Genuinely the least painful session I've ever had and zero discomfort while healing as well. The design I chose from her flash definitely helped with that but loved my whole experience start to finish. highly recommend

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both have gone here for several tattoos. We love all the artists here, it’s a queer safe place, and the work is impeccable. They have rad merch and it’s in walking distance from so many places in the cbd. I get compliments on the tats from here on the daily from customers at my restaurant jobs and I often suggest they check Lucky Dagger out, hopefully they’ve gotten some walk-ins from me The pricing here is also very fair, with even the owner Jacqui who is quite talented having the time and the want to tattoo new faces. Can’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Artists are warm and welcoming. The shop is comfortable. Not much to compare to (first tattoo), but Jacqui was professional and easy to communicate with. She was quick to respond to emails, and she definitely took care to ensure that I ended up with the result I wanted. I could not be happier with the outcome.

Fantastic experience: Had my work done by Era, and she was wonderful. The vibe was very chill, everyone was courteous and friendly, and Era gave me one of my favorite tattoos, and I have many. Fantastic experience: Me and my bff went to Lucky Dagger yesterday to celebrate the 13th with some tattoo debauchery! We got in line at about 3:30 PM and were able to get tatted just after 7:30 PM. Helluva wait but we met so many folks in line and had a wonderful time interacting with the staff when we got in. Jacqui did a wicked fast job putting on the grumpiest lil rabbit that April designed, and all around the shop energy was super nice! I hope I get the chance to come back soon, and thank you for the new ink!

She had a super super relaxing aurora about her that was beyond impressionable!! She made me feel so relaxed and at ease. If this was my first tattoo.... I would've loved to have gone to her!! Fantastic experience: While in New Orleans celebrating a joint birthday, my friend and I wanted to get matching fine line Libra tattoos. We found Lucky Dagger Tattoo and reached out. They were super responsive and excellent to work with on booking. We saw artist Era. She took the design we wanted and simplified it for the fine line design. We are both so happy with the service, the shop, and our tattoos. Era was great to work with. If ever back in New Orleans, I would stop in again for something else. First two pictures were taken the day of the tattoo. Picture 3 is fully healed.

Fantastic experience: This is our first visit to New Orleans! My husband & I planned on getting some ink work while here & what better opportunity than Lucky Dagger which was just across the street?! Guys, this place is a GEM ! Complete hole in the wall, charming, quaint, shop with so much character all ladies ran! The gal up front was beyond sweet and we had great chats with her! She was rad and informed us beautifully on what to expect and pricing! She set us up with Christina. We are collecters and we wanted to choose something the shop came up with so we both picked a cool flash piece from the books available. Christina tattooed my husbands hand and he was so insanely happy with it he was asking to come back the next day! My piece is also adorable and Christina walked us through every single thing she did. Wow! We both wish we could have her do the rest of our sleeves! Thank you Christina. You have given us both the absolute BEST tattoo experience we’ve ever had! Everyone has such unique talent and brings their own zest to the shop, just being there is such a privilege. Fantastic experience: Where to even begin!? I found Lucky Dagger on Google. They were the top result for best tattoo shops in New Orleans. Google wasn't wrong. As soon as I reached out to Lucky Dagger they began the smooth and stress free process of getting me in there. I answered a few simple questions and they followed up by contacting me. They paired me with Christina, the artist they felt coukd best meet my needs. Christina was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I walked into the shop to when she put the final bit of ink in. She walked me through every step and was so sweet and patient. I couldn't of asked for a better artist! I got my tattoo a little over a week ago now and I'm just as in love with it as I was then. We went traditional bold. The lines are crisp, the blacks are rich and bold, and the grey and white are subtle yet defined. Thank you Lucky Dagger and thank you so much Christina! Would highly recommend and I hope to be back for more work in the future!

Positive experience: Went in and really enjoyed the experience with the staff however. Now that my tattoo is healed after following instructions it looks terrible. I got this tattoo July 5th and today is July 19th. Spotty and just over all messy.

