Fantastic experience: This a piercing shop filled with robots who want to take your money and put holes in your body, nay nay. The incredible humans who work here are so caring and considerate for you as a person. They walk you through each step, make sure to keep things clean and sterile. Each team member genuinely cares about your well being and they make it a fun experience with character and support. I will absolutely keep coming here and telling anyone who mentions they want a piercing to come here as well. Thanks dudes

Fantastic experience: Phil Nehring is amazing—he’s super fun to hang out with for hours, and his work is always awesome! They do offer walk-ins, but I’d recommend making an appointment and waiting for Phil.

Very quick and beautiful piercings , he explained everything and more and it was all very pleasant. Post piercing instructions were great . Everyone at this shop was friendly, helpful and amazing. Negative experience: Despite having a great selection of jewelry and skilled fast piercing artists the customer service is a bit lacking. I have attempted to come in and get a piercing i got here downsized multiple times. Despite offering jewelry change appointments on the website they told me on the phone that they would not schedule me on the phone, or tell me when an artist would be available. That if anyone walked into the shop in person between then and when I arrived I would also have to wait behind that person even though I'm calling now to schedule. Which is a thing I have never been told at a piercing shop in 15-20 years of getting pierced.

Fantastic experience: Candice was absolutely amazing. A much needed therapy session after that guy didnt get my nose rings even. She was so sweet and gentle. And PATIENT! She was so thorough with the measurements and the whole process. Will be back for more.

Fantastic experience: Took our kiddo to get her ears pierced by Blake for her 6th birthday. Blake did such an amazing job with her, walked through the whole process, and made her feel totally in control. The shop was clean and welcoming, we happened to come in on Friday the 13th (IYKYK) and they were super efficient and organized, even though it was a little hectic. We had an incredible experience and wouldn’t hesitate to come back or recommend.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome! If you’re looking for a piercing studio that has incredible costumer service and incredible piercers with lots of experience, this is the place for you. Me and a buddy went to get pierced there today and we were extremely satisfied with not only how great the piercings turned out, but also with how incredibly kind everyone who works there is. I feel really bad because I forgot the front desk ladies name but she was extremely kind to us. Candace did our piercings and I would absolutely 100% recommend her to all of you. She has so much experience and will gurantee that you get the piercing you’re looking for. If you aren’t satisfied, she will do whatever it takes to make sure you are. Fantastic experience: We got our 3-year-old's ears pierced spur of the moment at the mall which was a big mistake. I took one of the earrings out and left the one that I thought was more decently placed because they were so uneven. I did a lot of research and found bound by design. They gave me good advice over the phone on how to get the hole to close and heal and when to come in to have it repierced. Tiffany was beyond amazing. She went over all the anatomy of the ear and how she measures to make sure things are precise and even. In hindsight we should have just taken both of the earrings out and let her do both. But in even more hindsight I wish we had done more research and gone to her to begin with. She made our 3-year-olds experience so seamless asking her questions like what her favorite color is during the piercing. My 3-year-old did not even know that it happened. I already recommended her to a co-worker who wants to get their baby's ears pierced. Definitely go to Tiffany!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany was fabulous . She made me and my husband feel comfortable cracking jokes to lighten the mood. She very professional and knowledgeable giving clear instructions. I had minimal pain and hardly any swelling at all. Kept forgetting I got my hood pierced, kinda nice actually. The shop is clean and has many talented artists. Definitely recommend!!!

Negative experience: I got pierced here in January of this year. I was soo excited. Pierced by a lady named Candace. I should have spoke up when she started piercing me because it was in front of people like a group of apprentices, which must have made her nervous my piercing came out horrible and crooked, not to mention she measured it with broken QTIPS. Dahlia piercing. I had to take them out a week or two later. One was pierced nice the other was super crooked.

Fantastic experience: I have been here a few times over the years and each time is amazing. I've had my septum pierced and other piercings that I wish not to disclose here. From Candice*, Blake*, the kind front staff to the service and quality of care is amazing! I had messed up my septum piercing by panicking and they fixed it and treated me like it was A-Okay. *Hopefully spelling is correct. Definitely the place to go and 100 steps up from 90's piercings.

