Negative experience: I’m writing this review to share my recent experience at Studio Kej, specifically regarding a tattoo touch-up appointment. I want to be fair in describing what happened, as my intention from the beginning was simply to communicate openly about how my tattoo healed and understand what my best options were moving forward. When I arrived for my touch-up, I expected to have a brief conversation about the healing process before getting started. Instead, I felt that my attempts to ask questions—such as whether the tattoo might require a cover-up or what the best approach would be—were interpreted as negativity or personal criticism. My questions were not meant to be insulting; I genuinely wanted professional guidance. Unfortunately, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. After the appointment, I reached out directly to explain why the experience had been upsetting. The response I received made me feel even worse, as it suggested that my inquiries were taken as hostility rather than sincere attempts to understand my options. What I hoped would be a constructive conversation instead left me feeling blamed and misunderstood. I want to be clear: I never intended to offend anyone. I booked the appointment in good faith and expected a collaborative, respectful dialogue about achieving the best result. Instead, I left the studio feeling like an inconvenience, and I was emotionally overwhelmed enough to cry on the way home—something I genuinely did not anticipate from a simple tattoo touch-up. I appreciate that the studio accommodated me outside the usual timeframe by 13 days and that my concerns were acknowledged afterward, but the overall experience did not reflect the level of customer care I expected. Communication is an essential part of any service, especially something as personal as a tattoo, and I wish the interaction had felt more open and supportive. While I understand the studio’s policies, I was also disappointed that I was unable to receive photos of my tattoo from both appointments for my personal records. I hope my feedback encourages clearer, more empathetic communication with future clients. I truly wish this experience had been different.
