Fantastic experience: Most of my tattoos have been done here and the studio is always clean and all the artists are friendly and welcoming. I am multiple sessions into a bodysuit project with the amazing Deryn Twelve. I would recommend her work as it is incredible and detailed, she always checks to see if you are comfortable or need a break. She puts real care and attention into planning big projects and small ones too, whether it is custom or flash, you can be confident that your tattoos will be the very best. I would recommend this studio and artist to everyone as every artist is talented and friendly, the work speaks for itself. Check them out on Instagram, you'll be glad you did.

Fantastic experience: Rosa was amazing at making me feel comfortable and safe during the entire experience, always checking if i needed a break and letting me know pain may increase during the tattoo when reaching certain parts of the body. Allowed me to take as many breaks as i needed, made good conversation throughout the tattoo. Also advised me to get numbing cream for later tattoos as i tend not to be the best sitter on certain parts of the body and for longer sessions, since this my experience with tattoos has improved massively and made it more comfortable than ever, expertise and a calming but fun tattoo artist all wrapped into one, could not recommend enough

Fantastic experience: I've had several tattoos by Rosa at several studios she has worked at and some from the early stages of her career as a tattoo artist. Rosa is so lovely and has really taken on board my ideas, ensuring that I'm happy with them. I've had a tattoo in commemoration of my mum and Rosa really captured what I wanted. My most recent tattoo (pictured) is beautiful and Rosa took time to ensure I was comfortable, applying numbing cream for the last 45 mins when it was getting painful. Rosa is always lovely to talk to and I feel safe in her hands when getting tattooed! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Over the moon I went to see Rosa about 5 months ago originally for a tattoo I had in mind it’s absolutely perfect and from that moment on I’m hooked been back a further 4 times to have a large piece on my ribs and 2 arm tattoos. From the moment I contacted Rosa everything was effortless she answered every question with honesty and clarity, I felt so comfortable in Rosa’s company and she was constantly checking I was ok we spoke about our life’s friends and family and I feel like she’s not just my tattooist she’s now a friend ❤️ I even just last week took my mum for her first ever tattoo at the age of 61 and she’s also very happy with her new tattoo and reckon she will be adding more anytime soon. Fantastic experience: I've had a few sessions with Rosa Red now on my mandala/geometric themed arm sleeve and the work so far is nothing short of stunning! I love the attention to detail and care taken from Rosa on every section of the sleeve to make each bit so unique! I also love that I can either go in with a detailed plan of what I'm visioning or we can bounce ideas back and forth to get something that works with the overall theme! Can't wait to get it all shaded in! Would highly recommend Rosa Red to anyone looking for either a smaller/one time piece or a larger, multiple session project!

Fantastic experience: I have been tattooed by Rosa Red here, it is such an amazing studio. Everything was clean, tidy and felt welcoming. It was a great experience. Rosa was amazing from the get go, all my tattoos by her have healed really well and the black has remained solid black. Both me and my partner have tattoos by her, including leg, calf, knee, knee ditch, sternum, etc. Throughout Rosa constantly checked in on me, asked if I needed a break to stretch my legs, go to the toilet, have a drink etc. Most of my tattoos are in really sensitive or painful areas, and she has always made me feel listened to and has allowed me to have a plus one where I asked for one. I have requested to use numbing cream whereas my partner chose to opt out, this is an option she was happy to discuss with us when we enquired by direct message to her account. Rosa has always been transparent about her pricing and how many sessions I would need, particularly with big pieces that require alot of line work or black out. She is a speedy replier too! Would defo recommend going to Rosa, she is friendly and welcoming and her quality of tattoos is amazing for the price I pay.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been seeing Rosa at Tenacious for ages now. She has done some truly amazing work for me and I honestly trust her so much! We always have the nicest chats and I feel so comfortable. Rosa always manages to bring my visions to life and does so beautifully. The studio itself is also so gorgeous - beautifully decorated and super comfortable.