Fantastic experience: Maya is an AMAZING piercer and I highly recommend her! She makes you feel comfortable and listened to and she is so good at what she does! She did my daith last year and it healed really well and I just got snake bites done tonight and she made sure they were symmetric and that there was enough space for the swelling. 100% recommend especially if your body sometimes struggles to heal piercings!

Fantastic experience: In love with this shop already. Went and saw Maya for my bridge piercing yesterday and I had such a fantastic experience. They have a wonderful personality and attitude. They went out of their way to not only work with all of my nit-picky feelings about location but encouraged me to make as many adjustments as I wanted (such a great trait in a body modification artist, I love an artist who is completely committed to making their client happy). The piercing itself was an absolute breeze. I was feeling pretty nervous for this one and it was done and over so fast, nearly painless. Everything was incredibly clean, jewelry was beautiful and reasonably priced. Staff at the front counter were knowledgeable and welcoming. This is definitely a location that focuses on a quality experience. I will be back for sure. I got a bridge piercing, basic jewelry, a cute rainbow gem septum ring and saline spray all for less than $120. Very very happy. Addition: got some ink from Tim today and I couldn’t be happier! Brought my best friend from out of town over and did a walk-in. He did some really fun constellations and a Saturn. Stellar work, stellar person.

Fantastic experience: Candace is AMAZING!!!! after a horrible experience at a other piercing place, we found our way to Bound by Design. Candace educated my daughter on her belly button piercing, made sure she was comfortable before she did anything, talked her through everything all while keeping such an upbeat and fun personality. The amazing selection of jewellery and shout out to the front desk guy with the blonde hair who was extremely helpful he took the time to find a 7/8 glass plug and he was patient with me and just wonderful to talk too.. Another shoutout to Patrick who did my gauges I went from 3/4 to 7/8 and Patrick was very honest and caring he made me feel relaxed and talked to me throughout the process and he made sure I felt comfortable you can tell Patrick enjoys doing what he does... Living in Colorado Springs none of my piercings shops out there doesn't do that size so I made the drive to Bound by Design and it's worth it.. Thank you ✨

Fantastic experience: I lost a lip piercing while on vacation in Denver. Someone recommended bound by design to replace it. And I was assigned Candance. Candace is brilliant and amazing and we vibed and I looked at my husband and said this is the woman to pierce my difficult septum. You are blessed Denver. No regrets. Amazing piercer. Amazing shop.

Fantastic experience: My piercer, Patrick, is absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. His care for all aspects of piercing are about as good as it gets. Answered all of my questions, and described angle of entry, technique, and how angle would matter. Above all his concern for minimizing my pain was truly excellent. The overall atmosphere and front counter staff are fantastic! Apple was very helpful explaining jewelry. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place, I had an amazing experience with Candace. She was easy and kind. I came right over from another shop locally that refused to do a simple rook change for me (with a 14k gold piece) on a well healed piercing. Candace did it with extreme ease, and was so friendly. The environment is also extremely clean and professional, and their cost was so reasonable for a change compared to other local shops. I’m excited to come back for actual piercings from this shop!

Fantastic experience: Came here to take out an embedded earring and glad it was here. The process of getting it out was super nerve wracking (and definitely not an easy task) but Maya was super reassuring and experienced so it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, I can’t express how grateful I am to her. Fantastic experience: Went to the Colfax location I am not from Denver but was looking for a new piercing I googled for places and this one popped up. It's a clean and awesome shop when you walk in the receptionist was super nice. It did take a bit of a wait because there was a larger group in front of me but I didn't mind waiting. Candace was my piercer she was very meticulous in the symmetry of my nostril piercing and was super fast and efficient on my septum. She was super fun and made things light. Would totally come back for another one if I'm in town for a new mod! ☺️

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience with Patrick tonight! He pierced 5 of my friends & did a great job- He was very kind & patient & talked them each through what their individual processes would look like before starting so they were comfortable & confident in his abilities. I felt like he was well informed of piercing placement, healing & aftercare, & all of them look fantastic. The green haired front desk person was a sweetheart, too. (: I don’t remember who did them, but piercings I’ve gotten here in the past have also been fantastic. They were all done well, healed perfectly, & I had great experiences with the piercers. ((While I’m here- Any time I see that the front desk person with the long black hair is working, I want to turn around & leave because I know I’m going to be met with a horrible attitude. The first time I interacted with them, I assumed that I was doing something wrong or maybe they’d had a bad day, but after multiple negative experiences with them & seeing other’s reviews about them, I don’t think that’s the case.))

