Everyone there is friendly and makes you feel comfortable, even if you’re a little nervous. Klaire really took the time to listen to what I wanted and turned my idea into something way better than I imagined. The whole process was smooth, clean, and professional—I felt totally at ease the entire time and the fact they explain every single step to you so you can tell they really care about their work and their clients. Fantastic experience: Went for a tattoo on my finger today. It was done by Charlie. Wow, wonderful staff, all pleasant and polite. Charlie did a fantastic job on my tattoo. First time coming to this place. It won’t be my last. Will be booking for another one in a couple of weeks. My hubby also had 2 tattoos today done by Jacob, he’s over the moon with them. 5 stars from us for Birmingham ink tattoo. Highly recommended. Fantastic experience: My Wife and I went here to get our first tattoo. We were nervous at first, but everyone is so kind and reassuring that we quickly relaxed. Whole process was like this and we both felt lucky that we had chosen this place for our first tattoo. I cant recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: I visited the shop for ear piercings and had such a pleasant experience. Both Oli and Lara were so kind and welcoming. Lara explained the whole process and really made me feel involved, I didn’t feel any pressure at all and she was really empowering and offered to redo the placements of the dots which wasn’t needed. They really made me feel at ease and they also have a private room where they did my piercing which is really appreciated as a somone who wears hijab. Definitely would go back again

Fantastic experience: Staff are so professional and kind both in-person and over the phone! Came for a walk-in appointment for a navel piercing and a tooth gem. Lara was so kind and gentle, making sure I was 100% happy with placement and assessing my anatomy before piercing me. Oli was also lovely, so so pleased with my tooth gem and only took around half an hour in total for both! Very accomodating, everything is at your own pace and if you're not 100% sure on something, they all have the experience to explain things to you, with a lot of patience. 1000% recommend and will be returning in the future, thank you!!

Fantastic experience: was in and out in 10 minutes, the ladies were so lovely and made me feel so welcome and the lady who pierced me redone the dot a few times to make sure it matched to my other piercing and it made me feel very comfortable and secure that she cares about the appearance and how it is going to make me feel. Fantastic experience: I visited Birmingham Ink for my nose piercing on the recommendation of a friend. All the staff were immediately friendly upon popping in. When enquiring about getting my nose pierced, the specialist was super informative, asked appropriate questions to offer the tailored bespoke advice for what I wanted. I’ll be honest, I was nervous however she was reassuring and walked me through the process! Swift, clean and easy. Aftercare was explained thoroughly and it was reasonably priced! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I came here to get my bridge piercing and I was provided with the best service I could ask for! I was really nervous coming in but all the staff were so kind, friendly and they all really make you feel at ease, and are also very patient. The girl who pierced me talked me through everything perfectly. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I will definitely be coming back here in the future ^_^

Fantastic experience: Got one of my ears re-pierced, the staff were lovely and kind, and the lady doing my piercing explained every step along the way and what to do for after care also. The piercing was done in a private room in the back which was perfect for me as I wear the hijab. I do recommend and I’m sure I’ll be coming back. Additional edit: I returned to get my seconds and thirds done on my lobes, and the staff were as lovely as ever :)

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Birmingham Ink a few times now and I will definitely be returning! My first experience was with Jacob for a flash tattoo which turned out amazing! All the aftercare was explained perfectly and my tattoo has now healed so nice! I went back a few weeks later for a piercing after speaking to the guys about it when I was getting my tattoo done. I had a medusa piercing done by Lara who was incredible. I’ve been to other studios to have piercings and have never felt as comfortable as I did with Lara. I was nervous as I heard the Medusa hurts but she talked me through the whole thing and settled my nerves. Thank you to everyone at the studio for being so nice and welcoming ☺️

