Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend. Very professional place with tonnes of jewellery to offer and a really cool space inside. Helen did my rook, explained where it would sit and how it would look before doing it so I felt reassured and happy with it. Explained what she was doing before and as she pierced so I knew where I would feel pressure and what was happening, really communicative in such a friendly way. She made it a really great experience, minimal pain for a painful piercing and it looks fantastic. Definitely going back when I want anything done in the future. Thanks Helen!

Fantastic experience: I got two ear piercings (tragus and lobe) really good experience. A huge selection of pretty jewellery. The piercer was really friendly and experienced. You get a cute lollipop and sticker after the piercing which is really sweet. All the aftercare advice is also provided. Great!

Negative experience: Drove all way there for them to say can't have piercing as I had no ID. I rang up that morning querying the ear piercing process and they didn't even think to mention it. Not only a waste of time but a waste of paying for parking too when I was solely going to city centre for the shop. Then inside found them rather rude when they said no ID no piercing. I'm 20 fricking 7

Fantastic experience: Kim did my piercing this week. It was a brilliant experience. Kim is professional whilst also being really kind and caring. She took time to make sure the piercing matched the other lobe and chose a slightly different earring that matched my existing ones. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: A professional and friendly service in a beautiful studio. I had a lip piercing at ThouArt and was welcomed and kept completely informed of what was happening at each stage of the process. I had an initial with the initial piercing and this was rectified immediately at no extra cost. Very professional set up. Love it!

Negative experience: Went in for an eyebrow piercing a couple months ago and was pierced with a bar way too long for an eyebrow to the point the barbell was touching my eyelashes and i also think it was pierced too shallow. The piercer who did it claimed to had lots of experience doing them but am unsure now and when it was checked by someone higher up after was told it was perfect. I then went back 2 weeks later as it wasn’t healing good at all and was asked where i had it done as the bar was way too long. Ended up taking it out as it wouldn’t heal at all.

Negative experience: Went for a walk in, all was going well until the actual tattoo. Yeah tattoos hurt, everyone knows but this was far too much. The artist felt extremely aggressive on my forearm and i was bleeding far more than what is considered usual. I now have a bunch of bumpy scarring all over the tattoo from where he went too deep/aggressive. The quality of this tattoo was subpar to say the least which is highly frustrating as it was my first openly visible one with it being on my forearm. Another artist i visited at a different studio said she could instantly tell he has been too rough with the tattoo and in her words ‘damn he has been so mean to you there’. Wouldn’t recommend this place whatsoever, please people do research on studios before doing what i did and impulse choosing one and leaving with regret !!!

Negative experience: Very friendly staff but similar to other reviewers, pierced my conch with a long, thick nipple bar. Also forced a thicker gauge ring into an almost healed rook and they pierce helix's with rings so they heal at an angle and take longer to heal due to the rings movement. Management do not respond to concerned emails.

Fantastic experience: I love this shop so much. Every time I go in (which is a lot lately as I'm going through some stuff and piercings are therapy) I am greeted kindly, treated with utmost respect, and given knowledge and info about care for my piercings. Absolutely recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Had an old tattoo reworked today , my last tattoo from here healed perfect no issues no concerns amazing aftercare and a great consultation on what I wanted at the time with regards the size placement and expectations . Hence I've returned.

Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo done at Thou Art by Will, and my experience from start to finish was nothing less than stellar. I was very nervous for my first tattoo, but staff at reception were lovely and kind and made me feel comfortable from when I walked through the door. As for the tattooing experience, Will made sure I was comfy, reviewed the design with me and was more than happy to make changes to it and adjust the placement to make sure his work was just right. The tattoo itself? An absolute piece of art. Will took the design I brought in and made it his own, truly unique artwork with extra touches and gorgeous line work and shading. He was great to talk to and I knew straight away I could trust him. 10/10 experience, and I will absolutely be returning again.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been here in a while, went to thou art years ago for tattoos and piercing and it’s always been spot on. For the people leaving low reviews, do your research into the tattooist that work there and pick the right one and you’ll always have a good time. Terry is an amazing artist there and my best tattoo which is one of my first to get is my favourite and I regret not going to Thou Art for my others as they would be way better if Terry did it. Good conversation throughout the whole process, offered me cheap tattoo removal for some tattoos I didn’t like (free at one time too) and was friendly, all the staff was friendly and interested in the tattoos I had. They offer you a drink after, a slush which is great, the decor and design is amazing; and they have every piece of jewellery you could ask for alongside merch and other cool items. 100% go check out the shop even if it’s just for a look around, you won’t be disappointed.

