Fantastic experience: A big thanks to The Viper Pit in Irlam for their insane customer service today. I had originally booked in with a tattoo shop in Urmston for my daughter’s first ear piercing and she was so excited - she’s harped on about it for weeks. Unfortunately, our appt was cancelled very late last night and this morning I found myself scrambling for another appointment or facing disappointing a girl who has waited weeks for her big day. I found the website for The Viper Pit online and immediately booked the 9:30am appointment. Within minutes, the owner, Chris, called me to explain that the online system shouldn’t have taken my booking as the shop was actually closed today as the staff were getting prepped for Christmas and asked if we could rearrange for tomorrow. This was totally fine with me however after I mentioned that my daughter’s original appointment elsewhere had been cancelled, he insisted that he opened the shop especially for us. Such an incredibly kind and generous offer!!! We met Chris within the hour, and I then learned he’d driven at least 25 mins from his home to meet us. He doesn’t actually live nearby. That’s an hour he’d taken out of his Sunday to make my daughter’s day, and her Christmas! The piercing was super affordable, only £30, and was done so quickly. It was beautifully executed and zero tears from my 9yr old. Thank you so much to Chris for a fabulous experience and for being so remarkably generous at a time that is really busy for us all. If anyone is considering children’s ear piercing, I’d totally recommend this place! Massive Christmas spirit, unbeatable service and an owner with a really big heart

I had an appointment on the Friday morning which I was going to struggle to make so I dropped them a message on Facebook the day before and got a reply straight away saying I could go in anytime before 5 and they would fit me in for a conch piercing. I’m usually so anxious going in to new places but Chris was so welcoming and immediately made me feel at ease. I also had jewellery in that I wanted changing and Chris had no problem doing this for me and at a very reasonable price! My new go to for piercings.

Fantastic experience: I’d been wanting a daith piercing for ages and had done some research on the best reviewed piercers in the area and the “Viper Pit” topped the list. Not actually knowing where the shop was located, I drove past today and decided to call in to see if they did “walk in’s”. Chris greeted me and luckily, was able to fit me in. Chris has a “gift” of making you feel immediately at ease. cracking jokes and asking questions. Before I knew it, my piercing was done! Chris was professional and obviously very experienced.The whole procedure was efficient and (almost) painless. I woke up this morning with no intention of getting a piercing, but I’m so glad i did. This was a very special tattoo to mark my brothers should've been 40th birthday and then a touch up of another tattoo he had done (I woke up scratching ) Chris makes the whole experience comfortable and relaxed and as always the work is on point. The studio is clean and organised without feeling clinical and has some fab art work on display too.

Fantastic experience: I recently had a bad experience with a poorly done piercing from elsewhere which had left me in a lot of pain and discomfort and I knew something wasn’t right. It was placed unevenly, constantly irritated, and no matter how well I cared for it, the healing process just wasn’t going smoothly. After I had finally had enough I decided to seek help from a reputable piercer, and I’m so glad I did! As soon as I walked into the shop, I could tell I was in good hands. Chris took the time to examine my ear, explain what had likely gone wrong, and offer solutions. He recommended removing the original piercing and allowing it to heal before having it redone properly. I can’t thank him enough for taking the time to help me. I’ll definitely be going back when my ear has healed to have it redone properly this time! Thank you Chris!!

Fantastic experience: Went here to get my industrial and eyebrow pierced. I've had my eyebrow done at other places a couple times in the past and it wasn't pierced well at all, but it was clear Chris knew exactly what he was doing and I felt really safe and comfortable. Even though I was getting pierced three times in one sitting I was in and out of the studio really quickly! Chris was so efficient and was cracking jokes the whole time, it was a really nice atmosphere. I'd definitely come back for future piercings – in fact, I'm not sure I'd want to go anywhere else. Fantastic experience: Chris is a legend!!! An absolute gem of a person. I went in to finally get my nipple bar changed after i got it pierced at a different place years ago and he took one look at it and said that it wouldn't be possible as they had done it all wrong. He offered to re-pierce it properly there and then. He was so helpful and professional and just wanted to me to have the correct piercing. I honestly couldn't recommend him more to anyone. Fantastic experience: Had my first laser removal session today of an old unwanted tattoo (done by someone else). I don’t know why I was so nervous, Chris was so chatty he kept me occupied the whole time. The pain wasn’t anywhere near as bad as i was worried about, it felt the same as having the tattoo done in the first place. I’m not worried at all about my next session. Thanks Chris! :)

Fantastic experience: I had some piercings done two years ago at loaded fourty four and my ears were constantly weeping and scabbing over one fell out and became infected once it calmed I came to the viper pit to have my healed one re-pierced and wanted my other earrings taking out and changing turns out the reason I couldn't get them out was they had been double threaded and had to be cut out! Since I had my earrings changed at the viper pit they have all finally healed well and my one that was freshly pierced healed with no redness or weeping thanks to the cleaning trick they taught me safe to say this is the only shop I trust with my piercings from now on and the guy is mega friendly and kind and clearly knows what he is talking about! I deffo recommend!!...

Fantastic experience: My first time visiting this shop and what a hidden treasure. So talented seeing all the artistry on the walls, not many tattooist can actually tattoo but they are clearly very talented. I came in for a simple lip bar change and i was given so much information and so much help which I haven’t experienced in a tattoo shop before. The layout is so funky and quirky I didn’t know where to look, the added screwballs machines and branding where a bonus. Genuinely the guy was so polite and funny and really helpful and felt at ease around his company. My next tattoo I would book here just for how welcome I felt and how down to earth they were. Fantastic experience: Over the past few days, I’ve had a complete mess whilst dealing with piercings from dodgy places. My friend came across viper and said I should give it a shot as we were coming up to Manchester for the day. The best decision!!! The man was lovely to me from start to finish and explained what the others had done wrong. He shown me before and afters of them and you could see the improvement instantly. Can honestly tell that he’s a lovely guy!! He was so helpful, hopefully im on the road to good piercings now!! Couldn’t recommend it more, it was definitely worth the drive up.

Rang Viper pit at 16.00 today had it sorted for me and removed the jewellery for me for free thank you so much for all the information and for putting me at ease I appreciate it 5 stars highly recommend they know what they’re talking about, if I ever get my cartilage done again I’ll be sure to come to you

Fantastic experience: Very impressed with the service at the Viper Pit. I had both my left and right Tragus done elsewhere, went to Chris asking if he could put new earrings in for me. He pointed out the piercings were in the wrong positions, and one hadn’t healed well. He re-pierced my left free of charge, and I went back 2 weeks later to get the other one done. Great advice, and great banter. Really helpful and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place. Just had an incredibly high quality, half sleeve finished by Rachael and I’m extremely happy with the tattoo. This was done at a fraction of the cost that I was quoted by another local tattoo shop. Chris, Rachael and Chelsea make the Viper Pit a fun and relaxed environment to get either a piercing or tattoo done and I’ll definitely be getting more work done here soon. The only place you should be getting a tattoo done in Manchester!