Negative experience: Please read this before you even consider going to this shop for a piercing! If you aren’t too knowledgeable about piercings, it might seem fine at first, but after going to true professionals (APP members) from Kind Find in Colorado Springs *Highly recommend instead of Bound by Design!* I was so shocked to discover how horrible of a job Bound by Design actually did! I got dimple piercings and a bridge done by a piercer named Patrick, who supposedly has over a decade of experience, and when I asked how many cheek piercings he had done, he said it was more than he could count. Despite all of his experience, he pierced me at a completely wrong angle, which I would come to discover was pulling down so much on my skin it would never heal. That side of my cheek was also starting to embed and was even on the brink of infection which would have caused me so many more complications if I did not get them removed. Patrick never told me what would happen from this off angle, and described it more as something aesthetic than something actually serious. He only offered to re-pierce, but a true experienced piercer would do that from the get-go knowing the complications. If that wasn’t enough, I was given a bridge, and Patrick asked me where exactly I wanted the placement of the bridge, despite this being a completely anatomy dependent piercing and you can’t exactly just choose where you want it. What happened was that I don’t actually have the anatomy for a bridge, I was even told over in Kind Find that their piercer would have flat out refused to give me a bridge because of that! They literally pierced my forehead in Bound By Design and called it a bridge! It was a terrible placement, far too high up, and if left it in any longer, it could have possibly caused bone decay from not having enough skin. I should also mention how the jewelry I was given was completely wrong. The piercing balls were even digging into my skin, despite meticulously following every step of aftercare. I was given a 14g for my cheeks, when a 10g is recommended for cheek piercings and the length of the bar I was given was 3/4 of an inch, where I couldn’t even see the bars of the piercing even before I started swelling completely! I was basically just given the standard “one size fits all” kind of piercing, horrible quality with no shine, and best of all, externally threaded! For a new piercing, mind you, and a cheek piercing, which is probably one of the trickiest piercings out there. I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. Your piercer needs to be someone reliable who you can put all of your trust in. I’m only 18 years old, not completely new to piercings, but still relatively so, and this was such a traumatic time for me. I saw all the great reviews, I thought the shop looked legit, but ultimately, I ended up being a victim to negligence and I could have been disfigured because of it. Please don’t fall into the same trap that I did! I was so lucky to get my piercings out super early on, and I’m planning on eventually getting them re-pierced by actual professionals after they’ve healed. If I had waited even just a month, my situation could have been so much worse. Research! Find actual piercers that are APP members, read through their reviews, and even if you have to invest a bit more to get a truly good piercing, do it! You only get one body, don’t mess it up with cheap, externally threaded, and way too small jewelry here.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for years and I have always been more than impressed by the whole experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and super clean without feeling sterile, and the people who work there are so friendly, and PATIENT. If you are the kind of person who needs to go into a place three or maybe four times first just to look at jewelry or piercing possibilities or tattoo designs and ask questions, and then ask the same questions just to double check, and not feel silly or embarrassed (after all, it's your piercing/tattoo, so you should be making sure before this commitment), then this is the place you absolutely have to check out. The piercers are incredibly good at what they do, and the jewelry selection is impressive. There is something for every price range and style. (I have only ever been to one other place that compares to the jewelry selection here, and their piercers are not impressive, to say the least.) I can't say enough about how amazing this place is!!!

