was fitting my idea. The tattoo was super fun, she is gentle, she doesn't mind taking breaks and she is chatty which is super nice to put your mind on something else ! The price was really good too ! Now, more that for me it was Canadian to USD, but I think for the quality and price it's worth every penny ! Recommend a 100 ! Would go back of I go back to NYC !

Fantastic experience: My piercer was Ivi and she was absolutely amazing in helping me choose the right starter jewelry and gauge size (14g) for my (currently healing) side labret. She helped map out and answer any questions I had in regards to figuring out the aftercare process for lip piercings. She also gave me some advice in getting another lip piercing to finish the pair of spider bites I’m considering getting. Ivi was very thorough and was very sweet even when I was panicking. She also helped me choose another piece (18g) for my healed nose piercing that I also got done at RBI. I got a threadless 14g for my lip piercing. And a super cute and shiny 18g threadless lavender opal for my nose piercing. Definitely coming back and referring everyone here!

Fantastic experience: I found Red Baron Ink on Instagram back in 2014, and it’s now 2022—yet I still use them to this day. When I was living in New York, I went to them regularly. After moving from New York to Florida, I still traveled back just to get tattooed by them. That alone should say everything. I have about 13 tattoos, and every single one of them is from Red Baron Ink. I’ve put friends and family on so much that they’ve either gotten tattooed there themselves or at least followed the shop. Their staff, their ink, their professionalism, and the overall atmosphere are absolutely phenomenal—truly next level. I’ve accompanied friends to other tattoo shops, and honestly… nothing compares to Red Baron Ink. The moment you step foot into that shop, you just know you’re in great hands with everyone there. Red Baron Ink never disappoints. All of my tattoos are by Grant, and his work speaks for itself. Update – February 2025: I will always be loyal to this place. I recently got a new piece done by Grant, gave him my ideas, and he brought them to life perfectly. I’m in love with my latest deer piece—and I’ll definitely be back soon to start another one.

Fantastic experience: Roger did my tattoo, it was a partial cover up and he did absolutely amazing!! Super communicative from the moment I walked into the shop. They are very transparent about pricing so there’s no confusion with that. This was my first time and I will definitely be back!! If you’re ever worried about a judgy tattoo shop, this place is the exact opposite of that

Fantastic experience: Ivi!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. I have gotten all of my piercings and jewelry at RBI and everyone there knows that I’m like a kid in the candy shop when trying to choose jewelry. Ivi is always SO patient and so kind allowing me to try out different pieces to curate a cohesive ear. We move things around, we add new pieces, and today a new piercing!!! Ivi is the literally best and truly just a light in general. Go check them out!!!

Fantastic experience: Being tattooed here was such an amazing experience. I was visiting NYC for the first time from the West Coast and wanted to get a more permanent souvenir. I reached out to request an appointment & was told that Nicole would be the prefect artist to bring my idea to life. She was amazing to work and communicate with. The day of my appointment I had some small last minute changes that I wanted to run by her and she was very understanding & accommodating. She was a blast to talk to while she was tattooing. She took my idea and turned it into a piece of art. Honestly, everyone in the shop was amazing. It was very clean and full of cool books and art. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I found this shop through the APP website after having some complications with piercings done at another shop. The difference in caliber and quality between here and the shop I went to previously is insane. Ivi has been so great with recommending jewelry and helping with aftercare of those previous piercings. I’ve since had four more over the last two or so months, and they’ve all been great! You can tell that Ivi and everyone else are super passionate about their art, both piercing and tattooing. If you’re curious at all, definitely stop by. They run primarily through appointments, but everyone is very friendly and willing to take some time to connect about whatever it is that you might want!

Fantastic experience: 2nd time getting a helix piercing done at Red Baron, this time by Ivi! Everything was pretty seamless, and she's super personable, quite gentle, walks you through everything as she's going along so you know what to expect. Even offered a squishy star stress ball for the big stabby moment I love that she offered placement adjustments so my new sword could fit just as intended. This is the expertise I look for. She knows what she's doing! I felt well taken care of.