Positive experience: Haven't been to the shop but I know I get no response from the artist(Vivian)I was trying to see when we come to town. I got several emails from the shop but not the artist I requested. I was told her birthday was one day during the communication and then didnt hear anything back. Just because someone is price shopping doesn't mean anything. I liked her work and she was my first artist to reach out to before we come to town. Must not want the work

Fantastic experience: I’ve been tattooed twice now at Lucky Dagger, both times by Jacqui. Both experiences were amazing! For both of my tattoos, I just sent Jacqui some ideas and she did the rest to perfection! One was large cover up too so if you’re in need of a cover up I highly recommend Jacqui and the Lucky Dagger Team. Fantastic experience: I got a tattoo last Thursday (12/05/24) and I couldn't be more pleased. My artist, Christina, made her own design from a picture I sent her the day before. Fantastic experience: My husband and I went here today for a tattoo for our honeymoon. The front desk person was so sweet, helpful and had great customer service. She provided a ton of help with picking out t shirts (they have a really cute collection of gently used clothing that is re-purposed and also t shirts if that’s not your thing). We were tattooed by Coyle who did a great job and took his time with details. Overall had a great experience. Thanks team!!

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at the shop. I was in town for a family reunion and knew what I wanted. It was a simple tattoo. Something I have wanted for a long time, as it has a lot of personal meaning to me, but it never felt right to get it at home...it had to be done in New Orleans. I researched so many different places. I read so many reviews and a lot had great reviews, but something kept pulling me back to this shop. I am so happy I decided to go with them. And I cannot say enough about Coyle. He was so awesome. We spent some time going over what I sent over and what I really wanted. In the end he was able to take what I gave him and make it into exactly what I had in my head. Thank you Coyle and thank you Lucky Dagger. When I make it back down to NOLA I will visit again.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best experience at a tattoo shop ever (with the exception of my personal friend and tattoo artist back home). The shop is impeccably clean. We were there as a group to get tattoos for my youngest 21 birthday and we are all extremely happy with the pieces we got done. Keith was extremely professional, friendly and TALENTED!!! She was patient - never rushing us whatsoever - as we settled on some specifics and placed (and re-placed) the precise location of my stencil. I contacted Clare about a month before, we discussed designs, planned our time and were all set. She has a great personality and we instantly felt comfortable with her. Her line work is amazing, our tattoos are both perfect. We are very happy with the quality of her work. The shop was clean and professional. Great merch too! Fantastic experience: Just wanted to drop a huge job well done to Keith Ansel. My Special Lady Friend and I made an appointment for when we were in town, sent him art to work with. We showed up at the appointed time, Keith came out and showed us on a tablet our design. He adjusted the design to accomodate a last minute change, and sent it to stencil. Gave us 3 different size options, we chose, and he got right to work. Me first, right shoulder. 40 minutes later, he was applying a Dermo patch instead of plastic wrap. Special Lady Friend next. Same scenario. Keith did an amazing job. His fine line work is amazing, his overall line work is crisp, clean and deliberate. Cost for the piece for two was fair and reasonable. I was given a cost before I arrived. Sent deposit by Venmo. Whole process was quick, clean and enjoyable. I would definately go to him again if I ever return to New Orleans, and would recommend to anyone looking for a piece from him.

Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo appointment with April and it was easily one of the better tattooing experiences I've had. She drew up a beautiful design, better than I could have imagined, and conveyed my exact requests! The shop was super clean and everything about the procedure was very sterile. I appreciated April's patience with making sure I loved the size, the placement, etc. She was so nice and super easy to talk to. I recommend this shop and April in particular! Fantastic experience: I had never heard of this shop before and came across it while searching online. First let me say this is THE most professional tattoo shop website I’ve seen. After checking everything out I decided to go with Jacqui and I love that there’s a form to fill out. Saved a ton of time not having to call. Within a few days I received a response and we chatted a bit, set the appointment, dealt with deposit, etc. My appointment was set about a month out. I personally think it’s a really good sign if someone stays booked out. I didn’t mind waiting at all. The shop is really cute and has a laid back vibe. Jacqui was fantastic. I got exactly what I wanted and it’s healing beautifully. I would definitely go back and would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was a walk in basically, though I called ahead of time. Keith was available and did a great job on my tattoo. I wanted the Swedish rune, Malin, to remind me that I'm always moving forward. It turned out great!!!

Fantastic experience: Loved everything about our experience! The minute we walk in for our appointment everyone was so nice. Everyone was helping us when we had questions about the paper. (One of our party had just turned 18) Clare was our artist and she is AMAZING. We had 3 tattoos done for a girls trip. There were details that we were unsure about with the tattoo. Clare took the time and listened and made several drawing and even helped us when we couldn't decide what to do. It was one of the best tattoo experiences I've had ever. I do not live in the area but I'm more than willing to drive the 4 hours to come here for all future tattoo work.

