Fantastic experience: easily the best experience i’ve had getting a tattoo. Emma was so cool and easy to talk to she made the whole experience so easy. I live in the US but i will 100% be back when i’m back in England! . And the guy working the front desk (i believe his name was ryan) was so cool and helpful. he’s the reason I ultimately decided to go with black plague. 11/10!!!

Fantastic experience: I do not have the words for how amazing my experience was! I genuinely am still struggling to put it all into words. Context: This was my FIRST ever tattoo; I am an autistic perfectionist; and I was a bit nervous as I had wanted this tattoo for 8 yrs so there was a lot of mental build up. I am SO glad I chose to come here. Front desk (Ryan, I believe?) was BEYOND friendly, and put me right at ease. The place is sleek and has an incredibly trustworthy chill vibe, super friendly and wholesome feeling. As for Mia, I CANNOT speak highly enough of her. As you can see, my flying key tattoo was absolutely beautiful and stunning; she has the lightest touch, it was seriously not painful in the least, and she was warm, friendly, and we just chatted and vibed while she put her INCREDIBLE artistry on my leg. I couldn't even properly articulate how happy I was with it, it was so overwhelmingly lovely. I can't wait to see her again for tattoo number 2! The ideas are already brewing... ^_^

Everything was explained clearly and conversations and discussions were engaging and thoughtful. After care was explained thoroughly for anyone getting their first tattoo id highly recommend. The place itself is spacious, well lit, and most importantly extremely clean and sanitary. Fantastic experience: Just got my very first tattoo and i’m so glad it’s been done at Black Plague. Fantastic experience: Fancied a spontaneous tattoo and ended up at the Black Plague and I’m so glad I did! The staff were lovely and helpful. Ryan on reception was great and Ellie who did my flash was wonderful too. I’d never been to this studio before, so I was a little anxious, but Ellie put me completely at ease. She was great about re-positioning of the stencil several times and we had a lovely chat whist she worked. So pleased with the outcome and will for sure remember this place for future tattoos!

The tattoo itself is absolutely stunning! Mia was such a delight. She’s not only talented but also incredibly warm and friendly. We had a great chat, and she had me laughing throughout the session, which made the whole process even more enjoyable. The studio atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, with every member of the team being friendly and professional. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Black Plague enough. Fantastic experience: I sat with Meg today for an afternoon session. The whole place is bright and clean, everybody there is super welcoming and friendly. Meg in particular was calm and made me feel completely comfortable and safe. My concept was pretty specific and very challenging to design and tattoo, given little space and a lot of detail. Meg had to adjust some of the design on the spot, but just absolutely knocked it out of the park. Can't praise her and the whole studio enough. I got my wrist and elbow tattooed by her and she's also been super gentle with linework and shading, checking in with me as we went along.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place and Nelson is just the loveliest guy. Both myself and my wife Kelly have had paw prints of our dog that just passed and I'd recommend the studio and especially Nelson to anyone, whether you're experienced in having tats or not! Oh and if you're a Frank Turner fan, Nelson has such cool stories!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been tattooed by lots of studios, but this place is superb. There’s such a great atmosphere in this shop, and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Fantastic experience: i am so so pleased with my tattoo from athene at black plague as always! this is my second tattoo from her and i am just astonished at how beautiful they look! black plague is a lovely studio and definitely i would recommend the most. the environment is very chill and athene has a lovely quiet machine which is so helpful for me as i have sensory issues. the staff are always so good when i get a bit anxious and dizzy at the start of the process and i never feel like a burden there. genuinely cannot recommend this studio enough and i will be back!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely staff, first entry the guy working behind the desk is nice and welcoming, Gives you the right forms and instructions. I met my tattooist Dan, he is a really nice guy I felt instantly confident about him. He did an awesome job I'm very happy with the result and whilst I was getting the tattoo done all the staff were really friendly. All in all amazing place I would recommend to anyone. On the way out I was given clear and detailed instructions on aftercare. The place itself is really clean and well looked after. Very good atmosphere! Fantastic experience: I went in today for my appointment with Mia and had such a great experience. Everyone was so welcoming and positive. Mia is an amazing listener and so easy to talk to. I already can't wait to come back. Everything was incredibly clean and the shop as a whole followed a pretty strict procedure to keep areas sanitary. I will 100% be returning. Today we started off with something small to get to know each other but I will be back to see Mia for all of my large projects.

It’s a very easy process to book and their replies are fast. I’ve been tattooed by Ellie multiple times working on a sticker sleeve. She is always amazing, lovely to chat with and her artwork is phenomenal. All my tattoos from her have healed so well and look so vibrant. The skull and roses is fresh and the rest is healed work, all from Ellie.

