All people we had have contact, were helpful to find an appointment and also very kindly while tattooing. They were also very professional and helpful to find the best tattoo and the best size. Fantastic experience: I felt like I was in safe hands from start to finish. Sierra was pleasant, professional and made helpful suggestions when appropriate to get the size and placement just right. Sierra executed the tattoo beautifully. The price was reasonable. The process was much less painful/ uncomfortable than the other tattoo I have. (I understand that this may be due to the fine needles used.) The premises were spacious, clean and calm. I intend to go back when I am ready for my next tattoo.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I got tattoos done by Eloise today and it was a wonderful experience. We had only booked a couple days before and they managed to fit us in quickly. Eloise was so lovely, super welcoming, patient and professional. We wanted simple, fine line, letter tattoos for each other and Eloise helped us get them just as we had imagined. Very easy process!

Positive experience: I’m very sad I can’t give a 5 star review as I really really liked the studio atmosphere and the artists work. Unfortunately Zoe changed the style of my first tattoo while tattooing without asking or letting me know, which was very disappointing. I don’t understand why you have the opportunity to talk about every little detail in advance and even see what the design on your skin looks like before they start tattooing and then doing it differently. I wanted a very minimalist unalome with very fine lines in between the spiral, so if you have closer look you’ll see it also looks like a shell. Instead of that Zoe did the spiral more as a shell, doing the spiral more wavy so it was a more realistic/3D looking shell. I totally understand if tattoo artists do their own style, I just wished we would have talked about it so I get the choice if I want my tattoo in that style. Unfortunately when I texted Zoe to let her know I’m not 100% happy with it and a bit disappointed it felt like she just sent me a standard apology with weird reasons for the adjustment like it would fit my body better and for the healing process… Imo it’s just a matter of different styles and different taste. She also didn’t offer a free follow up or price discount or anything. It feels very disappointing to give that much trust (especially with your first tattoo) and the tattoo gets changed without letting you know and all you get afterwards is a standard apology. Apart from that I’d like to add that I do think Zoe is a very very skilled artist and the tattoo looks really nice, it’s just not exactly what I envisioned.

Fantastic experience: Had my tattoo done my Domi (@dmnk_ink) and I’m more than happy! From getting a consultation appointment to going there for getting the tattoo, it was so smooth and comforting. I came in with a rough idea and Domi gave me different sketches to bring my idea to life. Also the day of getting the tattoo was really good and I was being taken good care of, when I needed a break or else. It is the end of my journey in NZ and I’m glad that I choose this studio to remember that story forever!

Fantastic experience: This place lives up to the all 5-star reviews. My husband and I traveled to New Zealand and we each wanted to get a tattoo. Alvina (owner) was so quick to respond to my messages. My tattoo artist was Sierra and his was Eloise. They were fantastic, really meticulous and patient. Sierra was a perfectionist. She worked on the design until it was perfect. Eloise was fantastic with my husband who was getting his first tattoo. He was so happy with the tattoo placement and how it came out. Thank you Sierra and Eli for the amazing work. This was one of the highlights of our New Zealand trip!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with Camyl at Auckland Fineline studio today. I was late to the appointment and she was super understanding and empathetic to my situation. Throughout the process Camyl made me feel comfortable and welcomed, having great communication with any alterations and enthusiasm towards the project. I am so incredibly happy with the finished tattoo, from the design to the detailing and the line work. The vibes in the studio were also very welcoming and kind with everyone being so nice, I highly recommend this studio.

Fantastic experience: I got a new fantail and fern tattoo with Alvina a few days ago. Alvina is very professional from discussing tattoo ideas, doing the tattoo, to explaining aftercare. She is super nice and easy to communicate which makes me feel comfortable voicing out my thoughts and ideas all the way through. The whole session was super chill that we had wonderful chats. I of course love the final tattoo which is better than I could ever imagined!

Fantastic experience: Our flight to NZ was delayed by several hours and as a result our group was incredibly late and ended up arriving after closing hours. Alvina by all rights could’ve cancelled our appointment but she went above and beyond to accomodate us. She was incredibly understanding and patient and made us feel very welcome. The art itself was STUNNING and we all had a lot of fun. 5 stars is not enough, highly recommend to anyone, especially those new to tatoo’s and/or interested in fine line art, as Alvina has absolutely mastered the craft.

Fantastic experience: Hi. I done my first tattoo on my left upper hand yesterday (03-Nov-2025) by Caitlin. Its the first tattoo in my life and I was looking for a better tattooist. I should say, she's the best in the city for any complicated and much detailed tattoo. And even ahw did this tattoo within a day, where all other tattooists i saw was recommending 2 days. I loved it. It came exactly and more more perfect than in the theme I given. Hats off Caitlin. I will recommend everyone to her from now.

Zoe did two more tattoos for me on the front and back of my arm from my favorite books, and the details are incredible! From my very first enquiry, the studio was super responsive and accommodating, and booking was really easy. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so getting the stencil size and placement right took a few tries, but Sierra was incredibly patient throughout the process. The process was easy from start to finish - she has a straightforward booking form, great communication leading up to the appointment, and the Auckland Fine Line Tattoo Studio & Yeonji were warm, friendly and highly professional during the whole session. Yeonji executed the design so perfectly and I cannot recommend her & the studio enough!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to get a fine line tattoo, I had a precise idea of the style I wanted and from all the tattoo artists I searched in NZ, Sierra's work and style was exactly what I was looking for! I really loved her style so I book an appointment with her to have a tattoo of a fantail. Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful experience with the studio and my artist, Camyl, for my first tattoo. The studio was clean, beautiful decorated, the ambience was warm and welcoming! Camyl was absolutely brilliant, worked closely with me on my design idea, communicative throughout the whole process, answered all my questions kindly and took so much spirit in the creation of my tattoo. It felt like the artwork was as important to me as it was to Camyl! I couldn't have wished for a better studio or artist... thank you!

The tattoo is beautiful and she made sure I’m satisfied with the design before going for it :) Had a short but lovely conversation with her on a rainy day The studio is also really cozy and clean, definitely would recommend coming here to get tattooed!

Fantastic experience: i got 2 tattoos from the very talented zoe. picked them from her absolutely adorable flash on her instagram and very reasonably priced as well. she was super accommodating and helpful when i needed to change my appointment date. the whole process was completely stress free and very comfortable from picking the placement to getting the tattoos done. i am extremely happy with how my tattoos turned out - zoe has incredible attention to detail!! also the studio was very clean and welcoming. i was super happy with my experience (and tattoos!) and will definitely be going back! will definitely be recommending to others as well. 10/10 ❤️

Fantastic experience: Caitlin did 3 matching tattoos for me, my sister, and my mom (her first!). She was so friendly and professional, and she creatively translated our idea into a drawing that was exactly what we wanted. She's got a gentle hand, and the thin lines healed easily for all 3 of us while the color stayed solid and even. I highly recommend Caitlin if you're looking for something unique and delicate!