Fantastic experience: Went for my first tattoo (in a very long time) with Rosa Red. She was absolutely brilliant and I love how it's turned out, I can't stop looking at it! It's like she knew exactly what I wanted without me really having to say much. She instantly made me feel at ease, the room was spotlessly clean and everyone was so friendly. Would 100% return Thanks so much!

Negative experience: I recently had my first professional tattoo done here by Rosa Red, and I had such an awful experience that I will not be returning here, nor would I recommend anyone else to. The first major grievance I had, was with payment and the lack of clarity regarding the pricing. Prior to the booking, I had asked for clarification on how much the tattoo would be, after providing an illustration and rough size expectation. I had been given a ₤200 quote, and as I had to save up for this, I asked for clarification on if this would be a fixed quote or rough quote, and she replied with "yes", alongside her estimate of how long it would take. At the time I assumed she meant that it would be a fixed quote, but I realize now that the vague language may have been intentional. During the appointment she had mentioned that she would not be able to finish the tattoo in one session, but did not disclose how much another session would cost, nor if it would cost more until I had to ask for further clarification after the session. After asking for further clarification, she didn't provide me with clear and explicit information, instead opting to inform me that I could "pay now, then pay the rest later", which I had to once again follow up for clarification. After asking for clarification once again, she informed me then, that I would have to pay the same price for that session, to finish the tattoo during another session, thus expecting me to pay double the original price I was quoted, without making it clear to me prior. The other main grievance I had was with my treatment. I felt like I was being treated like a canvas to earn money from, rather than a person. I decided to get a womb tattoo, which is a very sensitive spot, and throughout the session I was in immense levels of pain, which I even verbalized as a 9/10 when my friend asked me how I was doing, and yet Rosa did nothing but periodically ask if I wanted a break. I understand that not every tattoo studio provides numbing cream, but I was not made aware of how painful it would be, nor was I recommended to use numbing cream, or split the sessions in to multiple ones for my sake. I was visibly, and audibly whimpering and shaking in pain, and it felt like my comfort was not of any concern. Additionally, I had been told to stop talking to my friend (which I was doing as a distraction), as it makes would make it harder to get clean lines. Although I understood that, the way it was delivered, and the disregard for my comfort, made me feel as though I was merely a canvas to work on, rather than being treated like a person.

Fantastic experience: First time here and had some work done by Annie, she did a new piece and also some touch up on a previous piece and i’m very happy with the results ! Annie was very meticulous with the stencil and also very light handed which made for a very easy to sit through and comfortable tattoo without compromising on quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good studio in sheffield ! 10/10

Fantastic experience: I went to get a tattoo from the lovely Jess (senseoftheterrific) last weekend and she did an absolutely incredible job! I felt super comfortable and safe the whole time, I’m a really quiet person and I struggle with social anxiety so I was a little worried about my session but I never once felt uncomfortable or anxious. Jess did regular check ins with me throughout to make sure I was okay but honestly the tattoo was an absolute breeze and I think so much of that was due to her skill and steady hand. Everyone there was super lovely, it had such a cosy and friendly vibe! The interior is also really pretty, everything is really clean and professional and organised. As soon as I walked in the door I felt welcomed by everyone there. Definitely the best tattoo studio I have ever been to and I 100% will be coming back for more one day!

Fantastic experience: Jess, Senseoftheterrific, did my first ever tattoo and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The welcome was warm, the shop clean and tidy, and Jess was so nice throughout the whole process. She created and tweaked the design (of my cat with tea and biscuits). A year on and it still looks incredible! I can't wait to get my other thigh done by her in the future.

Fantastic experience: I've been tattooed by multiple artists at Tenacious Tattoo over many visits and I thoroughly recommend the studio. It's clean and professional, as you'd expect. The layout of smaller rooms means you can have a more private, quiet session if that's what you prefer.

The atmosphere at Tenacious has always been really welcoming and all the other tattooists have also been really friendly. They have a variety of artists so make sure to check them all out for your next tattoo.

