Fantastic experience: Brilliant experiences here. Awesome facilities. Cant recommend Mark enough. He has been excellent and super professional in every step of the process. I have also been told I'm at least 10 percent hotter with the tattoos, so seems worth the time and money!

Negative experience: Looked at the flash for about 5 or 8 minutes without a greeting, girl at the desk seemed more interested in her phone. Walked out because I don't really want to get tattooed by people who don't want to tattoo me. Otherwise it did look clean and put together in the shop.

Fantastic experience: I came here for a tattoo in 2019, with a specific design-- had an amazing experience. I returned in 2025 for a cover up of a different, older tattoo because I was so happy/impressed with my previous experience, that I knew Mark + Skin City could do the job. I love not only the work they do, but the friendly and personable way they treat everyone. I recommend them to everyone seeking an artful tattoo in Dublin.

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience. I got tattooed at Skin City 3 weeks ago and just waited for my tattoo to fully heal to leave my review. Before the appointment: I set my appointment via instagram, the reply was quick, friendly and I was provided with all necessary information beforehand. The studio: Welcoming, comforting, very clean and professional. Friendly staff allover. Minus point for not having a coffee machine. The artist: I was working with Mark which was an absolute pleasure. His calm, relaxed and professional manner made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the whole process. Not only did I feel in very good hands but also very safe to voice any concerns, questions or possible design and placement changes. There was no rush, no pressure and help in decision making if needed. The tattoo: Clean linework, no blowouts, saturated blacks, crisp white highlights and a lovely whip-shade. As any I´d expect from an experienced artist. Overall great quality. Summary: I´ve gotten tattooed all over the world and Skin City is a 10/10, absolutely recommend and would go again.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Dublin from London and made an impulsive decision to get a tattoo whilst I was there. I contacted a few places and luckily Skin City had some walk in availability, and I'm so happy with my choice. I got a plane to represent my love of travelling, and Mark was my artist. Mark was an absolute star and took his time to make sure I was happy with design and placement. He was very chatty which made the experience a lot more relaxing and I'm so happy with my final piece. Fantastic experience: I have the up most respect for Skin City, my girl Nadja is my tattooist for life, she just gets me! I'll get a couple of bits and pieces from other tattoo artists that I love but I'll always go back to her for the bulk of the work because she takes all of my ideas and makes them so much better. Skin City is so chill and all the artists and previous artists are extremely creative legends and inspirations. I 100% recommend dropping into Skin City if you want some banging pieces that are specifically tailored to you ✌❤️

Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo from here when I was 19 and now they're the first place I go to if I want something new. I've done appointments and walk ins, and absolutely enjoyed every single one. 5 years later, almost 30 tattoos and I don't see myself going anywhere else. Multiple artists of different talents and styles that its honestly hard to choose from. All great staff, all professional and welcoming, solid team. Will definitely be returning for another 30 tattoos

Fantastic experience: 7th time there yesterday, absolutely amazing work and phenomenally friendly artists as always. Fainted during my tattoo and everyone was so helpful and friendly as they made sure I was alright at the time and afterwards aswell. Sandra is an amazing artist and everybody else seems incredible too so this is THE BEST place to go if you're looking for some new ink in Dublin. 10/10 easily

Negative experience: I was on vacation in Dublin and I walk in to the studio to get a tattoo. It was in the afternoon, and the receptionist told us there wasn’t enough time for a small tattoo for me and my friend when we actually check the opening hours in google maps... We ended up going to another studio where we were welcomed and taken care of right away. It’s a shame the reception here were so unfriendly, especially considering how talented the artists seem on Instagram. You should really reconsider your priorities.

Fantastic experience: I was tattooed here recently for the third time and my experience has always been really good. Sandra was the artist this time and she was phenomenal. I loved the design she made but she was very patient with making some changes I requested and even incorporated an old tattoo that could not be covered. We spoke regularly during the process and she ensured I was comfortable throughout. We had a half an hour break which really helped my energy levels.

Negative experience: Visited here last year with my sister and got matching tattoos to only now find out we have been well and truly ripped off. Other family members of ours have just been, same hotel, got the same size tattoo for half the price, per person. We feel absolutely ripped off by them, they seen us coming and completely ripped us off. The guy was also late even though we were on time. Shame cause the studio was nice. To now find out they clearly take advantage of tourists has made us feel pretty disappointed.