Negative experience: i came to birmingham ink for 4 piercings on 2 visits and unfortunately have not been happy with the services i have received here- i have had problems with 3 of the 4 piercings i have had done here. i had irritation bumps on both nostril piercings very soon after getting them due to improper jewellery used. i was advised by a UKAPP certified piercer that corkscrews are not suitable for fresh nostril piercings as there is not enough room for swelling, and she suggested to swap from the corkscrews i was pierced with at b’ham ink to flat back labrets and the irritation bumps went down over the course of about 48 hours which suggested that it was indeed a problem with the jewellery rather than my aftercare routine. however unfortunately one of the bumps had caused my left nostril piercing to move and it was now no longer symmetrical to the other side nor perpendicular to my tissue and i was advised to take it out and let it heal over. i suspected that my tragus was not pierced perpendicular to my tissue after my 2nd visit and my suspicions were confirmed by another UKAPP piercer that it was wonky and this would likely cause pressure bumps and take significantly longer to heal. i was also told that the jewellery used for my tragus and helix piercings (14g externally threaded) is not good quality jewellery for a new piercing as external threading causes irritation for the piercing site and 14g was far too thick considering the size of my tragus. after getting my tragus pierced, the left side of my face was achy and sore for several days and it hurt to move- i was advised that this was because the tragus had been pierced too deep and also likely due to the jewellery being too thick. i was also not completely satisfied with the level of customer service. i called up to ask for a refund for my tragus piercing and provided pictures of it over email. while the staff member over the phone was very friendly and sympathetic, he also told me that they don’t offer refunds and my options were to get it re-pierced with them for free or get a different type of piercing with the same jewellery. i was a bit annoyed that i was denied a refund for a service they had done incorrectly simply because of policy, and i think it is understandable for me to not want to come back for any more piercings with them considering the issues i’ve had. overall, despite how friendly and welcoming all the piercing staff are at birmingham ink, unfortunately due to the actual standard of piercings and the quality of the jewellery used for piercings i would not be comfortable coming back here for any more piercing services.

Fantastic experience: Birmingham Ink Tattoo is truly a hidden gem. I came to get a second opinion on my daith that was initially done at Dollyrockers as i suspected it had been done horribly wrong and they were incredibly rude when I went back for help which made me nervous going elsewhere however, I found Birmingham Ink Tattoo and spoke to Jacob who was so so welcoming and immediately gave me tips. After that interaction I decided if I was going to go anywhere to get it repierced I would only go there given how helpful they were without hesitating. I then met Lara (@laralunardesign) who removed my piercing and was so gentle. She was so kind, listened to every concern and answered any questions I had. Although my previous experience at Dollyrockers had me wary and hesitant, I put all my trust in Lara who put me completely at ease. She even set aside a gold hoop as that was my preference for when I would return to get it repierced. She showed me the difference between my first hoop from Dollyrockers and the hoop she would use to pierce and the quality was immediately noticeable (particularly with thickness). She reassured me that the technique and high quality items used by her would promote proper healing. Not long after letting the initial piercing close up, I came back to get my daith pierced by Lara. As someone with contamination ocd, the hygiene was faultless with a separate room for piercings and single use equipment. I have a really low pain tolerance but Lara made sure to talk me through every single step, she was beyond careful and so empathetic. She listened to everything I was saying even whilst piercing and was so aware if I needed anything. I let her mark it where she thought it was ok and I couldn’t be happier. I instantly felt the difference in pain from when I initially had the piercing at Dollyrockers in comparison to here where it was done professionally and correctly. It was SO quick and over before I knew it. I couldn’t believe it. She was so reassuring afterwards and made sure I was fully comfortable before I went, giving me some squash and putting the fan on. She also took her time with going through aftercare. There wasn’t a single time throughout this process where she rushed anything. Lara is such an asset to Birmingham Ink Tattoo and has made me feel brave enough to get multiple piercings. I am forever grateful that she turned my fear and a bad experience into a positive one. I don’t think I can trust anyone else piercing my ears after this. They are such a wonderful team that deserve so much more recognition and I’m so glad I found them. Throughout every step of the process they were so helpful and had the most positive energy. I shall DEFINITELY be returning for more piercings and will be recommending them to everyone I know.

