Fantastic experience: This shop is the COOLEST! I’ve been working with Josh for roughly the last year in attempt to remove some deep acne scars I had on my face. I was one who had accepted his fate and lived with these scars until Josh told me about this new laser treatment they offered there at his shop. After a couple of sessions you were able to tell a huge difference on these acne scars. I would definitely recommend this sort of treatment for anyone dealing with any scarring issues and what better place to get it done than here at Lamar street tattoo club with Josh! I’ve also been going to Jordan for my tattoos for the last 3/4 years and I would definitely recommend him 10000%. I always leave this shop with artwork that exceeds my expectations and a happy customer.

He completed a badass cecropia moth at my elbow hinge and took the time to make sure every little detail was apparent. Looking forward to get the butterflies! Edit 1/26: Had an itch to get a barred owl tattoo and Josh blew it out of the park again. I highly recommend him for all of your tattoo needs. Everyone in the shop is extremely friendly too! I welt and bruise easily so it's hard to get a "great after photo" but these are all still phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend.

Negative experience: Josh was very rude whenever I was just asking a question over his laser tattoo removal machine, as it stopped working a week prior (his words) which leads me to my next thing, why are the books open for a service that they are not providing at the moment? My first at this location and won’t be returning or recommending.

Fantastic experience: 1/17/26 Josh helped me design a unique tattoo. I had an idea of what I wanted, but he was able to help me w placement, proportion, & design. He is at the top of the game as an artist, and there is a reason he’s received so much recognition over the years. If you are getting ink done, no one does it better. Fantastic experience: Jake was just amazing! Josh was too. Who would have thought I would walk out with a new tattoo and a whole bunch of food recommendations! All my tattoos have been done in different states so in keeping tradition, I started searching artists in the Dallas area. I’m elated my search ended here. Upon arrival I was greeted with jokes and laughs making me feel at ease. I was looking for a small tattoo, an avocado actually. Jake was very professional. I knew that he knew his shit. ( can I say shit in a Google review?! Ha) The whole time ( like 20 mins) that Jake was tattooing me, Josh was talking to my husband and I about food and I just knew this was where I was meant to end up. ( I’m a wimp and this is my fifth small tattoo, after every one I said I’m never doing it again yet here we are!) I’m really happy. Jake did a phenomenal job!! I know not everyone is comfortable with small pieces but Jake was confident and I got exactly what I wanted. I will hundred 100% recommend these guys and this shop!

Wall to wall (even the floor) designs, artist that mean business and a very welcoming atmosphere. Went in just trying to add something bold to my arm and Jordan did not disappoint. We landed on an American traditional rose drawn to fit a space I had and I couldn’t be happier. I will be back to this shop for sure and can’t wait.

Fantastic experience: After a lot of looking around, I went to Josh for a consult and, subsequently, a cover up of a tattoo I got when I was 19, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. I was a little intimidated when I first walked up to LSTC because it has a very traditional tattoo shop aesthetic and I was nervous I was going to be met with the gruff vibes that I tend to associate with that. However, I genuinely couldn't ask for a better shop. Everyone was really personable and welcoming, and Josh was open to ideas and genuinely cares about you loving the tattoo you get. If you're considering getting tattooed, I would definitely recommend you check them out.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Jordan, the tattoo artist. He was exceptionally patient throughout the entire process and took great care in modifying a custom tattoo that meant a lot to me. Jordan answered all of my questions thoroughly and with kindness, never rushing or brushing anything off. When I asked about the sanitation process, he explained everything in detail, which put my mind at ease. At one point, he presented a design modification that was close—but the font didn’t quite fit my personality. Before I even arrived, he had already created another version using the original font I liked. That level of thoughtfulness really stood out. Jordan is definitely a great listener who genuinely wants to deliver exactly what the customer envisions. After completing the tattoo, he carefully covered it and walked me through the aftercare instructions in detail. Later that day, after I got home and took my dog for a walk, the plastic cover started to curl up and come off. I texted Jordan, and to my surprise, he waited for me to return and then applied a different cover to make sure everything was protected properly. He truly went the extra mile. I couldn’t have asked for a better artist to bring such a personal piece to life. Fantastic experience: Again, another amazing session with Josh. Not only is this man insanely talented in designing and creating a tattoo but I can't get over how incredible this man is as a person! I truly as a woman have never felt more safe or respected in a tattoo shop. For reference Josh did two tattoos, on two people, and a laser tattoo removal session on one person, he spent a total of 40 minutes doing the services and spent another three hours making the most wonderful conversation with me and my partner. So far both the tattoo process has been pain free, as has the tattoo removal process. Not only did I get a lesson on self defense but Josh truly is a pleasure to talk too. At the end of my tattoo appointment I get one of his patented "dad hugs" and I don't know another tattoo shop owner that has as much experience as Josh, gives his customers AMAZING hugs upon leaving, and even gave one of his Lamar street shirts to me for not charge. Not to mention Josh's prices are truly unbeatable, he will respect your opinion as it is your body BUT he has the right amount of advise to result in a perfectly placed, well detailed, and likely custom piece drawn right there at the shop. Fantastic experience: I have been to a LOT of tattoo shops but LSTC has become home. I've been tattooed by a few artists there and they are all insanely talented and friendly. I find myself just hanging out with them after a session quite often. All of my work from the shops is gorgeous and I get constant compliments. But another service that isn't praised enough here is the laser removal. I have a tattoo that had 3 laser removal sessions at a different shop prior to coming here and the experience was night and day. Not only is LSTC more reasonably priced and up front about the number of sessions but it was way less painful than any session before. The education I got was unlike anything at the previous shop I went to and I felt so much more knowledgeable and confident in the process with Josh Hall. But then!! Yall.... the healing was completely different. Firstly, I walked away almost pain free- something I never had before. The after care was so clear and the healing was world's better than what I dealt with before. Plus- the best part- the one session with Josh pulled more than my previous sessions elsewhere. Lamar St is the ONLY place to go for tattoo and removal needs. Go hang with the guys, relax, have some laughs, get some insanely beautiful new art, or remove some crappy art. Whatever you need - this is THE PLACE to go.

I have gotten several tattoos from Josh, and he is currently working on my cover ups wouldn’t go anywhere. When other shops told me a 3-6 month wait. Fantastic experience: I have been getting tattooed by Josh for 17 years. Experience counts, he is very professional and has excellent aesthetic taste and knowledge of all forms of tattooing. None of my tattoos have faded, beautiful shop as well.