Fantastic experience: I went into Bound By Design a few days ago and got my septum pierced by Candace. It was the absolute best experience! Candace was bubbly, bright, and real. She was so sweet and explained everything I needed to know clearly and perfectly. Being my first major piercing, she made me feel comfortable, empowered, and was very quick and professional. The piercing itself was basically painless and I love it so much It's freaking amazing; I'm glad I finally accomplished this goal of mine! The shop itself was very clean, organized, and had an amazing and chill vibe. The process was also very clean and sterile. I went later in the evening and the moment felt just right (corny, huh?) The customer service was great. I will definitely be choosing Bound by Design for any future projects and I 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: Wow — these folks are amazing! I stopped in today because my old shop (where I originally got my piercings) closed, and one of the threaded ball ends on my ear had come off. I’d been struggling to get it back on for days with no luck. The person at the front desk was super kind and helpful, got me in right away as a walk-in, and Patrick had it fixed in like 10 seconds. Everyone was so chill and welcoming. My husband and sister have both said great things about Bound by Design — now I totally get why. So glad I stopped in, and I’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Bound by Design is hands-down my favorite place to get pierced, and the team there is amazing. Blake has done several piercings for me and is absolutely incredible—super precise, calm, and really takes the time to make sure placement is perfect. I’ve gotten a conch, several flats, a forward helix, a conch-lobe orbital, a tragus, and an anti-tragus done there, and every one healed great and looks exactly how I wanted. Tiffany, Maya, and Candace are all awesome too—warm, knowledgeable, and great at making you feel comfortable. Everyone there knows their stuff and you can tell they care about doing things right. The vibe is relaxed but professional, and I never feel rushed or talked down to. If you're looking for piercers who are talented, kind, and easy to trust, this is the place.

Negative experience: Love the piercers ! But the front desk girl with long hair that’s always helped me ,keep in mind I’ve been here over 10 times and each time she seems annoyed to do her job and like I’m inconveniencing her with questions she just isn’t very welcoming also I thought it was something I did but I’ve seen her interact with other customers and she’s the same also have seen multiple reviews saying the same thing. I love coming to this place I just hate talking to the front desk cuz I don’t feel welcomed and more like an inconvenience, I only feel comfortable when I go back with the piercers.

Negative experience: bought some “22mm” plugs here. except they aren’t actually 22mm. after being told they were measured twice, i got home and they are at minimum 23mm. either that or every other plug company is wrong and all my other plugs are too small (i have multiple pairs from different companies).. this was on top of the fact that everyone in this shop had some sort of weird ego and seemed very snobby. the one perk of this place was the front desk girl who was very friendly and kind. everyone else acted like they were better than you. that plus spending over 70 dollars on a pair of plugs that don’t even fit and that I have to stretch my ears for, I will never be returning here..

Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo done by Adam and it was a fantastic experience, the shop is really cool and all the staff were really friendly. I think Adam did an awesome job and the tattoo was fun making conversation and talking about whether aliens have visited earth. Overall I would definitely recommend the shop and specifically Adam's work and I fully intend to come back for another tattoo

Positive experience: Blake is fantastic! 5 star experience with her - skilled and knowledgeable piercer with an eye for aesthetics. Highly recommend. The front desk, however, has been hit or miss for me. I had a bad experience where I felt like the person working the counter was not being up front about jewelry selection and pricing.. a follow up visit with a different person at the front desk confirmed my feeling was right.

Fantastic experience: Had to get a CT scan on my head. I recently received some fresh earpiercing. They were able to place glass earrings that would be safe for the scan. I was a walk-in. They provided me with quick and excellent care!

