Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at live by the sword in union square! I wanted to get the other side of my nose pierced and I got it done by Erika Vinefog. She was very nice and informative helping me pick a good nose stud that matched my other one. I recommend her for sure! I also recommend booking your appointments early in advanced so you don’t have to wait a long time for someone to be available. I will come back!

Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo from the $50 book with shading done by James. He was very patient while I decided on the placement (which I changed twice because I’m very picky). It was fairly quick and came out very pretty and reasonably priced with tip. I usually go to the soho location but I was in the area and decided to give union square a chance and it was a solid 10/10 experience. I also got a cartilage piercing done here in the past and haven’t had any issues with it since.

Fantastic experience: BRI is the best did my piercing super quick, no pain and explained the healing process perfectly! Would highly recommend her!!! I don’t think im gonna go to anyone else now.

Fantastic experience: I got an industrial piercing from Ericka and it was a great experience! I was worried that I didn't have the anatomy for an industrial but Ericka said she would check and not to worry, that she wouldn't force anything that didn't work with my ear. She checked it out and explained exactly why it did work and how she would do the piercing. I was nervous but was immediately put at ease by how chill and knowledgeable she was. I also had lost my voice the day before and was communicating via notes app, which I found mildly embarrassing but Ericka (and whoever checked me in) were both completely unphased which made me feel a lot better. I'm still super early in the healing process but my aftercare instructions were thorough and so far I have minimal pain and no complications. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I got my eyebrow pierced last December by Darkell. He clearly explained to me how the healing process would be and what to avoid. After deciding where i wanted the piercing the process itself was swift and easy. Definitely go to him!

Fantastic experience: This review is probably about a month overdue, but I was pierced for the first time by Ericka last month and she was the best piercer to have my septum and nose done by as a first timer. I initially let her know about my nervousness, and she was amazing at calming my nerves and informing me about the entire process including aftercare and what I can expect afterwards. She was very knowledgeable going into it and after the fact, and even emailed me an aftercare guide as well. I would definitely go back to her in the future, and book with Ericka if you can!

Positive experience: We had a very good experience getting my 15 year old pierced at this shop. It was extremely busy for a Monday night, but organized, well lit, and most importantly, clean. My teenager appreciated the same day appointment availability. Darkell was knowledgeable and professional. He took his time making sure the marks were level before performing the piercing and was thorough in explaining aftercare. I have his card for follow up questions and he even helped my daughter put proper jewelry in her self-done 2nd lobe piercing. Our appointment was only scheduled for the septum, but he pierced her bridge as well. The only reason that I am rating 4/5 stars is because I purchased jewelry for my own lobe at a mark up and it was not the correct gauge so my $40 gem post pulled through the same night never to be seen again. If not for basically losing that money it would have been a five star experience. I would definitely go back to this shop again for another piercing for my daughter, although I would go on a Tuesday & take advantage of their buy one get one half off piercing deal. The only hiccup we had was that my 15 year old doesn't have photo ID, so make sure that yours does & bring it if you're getting work done on a minor. We had to get creative to prove my daughter's age because birth certificate plus my id wasn't sufficient. All in all, I recommend this shop if you don't mind getting work done in a fast paced, busy environment and in an open room with many stations side by side kind of like a large hair salon.

Fantastic experience: I loved everyone at the store, everyone was really kind! I got my piercing done by Valeria, she was so kind and was asking if I had any questions. Especially relaxing me, when she pierced my ears. Most definitely will book with her again for my next piercings!

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Cami Vergara. She told me she would send photos of my ear piercings “the next day,” but I didn’t receive anything for over a month and a half. I followed up with simple messages, but received no response. After seeing her posting but not responding, I finally sent a single “Excuse me?” to check in, and she sent the photos - but there was no apology for the long delay. Instead, she criticized my tone, basically blaming me for being frustrated, which was ENTIRELY AND CLEARLY caused by her lack of communication. The lack of communication and professionalism was extremely frustrating. I would not recommend her services.

Fantastic experience: I made an appointment for a quick jewelry purchase and had a technician put it in my nose as I haven't had anything in there for a few years (lol!) and felt safe with a professional doing it all for me. Steven (not a "ph") was an expert at taking me right to what I was looking for and helped me make decisions I was unsure of. I felt safe to trust his opinion, after all, he is the expert. I recommend making an appointment as this place fills up with walk-ins! But highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Joce did a fantastic job on my tattoo! Picked it out of a flash book but customized it to my liking and increased the size for a small increase in price! Definitely recommend if you’re in NYC and wanna get something to remember it by forever

Negative experience: I went to get a lobe piercing, it hurt like they used a gun. My friend went to get a piercing, it didn’t go through completely and a piece of skin was still attached. I went to get the earrings I got from this place removed, because it was shitty and so difficult to remove (it wasn’t just me, because my roommate who switches her earrings a lot struggled), and they charged me $10 and lied to me that I had to buy new earrings right then and there, because my piercing might close within a few hours (they knew it was multiple months old). I don’t understand why this place is so packed and rated so high when they overcharge and don’t have good services. I can’t speak for the tattoos though .

