Fantastic experience: Boo is Amazing!

Negative experience: Years later I'm still fuming at the absolute horrible experience i had. Completely messed up my arm and "artist" ignored my design and he was making modifications on the spot and after i made a complaint Purple rose they refused touch up ,just ignored me, didn't even reply to me anymore. If you want a shop where if things go wrong you're on your own this is it. 0 accountability, if i had half a mind i would have sued.

Fantastic experience: I had my very personal tattoo today by Morag who is an incredible artist. This is my third tattoo by Morag. My first was in 2009, second 2012 and today, absolutely overjoyed. Thank you Morag❤️

Fantastic experience: Excellent. Went in and met Lewis who quoted and booked in. Took around 4-5 hours and the quality is impressive. It was a cover up and have been back to add further details and have a retouch. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Update: Recently had my second tattoo from Purple Rose, once again by Jeremy. This is the the most complex in style I've had so far. It was a piece I "designed" myself and Jeremy did his artist thing and made it look incredible and as before did not disappoint. So many people have commented and complimented my new piece, and as always a great experience with a great artist in a welcoming environment. Already planning the next! Original: I chose Purple Rose to get my second tattoo due to it being highly ranked online and from recommendation from a friend with much more ink than me. From the initial email to Tracy on reception, the communication was friendly and efficient. Within a week I had been recommended an artist based on the style chose (Jeremy) and was booked in and getting tattooed. On arrival the shop was clean, well presented and welcoming. Jeremy was great, very personable and put me at ease (this being my 2nd tattoo in 14 years!) He made sure the design, placement and size were exactly what I wanted before stencilling. During the tattoo I felt totally relaxed and in safe, professional hands. His aftercare advice was spot on and after keeping to it, it's healing exactly as it should. The whole experience was better than with my first tattoo (the first wasn't bad, this was just far better. It definitely won't be another 14 years before my next one and hope that Jeremy and Purple Rose will be there for the rest of my tattoo journey!

Fantastic experience: After doing some research, I found this gem of a place. I had my appointment for my first piercings (2 x lobes), I was made to feel comfortable from the start and the process was clearly explained throughout, with the piercing done by needle (not gun thankfully) in an extremely professional manner, with the hygiene elements being very carefully taken care of. All after care was nicely explained, without any unnecessary upselling either. Can't recommend enough!

Fantastic experience: Had my first tattoos done by Anthony Noble at Purple Rose. Very professional, talented with some great conversation. I would highly recommend him. The only problem I have with giving him 5 stars, is that id prefer to give him 6. Will definitely be back to see him again soon.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience for my first tattoo! Kat was brilliant and the perfect choice for the style I wanted. She made me feel very comfortable and was very informative as well as a good laugh for the 5 or so hours session. Shop is very nice and rest of the staff were great too. I chose Kat and Purple Rose after a long time researching Bristol based artists. Her detail and use of popping bright colours attracted me to visiting the shop. Definitely my first and probably only stop for my next tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Last year I spoke with Kat about a design I wanted from the movie Blade Runner. I thought it was very intricate and quite a difficult piece to recreate. After a little research I decided I wanted Kat to do the design. I'm so happy I chose Kat. After four visits she completed my little masterpiece. Her attention to detail is spot on. I'm incredibly happy with the result. I would without a doubt recommend Kat, especially for any coloured detailed work. Definitely returning for my next piece.

Positive experience: Unfortunately been battling with a bump on the nose piercing since getting it done here. Unfortunately the piercer did not screw the ball on the end thread properly so it fell off after a few days and consequently the whole pole came out. I struggled to get it back in, which meant I did some damage to the hole tissue. I’m annoyed she didn’t do this properly, it was obvious when looking it it that it was not on properly. The piercer wouldn’t have been able to do anything more than I did, so didn’t go in for advice, although when it was done she was very friendly and made me aware that aftercare advice was always welcome. Otherwise, my wife has had a couple of tattoos here, with good results. Therefore I feel I can’t take off too many stars for me negative experience.

Fantastic experience: I have just had a memorial tattoo done and I love it, from the moment I arrived there was a really lovely lady on reception (I'm sorry I didn't get your name) Fred who done my tattoo was professional and friendly, he always checked that I was happy with how it was going, I would 100% come back when I have another tattoo. Thank you everyone at purple rose I would definitely recommend you to anyone who is looking for a tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I visited Purple Rose Tattoo to see Kash today and had a wonderful experience! Although this wasn't the first tattoo I have had, it was my first visit to Purple Rose but I immediately felt welcome and knew I was in a professional environment. Kash was super friendly and easy to chat to. She listened to my ideas and offered great advice in order for us to make sure I would be happy with the final outcome. Each stage of the process was explained clearly and I felt very comfortable during my whole time in the studio. I'm really pleased with the final work and couldn't recommend Kash enough! X

The whole experience was percent from the professional manner of Verity whilst doing my tattoo to the aftercare information I received. Also I would like to mention the very high standard of hygiene that I observed threw out the procedure.

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I have visited here. I had my ears pierced and after an awful experience with reactions and so on elsewhere, here was wonderful. The sanitation was excellent, they use needles rather than guns as should be done but unfortunately many places don't. The lady was very comforting and excellent with educating me. I recently had a tattoo done to honour my friend who had passed and this was my first one. As someone who isn't so into tattoos on myself I was very nervous. The lady who did mine was very kind, provided me with a lot of information and educated me on how to prepare for and look after my tattoo. It has healed wonderfully with no issues whatsoever. It's safe to say I will be returning :)

Negative experience: Just felt what I needed and what I wanted was not a priority. Left hurt angry and fighting tears and on phone to another shop to have the new work fixed

Negative experience: Emailed and took a week to answer then said they'd get back to me but never. I rang them to find they're booked up for a month!!! Although It's local, I'm going back to my regular tattooist who is further away but reliable. One phone call and I've booked in within a few days!!! Waste of time emailing and phoning, think you need to go in to get anything sorted out

Fantastic experience: I've had two tattoos here at purple rose with Mick, he's extremely talented, lovely to be around and a true credit to his profession. The tattoos I've gotten from him so far (particularly a colourful pinata tattoo!) have had so many compliments on the detail and have given me the confidence to wear summer clothes which I've been too self concious to wear before due to dislike of my legs. I'm sure all of the artists working here are at this same standard, I wouldn't go to a different studio! :)

The decor is very cool, the music is good and the staff are very friendly. I had a session booked with Dan. He's a top bloke and extremely talented and I am very pleased with the result. Lloyd was brilliant from start to finish, he took the time to go through the design with me to make sure I was happy. He also made sure I was comfortable throughout the tattoo. I cannot recommend Lloyd enough and will be going back to him for the rest of my sleeve.

Paid more than I normally do but the quality, care and results are worth every penny. There are a lot of shops in Bristol but if you want some amazing ink and a great experience, go here.
