Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness what fabulously great people! From the minute we walked in the door we were met by the most gorgeous friendly receptionist. Then the artists who looked after us were incredibly friendly too, highly skilled and we are really delighted with our tattoos. Been to other great tattoo artists before but these guys are the ones I'd highly recommend for lots of reasons. Esp recommend if your going for first tattoo. A1.

Fantastic experience: What a day there. Birthday tattoo for me. Greeted by a lovely receptionist, super welcoming and polite. Very very cool studio. I had the pleasure of being worked on by the talented Tanja, light hands thank God as I was getting a side face piece. I was honestly blown away when I saw the finished piece. Im so happy. It's been getting so many compliments since yesterday. Will be back for sure. You guys are the best!

Fantastic experience: Heartbreak Social Club is a warm and inviting tattoo place. From the moment you go in it's just smiles and welcomes from all. I got a tattoo over two days - elbow to shoulder - with Avril. We had a great consultation and she came up with an amazing design. She suggested I go lower on my arm than I had first thought I might, so I agreed - and, Wow, it really is important to trust your artist. By going lower it gave a great look as if there was movement in the Raven's wing. Cannot thank Avril enough - and to all at Heartbreak Social Club.

Fantastic experience: This place is unreal and I cannot recommend loren enough she is the most amazing tattoo artist ever!! I've just finished my second session and I actually cannot get over how amazing my tattoo is the attention to detail is seriously impressive thank you so so much loren I will definitely be back for more tattoos with you and not one bit was painful it was such a relaxing experience in such a lovely tattoo studio the staff are also so friendly !! Thanks again loren and Heartbreak Social for a great experience and some seriously beautiful art tattooed on me I am delighted !! 5 stars is not enough for loren deserves more !!

Fantastic experience: I was abroad in Ireland and went as a walk-in roughly two weeks ago. There wasn't a long wait time and the receptionist was really friendly as she set me up. I got the tattoo done by Xin who did a great job on it too. Very good experience overall.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I were both able to get in on Saturday and we both used Smith tattoo. (Luckily he had a cancelation). The place is really cool, staff is friendly. It appears all of their tattoo artists are professional, and very talented. In regard to Smith himself he was very kind, laid back and a great tattoo artist. Would highly recommend him and this tattoo shop. As far as pricing, it’s all relative of course. It appeared he charged around $120 an hour but this wasn’t disclosed. My tattoo was 3 hours and it was $400 euro. My wife’s 1 hour $100 euro. Of course you have prep time etc. I feel for the detail of the tattoo it was worth it. Bring cash. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: I got one of their chained / welded rings done last weekend and I am so delighted with it. It was very professionally done too and I didn’t have an appointment made but they were able to take me as a walk in. It’s so comfortable on and I can switch it to different fingers at my ease. I’d love to see them bring in more styles as they only do one style of 9ct gold at the minute.

Fantastic experience: got my belly button pierced today by Rachel, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! She was incredibly patient and sweet, taking the time to explain every step of the process and making sure I felt comfortable throughout. You can really tell she knows what she’s doing. Super professional and skilled. I’m so happy with how it turned out. Highly recommend her if you’re thinking of getting a piercing!

Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo here a few weeks back and it was overall a brilliant experience. Even though it was a small and basic tattoo Adam didn't make me feel rushed and took the time to discuss placement and size etc. The lady at the counter was also very welcoming as well. Would highly recommend and I'll definitely be back again for future tattoos!

Fantastic experience: You have to get pierced by Sarah, you just HAVE to - over the past three and a half years she’s done twenty piercings for me and I’ve been so absolutely delighted every! single! time! She is so professional and clear about the entire process - makes sure you understand the ins and outs of the piercing you’re getting, what the healing is going to be like and straight up whether it’s a good idea for your anatomy or not. Her attention to detail and willingness to take a couple of minutes discussing and trying different placements to make sure that you’re both happy AND getting a good piercing is so, so fab - she even takes in to account how future piercings you might want to get could be influenced by the one she’s currently doing! Basically, she’s so so fantastic and clearly really really cares about what she’s doing. Go get pierced by Sarah ️️️ (Also a special mention for Emily at the desk who is an absolute perfect GEM of a woman and so lovely every time I’m in)

