Fantastic experience: This studio is my go to for tattoos. They’re incredibly considerate with amazing work every time I’ve been. They’re staff are friendly and every precaution is taken to ensure the process and healing goes smoothly!

Fantastic experience: To say I’m happy with this experience would be an understatement. I’ve been gearing myself up for a tattoo for the last 5 years and built it up so much in my head. On the way to the studio, I was close to a full-blown panic attack, but as soon as I arrived and met Kirstie, I calmed down instantly. The environment was so relaxed, and Kirstie herself made me feel completely comfortable which, with my anxiety, isn’t always easy. As for the pain… it was nothing. A little sore during the shading, but even that was easy to handle. Honestly, I keep looking down at my arm in disbelief that I actually went through with it. I proved something to myself today. When I’m ready for my next piece, I’ll have no hesitation coming back here. I’m so thankful to Kirstie for making my first tattoo such a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Would absolutely recommend Ivy and Kirstie a million times over! I’m so happy with my tattoo, it’s perfect and exactly what I was after. Ivy did my tattoo and was so lovely and helpful. She offered two options in slightly different styles, suggested to flip the image based on which arm it was going on and just generally made me feel really comfortable and sure in the choices I was making without any pressure at all. The time flew by while we were chatting away and it just generally felt like a calm and welcoming space. The tattoo itself is just gorgeous - I can’t stop looking at it! So so happy! Can’t wait to come back for my next one :)

I had a hand poke tattoo by Ivy and it was far less painful than a machine tattoo. Her fine line work is great! Fantastic experience: This was my first tattoo, when I arrived Ivy showed me the design she had created from the ideas I sent her. The artwork was incredible. She even gave me a choice of designs. It was an easy choice for me! She hand poked my tattoo over a few hours and I enjoyed every second of it. The time absolutely flew due to the conversations we had. She not only put me at complete ease initially but checked in with me throughout the process. I skipped out of there not only thrilled with my new tattoo but as much so for the experience I had just had. Fantastic experience: TL:DR: If you want a tattoo from a kind, responsive, talented and neurodivergent-friendly artist, this place is for you. Kirstie worked on two tattoos for me yesterday and I had the best care from the first email right through to after the appointment. Email communication was clear, friendly and helpful, and I was told what to expect (even down to a video to show what the building looks like). My questions were answered quickly and effectively. There were very clear, high expectations of hygiene and COVID safety, and I could see how much careful cleaning and preparation was in place before we started. Kirstie had taken my reference images and done some extra research to draw a stunning and botanically accurate version of the flower I wanted. She interpreted my idea perfectly and the tattoo I have is even better than I expected. She was also considerate of my comfort, offering to adjust lights/music to my preference, and made me a stress ball to squeeze when it got a bit painful. Nothing felt rushed or hurried, and nothing was too much trouble. Every step was explained to me, including the most detailed after-care instructions. Thank you so much, Kirstie, for making me feel so safe and nurtured, I'm honoured to take a piece of your art with me everywhere I go!

Kirstie (one of the owners) really took the time to listen to me and my design preferences and I didn't feel like it was a burden for her at all! I did not feel rushed and we took our time for the whole process. She made sure I felt comfortable and we talked about a lot of things which made me feel at ease. When I asked to close my eyes for a bit she was very understanding and she also gave me some fidgeting items which gave me a distraction from the tattoo. When we were done I paid a very good price for such a beautiful tattoo and she made some nice, professional pictures which she send me afterwards. She explained the aftercare and I could even buy the aftercare lotion at their studio. She also mentioned that I was able to get a free touch up if needed. Fantastic experience: I was visiting Birmingham from America and was really looking forward to getting a tattoo as a souvenir ☺️ I had no idea i’d come away with such an incredible and unique experience! Ivy is amazing — so talented, kind, and lovely to talk to. I’ve never done the hand poke method and my tattoo came out amazing. Ivy made sure I was comfortable and that I was ok with the pain level (way less than the machine). I can’t suggest KTREW enough. If you’re in birmingham and want a tattoo, this is the place to go to. I have recently been to have an especially meaningful one done and could not have felt better taken care of. I’ve also never been so comfortable while getting tattooed- the studio is so welcoming and everyone there is super kind. Fantastic experience: I had my first tattoo with Kirstie and I am so happy with it! The studio was clean, professional and it had a relaxing vibe which made me feel at ease. Kirstie explained every step and answered all my questions which made me alot less nervous! The design was stunning and Kirstie advised me on the placement of the tattoo and helped me decide on the perfect size. As it was my first tattoo Kirstie kept checking I was okay and was incredibly lovely throughout! I love my tattoo and I would highly recommend KTREW tattoo studio!