It’s a lovely studio, a safe, comfortable, and clean space with kind and understanding people! Even though I don’t live in Sheffield right now, I’d travel 3 hours back up north to get tattooed by anyone who works here with no question. Just need money! 10/10 would always recommend.

The whole process is so smooth and everyone is very friendly - its worth the journey to get there. The designs are always great, and I feel so welcome and comfortable when I come here. There is a lot of talent - I would highly recommend coming here.

The service he has provided is amazing, I have multiple tattoos at other studios prior to visiting Tenacious but will not be changing now. The artwork is always amazing, Rurik is bubbly and always up for a good chat. I brought my partner to him for her first tattoo and she was just as delighted with the end result and the overall experience. Highly recommend this studio.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting Tenacious Tattoos for several years now and have had the pleasure of being tattooed by 3 of their wonderful resident artists; all of whom are warm, welcoming, professional and just outright lovely! I'm not local to Sheffield, and I make special trips from Leicester just to visit these artists and the studio. I will recommend Tenacious Tattoos to everyone, and I would gladly sit and get tattooed for hours and hours here! Rurik did an ornamental fineline sternum tattoo for me and was nothing but professional. He made me feel so so comfortable throughout the whole tattoo. Given the area that he was tattooing, it was the little things that really added to this appointment: making sure we were in a seperate room for privacy, popping a space heater on so I didn't get cold etc. Even though this was my first time getting a tattoo by Rurik, I felt right at home and we got on like two houses on fire! The end piece is so beautiful and I'd trust him with any intricate fineline tattoo on any part of my body! I'm very excited to add even more to my sternum and chest in the future! Toby has done numerous colour pieces on both my arms and my legs over the years and every time I visit him it is such a treat! He understands the crazy ideas that we discuss and nothing is every too much or too outlandish for him!!! I get so many compliments on how well the colour has held up on all of the tattoos he has done - the truly look brand new even years later! I love yapping with Toby about all things anime, mecha and videogame related and I feel very at home during all of our appointments. Jess has done two pieces on my legs for me in her gorgeous dotwork style. Jess is so sweet, and like all the other artists, we share similar interests which make the appointments fly by as we yap throughout! Jess' work is so beautiful and she truly puts so much care and effort into capturing the design and ideas you provide. I am lucky enough to have a tattoo of my childhood bear that Jess designed, and she nailed the brief perfectly and truly captured how special the piece is too me. Her work is also a pleasure to heal, and looks stunning years later!

After all the tine having it, I still absolutely love the design and still looks good on the skin. Rurik was gentle and the sessions were easy to get through, can't recommend him enough. All are wonderful people, very professional, and insanely talented artists <3 Any would be great choices for first tattoos as well as regulars, they all have incredible flash work as well as being super accommodating for custom work you might want doing. The shop itself is clean and tidy, everyone I’ve met there is super nice, and the atmosphere is always friendly with lots of laughs and music playing. It’s also very accepting and safe for any LGBTQ+ customers (with a section to choose your preferred pronouns on the consent form) ️‍️‍⚧️ Honestly couldn’t recommend Tenacious enough! <3

I have 2 tattoos by Rurik Seven and he is super professional and talented and made me feel very at ease. I have more tattoos planned with him and I’d recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I've been getting ink at Tenacious tattoo for the past 7 years. I have both sleeves done, one is full dotwork by the fantastic @deryntwelvetattoo, the other sleeve is a combination of dotwork and more freehand work done by the amazing @rurik_seven. Both artists are highly skilled, always ensure you feel comfortable throughout and without fail they always check that you are happy with their design/work at each stage of the process. Critically for me, the advice they give has always ensured that the end result exceeds expectations. My most recent work has been done by @rurik_seven (Joe) and it was My first ink on my hand. Obviously I was slightly more nervous about taking this step but had thought long and hard about it and as ever Joe worked with me all the way to ensure I was totally happy with the result. He was also very aware of the potential high levels of pain, but I have to say it was great, and not as painful as I had anticipated. As ever, GREAT JOB JOE I would highly recommend you check these guys out if you're thinking about getting some fresh ink.

