Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo here and had an amazing experience. Carol did my tattoo and she was absolutely great. She made me feel comfortable the whole time, explained everything, and the result turned out even better than I expected. I’m super happy with my tattoo and would definitely recommend this place – especially Carol!

Fantastic experience: I came a few weeks ago after booking online probably a month prior to my tattoo. So happy with how it turned out and is healing, Sam was my artist, she is so talented and I would 100% recommend booking with her. The studio is super cute and the atmosphere is very nice. I would highly recommend them and would definitely consider travelling back to Auckland from Wellington for my next tattoos.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to add more ink to fill some space, and it needed to match my existing line work and overall theme. My last few pieces were done by an awesome artist in Christchurch, so I was pretty cautious about choosing someone new in Auckland now that I’m based back here. I have zero drawing or artistic ability, but with a few rough scribbles on paper and our initial chat, Dre completely understood what I was after and nailed a design I was stoked with. He was great to bounce ideas off and kept refining the design right up until it was time to ink. The studio has a really chilled vibe and the four hours flew by. I’ll definitely be back to fill in some more space.

Fantastic experience: My friends and I were visiting Auckland and decided to get matching tattoos! Andre made it such a fun experience. We were all talking and laughing the entire time. He was able to get us in on his later nights on Thursday which worked out great for us. Highly recommend this place! Great communication and even better work; our tattoos look perfect!

Fantastic experience: A+++ I had the privilege to have Carol as my artist and she did not disappoint! She perfectly encapsulated my vision of a peacock feather in a collaborative and open minded manner and has reasonable and affordable pricing plus, the hygiene was impeccable! I’ve waited for my tattoo to heal so I can give a review on the healing process and am happy to report no issues with healing - a month later it turned out amazing and Carol is very accommodating with any and all questions I had pre and post. Such an amazing atmosphere and experience. Would highly recommend Artero and any of the three amazing and talented artists!

Fantastic experience: After seeing four artists, I walked into Artero to see Dre. He was understanding about my concept for my tattoo, but also brought some of my ideas back into reality. It never felt like he shot down any of my ideas. Instead, he always had a suggestion about how we could make it better! After that first meeting, I knew he was the right person for me. As the date got closer, I was sent the first concept, which wasn’t quite what I had pictured. To settle my mind, Dre created another drawing that showed more of what he wanted to do, and it was so much better. He even did this while on his holiday! Then the day came when he sketched over my arm, and we worked out the layout together. I looked at him and said, “Can you make my dream tattoo amazing?” He smiled cheekily and replied, “I wouldn’t be here if I couldn’t.” In that moment, I had no doubt. Fast forward through six sessions of laughter, amazing chats, and great stories, I now have a tattoo on my arm that is exactly how I pictured it and something I’m truly proud to show off. I cannot speak highly enough of Dre. He’s incredibly professional while still being easygoing and comforting. Every little concern I had throughout the process, he took the time to settle my mind. I now see Dre as a friend, and I can’t wait to sit in his chair again, looking at that cheeky smile and sharing more great laughs! Cheers, Dre, forever grateful for what you’ve given me.

Fantastic experience: I went to Andre for a tattoo fix on my existing tattoo which was originally done quite poorly. I had little hope that it could be fixed. Andre gave me hope again after meeting him. And on the day of the fix up on my tattoo. Andre sure did not disappoint! The fix up was definitely above my expectations. Andre is very talented! And his team at Artero tattoo parlour are very welcoming and genuine people. The studio ambience is also very pleasing. I will definitely be retuning back to Artero for my future tattoos! Fantastic experience: Caroline was awesome when I entered the shop for a consultation. This is my first ever tattoo and she made a wonderful tribute for my grandma out of the idea that I shared with her. My grandma passed away in June and got this tattoo a month after her passing. My tattoo is now almost 2 months old and still looking amazing. Thanks, Caroline (first 2 photos are from the day I got the tattoo and the 3rd one is recent)

I have never gotten a fine line tattoo before but I was not expecting this result. The details Carol puts into her work is incredible, she cares so much and you can tell from the moment you meet her. She wanted to make sure it was perfect and you loved it, I am so happy she could bring my tattoo to life the detail is amazing. My partner also got a tattoo and it was his first and rather large, he is so happy that we came here. Carol was gentle and understanding and always made sure we were both doing alright and to see if we needed breaks multiple times throughout the tattoos. He had ideas on how to change the design once shown to us and carol was so understanding as he tried to navigate what he wanted. We are both incredibly happy and will most definitely be back for our next tattoos. Thank you so much team you are doing a perfect job.

It's been about a month now and it has healed up so nicely. When I saw Carol's work online, I knew I needed to have a piece of my own. It did not disappoint, I'm so happy with my beautiful dedication of pet portrait to my furry child, Cosmo. Carol's communication throughout the process was exceptional. She is a lovely human too which made the time fly by. I had good chats with the rest of the staff, as I had a half day session booked. They were all awesome and lovely too. I also saw their professional and patient attitudes when dealing with a difficult customer. I really enjoyed my time here. Special shout out to the fluffy white boss, Sky, who did a thorough entry check of everyone at the door. 10/10. I'll definitely be back. Thanks so much guys!!!