Negative experience: Cadence is wonderful a very nice person she pierced my nipples and dahlias. But I do have a couple complaints about my dahlias, they pierced them with barbells and I have chipped 3 teeth, and now that my piercings are fully healed I wanted to buy some flat back jewelry. I don’t want to pay extra for someone to switch out the jewelry when I can just do it myself. Everytime I go in to look at jewelry, they don’t give me the option to just buy the jewelry and the front desk lady is always extremely rude and judgemental. I’m sorry I don’t want to pay like $100 for my jewelry switched out when I can literally just do it myself. It’s not rocket science loll

Fantastic experience: Tiffany Rose is an absolute gem. Genuinely one of the sweetest humans I have met in this (or any) industry. Her demeanor is instantly warm and inviting. From the way she explains the process to the actual piercing, it is clear she loves her work and giving her clients an outstanding experience. Someone who feels like a friend which is so welcome in an environment where people may be a little nervous. I have been bringing my teenage daughter here the last couple of years for her new love of piercings and she loved her last experience with Tiffany. We have used other piercers here as well, and they are all fantastic. I personally haven’t had any new piercings in awhile but Becky at the front helped me bedazzle my old ones with some absolutely stunning jewelry for my wedding last year. I was so impressed with her patience while I took my time to decide. She helped me pick out some more stunners last week. I’ve shopped every high end piercing shop in Denver and BBD hands down has the best, most expansive selection. And the coolest people working there. Thought my piercing days were behind me but this place has renewed my love of the art and can’t wait to get more. Just take all of my money. You deserve it.

Negative experience: so i came in to ask about piercings, and immediately off the bat the person who i assume is their piercer, is treating me like i am the dumbest person to walk the earth. i have a stretched septum. both me and my friend who walked in were pretty pierced, and yet my white friend was the only one treated with respect and he wasn’t even getting pierced. pleaseeeeeee find another place to get pierced if you are black!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany was SO funny, helped lower my nerves, and so incredibly informative. She has plenty of years of experience piercing folks and was able to take her experience over time to inform me how my particular piercing should be treated and healed. Highly recommend this shop for piercings and jewelry managed by caring and lovely humans.

Negative experience: I had my lip piercing and resizing done here and had my lip piercing for over a year and a half. One morning I woke up for work and my piercing was rejecting. I didn’t have time to come here after work so I went to another shop closer to my job that was open later. When taking it out I was told the jewelry they used was not only fake but that when they put the new jewelry in they bent it when putting it in. He said I was lucky that I even had this piercing for so long. It’s ridiculous that I spent close to $100 for a piercing that wasn’t done right.

Fantastic experience: Came in to get my septum done and had an appointment with Tiffany. I’ve had it done two other times in years past. But damn I wish every experience was as good as this one! Tiffany took the time to make sure the placement was perfect, seeing if she might be able to use previous holes all while continuing to check in with me. She was so calming and really took care of me. I felt so safe and taken care of. I will be returning for all future piercings. The shops is very clean and well kept. The person who checked me in was so sweet and kind. I recommend this shop very very highly!!!

Fantastic experience: Best shop in Denver! I’ve had piercings and tattoos at many other shops in various cities and this is the only place I go to, and I live in Seattle! Today I had the pleasure of getting 3 new piercings from the very talented and skilled Blake, who I’ve already had multiple piercings from. She is fantastic at communicating everything that’s happening through the entire process, and has always made me feel comfortable from start to finish. My 3rd set of lobe piercings was literally zero pain. You can tell she truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. Before meeting with Blake, I got a tattoo touched up by Liz. Every time I have work done by her, she has me laughing and smiling. I’m always surprised at how fast each appointment goes as the great music, conversation, and gentle touch, make the time fly by. Becky helped me pick out some fun new jewelry for my piercings today and helped me narrow down the overwhelming amount of options. This place has some of the most unique jewelry I’ve ever seen in a shop, and the selection is bar none. Becky is always fantastic with listening to what I’m looking for and helping me narrow it down to options that fit my taste and budget. It’s been a few years since I’ve worked with Tim, but he still needs a mention as he does fantastic work! I have 2 tattoos that are in areas that typically fade and fall out, and was educated about that prior to work starting. Even with that knowledge, after 1 touch up, and years later, the color is still fairly vibrant and fall out has been minimal. I can’t say that would have been the case with other artists I’ve worked with prior to Tim. Bottom line, Bound By Design is THE place to go to in Denver. I only get piercings and (most) tattoos here, and make the trip from Seattle every time. Blake, Liz, Becky and Tim are FANTASTIC!