Negative experience: Was expecting to get my first tattoo for Mother’s Day, they only took in 15 people and sent everyone else back. We were waiting for over an hour. This is such a disappointment and a bad promotion. Expected better from you guys

Fantastic experience: Heartbreak social Barbers ! A 10/10 experience today. The service from start to finish was amazing. Reception- Very friendly and accommodated my early arrival. Barber - Ami is fantastic and very professional. I had been to a different barber shop in Walkinstown earlier in the day and had a woeful chop and beard butchering. Ami was able to salvage what remained and gave me a clean cut and a great beard. Price point - You get what you pay for. The service and time going into the work is amazing. Attention to detail is on point. Fantastic shop and great staff. Booked in again straight away !!

Fantastic experience: My wife was getting a tattoo and I decided to get a fresh cut before our flight out while I waited. My barber, Ami, did an amazing job with my medium zero fade. She and the receptionist were very welcoming and great conversation. The coffee shop, barbershop, and tattoo shop were really cool especially the classic chopped Harley and the Harley bobber. My wife’s tattoo artist, Avril, did such a good job with her last minute appointment and the tattoo came out great. Would definitely go again next time we travel to Ireland.

Fantastic experience: Been tattooed a couple times by Dev now and she is absolutely fantastic. Amazing work obviously but she is so considerate and really attentive to designs and placement. 2 tattoos I have gotten a few months ago have healed beautifully. Can’t recommend Dev enough.

Fantastic experience: Got a lovely conch piercing from Sarah today, and I cannot recommend her or this studio enough. She explained every step of the process and helped to put me completely at ease when I mentioned I was nervous about the piercing. Everything felt completely safe and sanitary and I am so so happy with my experience and my new piercing overall!

Fantastic experience: This is a tatoo and piercing shop. But they also have take away coffee ☕️. In only 2 Euro they serve delicious coffees. If you are in Dublin 2, their coffees are must try for only 2 Euro

Negative experience: Unfortunately had a really disappointing experience here. Walked in this weekend for a piercing with a friend and recieved repeated and slightly passive aggressive remarks. Asked for advice on placement to which our piercer responded "well it's not my nose." The atmosphere was incredibly frosty, despite us trying to lighten the mood. Both myself and my companion felt like a massive inconvenience and had we not already prepaid and been taken downstairs I would have liked to walk out. I held off saying anything because I believed at least the quality of the piercing was good. As I write this however, I have realize that the jewellery change i requested (nose stud to ring) has been miscalculated. The ring is have been given is too small for my nose and I was not consulted on size. I asked to change colours and I felt like I could not ask for a different size as I already was being a big inconvenience. I get people can have bad days and it's possible we were unlucky with timing but not sure what we did to be treated like that. This is my 19th piercing and this experience was by far the worst, first and last time here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve came to this place about two times now. Back on September 7th literally the day after I came back from the US, and the 9th of November. So far only gotten tattoos done there and they are amazing! The staff is super friendly and lovely, the vibe of the whole store is awesome, and overall everything is just professional! Tanja Jilesen has design and done two tattoos for me, she’s such a sweetheart and great at communicating when it comes to designing the tattoo and on the day if you want to change a few things or needing a break! I’m definitely coming back here again in the future for more tattoos! 10/10

Fantastic experience: Got my septum pierced with Hazel today, I wouldn’t go to anyone else but her. Always a ray of sunshine and so comforting. I would trust her with my life at this point. Always clean, pristine and perfect. 100/10

Fantastic experience: Genuinely the best experience I've ever had at a studio. Myself and my friend popped in today for a lil walk in, and from the get go we had such friendly interactions with all staff. The studio was deadly vibes, and Sarah our artist was no expectation - the nicest and such a talented artist! Took so much time with us, made us feel comfortable with stick and poke (first time w/o machine) and we both LOVE our new tattoos x Will be my go to from now on :)

Fantastic experience: Aaron tattooed both my husband and me while we were visiting from the states. It was a great experience start to finish. We were able to give the shop the dates of our vacation and they fit it into our schedule perfectly. Aaron was great with communicating beforehand and the day of! Both of our tattoos came out beautifully. The shop is so clean and everyone was so kind. Absolutely loved our full experience!

