Fantastic experience: NOLA holds a very special place in my heart and this trip decided to have it memorialized with a tattoo. I did my research before hand and decided that the oldest tattoo palour in New Orleans was going to be the place. Sadly they are closing as of September 5th, but I'm so glad I got in there and got tattooed by Franky Sharps.

I found this place on a Google search and we walked in. About an hour later, my offspring had ver first tattoo and couldn't be more pleased with it. Awesome folks all around!

Fantastic experience: Loved this place! We were greeted warmly and the people were very friendly! The guest artist, Shane, was amazing! We were in town for my daughter's 18th birthday and needed 3 small finger tattoos. He is a talented tattoo artist, as well as, charming, and a decent singing voice too! He is truly our favorite person in NOLA! My daughter also had 2 piercings done by Kate. She was thorough and patiently answered all of my daughter's questions. She was great. Thank you for memories of NOLA that we will always have!

Fantastic experience: I walked in after a lovely walking tour in Armstrong park. I spur of the moment decided to pierce my septum. My piercer was experienced and did the best job. It's healing like a dream. 10/10 would recommend!

Negative experience: Didn’t get a chance to receive a tattoo… My friends and I were met with a very rude young blonde women at the door. She condescendingly explained the minimum charge without letting us in the door and when we decided to not come in she literally told us “sayonara”.. I’ve never experienced this type of service before not sure if the young women was having a bad day, but regardless there is a way to talk to people and that is not it. I don’t recommend anyone spend their money here…

Negative experience: The tattoo artists barely crack opened the door and barely explained their minimum prices. Her attitude was dismissive and non informative. There were 5 of us and we weren’t even welcomed into the store. It’s unfortunate she is turning down business even if she was the owner. This was the only bad experience we have had in our week long New Orleans trip.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic tattoo shop! Got my second tattoo by Chopper. He is quick with the drawings efficient with the tattoo I was done in no time and came out with the wonderful tattoo! I love it

Positive experience: I got a watercolor cypress tree that my artist, Cueves, free hand drew on my arm. I called to get an appointment for the following week and they got me in the same day, which was awesome! I really enjoyed meeting her and talking to her. It's a cash only business, but they do have an ATM on site that charges a small fee. They also threw in a free shirt, so that was a bonus. I've struggled getting ahold of them since to schedule more appointments, but that may be pandemic related? I'll keep trying.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. They've been a part of the city for years. The staff is inviting and easy to talk to about whatever you might want to get done. Stephanie did an amazing partial cover up and killed the lettering for me!

Fantastic experience: This place has had a home in my heart for over 15 years. My original piecer BooBi has left for ATL years ago however I still send friends and those alike here for piercing / tattoos. My only red flag, is this place doesn’t feel / look as clean as it should especially during COVID. The piercing jewelry options all look / are cheap. But if it’s trying to maintain the original tattoo shop it’s definitely nailing it. On street parking. Tattoo area, Handicap accessible. Cash only. ATM on site

Fantastic experience: This is my 3rd tattoo from Aart Accent and now I'm looking forward to my next one!! Allie assisted me and she was so professional and she wanted to give me a tattoo I'd be pleased with, she did just that. The artist was so laid back and easy to talk to and that made me feel comfortable and confident with my choice to get my tattoo done. The price was great, perfect location, and great music, i'll be back soon. Also, the other staff members were so friendly and cool I just can't say thank you enough for this entire experience!!

Fantastic experience: My first experience was memorable. I wanted to step on the wild side for my bday! Got my first piercing! A night to remember great customer service. Place was very clean, Covid protocol was being followed. I was a bit nervous they were so patient with me. Awesome experience!! Definitely will be back when I find courage for a tattoo! Just so the owner remember me she gave me a nick name...Bling girl Awesome Team!!

Negative experience: I called ahead to check pricing. I wanted to be pierced for my New Orleans souvenir. Pricing seemed okay. Paid $15 for a Lyft from my hotel to the shop only to be greeted with a sign that says $100 minimum and cash only. Sorry, but not sorry…no. Who carries cash these days let alone that amount of cash. In NOLA? I guess they only cater to locals because I know most tourists - like me - go cash free.