Negative experience: For someone who doesn't get pierced often, I get nervous about ever getting pierced, and this place made me feel rushed and a bit unwelcomed. Not to mention every piece of jewelry is so expensive to get pierced with. And now I feel like I wasted money because I'm not fond of the piercing and I felt like they didn't talk me through it empathetically enough. They sped through information, it was overwhelming. So now I'm going to let it heal and probably re-pierced again somewhere else. I also accidentally tipped on the whole bill rather than just the services and they didn't even correct me or say anything about it which costed way more of a fortune. I felt rushed by the piercer, as well as the welcome desk. Rush is for lack of a better term, just not really cared for. There just wasn't much passion or empathy in this place.

Fantastic experience: I am such a creature of habit, so once I found @boundbydesign , I just can't find the same feel. I am from Houston and I always wait to get a piercing or change out my jewelry when I come back.The staff is always so kind, passionate and helpful! And the space itself is my favorite vibe I crave every time I come to Denver! Thank you Maya and Alessandra for another awesome experience!

Negative experience: I have gone to this shop for ear stretching and to buy jewelry a handful of times. The last time I went in for stretching, it took the piercers three attempts to insert the jewelry into my ear. This process was very painful and a few weeks later, they still weren’t starting to heal. So I sized my ears down and went back in to get some new jewelry in a smaller size, so my ears could have a chance to heal. Both the woman behind the counter, and I, didn’t realize that the glass plugs I had chosen were cracked. I attempted to come back in to exchange them for something else less than 5 minutes later, and was told that no refunds could be issued and no exchanges were accepted for jewelry that has left the shop. The policies make sense when you explain them, but I still was left with the short end of the stick having spent $40 for some broken glass jewelry. This place sucks majorly. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy, nor would I dare to return even if you paid me.

Fantastic experience: I have been in multiple times looking for new jewelry and I have to say Becky has always been super knowledgeable and helpful when selecting the perfect piece/size within my price range. Plus she plays killer music. Be back soon!

Fantastic experience: Maya is literally the piercing whisperer. I had my nose pierced somewhere else and for months it was irritated and wouldn’t fully heal. She changed my jewelry and showed me how to massage clean it and it has been healing beautifully this week. So so happy and will be coming back to her for any more piercings. She was so sweet and patient with me answering every question I had. I highly recommend Maya.

Fantastic experience: Went there this morning, 10/1, to get my nipple adjusted because it was” nesting “ - sinking in. Maya was very personable and kind and knew her stuff! She took care of me with ease and I didn’t have that sinking feeling in my stomach when I left. Maya is the best!!

Negative experience: I am only giving this place 2 stars, not one because the piercers I have seen have been incredibly kind, informative, and accommodating. I would give 5 stars if the front desk woman with long black hair wasn’t consistently rude, condescending, abrasive, and flat out bad at her job. I have been a repeat customer here for years as their piercers are very reputable and I usually trust the services they provide. Mind you, I literally created a Yelp account to leave this as my first review because I am so sick and tired from being treated like a nuisance/inconvenience every time I walk through the door. Yes, even for appointments I have scheduled weeks in advance. I have never karened out before but I know I am not the only one who has dealt with this, in fact my circle of friends and acquaintances I have recommended go here have had a very similar experience. This is not a bad day for her, it is just how she acts, and as someone who works customer service, it is unacceptable. I am a heavily pierced person, and this last visit was my final straw. I had quite literally called weeks in advance to confirm I was booking the correct service, and I knew it was her when she picked up the phone due to her attitude and trying to make me sound like an idiot over the phone when I was simply trying to make her and her piercers job easier. When the date of my appointment came, and I explained what I wanted (retainers for my piercings due to medical reasons) she literally scoffed and ROLLED HER EYES at me. When I explained that she herself had confirmed this with me over the phone prior, she responded with “whatever.” She then tried to explain that my piercings wouldn’t close and I didn’t need retainers for most of them. Flash forward to today, less than a week later and lo and behold every piercing without a retainer has closed. I am angry about this to say the least, as I shouldn’t have trusted her and have spent years working on healing and getting my piercing set up just the way I wanted it. She does not have her customers best interest at heart. I have given her the benefit of the doubt for years, but this really was the nail in the coffin. DO BETTER.