Fantastic experience: I went to Tenacious Tattoo for my first ever tattoo which was done by Deryn, who was recommended to me by my husband. What could have been a nerve-wracking experience was absolutely fantastic: Deryn is friendly, really easy to chat to and designed me my absolute dream first tattoo based on my favourite song. I am about 2-3 weeks away from having had it done and it's healed like a dream which is again testimony to Deryn's skill as a tattoo artist. The attached picture is my healed tattoo. Would 100% recommend Deryn and this shop to anybody!

She told me every step of the way what she was doing and I couldn't have felt like I was in safer hands. 10/10 experience

Fantastic experience: Jess made my appointment far-and-away my favorite tattoo appointment I've ever had, and it was around 6 hours of tattooing. All the artists in that day were so kind when they'd peak their heads in. Public transit options to the shop were easy as well. Pricing for my session was transparent from the get-go. If it weren't for the fact that my commute to the shop was a 14 hour ordeal, I'd be back next month. Lovely experience from start to finish. You're in good hands at Tenacious.

Fantastic experience: Had 2 tattoos here now, and have had a great experience both times. They were done by different artists (Helen who was a guest artist and Jen who is a resident artist) Couldn't be happy with the quality of the tattoos and the cleanliness of the studio

Negative experience: Very poor work, this tattoo parlour did a football badge on my brother and the line work is terrible, the colour isn’t right and I just think it’s ridiculous for the price he paid.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly tattoo studio with warm vibes. They have several rooms and although my tattoo was done in a room with another person, the room was great. Painted with blue like the waves of the ocean made me feel very relaxed and the music they had was good too. It was very friendly an natural with the tattoists sometimes talking between them and then us, the clients. As an ADHD person sometimes some situations make me feel very uncomfortable, but this wasn't the case. Mark seems a very down to earth person and relaxed and made feel super confortable. Best tattoo experience!

Fantastic experience: fantastic studio. artists are all really talented and super lovely. covid measures are spot on so you feel very safe too. studio always very clean and well managed. i've had a few pieces done by various artists and recommended them to friends who have also been as impressed as i am. photo of my most recent tattoo done there (unfinished, based on a graffiti artist called phlegm with lots of work around sheffield. got his permission before getting it tattooed by jen @field_ink) would particularly recommend @field_ink and @runfastescape coz they've done my tattoos but all other artists seem lovely when ive met them and are all also super talented!!

Fantastic experience: Friendly tattoo studio with good vibes. Very sharp stairs, but have wheelchair accessible studio on ground floor. Mark is and remains good company and a good tattoo artist! Thank you so much for suffering me for 10 hrs, Mark. Each room has ~2 artists, so it's not overwhelming. And with a tattoo... you get what you pay for!

Fantastic experience: All the artists are super friendly and make you feel right at (a weird inky) home

Negative experience: Went in and spoke to a nice man, who took a photo of the tattoo I wanted covering up, said he would call me, never heard a thing. Phoned again three weeks later, left a message to call me back, still not heard a thing. Wouldn't bother, obviously don't want my money.

Fantastic experience: Absolute stunning artwork leaves this building every time you visit

Negative experience: I had been planning to go & have my tattoo done there a year or so back before they moved from Darnall but money issues delayed things. Unfortunately, but I can't be certain the artwork I had seen on there old site (possibly FB) which helped me decide where to have my design done was no longer there. I can only assume the artist who's name escapes me no longer works there. In fact I'm sure if I saw his name I would know it and he ain't there anymore. Real shame but I left it to late and now I can actually pay for the work I want I have had to start the searching for an artist who's got expertise in freehand, B&W, shading and can also help me with design all over again. I will keep checking Tenacious though because they do some fantastic work and I'm guessing have artists coming & going so maybe someones work will catch my eye and be the artist to help my ideas turn into actual art.