Fantastic experience: Heartbreak Social Club is by far my favourite tattoo shop. From the aesthetic and tunes to the friendly artists and staff - everything is always top notch. My artist has been Tanja, and I am always amazed by her work. Genuinely, everyone has been fab. Plus they have excellent coffee so even if you aren't in the market for a tattoo, I highly recommend popping in.

Fantastic experience: Just had to share what a wonderful experience I had at this shop- from beginning to end, I had the best time with Heartbreak. The receptionist (sorry I don’t know her name!) was SO kind and warm and helpful, through numerous email/booking exchanges and especially on the day of the appointment. Loved her!! And my artist, Tanja, was a gem. She took my Irish wildflower idea and sketched up literally a perfect design, and executed it flawlessly. She was also so lovely to chat with throughout our 2 hour appointment. My sister-in-law also got a tat with Tanja that day, and we both insist we’d come back to Dublin just to see her for our next. Heartbreak was absolutely perfect, and my best tattoo to date! Thank you!!! ♥️

Negative experience: I’m sure that if everything goes smoothly, it’s a lovely venue with good tattoos! But if there is a hiccup, you’re doomed and you’re in for an awful experience that will either leave you in tears or shaking with anger (personally, both). Highly unprofessional carry-on, whoever runs the day-to-day show needs serious customer care and/or managerial training. I’m left feeling completely shafted , to top off a horrible experience- I’ve been ignored since requesting my deposit back when previously emails have been answered in less than 24h… Heartbreaking experience indeed

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming. I've gone twice now and have been delighted with my tattoos each time. I plan on hopefully getting lots more over the next year and this is where ill be going for them. Would highly recommend going to Dev for your next tattoo, she is incredibly talented.

Fantastic experience: Just got my nipples pierced again after years and after i thought i would never be able to have both again after one of them got ripped out. I not only got both my piercings back but had a wonderful experience with Sarah, she made me feel so comfortable and followed up throughout the entire process to make sure i was happy. The job was quick and relatively painless for going thru scar tissue a second time. I was also refitted for a different nose piercing as my last stud was too tight, i walked out feeling extremely satisfied and happy, i would recommend anyone come here and see Sarah if you’re wanting some metal!

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo in Heartbreak back in the Capel Street days, and it’s the only studio I’ve been back to. It’s the only place I would let my little sister get pierced, and have recommended it to multiple friends and family members since. Not only are the artists and piercers extremely skilled, they work fast and have fair prices. The decor is class, the coffee is unreal, and they have the sweetest receptionist in the whole world!! Special mention to Andrew for tattooing and Hazel for piercing - they’ve worked on myself and people I know and they’re always super professional.

Fantastic experience: This review is a quite late, (visited back in 10/31/2023) but here it is! I had such an amazing experience with the lovely folks at Heartbreak. It was my first time getting a tattoo and my artist Lucas made it one to remember. I was very nervous, but he and the other artists around were so kind and supportive that I almost forgot why I was there in the first place. He did a wonderful job with the prompts I gave him (a megalosaurus skull with apricot blossoms) and I can’t stop gushing to others about it and where I got it from. He and Heartbreak made a lasting positive impression on me for my first trip internationally and was a great way to finish my last day in Dublin. If I’m ever fortunate to find myself back in Ireland, I’m going to be sure to make a special effort to stop by Heartbreak! Thank you thank you, y’all rock!

Fantastic experience: Got my first ever piercing here and I couldn't be happier with the experience! The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They absolutely knew what they were doing and answered all the questions I could think of- which was so important to me since I'd never had a piercing before. And the fact that you can get coffee for just 2 quid in the lobby is a definite plus. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Negative experience: I recently visited this studio to inquire about fixing a tattoo. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. When I asked for help with my tattoo, I was told it was too big to work with and was suggested laser removal instead, which I declined. What really made me uncomfortable was the comment made by the receptionist, who jokingly suggested cutting my arm with scissors. While I understand it was a joke, it was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. It left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I expected a more professional and supportive environment, especially when discussing something as personal as a tattoo. I hope the studio can improve its customer service and approach to clients in the future.