Fantastic experience: I love that they have online bios for all their artists. After researching a few highly-recommended piercing shops, I brought my 7 year old here to Candice to get her ears pierced. The young woman at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The studio was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. They had an impressive selection of available starter earrings for only $20, and a good number of additional options at varied prices. My daughter picked out a stunning pair of purple synthetic opal earrings (they also had blue and pink) which were one of the baseline $20 options. A note to any parents who bring their child in: a physical, original, full-size, certified birth certificate is required for all minors. This was my first time going to a piercing studio and I did not realize this; initially we went in with a picture of my daughter's birth certificate and were told (very nicely) that it was insufficient as per the Colorado Department of Public Health state law. At first I was somewhat frustrated that the website only said, "The child’s birth certificate is required", and did not specify that it had to be a physical, original, full-size, certified birth certificate. In retrospect I understand why this is the case and I should have assumed that it would be, but adding a few more words to the website would have saved us some driving time and not tied up an appointment slot for Candice. They very kindly did not charge us a missed appointment fee. Luckily Candice had an open appointment later that evening, so 2.5 hours later we were back with my daughter's original birth certificate and it was go time. Candice was wonderful. She is fun, friendly, approachable, and professional all at once. She talked directly to my daughter about how the process would go, treating her with kindness, dignity, and respect. Candice let her know that we would only move forward if and when she was ready, because it's her body and she is in control. Candice had my daughter (and me) check and approve the markings before the procedure, and she let us know that she was willing to remark as many times as we wanted until we felt the positions were perfect. Throughout the process Candice had us chuckling and relaxed, and the piercing went very smoothly. There really is no substitute for an awesome personality and 18 years of experience. My 10 year old wants a cartilage piercing someday, and should that ever come to pass, we will 100% be right back here with Candice. Couldn't have been more pleased.

Fantastic experience: Went this Saturday August 17th , and finally got my P.A. piercing done. Patrick was my piercer and man he made it a great experience, I was super nervous, but he really made me feel at ease when I realized how professional and knowledgeable this guy was, he took the time to explain everything about the piercing and how the process would be done. He also explained after care , and everything I needed to do for a healthy healing process. I was a bit concerned about the pain of the piercing, he explained to me that it’s so fast you hardly feel it , and he was absolutely right, it was so fast that before I knew it , he was done!! I would highly recommend that anyone that loves piercings to put your trust in Patrick , He is very knowledgeable and professional, he opens the needles and jewelry right in front of you so you know everything is clean and disinfected. I’m on day two so far , and everything is going well , and I am very pleased with my piercing. Thank you Patrick for taking the time and effort to make my experience go as smooth as it did.

Fantastic experience: My first experience with the piercers at Bound By Design was back in February for a nostril piercing with Candace (my fiancee came with me and had hers done, too). Candace was very personable, educational (letting us know each step of the way what was going to happen), clean, and gentle. We came back in June to get shorter backs put in and my fiancee ended up getting a hoop instead. Patrick happened to be the piercer for her and he was also incredible! My fiancee tried a couple different rings before deciding. Patrick's patience, attention to detail, knowledge, and care was impressive. Fast forward to July…I had a bad accident with my navel ring that caused a lot of blood and quite a bit of pain. Patrick was the first person i thought of to help me. I booked an appointment with him as soon as i could. He was so great! He took care of me and it was painless. I have a new ring and it's healing really well (only 4 days later). THANK YOU, PATRICK!

Fantastic experience: The first time I visited Bound by Design was about 26 years ago for a piercing. Then later on I had a tattoo or two done by artists there. I haven’t been back in a while, but my daughter and I just had some piercings done. We came back to ensure that our jewelry was secure and fitting properly. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are so accommodating and knowledgeable. They have such a great selection of jewelry from which to choose. It certainly is a one stop shot for all of your piercing and tattoo needs! The fact that they’re right in our neighborhood also is even more reason to frequent on a more consistent basis!