I got my nose jewelry put in and she was beyond knowledgeable and seems very very passionate. Positive experience: This place is really a gamble on whether or not you'll get decent service I've gone 3 times in total 1/3- I get there and the piercer is super curt and it was obvious she didn't want to do my peircing. Even tried to "warn" me my snug would be a "waste of money" even though I have very good anatomy for it. And even started insisting I'd start regretting it after I got it because it hurt? All peircings hurt so idk what that was about. Then she scoffed in my face when I said (upon being asked) that I didn't personally screen print the design on my shirt. Weird and elitist vibe of the entire place. But I forgave her because the snug she did was done very well and I still have it. 4/10 vibe 10/10 peircing 2/3- I go there and the peircer (a different one) is actually very nice, conversational and accommodating, and I am happy with the peircings (just 2 helixes) 10/10 3/3- I made an APPOINTMENT for 7:30. Okay. I get there at 7:30, the receptionist looks up at me and smirks like there's some joke floating around my head I'm not privy too. Tells me to wait a couple minutes, so I wait.. for 40. FORTY MINUTESSSSS. dude. No one said a word to me. I don't think the peircer I booked with was even there. I wanted a check up. It probably would've talked 4 seconds. But I was there waiting until 8:15. At that point I decided to go home. So. Idk if I'll be returning. If anyone's reading this don't bother to make an appointment just show up. I've never waited so long just showing up without an appointment. It's actually insane.

Negative experience: I got my navel piercing done here by Valeria. When it became swollen, I came back to have the jewelry changed. The piercer put the wrong jewelry on me, placing a flat disc on the top of my navel, which caused it to dig into and cut my skin and made the inflammation much worse. I went to a different piercer, who immediately confirmed the jewelry was incorrect and replaced it with proper rounded ends. The pain improved right away. Maybe go to somewhere more experienced and professional.

Fantastic experience: Love going here for my piercings. Great atmosphere and amazing staff. My go to girl is Sylvia and I 10/10 recommend getting an appointment with her. She did my eyebrow and conch piercing recently and they are healing really nicely. Great experience and can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: I had both my nipples pierced by Darkell. I was expecting a lot of pain because of the area, but the piercing part was quick and smooth (the process was faster than I expected). Darkell was extremely professional and respectful. He made sure I was ok during the process. He took his time with the placement which is a plus to me. He made sure I left knowing the proper aftercare (what I can do and don’t, what products to use and avoid, etc). So far the healing has been great without issues. If someone is considering nipple piercing, I recommend this place and to book it with Darkell.

Fantastic experience: As someone who went for their first time getting pierced professionally, I would recommend this place 1001%. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to needles and Cami my piercer was amazing! She was so sweet and intentional with every action. She pierced my conch and tragus with so much care and make sure I was comfortable the entire time. Cami also give me a lot of advice when it came to how to take care of my new piercings, and make sure I was aware of any risks and pricing before starting. Afterward, she gave me time to process and a bottle of water to Decompress. As a first time person, all the staff was lovely and inviting. I can’t wait to go back for some more! They also honored all of the sales going on at the time, and I appreciate them for their high-quality attentiveness and reassurance.

Fantastic experience: today i got two tragus piercings by Phunky! (IG: Cyberneedles) it was the best experience ever! My piercings were done perfectly, quickly and painlessly. Phunky is so fun they were so fun to chat with and created such a comfortable environment where i felt so safe and like they were a master professional i really trusted them and it went perfectly. They talked me through all the aftercare, answered all my questions very carefully and throughly and helped me find the perfect jewelry i wanted! I cannot reccomend getting pierced by Phunky enough!!

