New Tribe Tattoo + Piercing

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience back in February at New Tribe getting a black and grey flash by Addy. I had originally came across her design on Instagram and after looking at the post hundreds of times decided to reach out over Instagram. My last tattoo had been over 20 years ago and Addy was great in answering all my questions before, during and after getting tattooed. During she periodically checked in to see how I was doing, explained what was going on and where we were at in the process. It was a fantastic experience and I have plans for a few more tattoos that I will be going back for. The shop is cool looking and everyone was super welcoming, even when I called them because I couldn’t get in and realizing mid call that I was the first appointment that day and they hadn’t opened up yet. Again looking forward to going back for some more in the near future.

Tattoo and piercing shops can feel intimidating, but Fae and the entire New Tribe staff were incredibly welcoming and kind. They created such a comfortable environment and never gave off that judgmental vibe that some other places can have (and where my last place discouraged me from getting piercings). Thank you

Fantastic experience: Popped into the shop on a Saturday afternoon to get a piercing. Everyone was so welcoming and nice as soon as I stepped into the shop. They told me it would be a 45min wait, but it ended up only being 10min. Fae was so lovely, before doing the piercing I was there to get, they took a look at another piercing of mine that I wasn't sure was healing properly. Fae gave me the run down on the healing/cleaning process and even offered to change the hardware for me when I was ready. 10 out of 10 would definitely go back to Fae for another piercing.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience today With Fae. I went in to get a PA done and had a great conversation with Fae while she did her work. Everything was quick seamless without feeling rushed with each question answered and as fae continued to chat all the information i needed was included so mostly i didnt even need to ask questions The online booking was easy peasy and all pre appointment stuff was stress free. I did have to change my date with no penalty as it was well in advance. The actual piercing was an ouch not a aaaggghhhh. Fae was quick and fluid not jerky and rough as I was appreciative of especially given the location. Great vibe to the shop and very clean. Proper clean aseptic technique used

Fantastic experience: Walked in earlier today for a small tattoo and ended up having a great experience from start to finish. Mark is a true artist. Not just skilled, but also really easy to talk to, which made the whole process relaxed and enjoyable. I honestly didn’t even notice how quickly the tattoo was done. The studio was clean, the staff were welcoming, and the overall vibe was just really positive. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I’ve received nothing but great, professional service from New Tribe. Between 2021 and 2025, I’ve gotten multiple piercings from both Fae and Stacy, and each experience has been excellent. They’re knowledgeable, welcoming, and always provide clear aftercare instructions. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: February 7 2026- Well as I have just completed my 4th visit with Fae for another incredible piercing, it would be safe to say this is the place to go! Everyone is so incredibly welcoming, informative and genuine! Had an appointment close to the shop's closing time and had to call to say we weren't going to make it in time due to the TTC doing what it does best, not running. Fantastic experience: Couldn't recommend New Tribe enough! It carries it's old Toronto heritage roots from 1994 & displays them proudly on modern day Queen Street. Returning for my 3rd piercing, went at a perfect time, mid evening Wednesday night. Was greeted by Myles at the front desk, super friendly, easy going & knowledgeable. Filled out the waver & was immediately seen by artist Stacy, who did an awesome job, very knowledgeable, very technically skilled at her craft. Explained all the aftercare, what products would work best for healing timeframes, & genuinely couldn't have been nicer! It was such a welcoming environment, with that old school Toronto feeling you'd expect from a shop that's been in business & at the same location all these years later. Once everything was finished, the entire transaction & time there genuinely made you want to come back the following week. Being someone who lives in the west end, I would've commuted even further if it meant being able to keep coming back to get these pieces of art done in one of the last bastions of the city I grew up in 30+ years ago. I hope New Tribe stays for as long as it can, I couldn't recommend it to the "new skin" enough!

Negative experience: It's been a nightmare trying to get these earrings out. Maybe don't screw them on so tight that it's IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE. Don't pearce your ears here.

Negative experience: amazing service, terrible jewellery quality. long labret bars especially for dimples/cheeks do NOT last. went through 2 pairs of 20mm labret bars from here just for the flat back screw to loosen up and no long screw in securely anymore. i even swallowed one. $60+ per pair? i'd have to pass.