Fantastic experience: Tiffany is just the best! I drove from the Springs to get pierced by her. There is no one else I’ll ever go to. She was so sweet, helpful and SO funny! I went in for my nose piercing and we talked about placement and different options to getting my nose pierced. I loved the experience so much I went back for a third piercing AND took my 10 yrs to get her first piercing. The second time I went was just as good, if not better. Tiff helped my daughter feel relaxed. When it came to get poked, Tiff made it fun and fast for my daughter. Would and have recommended this shop to everyone. It’s a drive to go but totally worth it. Fantastic experience: Today my mom and I decided to get another piercing! I always look at reviews before visiting a new place and everything I read was accurate. We walked in and sure enough both ladies there were very helpful. We were lucky enough to have Candace do our piercings. Fantastic experience: Patrick is THE person to go to for piercings, mods, etc in Colorado. Extremely professional with an excellent bedside manner. Makes you feel very comfortable and explains every step of the process along the way. His sanitization and safety precautions are top notch probably because he helped the city determine what they should be. Cant recommend him and his team enough.

Fantastic experience: tldr: You will not regret a piercing from Master Piercer, Candace. I dare you to find a more talented body architect in the 303! Piercing, don't look any further. Candace is your girl! Candace is a world class piercing artist and your body will thank you for choosing her. I took my 15 y/o daughter in to get her ears pierced for the very first time. My little Valkyrie didn't even wince when the first needle impaled her left ear. Candace warned that the second usually hurts more. As Candace plunged her needle through the right ear, my kid said she barely felt anything. If skill and charm aren't traits you value in people, this might not be the shop for you. For everyone else, you've found your body art home. I went back for saline and Candace swapped my 6 gauge segmented surgical stainless steel loops with 4 gauge titanium clickers. Thanks to gravity and Candace's hands, they are a perfect fit! I haven't put their tattoo artists to the test just yet, but I can't wait! Edited to add that my kid is deathly afraid of needles and the thought of them will make her gag.

Fantastic experience: STUNNING SHOP I once traveled from Iowa back to Denver to get a more "sensitive" set of piercings here. I do not go anywhere else for a reason!! I took my gym bestie here for her first nose piercing to celebrate her 21st birthday. Friendly and knowledgeable staff is what makes or breaks any shop. And I've been here at least a handful of times and I love coming here just to see the artwork on display. Everyone has art, this place should charge an entrance fee, some of this should really be in a contemporary art museum.

Negative experience: I went today to get my septum pierced and had an extremely lovely experience with the entire process all the way up until I left the studio. Upon being charged for my services and jewelry of which I paid almost $300 for and tipped generously, I left the studio pleased and happy. I was followed up by a call that told me that they forgot to charge me another $95 for a hoop they replaced in my ear. I work in the fine jewelry industry selling almost exclusively 14k solid gold- so when I was told they forgot to charge me for the item- I was very taken aback seeing as it was their mistake. Nonetheless, I happily complied to pay it back (even though I thought this was tacky and unfortunate customer service that they had to follow up with a request for more money at THEIR forgotten charge after I left the studio ) - at the time I was driving so I shared I would call back at a different time to pay it. In the meantime I realized I also paid for a saline solution I was never given at the end of the process. I was called back over 5 different times- one of the voicemails detailing that they would file a police report for stolen items if I didn’t pay - again, mind you, this was their mistake? In between phone calls with family about a family emergency - I tried to call back not once, but twice to pay, both of which calls were never answered? I am appalled that a company with such high volume had to stalk down a customer to pay $95 after their multiple mistakes in the checkout process and then threaten to file a police report?!! The entire scenario is unfortunate. I have misquoted and/or mischarged people a number of times while selling jewelry myself and would never berate a customer for a company mistake. Lo and behold, the $95 has been paid but I am so disappointed in the threat of “theft” and the unprofessional mistake blamed entirely on a high paying customer.

Fantastic experience: Workers were all really funny and they made my first piercing experience less daunting. All of my piercings are really well done and straight/even. Candance was so amazing and I will absolutely come back to get more piercings done!!!