Negative experience: Got a tattoo earlier in the year (around May?), Gave a reference photo and was quoted a price that seemed a little steep, but it’d been 10 years since I’d gotten a tattoo, so what do I know? When I got to the shop, the artist had a pretty piece that wasn’t anything like an asked for and MUCH larger than requested. He seemed upset that he had to redo the work but like??? Why ask for a reference and descriptions of what I’m wanting if you’re just gonna do your own thing? The new piece was MUCH smaller and what more akin I had asked for. At the end, the price was not adjusted at all even though the new piece was a fraction of the size of what the artist originally planned on doing. I spent nearly $500 for a very small tattoo. I could have put up a fuss but the environment was very much not my speed (a personal opinion and not something I’m really knocking them for) and I JUST wanted to leave. And TBH it should have lied on the artist, not the consumer to let whoever was at the register know that, in my opinion. It’s a pretty piece- for which they gained an extra star- but definitely NOT worth the price I paid. At the end, they got me for my money, lesson was learned on my part and I won’t be going back. It’s a great conversation piece cause everyone is SHOCKED when they hear the price I paid. For reference, I paid nearly the same amount for the incredibly detailed MUCH larger piece of the angel/devil, from a different shop (who was also shocked when they saw the piece and heard the price)

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing the staff are so cool and professional and the quality of service is outstanding. I have gotten two tattoos by Grant and he could not have been more attentive to my needs. He listened to my concerns and gave expert advice while giving me complete freedom over my tattoos. He also made sure I was comfortable through every step of the process. I even mentioned I liked Janis Joplin and he put her music on which really helped me relax. I now have two beautiful tattoos that I’m so proud of. Definitely recommend Red Baron Ink!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Gab today. This was my first time going here and I wasn’t disappointed! I went in to check on my eyebrow piercing to make sure it’s healing well and possibly downsize it. Gab was the sweetest! I loved having a session with them. They were super friendly and explained everything perfectly. I definitely will be coming back! This will be my go to piercing shop! I recommend Gab, they are the best!

Fantastic experience: I walked into Red Baron asking for an anti-eyebrow piercing and walked out with my favorite piercing ever. The lovely Ivi was my piercer, and they first made sure I had the anatomy for this piercing since it's known to reject. I was scared to get this knowing it's rejection rates, but Ivi used the proper surface bar, walked me through the whole aftercare process, and was extremely kind with explaining this piercing. Ivi was extremely well educated about this piercing and I was very confident after knowing everything they'd told me. I decided to get it and it was such a great experience. Ivi was gentle, kind, understanding, and took their time making sure I was comfortable through the whole process. The total price was $200-250, but the service and jewelry they gave me was truly worth all of it. All the staff are so welcoming and kind, and Ivi is the most talented piercer I've ever met. It's been 3 months since I've gotten it and it's been healing greatly. Thank you so much to Ivi for my most favorite piercing I've ever gotten. I'm in love with it and I'm truly glad I was able to get pierced by someone who was extremely well educated about surface piercings. If you're going to get an anti-eyebrow piercing, or any piercing for that matter, please get it here!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been wanting to get my third lobe piercings for a while but kept putting it off. Since I work just a few feet away, I finally decided to stop in for more info—and I’m so glad I did. Ivi did an amazing job, and their calm, relaxed energy made the whole experience so comfortable. Fantastic experience: Came in looking for a large gauge initial lobe piercing to start my stretching journey. Booked with IVI who did an amazing job showcasing their work on their IG page. Extremely clean and professional shop, did not try to upsell me, delivered exactly what I was looking for. Was warm welcomed by Grant, Susie and Gabe; all whom made me feel comfortable and made sure I was sufficiently hydrated. Ivi was extremely warm, recommended starting at 6G, and paired me with top notch glass jewelry. Ivi was meticulous with placement and puncturing, even making adjustments on the fly. Ensured I was hydrated and stable before setting me free. 10/10; would let IVI preform surgery on me, too bad they don’t offer that service. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: I came in recently, interested in an anti eyebrow piercing, and got it done flawlessly by Ivi. They had extremely relaxed energy, seeming to know the ins and outs of every single procedure and question I had to ask about piercings. I have had multiple piercings done, including my tongue and nipples, and Ivi has by far made me feel the most comfortable and in good hands out of anyone who's stabbed me. Would recommend all the way.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place and people! I had the best piercing experience with Ivi! To put this review into perspective, I have had multiple facial piercings in the past including eyebrow, tongue, nostrils, septum, snakebites, and a vertical labret all done by either myself or another piercer. Ivi was by far the most talented and meticulous with piercing placement and technique. It is a very clean shop but they also have an autoclave on site and they know how to operate it!! Very much green flags in a piercer. On top of all this, they were very kind and walked me through the process! If anyone asked me where to go for a piercing this is now my #1 suggestion. Thank you so much I love my labret!!!!!