Fantastic experience: As an old punk dyke who hadn't had a new piercing in 40+ years, I was a little nervous about getting my first helix piercing during a trip to Toronto in late December 2025. Nothing fancy, just a simple one, but Fae set me at ease immediately and did a great job. The piercing is healing very well, aftercare instructions were clear and helpful. It looks great! Negative experience: I've been getting pierced here since I was 18 and bringing my 15 year old here decades later was such a special moment. Unfortunately, after her piercing my daughter's ear was mildly infected and I was unable to remove the flat back stud. We were told we would be charged to come in to remove it? Be aware of this and factor in the additional charge because there is absolutely no way to remove them yourself without tears and blood. I was so disappointed that even after calling and explaining the situation to them they told us that these piercings are inserted tightly with an instrument which they know is near impossible to remove... Why didn't they tell me upfront about this so I could have been prepared? A friend and her daughter that I referred here had to go to the doctor's office to have theirs removed. I am sad to have to change my review after an initial pleasant experience... The after care just isn't there once they get your 100 bucks, sayonara! As an aside we are extremely displeased with the placement of the piercing it is far far too close to the first lobe hole you can barely see the gap between piercings when earrings are in. Yes they mark your ear for approval before piercing, but as non-experts it's impossible to determine proper placement with no earring in. Overall bad experience and sad to say we won't be returning... And my daughter's ears are ruined for life.

Fantastic experience: We took my daughter today to get her first ear lobe piercings done. From start to finish, all the staff were amazing and welcoming. I used to frequent New Tribe back in the day and they’re just as awesome now as they were then. The staff made my daughter feel at ease especially it being her first time at studio like this. Fae was beyond wonderful. I really appreciated how they explained everything to my daughter and not just myself. My daughter felt super comfortable with them and made this experience a memorable one. Thank you Fae and the New Tribe staff for a great visit. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I got my first piercing from New Tribe many, many years ago, and even then they already had a reputation for being top professionals. Today, Stacy was no exception. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and made me laugh. She put me at ease and answered all my questions. She showed the care and talent of someone who's been doing this a long time: 20 years, she told me. And it shows. This was my 6th piercing: I'm glad I went back. And as long as I'm local, New Tribe is the place I'll go.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience with Fae I got my nose pierced (my first piercing after a very long time) and they made me feel so at ease(they’re super kind!). The process was quick, painless, and Fae was super informative both, before and after the process. The placement they picked is perfect too. It’s been almost 3 months since I’ve had my piercing and it’s healing so nicely! The tips that Fae gave me for piercing aftercare were super helpful, and I haven’t experienced any issues with bumps or pain. Fantastic experience: CAN’T WAIT TO COME BACK I had such a fantastic tattoo experience with Mark. I was a walk in with a vague idea of what I wanted! I showed him the picture, described what I wanted. He was expeditious, clean, so friendly, and he is such an expert - it really shows how comfortable and able he is to execute things exactly the way you want. I was in fantastic hands. As somebody who’s gone to quite a few tattoo parlours, I truly felt the most comfortable here. I absolutely recommend!!! They also email you 10 days after to check in and see how you’re doing and everything, man, I’d give 100/5 stars if I could.

Positive experience: I had a great experience here!! I walked in with two small custom designs drawn, I asked for a quote and they said an artist was available that day. Each tattoo took about 10 minutes. The process was quick, sanitary and everyone was very kind and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Kaay put back my lip piercing that I had taken out the day before and wouldn't go back in. She was super nice and professional. Overall the staff gave off good vibes and the services are reasonably priced. I would definitely come back if I ever want to get new piercings.

Negative experience: Horrible experience. I had a bad feeling from the start. Stacy came with the tool she used from another room so i had no idea if it was sterile or not. She was not that clean herself. As a result, i waited forever to heal and it never did. It got infected instead. I have no pierce at the moment due to the great services you offer.

Fantastic experience: While visiting in Toronto, I knew I wanted to get a tattoo. New Tribe came highly recommended from Reddit as a reputable studio with talented artists, and walk-in availability. I bought a flash tattoo and booked with the lovely Danika. Danika was lovely, funny and very talented. I couldn't be happier with the tattoo itself and I had a really good experience with all the artists I spoke to at New Tribe.

Fantastic experience: I came here after I got a bad reaction from another store, as it was placed on too tight. It had been constantly draining due to irritation, creating huge crusties, and I think showing initial signs of embedding. I was really worried and had messaged this store online, and they were able to see me right away. Fae was my piercer and they were absolutely amazing! First off they really listened to the issue, then gave a detailed explanation on what we could do and the process. Fae gave me a custom length titanium piercing which almost immediately solved my issue - I noticed it was feeling much better the very next day. They were really patient and knowledgeable in all their explanations, including aftercare and what I should expect in the upcoming months in terms of healing. Thanks so much, I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a piercing, especially if they were a newbie like me!

