Fantastic experience: I have been to Black Sheep a good number of times now for both tattoos with Paula and peircings with Christina, both are very professional, the studio is meticulously clean and beautifully decorated. Both Paula and Christina tell you exactly what's happening if it's your first visit or not, both sent information and pictures before my visits and were willing to make any changes if I had wanted (I didn't). The ear curation I have is well balanced, the shape of my ear was taken in to consideration and the jewellery is beautiful. The tattoos I have are incredible, the art work is fantastic and Paula puts so much work in both before and during the sessions. Going to Black Sheep is a pleasure, it now feels like I'm visiting friends.

Welcoming without being over familiar, professional without being cold— communication is clear, sound and you feel taken care of. Worth noting that I have multiple health conditions, I'm queer and neurodivergent; this studio accommodates me every time. I *know* I'm safe here; it's not just hot air or a sticker on the window. Christina is the most skilled piercer I've ever had. She's fun and friendly without forsaking any professionalism— she'll also tell you the truth about piercing placements, healing, and makes her own curations with unique jewellery. If she doesn't have something you love, she's more than happy to help to find something. The Pink Palace is a whole experience and so worth visiting. Paula is the most gentle tattoo artist I've ever had too; she'll tell you exactly what she's doing and why she's doing it. She communicates clearly, honestly, has great conversation without pressure, and creates from a place of passion, artistic expression and drive. Paula tattoos with connection and intent— she'll take care of you from ensuring you're comfortable with drinks, snacks and music. I really can't recommend her enough; she's put the work in and it shows. I also have been tattooed by Danica and Émilie who guest spot at Black Sheep. Danica's dynamic, shameless energy and Émilie's artistic, emotive expression are amazing to be around and I always look forwards to seeing them, tattoo or no tattoo. Black Sheep has personality— it's homely without demanding over-familiarity from clients and clean without feeling like a medical setting. The attention to detail from the moment you step inside is second to none. The decor is a delight, the playlist is always on point & the general vibe is super friendly. Christine as always is so welcoming and professional. She puts me at ease and is always willing to order in lovely jewellery specific to the look I want. I now love my new piercing that compliment the tragus stud. It looks really lovely with a gradient style. I would totally recommend Christine she's a great piercer. We talked through what I wanted and we looked at some pictures and then when she marked my ear made sure I was happy with where it was going to be pierced. She then gave me great after care advise ( I strongly recommend buying the saline solution she has, dead easy and quick to clean the piercing and loads cheaper than boiling a kettle twice a day for 8 weeks to clean your ear!!) I absolutely strongly recommend her to anyone looking to get a piercing and I’m going back to black sheep to get some ink when I’ve saved upas well! Don’t hesitate!! Thanks Christina.

Fantastic experience: I got my nipples pierced here recently - it's a fantastic place - highly recommended! After being turned away at another studio for my nipples being "too small to pierce", here Christina took one look and said it was no problem. The whole experience start-to-finish was very chilled and simple - she listened carefully to my preferences and gave some helpful, honest advice. There was no pressure, only expertise... she took great care to get the positioning and jewellery exactly as I wanted and the actual pierces were very easy! Christina is amazing at putting you at your ease - she's cheerful, chatty, encouraging and clearly very experienced. I was pierced with longer titanium bar-bells, but she sent me away with a free pair of shorter ones to swap in myself later - they were included in a little pack which also had some sterile lubricant, antiseptic wipes and a barbell tightening tool. She gave some great after-care advice which was also emailed to me the following day (a great service, as it's hard to take everything in at the time!). The piercings have been really easy to look after (a few sprays of salt-water from an atomiser twice a day) and a few weeks later they look absolutely perfect - I couldn't be happier!