I walked in to browse their jewelry and ended up making an appointment for the following week. Everyone at the shop is super friendly and welcoming - good vibes all around. Ivi was incredibly attentive, enthusiastic and helpful during the entire experience from picking the jewelry, discussing placement, and my changing my mind at the last minute on one of the earrings. During the actual piercing, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the studio, and that Ivi was very detail oriented and took great care with placement and making sure I was comfortable. I didn't feel rushed at any point which was really nice (which I've experienced a bit at other places as I have multiple piercings on my other ear). My ear's doing great 3 days afterwards, and the aftercare instructions were helpful and clear. I'm in love with the white gold angel wing stud, totally worth the splurge. 10/10, thank you!

I had Seung Won Lee as the artist, he listened to what I wanted and created a design that was exactly what I was looking for, better than I could've come up with! Everyone here was extremely attentive and professional, also empathetic as this was a memorial tattoo and also my first. Extremely clean environment, left me with no concern. I got a fine line tattoo, and it is very precise and healed great, looks just as good as when I got it several weeks ago. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: amazing experience and customer service! i went in to get my tongue pierced and it went amazing. maizie was super kind and thorough in her explanations and talked me through everything she did. she did have to repierce me since she wasnt happy with the angle of the first one and i was really grateful! it was my first time getting pierced and i lowkey almost passed out a few times but maizie was super patient. the facilities were super clean and the other workers were all so friendly. i highly reccommend and i'll definitely come back to get something else pierced!

Fantastic experience: I came to RBI to see Gloria after getting married because I wanted a tattoo of my wedding flowers! Gloria did such an incredible job, from me sending the wedding pictures to her double checking what the names of the flowers were to her amazing line work it’s always a pleasure to work with her! Fantastic experience: I worked with Eric Delvirus and his work is spectacular. I wanted a Jim Lee-style X-Men tattoo of Gambit and Rogue to commemorate my engagement to my partner, and Eric went above and beyond! His style was perfect for the design I wanted and he was extremely flexible in making sure the schedule lined up perfectly. 7 hours worth of work later, I have a stellar piece I’m proud to show off. 10/10 would recommend for anyone in the market for new ink!

Negative experience: $150 for a Nose Piercing That Lasted 3 Weeks — A Bargain I’ll Never Forget I got a nose piercing at their Verse Bar event on June 21 and paid $150 (plus a generous tip) for what I assumed was quality jewelry. Silly me! Turns out, it was more like a rental — because after just 3 weeks, the jewelry fell out of my nose on its own. No tug, no twist, no drama. Just… gone. Naturally, I contacted them right away, thinking they’d do the bare minimum and make things right. By the time I made it to their downtown location, my piercing had closed. They gave me a half-hearted “sorry,” and when I politely asked if they could do anything else, the manager called the owner — who very graciously offered me a 15% discount to redo the piercing. Because yes, obviously I’m dying to spend more money on something that didn’t even last a month. Spoiler: I didn’t take the offer. I’m disappointed, not delusional. So let me get this straight: I paid luxury salon prices for bargain-bin jewelry, lost the piercing in less time than a Netflix free trial, and was told I could pay again — just slightly less this time. What a magical experience. If you’re into overpriced piercings, cheap materials, and customer service that acts like doing the bare minimum is a favor — congratulations, you’ve found your spot. Me? I’ll pass. And I recommend you do the same.

Fantastic experience: Xavier is literally the best piercer I have ever had. Truly owns up to his APP credentials. I’ve had 6 six piercings with him and not a single one hurt or became infected.

First appointment was made very smoothly with quick professional response from the shop. As I mentioned above, I asked for retouch and redo my tattoos that were done not so professionally by someone else, and the artist Dave Ganjamie (Instagram: @ganjtattoos)took my concerns and request, then made my 3 tattoos back to alive with his great work and skills! Dave has provided me an advise, his views and everything that I wanted/needed to know and aware as a client. I left the shop very happy, and after his outstanding work, friendly and professional service for my 3 retouch/redo, I am coming back to this shop and Dave for more tattoos. Fantastic experience: I stopped by as a walk-in needing to get my lobe pierced. The space is bright, clean and has plenty of inspiration for tattoos and piercing if you need help! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, and they helped me pick out the perfect jewelry to compliment my existing piercings. Maisie was my piercer and was kind, attentive and very quick - I didn’t feel a thing Will definitely be returning in the future!