Fantastic experience: This is quite literally the best piercers in Dublin, maybe even Ireland. I’ve been here a few times and have never had any complaints. Everybody is so kind, welcoming and helpful with such professionalism. I’ve recently been to a different piercers while away from home for a piercing downsize and was met with so many complications and unprofessionalism that I would NEVER experience at Heartbreak Social Club. This is the only piercing studio I trust wholeheartedly, and in future I’ll travel the distance to get seen to here. Seriously, if you want a piercing come to Heartbreak Social Club.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had multiple tattoos and piercings done in heartbreak, all the tattoo artists are so so talented!!! I usually go to Andrew for tattoos and he does an amazing job each time :) I can’t even begin to describe the detail and attention that goes into all of his work, would absolutely recommend!! Hazel and Rachel have done a few of my piercings and they’re the best piercings I’ve ever got! I’ve never felt so calm and at ease getting a needle put through my ear and eyebrow lol X Emily at the desk is always so welcoming, counting the days till I’m back again!!

Fantastic experience: Sarah at the Heartbreak Piercing Parlour has pierced me from Piercing #1 to Piercing #17 and about a million downsizes and jewellery upgrades. She’s so meticulous about her markings and piercings, and always has the best advice for jewellery and aftercare to make sure my piercings heal perfectly and look just the way I want them (as well as the funnest chats). If you’re getting pierced in Dublin you HAVE to go to Sarah! Also a massive shoutout to Merryn and Em at the front desk they’re the sweetest every time I visit and the best hype girls for all the piercings and tattoos I get here!

Fantastic experience: Hazel is basically changing my life from a piercing perspective and has already guided me through planning out ear curations on both my ears. Finally having someone address my previous piercings and how uneven they were with a long term solution to incorporate them into ear projects that I’m so excited to see come to fruition.

Fantastic experience: The staff calling customers darling, honey and love is genius. That was an amazing touch. Well thought out. It wasn't in any OTT eat like in the USA either. It was also great to see an all female run business. They gave me great advice about healing scar tissue and types of jewellery. I wish them loads of success and luck for future decades to come.

Negative experience: Purchased one of the chained 'welded forever bracelets' which fell off after one week. Very disappointed considering the price, hadn't done anything strenuous that would have caused it to break. As I lost the physical bracelet can't get it replaced due to T&C's

Fantastic experience: I had an incredible experience with Hazel who pierced my nipple a couple of weeks ago. I went with Hazel because she was recommended as an LGBTQI+ inclusive piercer with experience piercing the chest of trans masculine people post-top surgery. I went for an initial consultation with Hazel (€10) where she checked the tissue and nipple to make sure that it was suitable for piercing. She was thoroughly professional and answered any and all questions I had with sensitivity and friendliness. We had nice chats and she really put me a ease. She took her time and really knows her stuff. I went back to her a couple of weeks later to actually get my nipple pierced. I had to book two time slots (only paying for one) so she could really take her time and ensure the maximum chance for a successful piercing outcome to what is essentially scar tissue. She spent time marking my chest and making sure she had everything perfect. The piercing had to be done slightly different in technique than a regular nipple piercing so she made sure everything was right before proceeding and she communicated everything to me as she went and made sure I was ready for the next step at each point. After I was pierced she gave me a thorough aftercare talk that left me with no doubt of the next steps. It's been a couple of weeks now and I'm healing up a treat with no complications. I'm very happy with my experience with Hazel and I would recommend her anybody, but specifically to any trans or non-binary people who are looking for a knowledgeable, professional and sensitised piercer who will give you accurate advice and a welcoming environment. I'll def be going back for future piercings.

Fantastic experience: So opted to get the welded bracelet in white silver. Very friendly service whilst welding the bracelet. Informative about maintenance of bracelet. Very unique concept. Honestly love that it was welded on, very bespoke. Quirky.