Fantastic experience: Came in for lower back dermals and all I can say is if I wasn’t already covered in piercings I would go there all the time. It was my first time being there and every single member of staff was so lovely and funny, never had a nicer welcome anywhere as much as Birmingham Ink. I can’t remember the lady’s name who did my dermals but she made me feel so relaxed. She said she has been doing dermals for over 15 years which made me feel in safe hands. Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a faux rook pierced at a different studio and the jewellery had fallen out on the saturday night. My previous studio was closed on sunday so I popped into Birmingham ink on sunday morning to see if it could be saved. This was my first ever visit to the studio and I am thoroughly impressed! I was seen to immediately and was treated very kindly throughout the whole time I was there. I was given all the information about what the plan was; my piercing was opened back open with a new, longer bar put in; and then I was given brilliant aftercare instructions. Since then, my piercing has been A LOT happier. Definitely will be returning for future piercings! Much thanks to Jacob for saving my piercing!

Negative experience: These are not tattoo artist these are scam artist. I wanted to get my first tattoo and when in to the shop where someone came out and asked me what I would like I told them I would like a Tattoo of Jesus on my arm. And was told that it would take about 3 hours for it to be completed they said it would be better for me to book in for 2 hours times slots. Which I did first 2 hours completed paid nearly £200. At the end was told that it would be completed in the next session. So I was booked in again and we’re now at 4 hours and it’s still not half complete I then asked how long more it would take to complete and would not tell me however when i first went in they said it would be about 3 hours so when I said that back to them, they then told me to go to somewhere else I was left with a not Half finished tattoo and out £400. I went to get another tattoo artist opinion and they said it should’ve taken maximum of 3 hours to complete and would have cost £280. All they wanted was more and more money every time and did not care about the end result so now I have instructed my Solicitors to take them to a small claims court. I am writing this review in hope that no one else gets scammed like me

I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about getting their first tattoo done, all the staff were welcoming and attentive and made sure I was relaxed throughout the whole process, which was really comforting as I was on my own the whole day. They offer you sweets and chocolate to keep your blood pressure up, and also allow you to have breaks when needed. My tattoo came out exactly how I wanted it. Can’t wait to get to my next one!

Fantastic experience: Went to get my rook and tragus done by them a week ago and honestly seem to be the least problematic piercings I've ever had. They've been healing so well. The people I've gone to while there were also very nice and patient.

Fantastic experience: Got a small semi colon butterfly tattoo by Jacob last week. It turned out so good. Jacob is super friendly and kind trust me. I was excited and nervous and he was so supportive and patient throughout. He was talking and making sure I was comfortable. Constantly he was affirming with words like “you’re doing so good”, “well done” while he was tattooing. That was so comforting. Great experience, I am definitely going there next time and you should too!

Fantastic experience: Had a daith piercing from Jacob, he was so lovely and professional, explaining everything and also very calming and puts you at ease. The shop is amazing, love the webbed steelwork Frame on the windows, and the shop is very clean. Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo done by Jacob on Saturday and it was by far my favourite tattoo experience to date. The shop was very clean and organised, and despite being a little on the snug side it felt cosy and comfortable. I didn’t feel crowded or nervous. The atmosphere was really nice- a little bit of music but not overwhelming, and all the artists were clearly friends and very happy to be at work. Jacob was absolutely wonderful. He was so gentle and thoughtful and kept me in the loop the whole time. The tattoo looks incredible and he was very happy to do extra bits for me. The second skin originally wouldn’t stick to me very well so he sorted me a new one without me even asking for it. He was wonderful! I am 10000% going to go back.

I messaged the studio on Instagram and was met with the most reassuring and helpful answers, so I decided to do it. The team is friendly and seems really fun. Fantastic experience: After reading the good reviews on here, Went there today for a tattoo on my lower arm, I can't remember her name sorry,but she was amazing at her job and i hardly felt anything, The staff there was amazing and very welcoming, place itself was very clean, nothing rushed either too, Definitely will comeback when I can think of my next one to have, Would recommend this place to anyone,

From initial design based on my thoughts to the finished ink the whole experience was professional and put me at ease with every step along the way!

