Negative experience: I called to ask if they could help remove a stuck earing stud. It took 3 calls before anyone picked up and when they finally did, they didnt seem to understand what I was saying. She mumbled something with a 20 in it, but I wasn't sure if she was talking about a gauge or price or anything. When I asked for clarification on what she just said, she just hung up on me.

Negative experience: Do not waste your time. They clearly do not need or care for anyone's business. I called multiple times on Wednesday and got no answer. Even texted and messaged on instagram with no reply all day. Google says they were open so i walked on over and they have a sign that said "open. Walk ins welcome" yet the door was locked no lights on i asked around the plaza and I got the same consensus. "They randomly show up to work and dont seem to have any set hours and many people complain because they can't get ahold of anyone to schedule an appointment." If I owned a business id make sure atleast my hours were posted and I responded to people making appointments but thats just me insuppose

They made sure I was comfortable and happy with the design, and tattoo itself was crisp yet thoroughly done. Charged about $120 for a 1x1, and was all professional. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: This is the most unprofessional place I've ever been to. The piercing artist messed up both me and my sister's piercings. I have been trying to get a hold of the store, BB specifically, for the last month about a refund that they supposedly were going to issue us. Every time I call, there's some sort of excuse (BB isn't available, he'll be in later, they'd rather text us, or they just won't pick up the phone at all.) I am beyond disappointed, not only in the piercing service, but the entirety of their staff and how they have chosen to handle everything. Don't waste your time or money coming here. And I can provide proof of purchase, since most stores like to respond to customer reviews and pretend that no purchases were made.

Great atmosphere, you can request to put on your type of music to relax you and my tattoo artist was Carlos who does any amazing job. Plus Carlos will give you suggestions and will work with you to make your tattoo look more better than what you suggested or want to get.

Fantastic experience: We were walk-in customers close to closing time and they still made time for us with no problem (even stayed after hours to finish). My artist was very specific on getting my son’s handwriting point on ! The cross was imperfectly perfect drawn by my kid ! I’ve held this drawing for a while .. We were from out of town but if I ever return to Charlotte then Black Cloud would be my choice shop!

It was kind of hard to find since it’s in the cut beside the QT, so just drive carefully following the GPS, if needed. I was a walk-in on a Saturday afternoon and the wait time wasn’t too long. Trinity did an awesome job on my piercing and was very sweet. I was a bit nervous because it was my first nose piercing, but she was very quick and I didn’t feel a thing; literally a 1/10 pain. I am very pleased and will definitely be recommending this location to others!

Also after the tattoo session Phillip explained to me about my other tattoos and thanks to him I have completely understand and learned about tattoos and how it suppose to be done cause unfortunately my last tattoo artist did not do it completely right but Phillip did everything right and I will be going to him more often now.

Fantastic experience: I had a much better experience here getting my nose repierced than I did getting my nose pierced 10 years ago. This process took maybe 15 minutes. This time I got to pick out a nose ring that fits my small nose perfectly. Healing and cleaning has been quick and easy. Rina at the Uptown Charlotte location was very helpful and friendly. I have recommeded friends come here based on my experience. I love having my nose ring again. It just fits my face. Thank you for everything!

Negative experience: I paid $200 for a tattoo that was apparently more like an $80 tattoo.

Negative experience: My friend and I both got cartilage piercings at this location on August 4th. Since then (only 2.5 weeks) both of our piercings have fallen out. This is my 6th ear piercing, and although this was the most expensive piercing (my first time at a Black Cloud location) I have gotten, I have never experienced a piercing falling out. I have kept my last 2 piercings in for 6 months without changing them, and have never had an issue like this. I am very unhappy with the quality of this piercing, especially for the price I paid for this. There is no reason that both of our piercings should have fallen out within less than 3 weeks of getting them done. UPDATE: Black cloud left a comment saying they had reached out to me two weeks ago, which they did. Since then, they have not responded and are unwilling to agree that two different piercings on two different people, both falling out in less than 2.5 weeks is the fault of them as the piercer or the jewelry that they use.

Fantastic experience: I got my helix pierced with Cierra. It was fast, painless and she answered all my questions patiently.

Negative experience: I overall really hated my piercing (tragus) experience here. It began with having a very frazzled piercer. She did not know where the jewelry was - had to look in her car for it. She then pierced me with a bar instead of the flat-back i originally asked for (which still cost me a pretty penny despite incorrect jewelry and the faultiness that occurs later in this review) Post piercing there were no aftercare instructions given - though I’ve had many piercing before so i knew the jist luckily. A couple weeks go by and it gets pretty infected (despite my religious cleaning). i believe this was because the jewelry was way too big - leading to friction bumps and infection. A doctor gave me an ointment to help. The friction bump never went away. THEN my jewelry came loose - which has never happened to me before with original jewelry - normally i need pliers to get the jewelry off. I stayed vigilant tightening it, but it would not stay tight. Eventually it fell out in the shower. The shop was helpful in replacing the ball back - however refused to put it on for me despite that taking maybe 5 minutes. They were close to closing, but if i was not able to get this on - it would have closed up overnight if the jewelry fully fell out. (My friend I went with to get my piercing got one of her own as well, and her jewelry also came loose. They also couldn’t get her earring back in her piercing after it had been out for 4 hours, she went to another piercer and they got it back in no problem) Ultimately- the people here seem nice but they are also disorganized and incompetent (2 things you definitely don’t want in your piercing experience). I would never recommend this to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Yes, THEY TAKE KIDS and it’s WAAAAY cheaper than those commercial mall kiosk/stores. Our entire experience was Absolutely FANTASTIC! From beginning to end! Our artist Erin was amazing!! She explained everything in detail and made my girls and I feel completely comfortable. They wanted their ears pierced and I got my nose pierced! She was VERY professional and the establishment is SUPER CLEAN! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever!!!! RUN AWAY! So I got a cartilage, Tragus, and conch piercing. Pain: I have had these piercings before and many others in the past, and never felt pain or discomfort. So when I got them here, it was so painful to the point I was shaking especially when I got my Tragus. Rather than a quick process, it felt like she was struggling with it. At the end… I was pooling with blood, and she even got blood on my dress… I slept with a towel for 2 days just in case. My friend was mortified watching me go through this. Process: She put the Tragus piercing on backwards, so the ugly backing showed. Time: Took a little over an hour Price: Spent well over $200, and she asked if I wanted to leave a tip. I tipped a lot and regretted it immediately. ADDING THE CHERRY ON TOP! 5 days after the piercing, the cartilage piercing ball popped off, and I lost it. I called the pineville location, since it’s right around the corner from my work, if they could provide a new ball since it’s SO NEW! They told me that it would be $20 as I would have to buy a whole new piercing just for a ball that shouldn’t have fallen off in the first place. I swapped it out myself with my own jewelry even tho it was a fresh piercing. THEN! Two weeks later, the Tragus piercing ball popped off. I tried replacing it myself, but struggled. So, I went in and asked if they could swap out all three, but this time, with my owen jewelry… they said it would be $60 for all 3!!!!! I am beyond upset with this experience. Please go someplace else. Black Cloud Locations: (((Piercings were done at the south end location, and the replacing fee statements were at the pineville location. Not sure their names.)))

Fantastic experience: My experience was at Black Cloud South Blvd. Erin was amazing. I wandered in with a friend looking to purchase new jewelry and left with a piercing . She explained the entire process and paused after every step to make sure I was okay. I love my new piercing and have a great memory of the experience.