I came with an idea for an original design that was pretty convoluted to start with but she took all of my ideas and made sure they were all incorporates in the final product. Fantastic experience: Super friendly and accommodating service. Queer-positive environment, and really worked to squeeze me in on a minimal custom design walk -in with Keith while I was visiting. Highly recommended, especially for greyscale and illustration styles. Also appreciated that artists are still masking and thinking about community health during this pandemic. I'm really picky about my tattoo artists and had a great atmosphere of trust immediately.

Fantastic experience: Keith Ansel was awesome!!!! We are from Birmingham but would drive back to use him. He is amazing! My daughter, who got her 1st tattoo and I texted a concept to him and he did a magnificent job coming up with the perfect design for both of us. We have very different tastes but wanted the same basic design and he was able to capture both of our styles perfectly!!! Great artist and great personality!!! Would highly recommend him!!! Than you Keith for a memory for us that will last a lifetime!

Fantastic experience: Some friends and I were traveling to New Orleans from out of town and wanted to get coordinating tattoos. We found Lucky Dagger online and immediately wanted to support a progressive, woman-owned business. We submitted a request and received an email back pretty quickly. We gave our artist (Clare) some pictures for inspiration and we were so happy with what she designed for us. It was my first tattoo and Clare was mindful of that and super gentle. It was a really positive experience. I loved the vibe of the whole shop and I would definitely come back for another tattoo.

Fantastic experience: First time in New Orleans and wanted a tattoo to commemorate the experience. The reviews for this shop were fantastic so I sent a couple emails and was able to book an appointment about a week in advance. Sent a few photos and the idea of what I wanted. Coyle was great. Clare was my artist and she was so patient and willing to listen to all of my picky requests. The entire experience was perfect and my tattoo came out beautifully. I highly recommend this business!

Fantastic experience: Probably the best tattoo shop experience I've had thus far!! I only wish I would have found them sooner! After finding the shop based on proximity to where I was staying and its high ratings, I stopped by in person to ask some questions to see if the shop would be a good fit/would be able to accommodate my preferred tattoo style. I had the chance to speak to the artist I'd be working with that day. From that first conversation to my actual appointment, Keith was so respectful, patient, and kind. He did everything he could to make sure I felt comfortable and heard throughout the process and took his time to make sure we got the placement just right for the tattoo. I've been to a lot of shops who have been dismissive and downright rude when I ask if they do white ink, but Keith was very accommodating and cool about my request. The good vibes extended out to the rest of the staff I encountered, too. Another artist who happened to be onsite was also super helpful and offered feedback/advice for placement while we were applying the stencil and gave solid advice before starting the tattoo process. I really appreciated how supportive the artists were of each other, willing to collaborate and listen to feedback. I was also incredibly appreciative that they offered pasties so I could keep the girls semi-covered while getting my sternum tattooed. They even offered to put up an extra curtain if I wanted additional privacy. The shop was clean, well setup, and very comfortable. I most definitely will be back the next time I'm in town!

Fantastic experience: I got a couple of fantastic finger tattoos from Dani at the Lucky Dagger Tattoo while I visited New Orleans. Her art is creative, I absolutely love it and her lines are clear and fine! Dani and the shop made it easy for me to work out the details ahead of time... I could not be happier, I love my tattoo's!!!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the most incredible tattoo experience I could have ever wished for. This phenomenal shop is queer-owned, woman-owned, and Asian-owned. All of the tattoo artists were super friendly and even came by to chat, but I will focus on Angelique, as she was my OUT OF THIS WORLD tattoo artist. I had an ambitious first tattoo and Angelique made me comfortable, explained everything, and made me feel confident leaving the shop. Her talent and gift is beyond anything I’ve ever seen and I’m eternally grateful for her sharing her gift with me. Definitely check out this shop for quality work and a top notch experience.

Fantastic experience: I have 3 tattoos from 3 different artists at this shop. They are ALL AMAZING. I have a portrait of my dog that I get complimented on daily. I can't say enough good things abt this shop. Wouldn't go anywhere else at this point.

She communicated with me throughout the drafting process, made all requested edits timely, and wildly exceeded my expectations with the finished product. Another member of staff even bought me dinner since the session was so long. Such a great day and overall great experience.

Fantastic experience: I love this tattoo shop! I recently got my first ever tattoo from Jacqui and she did not disappoint. I know a few people who go to this place regularly for their tattoos. It's in a nice, central location. All of the staff are super friendly people and they attract great customers. I will definitely be booking again soon!