Fantastic experience: My new favourite studio. Everyone is super friendly, the studio itself is spacious and clean and doesn’t have a pretentious vibe that other studios have. I’ve been tattooed by Ellie and Meg and had a great experience with both. Meg managed to squeeze me in on the fly while my husband was being tattooed which I greatly appreciated. Both times I was given a few different size options for the design and made sure that i was happy with everything before going forward. Thorough explanation of aftercare and to contact them with any questions or issues. Can’t wait to get more!

Fantastic experience: My tattoo was done by Nelson at Black Plague 3 weeks ago and I have got nothing but praise for him and everyone else at Black Plague. Treeman did a great job with my initial enquiry and then getting my appointment sorted with Nelson. It was my first tattoo (there will be more to follow!) and I spent a total of 3 hours in the studio - an hour of planning and stencilling and 2 of tattooing. Nelson was amazing throughout - totally "got" what I wanted and put so much care into it. Being my first one, he explained everything and went at a pace that suited me. Having said that, I really enjoyed my morning at Black Plague. I was given really clear post care advice and 3 weeks on my tattoo looks incredible. I love it. Totally recommend and I'll definitely be going back.

Fantastic experience: I have been tattooed by Jazz for many years, but only recently at Black Plague. The studio is clean, welcoming and very professional. Every member of staff was friendly and polite. Jazz did an amazing job with a rework of an old tattoo of mine. She was a perfectionist and made sure I was happy with every step of the process. I could not recommend Jazz enough; she is the only person I trust to do my tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I have been into Black Plague many times, the shop itself is incredibly welcoming and every artist I have interacted with is exceptionally friendly. I’ve been a client of Jazz’s for quite some time now (about 5-6 years), she’s a very welcoming and friendly character that works incredibly hard. Almost every tattoo I have is Jazz’s work as her style and approach to tattooing is some of the best I’ve seen. I’ve had countless interactions where people have praised the work that Jazz has done and through those interactions, they have booked appointments with her as well. I couldn’t recommend the shop and Jazz enough to anyone that is getting some ink.

Ole matey on the desk was super friendly when I came in and helpful with getting me an appointment booked, even called to remind me about it the day before. My tattoo was with Meg, and even though the placing was awkward (my throat), Meg did great to make me feel at ease, and with the friendly vibes and chatter in the place, I was reasonably comfortable (despite have a million pounds of pain blasted into my neck) Thanks guys, I'll definitely be back!!

Fantastic experience: My first time at Black Plague Tattoo, booked a last minute space with Ellie for a design from her Valentines flash. She was super lovely, had quick communication and made me feel at ease from the start. Everyone was so welcoming and kind, the whole experience was lovely from beginning to end! The tattoo itself is incredible and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, will definitely be getting more! :)

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend black plague! I’ve only been twice now but both experiences have been great. I’ve had my tattoos done by Mia and she’s incredible. Super talented artist and such a nice girl, really made me feel at ease. Same goes for the rest of the staff too! All really kind and happy to have a laugh and chat with you. Will definitely be going back on many occasions

Fantastic experience: I have had 3 tattoos done by Mia and I am over the moon with all of them! The whole team at Black Plague are so friendly and make me feel at ease when I am there. Mias designs are amazing and nothing is too much trouble! I asked Mia to draw me a design specifically to fit an awkward spot on my arm and it was perfect! Thankyou so much :)

Fantastic experience: The shop is clean and asthetic, the guys in there are so friendly. I had my first tattoo done by Meg and I am so stunned with how good she is. Her design was absolutely perfect and exactly what I asked for. The execution was even better. Couldn't recommend a shop or artist more.

Fantastic experience: Now had the two tattoos done here and honestly can’t rate it enough. Such a friendly warm atmosphere which puts you at ease immediately (ideal for first timers) .Had mine done with Athene and the care, effort and creative style she puts into each stage of the process is honestly phenomenal. Really chuffed with both of my tats and would recommend to anyone. Eager to get back for the next one when I have the time and the money haha worth every penny

Fantastic experience: Have had a few tattoos here in 2023 from different artists and every time I’ve felt welcomed by everyone there. Everyone is so friendly and easy to talk to and makes me want to go back again and again. Already have my next appointment booked!

Fantastic experience: I came here for my first tattoo and was very impressed. The booking system is easy and straight forward, also the communication from start to end was perfect. Every artist and staff member were lovely, and hospitable. I had Nelson do my tattoo and I was so happy with the result! He is very professional and such a down to earth guy, not to mention the freehand tattoo was incredible. He talked me through every step of the way, from the machine, to the different techniques on how to approach each part of the tattoo. I was very happy to have someone so passionate and artistic tattoo me. I will definitely recommend him and black plague to others & will definitely come here to be tattooed again. Thank you all! :)
