Negative experience: Got some black work done, great artist very clean heal but i draw the line at basic communication. Tried booking touch ups almost impossible due to him being on holiday. Wanted to try 1-2years later for a better view of the place and i've just been ignored and left on seen. Disappointed due to it being a nice place.

Fantastic experience: Got tattooed by Mak twice here, super accommodating and understanding artist, never made me feel bad for being indecisive or for having way too many ideas. Super nice to bounce around ideas with. The studio has a cool atmosphere too, it does get a little crowded on weekends it seems, but it's not a big deal to me, personally.

Fantastic experience: I came to have a tattoo with Mak, one of this studio's incredibly talented and skilled artists to have my first tattoo back in January, it was a custom piece we worked on together since booking to cover scars and they were absolutely fantastic to work with and talk to about the design from beginning to end; they were super accommodating, kind and understanding about changes in the design I asked for making sure the result was exactly what I wanted and no less. They answered all questions and concerns I had about tattooing over scars and how this could effect the design, and I never once felt judged, only met with kindness and understanding. This meant the world and was immensely helpful in reducing my anxiety about getting my first large tattoo and it potentially going wrong and made the entire process so much more enjoyable and easier. They delivered a final piece I'll treasure for the rest of my life, I cannot recommend them enough!! (And I also cannot wait to come back for more!) :) Thank you Mak!

Negative experience: Ugnius is a fantastic tattoo artist but unfortunately I draw the line at not bothering to turn up to an appointment.Travelled nearly 2 hours for a touch up appointment only to find the shutters to be down on the studio. Received no contact beforehand to tell me if he couldn’t make the appointment, and I still haven’t even had any acknowledgement for the missed session.

Fantastic experience: My third sitting with Runa, and hopefully not the last! I was always drawn to her designs on instagram (@runastabz) which eventually lead to my first sitting. My third sitting was a cover-up on a small souvenir tattoo, which Runa designed upon my arrival. The geometric fox is now invisible! Every visit, Runa has been the most welcoming, calming and friendly artist you could wish for. Not to mention, plenty of conversation to make those lengthy sittings a little more entertaining. The studio itself is bright and clean, along with other welcoming artists that add to a good natured atmosphere. So, if you’re in doubt, look no further. Get it booked!

Fantastic experience: Went in on Friday for my first tattoo so nerves were pretty high at first. Makena was absolutely lovely and took me through everything I needed to know along with answering all my questions, and they did an incredible job coming up with a design from my ideas. The tattoo is perfect too - I'm so happy with it, the linework is so good and the entire time I felt that everything was done safely and really professionally. Fantastic experience: I had a blackout sleeve done by Ugnius and I’m really happy with it. The consistency and coverage is perfect and he’s a lovely guy. Don’t cheap out on blackouts, come and get it done properly here by an experienced blackout artist. The studio is very clean and the atmosphere is friendly. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Avid Ink, what can I say. I'm currently midway through a geometric style full sleeve with Ugnius. From the first contact it has been a pleasure to deal with Avid Ink. The studio is modern, comfortable, clean and easily accessible within the centre of Sheffield. Ugnius is an absolute master at what he does and I would recommend to anyone looking for this style of tattoo (although I've heard he's pretty handy at black outs too). The other artists are here are so lovely and I'm almost going to miss seeing them on a regular basis once my sleeve is finished!

Wonderfully affordable prices considering the quality and time taken for the tattoo. Studio is so cool and all staff are so talented and kind, they offered drinks because of the heat and everything. Fantastic experience: I came to Avid Ink for my first tattoo around a month and a half ago, and it was a great experience. The building is modern, but still cozy, and had a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite, and it really helped with my first-timer nerves! Makena did my tattoo, and they were lovely, they kept checking if I needed a break and did an incredible job on the artwork! I’ve just booked in for another tattoo with them, and I can’t wait. Fantastic experience: Doesn’t get back to emails this has been off an on for 3 months intermittently, I understand the email system changed I accepted that got back in contact again and heard nothing, I’m not a time waster, just been waiting like years for a response, wanted a tattoo for my birthday, it’s my birthday in a matter of days thanks avid ink I don’t give bad reviews but I’ve even tried emailing once a week it got that bad, Art work is great seen great reviews, But what about the dark side of not even getting booked in or getting a response, I’d still get a tattoo from here just sort out customer service on the booking side I came to get my tattoo back last year with an artist that took the time to do my tattoo finally, When I came here the studio wasn’t busy what was a plus. Since I am awkward in nature and quiet, they even waited for me to come as I was running late uginus and my artist, I was cold and uginus done everything in his power to make me feel comfortable and put the heating on until in left, Good music good service awesome tattoo artists, A year later I arrived back for more detailing on the same tattoo artist matiaartwork, and really I came again this studio was awesome and deserve a higher rating from me, Again I came and it was just awesome, everyone is friendly chilled out Come her this place is for cool kids, There’s so many tattoos I want, I’ll be back avid X

The shop is really chilled, everyone is really warm and welcoming and the music is great; everything from All Shall Perish to Kendrick! Ugnius is a fantastic blackout artist that took the time to check on me and perfect the overall piece and ensured I was happy with it before finishing up. His aftercare advice was spot on and I appreciated the Diet Coke during our break as it was heavy going during the session! Will definitely return and I suggest anyone looking for quality blackout work to look no further!

Fantastic experience: got a small tattoo from this establishment today and i couldn't be more happy. they fit me in for a quick session within just one day's notice and the junior artist Abby was so lovely throughout the process. We decided on the design on the spot (because it was a simple design) and although I am someone who's very indecisive with design and placement she was very supportive and patient throughout making sure I felt as comfortable as possible. The atmosphere and vibes in the studio was also very friendly and welcoming, everyone was so nice and I think I will most likely return for more tattoos in the future!