Negative experience: I have admired this piercers work since I moved to NYC. @shinysharpthings insta (i think) their name is Dianne. We had been messaging on Instagram and they were super nice! I was so excited to meet them and get it done. I made the apt for cheek piercings and when I go check in I see them, the front desk tells me Dianne had to cancel due to a emergency and they have someone else to do it. (Cheek piercings are a advanced piercing that need to be done by someone that's experienced and I did lots of research and trusted only Dianne). I understood and just made another apt while I was there to see Dianne a different time. I leave the shop and see that the apt gets canceled right away I msg Dianne and ask when they're available and why it got canceled and they say if i have any other questions to contact customer service, and that they will not be piercing me for the foreseeable future and that they don't feel comfortable piercing me. I was so surprised because I didn't understand what I did wrong to be treated that way. I didnt do anything I feel like I may have been mistaken for someone else. It was very unprofessional and strange for Dianne to lie about an emergency and then say that they actually didnt pierce me because i made them uncomfortable? I was so confused because everything was going so well with our conversations on insta and I didnt say anything inappropriate? I called and asked the shop if they knew what was up because Dianne didn't respond to me and they said they didn't know why either? I've worked in customer service too my whole life and I think it's important to be transparent with clients and also if the shop does wrong they should do something to make their customers want to come back. But I feel like they just made me feel like I did something outrageous or inappropriate like I'm a bad person but I literally didn't do anything. They made me feel like I was crazy. I am never going back here or recommending Dianne to anyone. It's just a shame because I was really rooting for her. I'm usually not one to complain too, but I think this was just wrong..

Negative experience: This location was extremely crowded, with a line and waiting area of 40-50 people. It felt very unorganized and unsanitary. I went to the front desk to get piercing jewelry, but the wait time was about 10 minutes. I asked the lady at the counter if I could ask her something. She asked if I had already talked to the person at the front, and I told her he hadn’t asked for any info except to point me to the jewelry. While she was waiting for her client to decide, I asked about the prices. She told me, but when I asked for help, she said, “I have a client.” Why was she so dismissive? She could have just pointed me back to the front desk or asked her colleague to check me in. It was a really rude experience.

Fantastic experience: Shoutout to Ericka! I got my nose piercing done at another shop and it was not healing well at all. I had a nasty piercing bump for two months that just kept coming back. Ericka took one look, knew exactly what to do, and got that sucker right out. My piercing is completely flat now and finally healing the way it should. So grateful for her and the way she even follows up on the piercing after your appoinment!

Negative experience: The receptionist at the front desk with red/fuchsia hair was very disrespectful. They spoke in a condescending tone and inserted themselves into a private conversation I was having with my friend. I’ve had all of my piercings done here in the past, but after this experience, I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: This shop was amazing! I got my first tattoo here a few weeks ago from Matt who was so friendly and helpful and answered a lot of the questions me and my friends had. Then I came back a few days ago and met with Byron who did my second tattoo and is now leading to my first custom piece that I’ve been very excited about for a while now! Just between those 2 alone the artists here are very knowledgeable, welcoming, and caring especially to first timers! I can’t recommend this place enough and I look forward to working with Matt and Byron more in the future and hopefully some of the other artists as well!

Fantastic experience: Aspen is such an awesome and amazing soul such a great vibe from him. Honestly first time getting pierced and went nuts for 6 for a specific look. And i must say he knows his stuff. Gave me water just incase (no charge some people do) had such a great night made me feel safe and in good hands. Im from NJ and came all the way here and i honestly don’t regret after such great enthusiasm and social connection with him. Definitely gave me best advice made me feel right at home and no negative vibes. Sounds to good to be true but i guess the only way to find out is if you go out and see. Fantastic experience: First time visiting this place and was absolutely impressed! Had my tragus + conch pierced by Cami who was super friendly, offered great recommendations for my ear anatomy, and provided next steps to care for my piercings as they heal. Definitely planning on coming back for more :)

Fantastic experience: I forget the name of the girl, but she had a black bob and extremely glowy skin, this woman completely made the experience and I will 100000% be coming back just for her. From the moment we walked in she was beyond sweet, she helped assist us and filled us in about what different types of jewelry to get and was very open about pricing. She did my boyfriends ear lobes and talked him through the whole thing, took her TIMEEEE and let both me and him see it and she used a measuring tool to insure it wasn’t even a eighth of an inch off center. From all the adrenaline, after he got it done, he started to feel dizzy. She IMMEDIATELY comforted him, told him to breathe while she ran to get him a glucose tablet? i forget what it was called and a bottle of water. NOT ONLY THAT, but she layed him down and instructed him on what to do and put a wet towel on his forehead and on the back of his neck (she also has such a calming voice so that also i’m sure was nice when ur abt to pass out). Are we serious the amount of care for her client was beyond. MIND YOU, THIS WAS WHILE THEY WERE CLOSING UP and when i realized they were closing i was like omg i’m so sorry and started to grab the coat and she was SOO reassuring to stay as long as we needed to. So also keep that in mind when I said before she was talking us thru the whole thing like this woman was willing to work over her shift just to bring the best customer satisfaction. Literally angel sent from heaven. Everything about this experience was above and beyond and this woman is just perfect. Picture below of what she looked like. We came on a saturday night so not sure of her schedule but try sat night. Also shoutout to the manager at the front desk too she was chill. Thank you so much!!!!!

