Fantastic experience: Had a phenomenal experience with Mieke getting both my thighs tatted up! They took amazing care of me during both Tats! Had such a good time! I promise I will come back for both more tats and for more Peircings! Quick update to this one since I did indeed go back! Rochelle is awesome she Gave me great advice for my Peircings and also did a fantastic job of repircing my first up to 6g stretchers! So happy with them and I'm so excited to get more done!

Fantastic experience: Got a double lip piercing yesterday by guest Lynn Loheide, had a great experience as usual! Whether being pierced by Eden or a guest (Haven't been pierced by Rochelle yet, but I've had lovely convos with her!), I always feel confident trusting the expertise of them all when it comes to hygiene, placement and aftercare info. Got some beautiful opals in my labret's so I feel very fancy! Great suggestion by Lynn to go with the rest of my very blue set up! Fantastic experience: Super sweet piercer Eden, careful about anatomy and extremely sanitary. Gave warning about anything they were doing and asked for permission before any touching etc. Pricey compared to other piercers, but absolutely worth it and makes sense due to precautions others do not take. If you have any sort of sensory issues, I recommend Eden and absolution as a whole.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Absolution to get tattoos from Emma (Mckie Tattoo) for a couple of years and yesterday went in to get my septum pierced. The studio is so gorgeous in the Arts Centre of Christchurch, the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I've always felt so welcome in there! Emma always makes sure placement and size are spot on and is a great yarn. She's also obviously incredibly skilled - her flash are amazing, but I've asked her to do a few photorealism pieces of a cicada and basket fungus and the lines and shading are incredibly detailed. My cicada is a couple years old and looks almost as fresh as when I got it. I also have just the cutest witchy little kitty on my arm that she designed and tattooed that I always get so many compliments on. My septum was done by Eden, who has an incredibly chill but deeply competent vibe - everything was so smooth, he answered all my questions and walked me through what he was doing at every step. This place is committed to BEST practice and it shows. He definitely took every edge off any of my lingering nervousness and I really appreciated it. Thanks Absolution team, I'll defo be back!

He figured out how to accommodate my ear geometry and made the piercing process as smooth and painless as possible. I got a armband designed with Naith that I'm looking forward to getting, and 4 ear piercings done by Eden on the spot which was really cool. Yes this place is a higher price tag but you feel it in the quality of art, service, and products making it worth it. Absolution - I'll definately be coming back!

They allow longer for appointments to make sure they have a proper consultation and just do everything right. They’ll give honest recommendations to make sure that everything has the best chance to heal and then keep in touch with you for downsizing, etc. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I came to Absolution to have a second earlobe piercing (originally done at another studio and since closed up) redone. Eden was phenomenal from start to finish. I especially appreciated the detailed monologue he provided as he prepped my ears, e.g. "now I'm sterilizing them, now I'm marking them, now you'll feel pressure but no pain, now take a breath and there will be a small pinch". I knew what was coming every step of the way and it made the process less anxiety inducing and less painful. I left thinking "if it's that easy, I should get more piercings!" He also was able to rectify an issue I'd had when the piercing was originally done by another studio, and adjusted the exit hole on my left side to make sure it would heal well and be easy to swap jewelry later. The space is extremely clean, all care was taken to ensure the process was done safely. I was also impressed by how thorough they were about providing instruction on cleaning and healing, and love that they bring you back in to check on the healing process so that you feel like you have a trusted advisor for the duration of the piercing and healing process. Genuinely could not give higher marks, if I get more piercings done they will be done here.

Fantastic experience: I came here for advice on my irritated nose piercing ( I changed my stud to a hoop too soon) and she listened very carefully. The only option was to change it back to a stud as it was massively irritated, which hurt like b but she helped me through it and was very empathetic about it. Such a sweet woman! Fantastic experience: I've gotten 3 different piercings here now from Eden, Rochelle, and guest piercer Lynn Loheide. Every time the staff were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and I have never had any issues with my piercings or jewellery from Absolution. The quality of the jewellery materials and attention to safety and cleanliness from all the staff really puts me at ease here And as an added bonus, the studio is also just ridiculously pretty. Staff have set aside jewellery for me in the past, and also mentioned being able to order specific items in on behalf of customers when they do their jewellery ordering, so I'd reccommend talking to someone ahead of time if you have a very specific piece of jewellery in mind.

It was her second try round (first one was at a different place and a few years earlier!) and the first time was a rough experience. I got a re-piercing from a decade ago and had some concerns about this but Rochelle was able to answer all of my questions, ensured I was comfortable, and asked for consent throughout the process. The after-care of Absolution is great and they will follow up with any healing concerns. I highly recommend Absolution for piercings!

Fantastic experience: I was able to get an appointment the same day I booked online. Unfortunately as the rook is anatomy dependent Rochelle recommended I did not proceed in either ear, instead we did a faux rook. Rochelle and Josh made me feel welcome and the longest wait was after Josh and I selected the jewellery to be sterilised by Rochelle. She explained piercing aftercare, answered all questions and the standard of hygiene is higher than what you would get piercing at a chemist (surgical sterile gloves, painting area with iodine). I will definitely go here for future piercings.

From the moment I walked in I was made to feel welcome by their friendly team who helped me picked out some cute jewellery. Rochelle was great and explained the procedure and after-care very well. Harry was our tattoo artist. He looked after us really well and did a fantastic job on each of our different designs. Communication was excellent throughout. We were given various options for sizing, colour, etc. and he took the time to make sure each of us was happy before he began. Harry was friendly and personable, checked in with us regularly and shared a bit about himself and background, which we appreciated. The environment at Absolution is edgy and professional and quite spacious too. Overall we had a great experience and if we ever decide to get any more tattoos in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to return to Absolution.

He use the hand poked tattoo method which is most precise and less painful for tattoo on fingers , that need a lot of patience and time than machine . Fantastic experience: I have had multiple piercings and a tattoo done by Absolution and highly recommend. They are super knowledgeable and have excellent hygiene and are just great people. I always feel welcome whenever I visit. They have great advice and wonderful follow up. I'll be back again.

Fantastic experience: Omg I cannot speak highly enough about this place: the loveliest people who really care about giving you advice on shape and structure for different piercings. They use super high quality titanium for their piercings - which is why they’re pricier than other places. Also - since I don’t live around here - they recommended another place to go to for after care that also used the same titanium and has the same high standards. They followed super high standards with handwashing and sanitation - so everything was very clean. So thankful for their time and patience and quality advice - when I wasn’t sure about where I wanted the placement the piercer gave me advice and also assurance because she said she wouldn’t pierce it in a place that wouldn’t look good (which saves you from your impulsive self, at the end of the day!). 11/10 I got two ear piercings done on my conch and then flat.

Most recently a double conch which Rochelle helped me pick out based on my current piercings and anatomy. Such a chill, welcoming environment with the most friendly staff. I will never go anywhere else for piercings again!
