Negative experience: It's called Black Cloud Tattoo & Piercing because it's going leave a black cloud over your head when you leave. I genuinely wish I had never stepped foot in this shop. I went in on Saturday for a lip piercing, and from the moment I walked in, I felt uneasy. The conditions were visibly unclean. While I was instructed to seat, I could clearly see that the piercer had not properly cleaned up from the previous client. That alone should have been my sign to leave. It only got worse from there. The piercer didn’t even confirm what type of lip piercing I wanted. She was about to give me the wrong one until I stopped her and clarified. That’s a basic step in the process — and it was skipped entirely. During the piercing, she dropped the jewelry. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she fumbled through it while I bled profusely down the front of my clothes and onto my bag. I actually had to help her hold the clamp while she tried to get it together. As a paying client, I should never be assisting the person performing my piercing. After a rushed cleanup, she told me to “come back if the bar is too short.” By that same night, the jewelry was already embedding into my lip. It was obviously too short. I returned Sunday during posted business hours. The sign was on. The lights were on. The door was locked. No answer to calls. No response to messages. I waited and came back over an hour later, assuming maybe they were on lunch. Still nothing. I came back again Monday — same situation. Lights on. Sign on. No one there. At that point, I had no choice but to buy four different pieces of jewelry elsewhere and replace it myself just to prevent further damage. Yes, the piercer discounted the piercing because of the excessive bleeding, but that does not make up for the complete lack of professionalism, sanitation, communication, or accountability. Mistakes happen — but what matters is how you handle them. Ignoring your client after a botched piercing and being unreachable during posted hours is unacceptable. If there had been even a shred of due diligence in fixing the situation, I wouldn’t feel like this entire experience was a complete flop and a total waste of my time, money, and trust. Literally just go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: The young lady who works the front desk and her room is to the left, she did an amazing job with my son’s ear piercing. She explained every step, she was really quick, she was very professional and super nice! Definitely recommend.

Negative experience: Went in to get matching tattoos recently, only complaint that we have collectively is that the tattoos look terrible once they heal. There are some areas that are too saturated and some areas that aren’t saturated at all. We were told to come back if the tattoos faded but we’re told we would have to pay 100+ for touch-ups. We got two small finger tattoos and were charged 130 a piece. Don’t waste your money booking with Edwink. The tattoos on his page are misleading and is obvious his work is not what he advertises it to be, especially on melanin skin.

Fantastic experience: Richard’s work speaks for itself. Just went in for a tiny knuckle tattoo and found him based on his line work. He gave a quote and stuck to it. The time he took and the detail he put it.. amazing. This is your guy for fine line work.

The day of the appointment he was very professional and very informative about the tattoo placement that my partner and I were getting done since we got married, this is our version of doing rings. Positive experience: First time visiting and I’d say there was great customer service, the person i called was very friendly and my piercer was very nice and welcoming. The service was very quick as well but the only complaint I have is that the dermal gem I got seemed to be very cheap, I’ve only had it for a few days now and my diamond already fell out.

Fantastic experience: I visited this shop on 8/16 with a group of friends for piercings and we all had a great experience! The piercer was so nice and very attentive with all of us, which helped make the environment more comfortable. I got my nose re-pierced, and she made sure to avoid the scar tissue from my previous piercing like I asked so the pain was very minimal. So far, the piercing is healing really well with the proper care. If I am ever back in Charlotte and want to get more piercings, I’ll be sure to keep this shop in mind!

Negative experience: This is just after 5 days! Overcharged $280 for a job that should’ve been at most $180, the letters have COMPLETELY faded, and the ink as you can see in the photo on the backside of my hand is inconsistent in many places. Alongside the unprofessionalism from the other tattoo artists that were distracting her from keeping focus on my hand. I am in no way shape or form faulting her, however this is very unacceptable for the caliber of her other tattoos that i’ve seen on her page.