Negative experience: Had to edit this review, because they pierced my conch (ear) with a barbell for a nipple piercing. I thought at the time it was large, and was told by a different piercing parlor I was lucky it had healed so well. The staff are lovely, and they were good for jewellery changes, but they've totally lost my trust

Fantastic experience: I went in for advice about whether a septum piercing would work with my anatomy. Helen was so helpful and reassuring about how I would be able to get one and how the piercers here are all experienced in doing so. I went ahead to get one, and L was an absolute dream. She was so reassuring, really helpful and kind. She explained every step and took photos for me to see how she adjusted the piercing to work for me. She’s also just generally really lovely! I left feeling really looked after and confident with the healing stage. I can’t wait to go back for the jewellery change. Couldn’t recommend them enough - genuinely the best piercing experience in Sheffield, especially compared to supposed ‘high end’ shops.

Fantastic experience: I came in 10 minutes before closing with a painful ear piercing, and the lady was incredibly kind. She really saved me. She removed it gently, made sure everything was okay, and didn’t even charge me. I’m so grateful. If I ever want a piercing again, I’ll definitely go back. Highly recommend!❤️

Fantastic experience: Got my nose pierced today but have previously had multiple ear piercings and my septum done at Thou Art aswell. Always really friendly and helpful workers/staff and I absolutely adore my piercer L, she is super professional and makes it go really smoothly! I now live in Sweden but I absolutely had to get pierced when I was visiting Sheffield!

Negative experience: Unfortunately not professional. Got my first 2 tattoos here - not satisfying at all. The artist seemed annoyed by me changing details about one tattoo in the process, you would expect empathy and patience. Should have stopped at this point. In the first very regular tattoo a line got completely out of place - although nice straight lines. In the second one he completely ignored my wishes of "just light shades, no outline" as it got a thick outline and very dark (we added some shades after to save it, but damage was already done). I asked for a refund and some extra money as the experience clearly ruined my whole trip and left me desperate and nervwrecked. They returned at least the money I had paid, no extra refund given. To be fair the owner offered laser reduction or to thicken all the lines to make it look nicer (with no refund at all) - not an option for me at this point. Artist didn't show any regrets, no apologies given, in contrast quite offensive. Owners and managers did apologise. Maybe just bad luck with this artist, but I couldn't recommend it - seems like they are good with piercings. All together just bad communication with the artist. I'll have to figure out a way to repair both of the tattoos I've received that day which is just not what you want.

Fantastic experience: Came to thou art for a jewellery change and dermal removal, which I was quite nervous about after having it for around 10 years. They were all so nice and made me feel really at ease, it went so much better than expected and I was aware of what was happening throughout. And the prices were super reasonable to top it off, there was no wait time, it couldn’t have gone any better, thank you so much!

Negative experience: I am extremely dissatisfied with the results. I asked for a specific design, but after a few months, they offered to do my initial design!! As you can see the results, what I asked for and what they did! Will not be going back. So disappointing!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a few piercings from thou art and every time the piercings have been great and healed very well. Had no issues at all with any of the jewellery (I can react badly to some metals). I recommended my friend get her new piercing there and it is also healing well too. The staff are super kind, very on point with cleanliness, ensured equipment was brand new and sterile and they were easy to have a laugh with and very knowledgeable. Always go there for my piercings and hopefully a tattoo soon too

Fantastic experience: Came in as a walk in for my nose pierced yesterday and was greeted with friendly staff. Helen did my piercing and she is a literal angel who has the most beautiful energy! She explained the whole process and made me feel so comfortable. I got a sticker for being brave and a goody bag which included sea salt help keep my piercing clean. Negative experience: Tattooist had to do four tattoos with the same simple phrase, and on mine (last one), managed to tattoo an ‘and’ symbol instead of an ‘a’, the attempt to rectify the error has left it looking messy, bolder and clearly incorrect. Before photo is before.

Fantastic experience: I cannot sing praises for this place enough. I went in after my nose piercing fell out, they explained the whole process so well (including the aftercare) made me feel so calm and even wiped my tears for me, avoiding smearing my makeup . Fantastic experience: Great experience here! Went in for a walk in appointment for my cartilage. I’ve had a lot of piercings at different places and this is by far my favourite! Lovely staff, the lady who pierced my ear was so chatty and friendly. Also got a free lolly and sticker, as well as some salt for cleaning my piercing! Very affordable, good quality jewellery. L was super professional and so friendly, she kept us so relaxed throughout the process and explained everything she was doing. She managed to essentially reopen an old piercing of my friend’s which meant she got some money back which was ace! 10/10 would let them stab me again.