Negative experience: I’m not going to speak to the quality of their work, because I truthfully don’t know, but as to their phone etiquette, simply put, rude as can be. When you keep questioning what kind of tattoo I want and make it seem like it’s impossible or ridiculous, then you’re probably too commercialized to understand that some people have their *own* ideas for what they want for *their* body. I chose not to go with them because I don’t have time to be mocked on the phone. I do have time to write a review and let people know what kind of staff they have.

Fantastic experience: Got an anniversary tattoo from J here during our 1st trip to New Orleans and it was awesome. The whole staff was amazing and fun. The line work on our tats is AMAZING best work my hubby and I have ever had done. I wish they were in KC.

Fantastic experience: They were nice. But a little disappointed that they were booked up even though the website said they accepted walk ins. And to a extent the did. But for piercings. My advice (for anywhere in New Orleans) call ahead and set up an appointment. Even if you’re only inquiring. The person I was with got a nose piercing and she loves it. She got the second side done and said they were fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Me and my fiancée got tattoos to commemorate our engagement. Allie was super awesome she was great. With everything from the tattoo to the conversation to educating us on why this parlor is important to the tattoo community. Super honored that we got inked here, could not recommend her and AArt enough!!!

He was so cool and fun to talk to, he cleaned us up good and gave us some sick jewelry, he definitely made the experience more memorable and for that I’m a lot happier with my piercing than I would be otherwise. Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how awesome this place was. I, my daughter, and my husband all got tattoos, and my daughter also got a piercing. Erica Wedge took care of the tats and they are beautiful! Clean lines, perfect shading, and she was super professional and made it a great experience for all three of us. Colin took care of my daughter's piercing and she absolutely loves it! The energy was great, very professional, but still laidback. 10 out of 10, would absolutely recommend Aart Accent to anyone going to NOLA and wanting a tattoo or a piercing.

Fantastic experience: I got my bridge (area in-between nose and eyes) pierced by Colin and it was done perfectly! Symmetrical, sanitary, painless, professional, and the best price for piercings that I could find in all of the New Orleans area. Colin was very nice, respectful, and overall it was just a very pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: I had a bad septum piercing done on me at another shop. I had to get it taken out immediately and luckily they were able to take me in last minute. The guy who took it out was Grouch, who despite the name was actually very friendly! He got it out quickly and with no discomfort, and was kind enough to offer me another ring to replace the messed up one. If I were to get a tattoo or a piercing, it would definitely be from him!

Fantastic experience: Super talented artists at this shop. They will check temperatures at the door and provide hand sanitizer. They also require masks. Cash only. Because they're so busy, and justifiably so, you'll want to call ahead to schedule a consultation.

Fantastic experience: Me and my girlfriend went and got our helixes done, she also had her ear lobes pierced. We had the piercers Jordan and Colin. They were both so nice and welcoming, we instantly felt comfortable around them and loved their senses of humor. I super highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Went to get a very important piece done, the "artist" completely ruined my wrist. Now I have to get an even biggertattoo to cover it up. This was an extremely sentimental and important tattoo for me, and my first. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Allie is the best! My sister and I stopped in for a tat for her birthday! Her lines are so SHARP! She is very passionate about her work. My sis got a cover-up and a new tat. The cover was so amazing!!! I got 2 also. Allie was clean and hygienic about everything. We were told about the credit card vs cash payment which was NOT a problem. It's not Walmart! LOL! Businesses pass those fees on to customers with their prices. The shop doesn't want to. At least they tell you. At least the ATM is in the shop. Definitely will come back when we're in town again!

Fantastic experience: Allie was my 16 year old daughter's tattoo artist and she was amazing, not just her art but her manner and personality. I couldn't have asked for a better person for my daughter's 1st tatoo.

Negative experience: During my visit we encountered a very rude and unpleasant tattoo artist. This artist was not providing my service however he felt the need to argue with my group as we where preparing to receive our piercings. This exchanging of words escalated. The "artist" followed members of my group out of the shop and continued harassing them while he was supposed to be leaving for the evening. I hope the owners take time to read these posts.