Fantastic experience: I got my septum pierced here and the artist was really lovely and reassuring. He took his time to get it right and shows a lot of patience and empathy for others. The piercing itself looks great and the jewellery provided is pretty. Pretty aesthetic of the store too

Fantastic experience: I went in today as a walk in for a lip peircing. The guy looking after me and doing my peircing was fantastic. Really friendly, informative and calming. He took time explaining the process and aftercare and didnt rush me even though the shop was obvioussly busy. The place was welcoming and clean with just an all round good vibe. Would deffinatly recomend , thank you for the fantastic service!

Fantastic experience: I had a nose piercing done! Was looking for some place that was top rated… travelled from leicester and it was well worth it. The girl that did my nose was fantastic and I was very dramatic to start with but I wasn’t bad as I expected at all… nose piercing at 40+ why I didn’t have it sooner!! Would recommend this place to the highest level… I will be back for sure thank you

Negative experience: The tattoo itself is great but the customer service was poor. We had booked for 2pm, when we got into the shop at exactly 2pm we were told that our artist was finishing up and wouldn’t be long. At 2:45pm we were told that she wouldn’t be long she was just printing the designs out, but then at 2:55pm they asked for a confirmation on one of the designs. At around 3:10pm we were finally showed the designs, chose the size etc and at around 3:20pm I finally sat down to get my tattoo. When I asked about the wait and that we had booked for 2pm, there was no apology, no thank you for waiting, it was just shrugged off and we were told that it happens. I explained that if we were told initially it would’ve been a long wait, we would have been more than happy to go and then come back but the person I spoke to didn’t seem to care. Very disappointing, wouldn’t recommend if you have other plans for the day. Especially disappointing as we each paid a £30 deposit when we first booked over the phone, and then paid the remaining payment and for tattoo skin before even getting the tattoo.

Fantastic experience: i came to birmingham for a concert and decided to get my nose re-pierced- everyone was so lovely and made me feel so at ease. They were very professional and told me lots of things about aftercare dos nd donts! i had a bad experience w nose piercing previously and as soon after i could already feel a diffrence in the pain and placement they were brillaint! very much recommend. also while i was there i saw someone’s tattoo they got and it looked brilliant, could not recommend enough must go! if i lived in Birmingham it would be my no.1 place to go

Fantastic experience: From when I first called to shop to make enquires I was made to feel so comfortable. Staff were soo friendly and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Lara did an amazing job with my nose piercing, so kind and friendly too. Had compliments on my nose piercing being lined up perfectly with the piercing on the other side of my nose, also gave me incredible professional advice about changing my other nose piercing. Charlie did an amazing job on my first ever tattoo, she made me feel so relaxed and was so kind and friendly too. Can’t wait to come back for more tattoos and piercings!!

Fantastic experience: I had my nose pierced here today, I’d read the great reviews, and just turned up without an appointment. I had a choice of stud’s, and Jacob was friendly, professional & put me at ease. The room was comfortable & very clean. I was pleased from beginning to end & I’m really happy with my piercing. I would 100% recommend.

His artistry was brilliant and I felt super confident throughout the design process. The studios is really lush, clean and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was managed by Jacob for my first two tattoos. He walked me through the process in a very patient and friendly manner. He held conversation helping to distract me & making feel so much more at ease during the process. The overall experience was extremely pleasant, hygienic, and great vibes. Fantastic experience: Amazing service and amazing work. I had a tattoo done a few months back that healed horribly with white scaring and patchy blackout. Went in for a touch up and now it looks just how i wanted it too originally. Incredibly friendly staff, good prices, walked me through the second skin aftercare as i hadn't used it before, all in all a good, clean experience and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I got my first ear piercing done around 1 month ago from here. The staff were really friendly and welcomed me with bright smiles, reassured me each step of the way and did the service in a very respectable time frame. The piercing area, though small, was very hygienic and well put together. I have had no complications with the piercing at all, never did face any pain after the procedure was done and it's almost healed now. Suffice to say, I'm a very happy customer