Fantastic experience: They did me what was my first tattoo (or is it classed two tattoos as they are one both arms, Lol) and we are now a couple months down the line and they look great. Great staff and very friendly. Great job. Only thing to bear in mind is it’s cash only, or at least it was when I went so take cash or you’ll end up stood there looking like a plum with Card out to pay. Apologies for that

Fantastic experience: Terry was absolutely fantastic! I went in because my tunnel got cross threaded about 2 years ago and regrettably went to another shop as they couldn’t do it and made it worse. This man was amazing (and your rabbit), he managed to get this pesky tunnel out and coped with my stimming. He did it with ease and less pain as possible. Definitely going back to Terry. Negative experience: Had my tongue pierced by these years ago and had some replacement hoops in my 2 helix piercings and everything went fine. Needed my helix hoops replacing so went in. Asked for their recommendation as to what would be suitable and best and they pointed me to a cabinet. I saw 2 hoops with little skulls on and asked if these would be suitable and the guy behind reception said they would and sold me them at £40 each. Wasn't given a receipt. Last time they offered to fit them for me but nothing this time. Tried putting the hoops in and they were hell to put in. Really struggled and had to push and force them through. I've since had them measured and the hoops they sold me were 2mm when usually a helix is 1.2 to 1.6mm. I've been left in agony in my ear and I can't find any email address to contact tho art to feed this back to. I don't live near tho art and don't want to have to travel 1 hour to get this sorted. I'm really upset that I've been mis sold hoops that aren't suitable and I've been left in agony as a result. Picture attached is how swollen the hoops have left my ear.

Fantastic experience: I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel immediately at ease. The salon is impeccably clean and has a relaxing, modern vibe that adds to the overall comfort. The people here are truly a professionals. They took the time to explain the entire process, answered all my questions with patience, and provided detailed aftercare instructions. The procedure itself was quick and nearly painless.

Fantastic experience: i came here for a tattoo yesterday and i’m really happy!! i called in to see if they took walk ins as i had travelled to sheffield from quite a distance and i was leaving later that day. i went in to find it was cash only which neither me or my boyfriend had as we didn’t have our cards with us to withdraw money. the lady was lovely about it but we left and i accepted that i wouldn’t be able to get one. about five minutes later i got a phone call from Thou Art to find that as they knew i was leaving they were willing to take card payment as a one off! i went back and i was tattooed by a lovely lady of whom i didn’t get the name of (i’m so sorry!) who was really comforting as i was getting my second tattoo in quite a painful place so i was quite nervous. she was understanding in that i was quite specific with the font as originally the ‘L’s were bigger than i liked. we altered them together until i was 100% happy. she made me laugh and we spoke all throughout which really helped with the pain and my nerves. i am really happy with my tattoo which is healing nicely and i will be returning next time i’m in sheffield which will hopefully be soon! :))))

Fantastic experience: L saved my skin today when the ball on my fresh nostril piercing (pierced elsewhere) popped off, she was so gentle and explained it all and gave me all the options. So wonderful that I’ll be coming back for more piercings from L!

I've got nipples conch labret done here before and big credit to L who sorted out my painful botched conch piercing(done elsewhere) today FOR FREE. She was sooo kind and gentle, hopefully I am on mend now. Highly recommend! You even get free lolly after for being brave! I wasn't brave I screamed lol.

Fantastic experience: I had my rook pierced there yesterday by L. It was my second piercing at Thou Art, and again very positive experience! The staff is very professional, friendly and hygienic (L changed her gloves multiple times during my visit), and I love the vibe of the place! L explained everything that she was doing step by step and told me how I might be feeling. Can't recommend this place enough!!

Positive experience: Recently got another tattoo here while I do love it I feel its necessary to point out some things in the tattoo and the overall experience. When the tattoo was discussed I mentioned the changes I wanted to the design I made and even repeated this when it was being drawn but the artist would say he'd make those changes but didn't. In the end I still liked the design so got it and as I said I love it. My only issue with the tattoo now it's healed a bit I can see parts where the dotted lines are not spaced out well so some are way to close. As I said I do love my tattoo as it is a memorial piece for my pets but feel these things are worth pointing out.

Fantastic experience: I got my rook piercing done and my experience was amazing, I was actually a walk-in client and just around 20 minutes before their closing time, I was walked through everything nicely like the jewellery prices and also the whole piercing process. I anlso requested my industrials balls to be changed to little spikes, they showed me different ones and then did it no problem. Everything was super nice and quick and as soon as I get back to Sheffield I’m getting another piercing from them.
