Urban Jungle Tattoo

Fantastic experience: Found Urban Jungle through their fab Google reviews. After looking through the artists Insta pages, I decided to contact April Rose. Fab communication from start to finish. Arrived at Urban Jungle to be greated by the v friendly owner. April arrived and was lush. Uber friendly and smiley. Very particular with her placement and work. We're both very happy with our new tattoos! 100% recommended. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Booked in for a stick and poke tattoo with the wonderful Katy @ktj.ink insta. She was so lovely, made me feel very comfortable and we worked together on the design. It was such a lovely experience and I absolutely love the way the tattoo has come out it’s absolutely stunning ! The studio itself is very warm and welcoming, lovely positive vibe and I love the artwork Thank you for such a lovely experience xx

Negative experience: One of the worst studios I’ve ever been to. I’ve been tattooed by 2 artists here and my experience was equally bad. First red flag was while I was waiting I noticed the artists weren’t cleaning their stations down between clients or washing their hands. There is no sink in the main rooms where the artists work so a few of them used anti bacterial gel and a few of them simply didn’t bother using anything. The beds and armrests weren’t wrapped, beds weren’t even sprayed down between clients. One of the artists continuously would cough into their gloves and then continue working on their client. I watched an artist take their gloves off and cough into their hands and then get the cling film to wrap the tattoo, touch it all over with their hands and clothing and then putting it directly onto someone’s fresh tattoo… this is not ok. They would also be tattooing and picking up their phone with their bloody gloves and then putting it down. The contamination in this place is actually crazy. I’ve never seen such poor hygiene in a studio before. I work in a clinical environment where things have to be sterile so watching all of this made my skin crawl. Unfortunately I didn’t feel brave enough to walk away but luckily for me I didn’t get an infection! They also don’t give any aftercare and the whole vibe of the place is just off… AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Negative experience: Been hesitant to post this review since the begining of the year, but could not warn you of april enough, she has a habbit of disreguarding clients words and talking over them and changing deisgns without consult anyway, but the worst expereience for me was when she did my spine, shouted at me and my friend for so long before we even stsrted that i passed out and she still insisted i gave her all the money for the session, saying shed rebook me for free, but then jerked me around and ignored me for a month as i tried to rebook, only messaging me back when my friend told her she was being unprofessional, then it came to the actual tattooing process, she rushed through and all the lines have ended up falling out, then carved so deeply into my neck i bled cos she was rushing to go see someone after, i was in extreme pain and she kept snapping at me to sit still despite the fact she had my head balancing in the air with no support as she blatently carved into my skin. Editted response: i passed out because you were snapping and shouting for ages prior to the tattoo and was stood directly infront if a heater i had mentioned was making me feel light headed already. i was not under the influence? I came in perfectly fine until you gave me a panic attack! And my picture review speaks for itself that you didnt treat my tattoo with care at all! Not sure why you would blatently lie when we both were there for what happened but yeah ! Also wasnt in contact with your former partner at the point of this original review being posted! You just made me anxious so i was scared to be open with my experience until i had someone else encourage me to leave a review. You lack professionalism if you cant even be honest about how the session went ! Anyway i stand by the rest of the studio seems lovely + staff but april i couldnt recomend at all :3

Negative experience: studio is lovely but honestly the one resident working there named April isn’t very neurodivergent friendly! lack of communication and care for what the customers actually want not to mention she is quite snappy and rude, I've been tattooed by her once! and never again (for good reason) but have accompanied a friend and witnessed Aprils behaviour is naturally just rotten! i wasn’t going to write a review because i had no intention to ever get work done by her again but she refuses to take accountability and has pinned the blame on client even going as far as to lie.. if you're okay with having your design changed, being spoken over and completely disregarded sure book in with her! but otherwise i would avoid unless you're getting a flash piece because she has decent line work but not the right attitude for this environment where you’ll have work on you forever! serious lack of professionalism :/