So I loved the customer service, the cleanliness and the hospitality. I had no plans in get mine done and did it was smooth, quick and easy less than 3 mins.. Excellent $$.!!! Thanks Grouch

Positive experience: The actual piercing was great.... when it was time for me to pay, I was told that they didn't accept credit cards. I see the Visa/MC logo in the door. I was then told that they do normally accept cards but their machine was broken. This should have been mentioned upfront... what if the person I was with didn't have cash

Fantastic experience: My brother and I went as walk-ins around 10:30 Saturday evening. Everyone we met, and dealt with from the shop owners to our artists Tag and Roc, was friendly. The pricing is fair and the work was beautifully done. This is the oldest tattoo shop in Louisiana and the experience shows. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience!!! My wife and I were on vacation from So. Cal. and just walked in. They took us right in and we both got our souvenir tatts!!! She got a black key and I got this!!!!

Negative experience: Not happy with my tattoo. The lines are uneven, sloppy and don’t even connect in some places. They have signs posted saying there is a 5% fee for credit card payments, but they insisted I pay with cash. They have an ATM in the lobby, but of course there’s a fee for that too. Weird and unprofessional. I do have to say that the place was cute in an eclectic way and seemed clean. The tattoo artist was hygienic as well.

Negative experience: I caught staph infection from there ,, please go somewhere else and they are very expensive,, keep your money, they will tell you that you have a lifetime warranty to repair your tats but then say you should have been come back when it’s a lifetime thing,,,, do not waste your money or time,, you will regret it

Fantastic experience: So, My wife and I were down in New Orleans for my birthday and I'd decided that for my birthday I would get myself a new tattoo and low and behold this establishment was opposite our hotel (would you believe). After reading a few Google reviews, I knew that THIS was the place! On walking in we met Chopper Pete, who was without doubt one of the most professional, straight up likeable dudes I've ever met.. And he also did a killer tattoo on me AND reworked an old too!! The next day my wife was (who had a tattoo booked) was let down and Pete came to the rescue and did the most beautiful custom design of a lotus flower. Soooo big thanks to Chopper Pete and all the staff, you guys rock!

Negative experience: When we walked in and asked if there was any availability for a small tattoo for 2 people we were told yes it would be a 10 minute wait. We ended up waiting for 2 hours for the artist to actually be ready by that point it was 2 am and we were tired and had a flight to catch in a couple hours so we changed our minds and wanted to leave. Jesi (the artist) proceeded to harass my friend via text about how rude it was to back out and because she “works on commission and has a son to support” she made us feel bad for not being comfortable and not being ready for a permanent tattoo even though it took her hours to do 2 drawings. I have multiple tattoos and I’ve never been treated like this before. You should always be able to say no at anytime.

Positive experience: He was super efficient and confident. One of the most painless and quick piercings I've ever had. He didn't ask if I approved of the location, though, and afterwards I feel like the piercings aren't tilted as I would have liked on my nipples. One is certainly more vertical than the other. Other than that, though, I was super pleased. Would just recommend checking the dots before the needle happens!

Negative experience: Way over priced. Tourist trap. The guy who did my stencil was a good dude and was working with me. He asked me my budget I told him no more than$200. The woman set the price at $275, for what I calculated would have been about a 45 min piece. Then asked for $200 deposit. When I asked to make an appointment for the next day, they didn't want to make one, they rather me just walk in. Not interested.

Fantastic experience: After having a horrible experience with another tattoo shop in NOLA we had been trying for weeks to set up an appointment with before finally managing to get one (which was then canceled upon us showing up to said appointment), we found Aart Accent Tattoo. They were amazing, professional and willing to create 3 individual fun little voodoo doll tattoos for us on the spot and complete all 3 tattoos on a Monday night. Steve is an amazing artist who went above and beyond to turn our ideas into reality, salvaging the final ending to our NOLA trip in the process. Go here if you're looking for skilled artists and a considerate and professional atmosphere. 10/10 will go back again on my next visit to New Orleans!

Fantastic experience: My daughter, her friend, and I all walked in to get some tattoos while on vacation. I was nervous about going to a place that allows walk-ins and straying from my usual artist, but felt relieved once inside and greeted by Scott. Everyone there was extremely friendly and had us laughing from the moment we walked in. My daughter’s friend had a VERY tight budget with a very specific request for her first tattoo and Steven offered to take care of her so she wouldn’t have to compromise and get something different. He also did an amazing job on a dainty chrysanthemum on my daughters ankle. Tag drew up a design of a rooster that FAR surpassed what I had in mind and even incorporated wrought iron and a fleur de lis into the design to make it more special. We were in and out in 2.5 hours. I’m extremely happy I chose to go here and will continue to do so every time I visit New Orleans.
