Fantastic experience: Was tattooed today by Chloe. Cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing atmosphere, all staff are so friendly and welcoming. And 100% you are made to feel comfortable by all compared to tattoo shops that I’ve been to in the past. So happy with my tattoos today.

Fantastic experience: Kat is a very experienced piercer who I highly recommend. Firstly she successfully re-pierced my daughter’s ear when it was not healing due to another piercers error and secondly she has re-pierced my first holes after they grew over. She takes time to get things right & always values your opinion. Thanks Kat!

Fantastic experience: I can’t rate Kat highly enough, she has pierced my nose and ears multiple times. She is extremely knowledgeable, medically and aesthetically, helping me decide which piercing to have, offering advice and placement based on the anatomy of my ears. I trust her implicitly and it’s always a pleasure seeing her, I always leave with a smile on my face!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had multiple piercings from Kat over the years, as well as a tattoo by a former studio artist. I’ll most definitely be going back for more. Kat has decades of knowledge, and is very professional. The studio is really nice, comfortable and immaculate too.

Negative experience: I had my rook pierced here by Kat quite a while ago. I had a very pleasant experience getting it initially pierced, Kat is friendly, her studio is very clean and the piercing was over with quickly. However, I did run into problems with my rook and was in contact with Kat quite a lot over emails and visited the studio a further 2 times. I left my piercing experience in the past and have since been pierced elsewhere, but after receiving a Christmas promotion email from Katwalk Ink, I decided to check out the reviews to see if anyone had a similar experience to me. I am disappointed to see there are a few people that have not been happy with their experience and the health advice given by Kat, and I am disappointed to see Kat has not taken this feedback onboard and has replied defensively. After I got my rook pierced, I developed two irritation bumps either side of the piercing. I communicated this through email and was told to make a salt soak with a pinch of sea salt and a pint of boiling water. It did not improve so I went to the studio and was advised to apply hydrogen peroxide twice a day for 5 days. I was shocked when I was told this as that just sounds like hell for a fresh and healing wound. This did nothing but irritate the area further. Eventually the bumps got worse and developed into two massive irritation bumps, 3x the size of the piercing ball, that would constantly throb, cause my whole ear to ache, they would leak a lot of lymphatic fluid (it was not pus or an infection) and the crust would be crazy. The bumps were so big you could not see any of the piercing bar and I even had to take time off work for the pain at one point. I sent pics over to Kat and she told me to come to the studio. She said “the bump is a keloid, which is caused by trauma, and it could do with draining”. I am not a piercing professional, but even I know these are not keloids as keloids are scar tissue. She drained the bumps and I guess cut off any left over skin from the bumps and told me to apply 3% hydrogen peroxide as soon as I get home and continue to do so. This again did not solve the problem. In my head I was thinking this can’t be right, but I followed the advice. They got so painful and big to the point I did actually pop them once I was that desperate for relief and it bled awfully, but I just needed relief. I eventually gave up and ended up going to a studio I was recommended by someone else and they took the jewellery out. They told me the rook was pieced too far back for a start and I should have never ever been told to apply hydrogen peroxide or have the irritation bumps mutilated. I know Kat will take offence to this and say she is the professional here, but I don’t believe her advice was correct at the time and has caused me so much pain, wasted my time and cost me additional money buying remedies and paying to get it removed. I am not a professional piercer but I cannot find any piercer or pierced people who think hydrogen peroxide should be used, they say it is outdated advice. I do feel guilty a bit writing this review, but Kat needs to take accountability and not belittle customers who put their trust in her. Reply to Kat’s response: You have proved my point. Still no explanation as to why you are referring to irritation bumps as keloids and why you thought it was acceptable to tell me to put hydrogen peroxide on an already irritated piercing. You are saying other piercers are wrong and they are only saying that because they are your “competition”. The person I went to has more reviews than you and has an average 5* rating and plenty of others have high ratings too, so they are all wrong and only you have the knowledge? Just because you are good at your job does not mean you never get it wrong. It would be fine if you apologised and took accountability, but instead I’ve seen you belittle a customer as they were a teenager and assumed they get all their info off TikTok. That did not sit right with me. You take people’s money, give them incorrect advice and then shame them. Absolutely not on my watch.

Fantastic experience: Kat was amazing. Very friendly, provided lot's of information about the piercing and had all the time in the world for us. Been here a few times now for piercings and won't go anywhere else.

Positive experience: Kat is excellent as a piercer; quick, precise and gentle. One of the best! I have gotten multiple piercings here. However, as reason for the mediocre ratings, I find that the health advice given here is not adequate. If there is an issue with piercings it is usually blamed as a keloid (a keloid is permanent scar that needs to be surgically removed). I do find it concerning if a piercer is unable to tell the difference between this and infections or hypertrophic bumps. For this reason I have chosen to go elsewhere for medical advice. Some jewellery given can also not be suitable. I got my nose pierced with an L bar which is usually terrible for healing and causes irritation. I was told it was the fault of knocking it, (supposedly flatbacks are dangerous) I never have. I simply have to keep moving the bar back in place as it twirls in my nose. This later caused a puss filled infection ( Edit : of which I sent pictures ) so I shall change it elsewhere. I didn't go back as I was in tears and made to feel uncomfortable about knowing that I had an infection and needed a different jewellery (I have severe anxiety and autism). I wish the piercer would take criticism a little less personally. It's a shame as I think she is one of the best piercers. The prices are very modest.