She opened up some old ear piercings I had that I’d not worn jewellery in for a long time and she did it with such ease / no pain. Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Black Sheep for some time now to be tattooed and love how friendly the place is, it’s the best tattoo/piercing place I’ve been to. Recently I went to get a piercing from Christina, and it went so well! I had my septum pierced 16 years ago (left photo) and it was pierced painfully through my cartilage. I have always hated the placement but was too traumatised to ever try again. After finally deciding to brave it again I went to Christina and explained how scared I was of being pierced through the cartilage again and she was great about it, I was put at ease right away and of course she pierced it correctly. Thanks to Christina and the non binary Squishmallow I had to squeeze.. I’m in love with my new septum piercing and love the fact I can also double up if I want to and wear both my new one and my old at the same time :) See the placement difference below.

Fantastic experience: Last month I got my nostril pierced by Christina to create symmetrical nostril piercings. I'd previously had it done by someone else who pierced it far too low. This created a build up of scar tissue inside the nostril which affected how the labret back sat when Christina pierced it. She understood the issue and repierced it no problem. She also understood the need to get the placement right and didn't mind taking time to line it up and wiping the dot off when it wasn't quite right. It was the most relaxed I've felt when getting pierced. I'll definitely be coming back for both piercings and tattoos. Everyone was so friendly. My mum and I really loved the welcoming vibe.

Provides great aftercare advice and follow up. She made me feel very relaxed. A brilliant go to place for your piercings in Bristol.

Fantastic experience: Had my first ever tattoo session the other day with Pura and couldn't recommend her enough. Immediately felt at ease with her attention to detail and commitment to getting everything perfect, not only that, but the artwork is so stunning I can't stop looking at it. Can't wait to go back for more. The studio itself is super chill and has a really friendly vibe, even the bathroom is so fun to look at. 10/10 Experience!

Fantastic experience: Got tattooed by Paddy and had a fantastic experience. I’ve been tattooed by a few different artists in and around Bristol but I feel like I’ve found a ‘golden’ tattoo artist in Paddy to complete my sleeve. Thank you and will see you again soon. The store is great, a really positive and creative space with other friendly artists. I will be back soon for my next tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. Paddy was a dream. Gave him an idea and he made it far better than I could imagine. He’s so talented and the attention to detail is amazing! I can’t believe it’s mine! Thank you so much. My husband also had a tattoo from paddy’s flash and I honestly think it’s the best tattoo he has. Wonderful work, great guy and fabulous tattoos. The salon is also light, airy and interesting. So much to look at and relaxed. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Got my first tattoo with Natasha and it's class, exactly what I wanted. The whole experience was lovely, the tattoo was really well designed taking inspiration from what I had initially asked for but made much better and she spoke through the whole process behind the design and her recommendations with me which were all great. The shop was nice, clean, easy to get to and everyone else was quite chill.

Fantastic experience: After browsing Bristol tattoo studios, I found Black Sheep! I had no intention of impulsively getting my nose re-pierced, but the positive atmosphere this studio promoted was so inviting. Booking the appointment online was so easy. My piercing appointment was so well handled by Christina. For a nervous person like me, I had no anxiety at all. The studio is so bright and welcoming with a very relaxed vibe. The piercing room itself was so clean, and is just a wonderful high impact of pink decor absolutely everywhere. After deciding on placement, I was fully distracted by the friendly conversation and of course the emotional support mouse given to me to squeeze if I needed to (he did not get squeezed). After the piercing, I was given some follow up aftercare both on the day and again via email on the following day. The follow-up email was a nice touch, and I will certainly be booking again in the future <3

Fantastic experience: I had a warm welcoming from that vegan piercer Christina when I came in. She is an adorable and friendly personality with piercing skills. She made everything easy with swapping my jewlery on my face due to inflammation caused by metal sensitivity. Trust me, if you are going for first piercing, just book with her. She just knows how to do it!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Black Sheep and lovely Tash for my first “proper” tattoo. Tash thoughtfully designed a beautiful Vetch for me and gave me all the info I needed to prepare and relax during the tattoo. Aftercare advice was perfect and I love my Vetch!

The room was clean and bright, all products were opened infront of me which was reassuring to know everything was sterile. Easy and flexible booking, would absolutely recommend.