Fantastic experience: A year ago, I got my nipples pierced by Erika Vinefog and the entire process was informative, professional, and incredibly well done! It all healed so well. Recently, I made the mistake of taking my jewelry out for a day and I wasn’t able to put them back in (it happens!). I went back to Erika and she was able to explain why this happened. Through a lot of patience, she was able to taper both piercings open again and put my bars back in!! I was fully expecting to need to re-pierce them but Erika worked a miracle today lol. Can’t recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: Aspen was absolutely amazing, was very patient with my picky ass. The Kitty bites he pierced on me came out great, healed perfectly. When I came back to get them downsized he took his time to find the right size and even ended up ordering the right size me for me so I could get them the next week and worked with me as much as possible to make sure I was happy with the results. And was really nice and had a very comforting vibe, I love the piercings so much :)

Negative experience: I honestly would not recommend going here. When I went to get my eyebrow pierced the piercer never communicated to me that I didn’t have the anatomy for it. It wasn’t until I went to get it taken out by a second piercer at this location that I found out when she told me. I would have never gotten it done if that was the case. Please train your staff to communicate better. I wasted money on the piercing and the jewelry for nothing. Of course it ended up rejecting.

Fantastic experience: I always have a wonderful experience coming to this location. I’ve been pierced by Sylvia and she did an amazing job. She’s also super sweet and changes my jewelry whenever I need it! I will continue coming back here for my future piercings/ tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I was pierced by Erika Vinefog, she is absolutely phenomenal. During my first appointment, she took the time with me to map out all the possible places for piercings, paying special attention to the anatomy of my ears. We ended up doing 6 lobe, 1 helix, and 1 daith piercings all in one go. Erika made the process so fun, not to mention as painless as possible. I am usually not good when needles and do not tolerate pain well in general, but Erika provided me with very detailed descriptions of what it was going to feel like step by step. This was so helpful, and SO accurate! Her technique is swift and gentle, making the entire process relaxing and fun. Erika is an absolutely incredible piercer, besides explaining the piercing process in great detail, she provided me with a wealth of information regarding the healing process. I came back after 2 months for a check up and jewelry change, and every single piercing was healed and healthy, thanks to her guidance.

Fantastic experience: A few months ago I had to remove my nose ring that I had since 2017 for an MRI. I was too lazy and didn’t put it back in until a few days later so I thought my hole closed. Fast forward to 11/8/25, I got my nose I guessed re-pierced by Gabe today.. He was very pleasant and friendly. Thank you for teaching me a little bit more about my nose piercing. Definitely will return and get another piercing done :)

She took the time to listen to my concerns, validate my experience, and amazingly was able to locate and reopen my flat completely pain free. Erica explained each step of the process clearly, from how piercings close up to exactly what she was doing as she worked. Fantastic experience: Today I got both eyebrows pierced by Ericka. She was amazing. I came in for a bridge piercing but after she consulted me at length about it (including explaining my anatomy, the differences between migration and rejection, and even getting a second opinion) we decided that today wasn't the day for that. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I love my new piercings. Last year I got both nostrils pierced by Bella. She was also amazing and professional. She took her time patiently to make them exactly symmetrical and ensuring I was happy with the placement before piercing. The prices are reasonable for location and quality work. They're also willing to help you if anything goes wrong with your aftercare to ensure your piercings heal well. All of the staff are kind and welcoming and it is very clean. I highly recommend this shop.

Fantastic experience: I would trust Bri with my life!! I’ve been to so many piercers looking for someone I could stick with and I am so relieved to have found Bri. She’s so talented and lovely to work with! I have seriously never met a piercer who cares so much about her clients. She makes the experience as painless as possible and is so gentle. I didn’t even know getting piercings could be so painless before her!! And she’s so accessible if you have follow up questions as opposed to so many piercers who tell you they will be and then leave you in the dust. Fantastic experience: I got my ears (lobes) pierced here and it was such a lovely experience. It was my first piercing so I was a bit nervous but Bella made me feel so comfortable. She was very careful measuring my ears to make sure the piercings were even, which I really appreciated. I decided to upgrade my jewelry since I knew I'd have them in for a while, but the value here cannot be overstated, $10 is such a great deal. Fantastic experience: ASPEN WAS THE BEST. If you want a piercing, I beg you to go see him and get piercings done by him. He made sure everything was perfect and allowed me to switch the placement like five times and did not care. He was so meticulous with his work and I could not be more grateful to have him pierce me. Fantastic experience: Steven is the absolute best, every piercing I get from him heals perfectly and he’s so professional. When I got my nostril done with him I didn’t like the placement and he was able to change the placement without having to repierce it and change the jewelry that way too, demonstrating the incredible skill he has. He’s done at least my past 6 piercings !