From start to finish, my experience was smooth, professional, and surprisingly comfortable. Kaay took the time to explain the entire process, answer all of my questions, and made sure I felt completely at ease before beginning. The microdermal itself was done with precision and care — super clean, quick, and almost painless thanks to the expert technique. The aftercare instructions were thorough and easy to follow, and the studio was spotless and clearly followed strict hygiene protocols. I also had an older nose jewelry piece changed out, and the difference is incredible. The new jewelry is stunning, fits perfectly, and was changed out without any discomfort. Kaay was so gentle and clearly experienced with dermals — it was over before I even realized it started. If you're considering a microdermal or need a jewelry change, I can't recommend this place enough. Great vibes, knowledgeable staff, and beautiful results.

Fantastic experience: I had an issue with one of my piercing. I contacted the owner and within 5 minutes my issue was solved. I spoke with a lady at the front who either had a British/Australian accent(was amazing), manager who provided me quick solution amazing and KAAY who inserted my piercing amazing. I’ve been a client at New tribe for 30 years and am in dhealthcare and I trust them completely. Their sterility procedures and infection control are better than most family doctors’ offices.

Fantastic experience: I just got my Navel done today and I couldn't be happier! Fae did my peircing and they were so sweet and open to answering my questions and going over the aftercare with me. Im someone who is mortified of needles no matter how many peircings I've gotten, and they were so patient and understanding, and the pericing really didnt even hurt. Will be coming back!

Fantastic experience: When your daughter is first born you don't always dream of that day that you're going to take her to a piercing and tattoo shop. But blink a few times and there we were. I must say, everyone here made the experience very easy for daughter and dad. The atmosphere was bright and lively and the staff was super nice and welcoming. My daughter was nervous to get her nose pierced but Kaay recognized that and took the time to let her know what to expect and reassure her that it would be fine. Fantastic experience: Got a under-eye dermal stud done by kaay here, as a walk in, and I really love it :) relatively painless, and the piercer was very up front about it being a long term-temporary piercing. She talked through the whole process as she did it, always making sure to tell me what was coming (cleaning, pinching, piercing, bleeding, etc). Great, friendly atmosphere, more than worth the money. Don't hesitate if you're in the mood for another spontaneous hole in the head ;)

Fantastic experience: Kaay at new tribe was amazing.i came in today for my first piercing ever and got both my nipple pierced. Kaay was great, kept me at ease, and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. I'm loving my new nipple piercings.

Fantastic experience: My daughter got her ears pierced today by Fae and had an amazing experience. The studio was bright and clean. Fae made her feel super comfortable and in control of the whole experience. We left with a very happy kid (and two new pierced ears).

Fantastic experience: I have been getting my tattoos from Mark for the past 6 years, and he is extremely meticulous. All of the tattoos he has done have come out perfectly, and I have had many people asking me where I got it done, because it is done so well. Today, I decided to get another one, and as always, I had a great experience. I highly recommend Mark at New Tribe Tattoo + Piercing. He is very patient and ensures you are comfortable throughout the whole session and that you are happy with the results before you leave.

Fantastic experience: An acquaintance recommended this place to me last year and I’ve been thinking of visiting here for a long time. Happened to walk past it so I walked-in and Fae was available for piercing services. She answered all my questions patiently and guided me through the entire process of choosing jewelry, drawing dots and aftercare. She was very friendly and gentle, provided me emotional support and did the piercings meticulously and fast. The place was chic, professional and had good hygiene standards. Would definitely recommend to those who want to get their piercings for the first time but are hesitant or nervous!

Fantastic experience: Got a group piercing here. Get $10 off if you bring your receipt from warehouse next door (bar printout not machine receipt) We each got a helix and they are healing well. Don’t get a piercing on the side you sleep most on!

Fantastic experience: Kaay was absolutely amazing. I went in for a bridge piercing and was having a bit of anxiety about it and they were so calm and patient with me and honestly made the whole situation easier than I was expecting it to be. I highly recommend them.

Fae was very accommodating and kind before the actual piercing, engaging in small talk with my friend and I. During the piercing process, they were very professional and I felt little to no pain.