Negative experience: I got my belly button pierced here 6 month ago and it seemed to be getting worse instead of healing. So I went to show another piercer and she told me I had to take it out asap because of the shape of my belly button I should have been giving a floating belly button piercing and I got given one with a bar. So everytime I sat down it was being pushed and eventually would have been pushed out my skin. I would assume the piercer would look out for something like this beforehand.

Fantastic experience: I visited the studio on Saturday to have a tattoo (prayer hands). I was slightly nervous as this was my second ever tattoo and quite a while since I’d had my first done. The team were extremely welcoming and Marcus made me feel at ease whilst doing my piece. Most importantly, I am absolutely buzzing with the outcome. I cannot recommend these guys enough! Fantastic experience: I have just had a beautiful tattoo done on my forearm by Elle. The staff at Katwalk ink were very friendly and polite and made me feel welcome. Elle was lovely and I felt very relaxed and comfortable while having my tattoo done, it only took 45 minutes and I absolutely love the finished piece. Positive experience: I got both my nostrils done by Kat. Great service and really professional. Will be a return customer. Edit: My left nostril became irritated because I knocked it (it wasn't a flat back stud) or something so I let Katwalk Ink know because I thought it would be good to get it changed. I sent a message explaining and asking if I could get it changed. Kat told me that she never not pierces without flat back stud and that it shouldn't be changed. I went to Vivid Ink Birmingham instead because Katwalk Ink hadn't offered to see me or anything. They changed it for me and told me the jewelry wasn't a flat back stud - it was an L bar. They put a flat back stud in and the irritation went down. Just felt like Katwalk Ink should have shown a bit more care post-piercing, which is a shame because the actual piercing was great. Felt like they didn't really care that I was expressing the need to get it looked at.

Fantastic experience: I was nervous to get my daith ear piercing, but Kat was incredibly reassuring and did it so efficiently, I would highly recommend. My piercing looks amazing, and I also received useful aftercare tips.

Fantastic experience: Have had piercings of the: earlobe, nostril, eyebrow, bridge, labret and anti-eyebrow done here. Not sure if there is more than one piercer, but I’ve always had the woman here (never managed to catch the name!) - who has always perfectly placed my piercings, provided a stress free experience with no faff or hiccups, and managed to reduce my horrifically bad phobia of needles to the point where I am no longer stressed prior or during a piercing. Never had rejected jewellery or an issue similar in nature, and any issues in the healing have been entirely due to my own neglect or lack of attention. Cannot recommend this place enough, even if it’s a bit pricier than Claire’s or the oasis, it is absolutely worth it

Kat is the most knowledgeable and trustworthy piercer I’ve ever had, there’s no one else I trust to do my piercings to be honest. And the prices are excellent. The studio is lovely inside, and there’s ample parking at the back.

His art work is amazing, his attention to detail is outstanding and he is just such an all round fantastic guy. Fantastic experience: My daughter and I decided, on the spur of the moment, to get tattoos together. We had a basic idea of yin and yang. Kat booked us in for a few days later and helped us solidify our idea and handed us on to the lovely Elle. Today we had these done and Elle was amazing. She was friendly yet professional throughout and the tattoos turned out better than we could ever have wished for, so much so that I booked in for another one, again with Elle, for the following week. Fantastic experience: I’m local to the area and only recently discovered Katwalk Ink - I wish I had known about this place earlier. I took my daughters to get their ears pierced recently. One of them was really nervous but Kat was fantastic with her and calmed her nerves. My eldest daughter also had her navel pierced and they all look perfect. I’ve also been having work done on a tattoo with Dean. It’s a full sleeve tattoo so it’s work in progress but the results so far are incredible! The whole team at Katwalk Ink are warm, welcoming and friendly. The venue is always spotlessly clean and the decor is calming. I’ll never go anywhere else now I’ve found this absolute gem of a place! Will see you again next week, guys!

From the beginning, I received the most excellent service from getting the tattoo booked in to the day of my tattoo. My tattoo artist Dean, was absolutely lovely and made me feel very relaxed throughout the whole process. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation whilst getting my tattoo done and it definitely took my mind away from what was being done. After one of the best services I think I have ever received, he then knocked £10 off the original price!! I would highly recommend to anyone!! Thank you ever so much again :)

Fantastic experience: Had two sessions of a three hour tattoo with Deano, absolutely thrilled so far with his work. Extremely hygienic to the point I suspected he has OCD always a good thing. Went overtime at no extra cost so that he could get the work just right. Perfect traditional Mom & Dad memorial. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had my first ever tattoo at katwalk ink today with Zoe. She made me feel reassured and comforted from the moment I booked my appointment. She made me feel at ease through out and I love my tattoo. I will definitely be back for more!

Fantastic experience: Only wish my daughter had her seconds piecered here rather than the unprofessional place she went to before. Thankfully with Kat"s professional advice she was able to re do my daughters seconds and offer her good advice on how to treat her ears that were infected due to how the first place had done them. Kat certainly knows her profession well and I would totally trust her from now on with anymore piercing my daughter will have.

Fantastic experience: Had one of the free tattoo from the apprentice Zoe as part of her way of gaining clients and experience and was super happy with the results. Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. Have been here before for Tattoos and piercings but today I had a tattoo from Zoe, their apprentice and she definitely knows her stuff. She went through everything and was so professional. Also had my Septum pierced by Kat, who is just lovely, always puts you at ease.

Fantastic experience: had my septum pierced by kat and she made sure i was okay throughout as i felt faint. she looked after me & never made me feel uncomfortable. very clean, hygienic & comfortable environment. i didn’t catch her name but the girl with the braces and blonde hair i think? behind reception was absolutely lovely she’s a real gem to the business. so nice she made me feel like she was my friend - so reassuring and professional <3 thank you
