Steven is phenomenal at the work he does, all you have to do is take a look at his work! ALL staff at Black Dagger are so welcoming, absolutely hilarious and such a homely vibe. The studio is extremely clean too!! There are many many many amazing tattooist at Black Dagger so take a look at all their work before deciding, but Steven has done some beautiful tattoos on my arms. I have also had some work on my rib, which a protective screen was put around me and finding the most comfortable position for me to have this, this not only made me feel secure but also extremely cared for!! 100/10, love them all!!xx

Fantastic experience: If you want a dead honest review here it is!!! I first went to Black Dagger tattoo studio March 2020 and the professionalism, atmosphere, talent and pricing is second to none! From the first day in the door as a new customer having only a small tattoo done by Owen (at the start of his apprenticeship) I was treated like royalty/ family and from that day on I became a loyal customer and friend. I’ve since had both my legs completely tattooed check out the images attached. Black leg - most of the work done by Owen Colour leg - all done by Steven If you want a one stop shop that caters for all tattoo styles, piercings, free parking and a friendly atmosphere… then look no further!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had all 17 of my piercings and 8 tattoos done by Steven and I cannot recommend him enough! He’s incredibly talented, professional, and always takes the time to make sure everything is perfect. From start to finish he makes me feel completely comfortable and at ease, which makes such a difference, especially with my more personal pieces, and a cover up! His attention to detail, calm manner, and genuine care for his clients really sets him apart. I trust him completely and can’t recommend him highly enough! Also, the general vibes of the guys Black Dagger are always really friendly and I feel very at ease as a young female going in which was super important to me!

Negative experience: I should have stopped the procedure as not convinced all the equipment used was sterile. Piercer did not seem interested and more concerned about finding numbing cream for another client. I had to ask about aftercare as no advice given. Piercing has become infected leading to a trip to A&E on Boxing Day despite cleaning the piercing and my ear is very painful and now on antibiotics. Would not recommend

A true artist who took my idea for a tattoo and made it so, so much better than I thought it could be. My advice, if he tells you 'trust me, this will look amazing' then trust him. Fantastic experience: Just had a tattoo with the owner Simon, what a nice guy. This place is welcoming, warm and enjoyable! I asked if he could correct a small tattoo I had done elsewhere another time that had tiny gaps in it, and he did it there and then for free! Perfect

Negative experience: I've had to lower my stars as really disappointed with the staff with customer services. They clearly don't like doing piercings on people and when asking for a earlier appointment because I have mobility issues so I have to rely on my carer bringing me and I explained my self to a person at this place he clearly doesn't care. I'm very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Popped in with my daughter for a small matching tattoo, straight in filled forms in and had our tattoos, the staff were friendly and chatty which was nice, the apprentices were really nice and after chatting with them (some fantastic work from them both !)I’m booked in for a leg piece!! Fantastic experience: I've come here to get my septum, helix, and conch pierced so far. The piercer is friendly and reassuring and I felt very comfortable both times i've been. He talked me through the whole process and went through aftercare once the piercing was done. My septum has healed perfectly, no issues whatsoever, and my ear piercings are on their way to healing very nicely as well.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had her first ear peircing today with Steve. Though she had been asking for years I knew she would get upset on the day and didn't think she would manage to go through with it. However, Steve was brilliant with her, made her laugh, talked her through it and afterwards gave her some praise for being brave. She's delighted with herself and her ears! She said it wasn't painful and hasn't complained of any pain since. Thank you for taking the stress out of it for her (and me!) Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had a few sittings with Chantelle now, for several tattoos, in various styles. Currently re-working and adding to an old tattoo. She has revived and transformed a piece I was starting to really dislike. All of her work so far has been absolutely beautiful. Really great bunch of artists in the studio. Would happily sit with any of them. Always an enjoyable, laid back vibe. Clean and comfortable, and a cracking cuppa! I would always use and highly recommend this studio.

Fantastic experience: I have quite big scar on my leg, so wanted to get tattoo to hide it. Tattooist suggested the best option for me, to prevent other risks and done tattoo around the scar (because it was unsafe to do on it). And look at the results! I was amazed. Couple of years after colours doesn't gone anywhere and it still looks perfect! Highly recommend this salon and especially my tattooist Iggy!

Fantastic experience: I will only ever go to Black Dagger for my piercings and tattoos and they are the only place I recommend to friends as well. Steven has done most of my piercings and a lot of my tattoos there and I can honestly say that you won’t get better anywhere else. Negative experience: Had my nose pierced there Wednesday and it’s started embedding (3 days later), rang up this morning and they told me it’s normal and to ice it and take ibuprofen. They don’t have any different sized bars so I’ve had to go to a different piercer and pay them to change my bar. Swelling is normal but the bar should allow for that and they were not very reassuring when I rang. Embedding can lead to an A&E trip and I know this due to my own work within the ambulance service. Such a shame as all were very friendly there and it was hygienic. I will be avoiding and telling others to do the same when it comes to piercings.

Fantastic experience: I came here for my fourth lobe pearcing, for 9am. Service was prompt and friendly, professional, and reassuring. Lots of children come here to get their ears done, too, which is a nice touch to a tattoo shop. I will likely return for a tattoo in the future. My partner and friends come here for tattoos, a great group of professionals here.