My second appointment was today I arrived at shop on time filled our paper work the guy said he would tell Artist I arrived he then left the shop the Artist was at back of shop chatting to another Artist they new I was there I stood there for 10 minutes being ingnored there was no other customers in Shop which I would understand if they were busy I then decided to leave as I thought this was very rude and bad manners poor customer service when ur paying alot of money for tatoo and decent customer service which I did not get on this occasion bad experience round trip ..signed Stephen

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately this review is for some reason very late! Better late than never! Anyhow, what a fantastic experience I had with Mark about 2 years ago now. He went above and beyond to accommodate me and the tattoo that I wanted. My tattoo took around 11-12 hours. After my initial appointment it looked unrealistic to get the tattoo that I wanted done in the time that I had as it would have typically taken about 2 sessions. I explained to Mark that I was leaving Ireland in a few days and that I really wanted the tattoo that he made for me. He told me that my tattoo would typically take two sessions which was disappointing considering my time constraints! He then willingly offered to do the tattoo in one session. And for my first tattoo it was quite the experience. I was impressed with his artistry, and attention to detail. He listened to what I wanted and created a masterpiece. Mark is an absolute gent and I would highly recommend him to others. When I return to the homeland next year I will be stopping in to get more work done. Thanks for all that you did for me Mark. He bent over backwards to get my tattoo completed before I left! Thanks for all that you did Mark!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about these guys. We were visiting from Canada and had booked a tattoo appointment for my husband before leaving. The day of the appointment, my husband and I woke up and my husband couldn't find his phone anywhere. Without it, we had no access to any funds whatsoever. We ran to Skin City and with only giving them 10 minutes notice, we explained our situation. We were sure we would lose our deposit and well... that was that. Karl was so incredibly understanding (probably because I was bawling like a baby) and told us that we could just move our appointment. We had no choice as we HAD to find my husband's phone. Luckily, we were coming back to Ireland on our way home to Canada. They rebooked us - no problem. We found the phone, and continued on our trip around the Island. We went back for our new appointment and Emanuel did an AMAZING JOB! He was so lovely to work with and did exactly what my husband wanted. I would recommend Skin City to ANYONE wanting a tattoo in Dublin.

It doesn't matter what you want, they will pair you with the best artist who will take your ideas and make them even better than you thought it could be. Fantastic experience: I contacted the shop 3 months before traveling there from the US to set up a surprise appointment for my husband for his birthday. The shop manager, Karl, was amazingly helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. When we got there in person, it was a great experience! The artist, Mark, was very patient and offered insight while working through the design with my husband, ensuring that it was just right. He made jokes and laughed with us and made it a comfortable experience all around. I would highly recommend checking out Skin City Tattoo if you are in Dublin and looking for a great place to get some great ink from some wonderful people.

Fantastic experience: A friend of me and I made 2 appointments (with anton & mark), so we could each get a big tattoo when visiting Ireland. Everything worked out perfect, both artists were super cool, funny and chill. The tattoos came out great and they didn’t even charge the max. amount of what was planned via text messages. Also great service, they told us how to take care of it (even though we both already had tattoos), recommended places/positioning, so it would look good and so on. Also they asked if we’re happy after applying the stencil, made corrections and happily explained everything we asked for, and even asked if we wanted the exact picture we brought (own designs) or if we need changes / if they should use their own style. 10/10 would recommend, and if I’m ever in Dublin again, I’d choose no other studio than this one! Thank you a lot!

Negative experience: Had 2 very small, around the size of a 2 euro coin, basic tattoos as a walk in today, each taking 25mins to complete. Despite being told the minimum charge was €80 for each tattoo when it came to pay I was charged €200 for both. Absolute joke of a price. I asked the receptionist to explain what the artists hourly rate was so I could try and understand how they had the front to charge €200 for 50mins work and she couldn’t grasp the simple question. Lovely people however clearly happy to extort tourists. AGREE THE EXACT PRICE BEFORE TRUSTING ANYONE AT THIS PLACE.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon in August of 2023 We knew we wanted tattoos to commemorate our time together so we looked over a bunch of tattoo shops/artists in the area! We found Skin City and really liked the tattoo designs and the positive reviews!! We got them done on our last day of our honeymoon! Denilson did my beautiful watercolor sun, and Eric did my husband's tree of life!! We love the tattoos SO much! Perfect way to end our honeymoon!

Every single person who works there is great, always super helpful. The artists are always happy to work with you and help you figure out ideas and designs, I've done my last few with Mark and he's always brilliant and patient even though I come in with, say, Taylor Swift tattoo plans and there's never any judgement, just advise and helping make it happen! Fantastic experience: I booked a tattoo here with my family for our first tattoo. We are from the states and wanted a tattoo to commemorate our time in Ireland. Our artist, Mark, was fantastic! He took time to personalize with all four of us with the location of the tattoo, aftercare of the tattoo, and even took time to walk us through how it would feel in order to calm our nerves. It’s a very clean facility and I would return to here to get another tattoo! It was a fantastic first experience!

Fantastic experience: My girlfriend and I had an incredible experience with Skin City. They were able to get us a weekend slot a few days in advance and worked us both all day and even stayed late to finish. Her piece was done by Mark and worked with her for 2 hours to get a design she liked and ultimately gave her an amazing forearm piece. My artist was Denilson and he did an incredible Celtic/Norse piece that took up my entire right chest. It was beautifully done and he was great to work with. This shop is clean, professional, and incredible talented and I would recommend to anyone!!

Fantastic experience: I'm Emily's dad from the previous review. We did come in from Canada knowing full well we were getting tattoos commemorating our trip to Ireland together. We found Skin City, and literally could not have done any better. I had Sandra do both of my traveling tattoos, and they are amazing. She is an absolute artist. If you are in Dublin, and looking to get a tattoo this is the place to go. Reasonable prices, high quality work. I would say ask for Sandra, but my daughter might disagree. Either way, you can't go wrong.

He had Sandra and I had Denilson, and we could not have been happier with the final product! Prices were very fair and reflected the quality of work. He was so patient and gentle which we really appreciated, and once I saw my friend’s I immediately asked if he could give me one next haha. I could not recommend him more! Negative experience: Zero Stars. I booked with Tattoo Artist Eric in December for the 4th of February. I messaged the artist on the Tuesday to confirm my booking and received an confirmation, but when I drove over an hour to Dublin, I was told that my booking wasn't made and they cannot help me.... This is so unprofessional and I would highly recommend that you think twice before picking this establishment , you might be turned away like I was. If this is how they run a business then I don't even want to know how they actually do tattoos.

He has a very unique/ incredible style and you won’t be able to get the same tattoo anywhere else! Thanks again to everyone there and for sure will go back if I find myself in Ireland again. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I had my first ever tattoo with Taker yesterday he designed exactly what a wanted I was very nervous he told me he was soft and I have to say he was brilliant it was painless he was absolutely brilliant so efficient and friendly my tattoo is amazing I love it I can highly recommend him

Fantastic experience: This place was awesome. Stayed open late so our whole family could commemorate our trip with matching tattoos. Fran did my tattoo and he is beyond talented. He redrew mine and I have to say the rest of family is a little jealous. This simple tat was way below his talent threshold and he still put all of his effort into it. He’s a great tattoo artist and my next trip back to Dublin I will be looking him up ❤️❤️

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Skin City! I reached out in January about an appointment in March and they were able to get me all set-up without any issues. I went to my appointment and it was seamless. Everyone was friendly and everything seemed nice and clean. Highly recommend this shop and I love my tattoo from Denilson Paranhos!

Negative experience: We got a tattoo in this shop. Despite having an appointment they made us wait 30 min. Badly done tattoo and the tattoo artist had a very heavy hand. They did not accept the card and only charged us in cash. They didn't give us the receipt and even when we asked they didn't give it to us. 3 small tattoos and 10 min each, 240 euros. Embarrassing. Highly not recommended

Fantastic experience: The experience I had here was prefect! The artist called Taker that I thanks a lot made a beautiful tattoo and we discuss the whole time ! I really enjoyed the place and recommend it for the people that want to have a tattoo and a great souvenir from Dublin On top of that the location’s style is really good and well made (I found the decoration very nice, old industrial), the mood of the place will make you forget the time you spend in it Thanks again to Skin City Tattoo, you guys are so nice !

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and artist. I got Sandra. It cost 600 which I though was great. It took a full 6 hours and I am delighted with the tattoo. It was my first one. It gets very very sore so be prepared. Bring chocolate and fizzy drinks for your break half way through. You honestly get so and sore also bring a spare jumper to lie on as you are in the same position for hours! I will be back for more

Fantastic experience: Fantastic shop with Fantastic friendly staff. Had the best full day session with Vini, so happy with the work. If I could knock off half a star I would, charged 5 euro for tat cream after paying for a full session, not good customer relations. Return business has to be more important than a fiver!!!
