Negative experience: I had got a cover up tattoo here a while back. The cover up was not that great. The owner seemed a bit racist and arrogant. I came back again to with my daughter so she could get a tattoo. I told her not to go to TAT CAVE for her tattoo. When we walked in, nobody greeted us. We just got some stare and a very cold how can we help you. I don't like this place or the owner. I would never recommend this place no one!!!!

Negative experience: got pierced by mike today. the piercing itself was quick and the $20 per piercing price is a great deal. however, the customer service felt really cold, i don’t remember being greeted when i walked in, and the piercer seemed uninterested and ready for me to leave. i tried to make conversation and the vibe just wasn’t welcoming. i know everyone has their own stuff going on, but when you’re at work, it matters how you make customers feel. i’d recommend them for the piercing/price, but don’t expect a friendly experience lmao.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to Mike for the longest for all my piercings. Never experienced an issue. Also been tattooed by George twice and Vinnie once. Best place for your buck.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing. The customer service was lacking, and I felt that the staff was not very welcoming or helpful. Additionally, I noticed that the facility was quite dirty and did not seem to be complying with health department regulations. From the moment I walked in, there was a negative energy that made the environment uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: 1000/10 service and shop. i will always be coming back here! mike did all my piercings (septum, nose, eyebrows) as well as my cousins belly piercing and nose piercing and lastly my moms nose piercing all in the last few weeks. he did a phenomenal job every time. he’s incredibly funny and sweet! the service is amazing, the shop is clean and sanitary, and the vibes are always great every time i come. the prices for their piercings are phenomenal too. i will be coming back here and i don’t leave reviews often but they deserve it.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t even been here yet, but I called here for different options and how to get things done, reception and the piercer’s were very friendly and telling me how everything would go. Some of these one star ratings are hateful and it’s usually about infections on the piercings. To all the people who work there I’m so sorry people act like this. I haven’t even been there, but I’m noticing that the one star reviews about piercings being infected afterwards are people who are getting these piercings in very high risk spots. And when it’s not a high risk spot Their pictures look like they weren’t taking care of it themselves anyways. Yes, 90% of the piercing is the piercers job and the piercing but 10% they can also turn into 100% afterwards. Is your job taking care of it and people wanna hate Because the pricing is Cheaper(Price not quality) instead of being thankful and probably having a piercer, who knew what they were doing, they picked a spot that usually gets infected and wants to blame it on you guys based on the number. Shameful I’m coming in later this weekend. I hope to see you guys. I’m excited.

Fantastic experience: Last year, I got 2 daith piercings (one on each ear.) My piercings healed perfectly with no complications (despite the fact that Daith piercings are known for high risks/difficult healing.) The person who pierced my ears was highly skilled like a surgeon. His name was Saturn. The process to put the daiths in was very fast and clean. I only payed $20 for each piercing which is incredible concidering the quality. Highly reccomend this location for its affordable price, and skilled team. (I included image of the piercings today with new hoops) they both healed the same

Fantastic experience: I am not good with pain but i’ve been wanting to get my nose pierced and get my second lobe piercings. ASK FOR MIKE. When i tell you i felt NOTHING! He has a great hand and is super chill and keeps you calm through all of it. He walked me through every step and was so great. 100% reccomend.

Negative experience: Came here on the fly, to do some pretty standard piercings (ears and nose) and the employee ("Saturn") who did my piercings seemed uninterested in his work and more interested in getting people in and out if his chair as quickly as possible. Usually when I get piercings or tattoos done at other places I've been to (Jade Dragon and Tattoo Candy), the staff has always been friendly and very attentive to the customer's needs and concerns. Not this guy - he just wanted to collect the cash and get the job done. He never even discussed possible reactions or aftercare (like the other 2 places I've mentioned, have ALWAYS done). In fact, when I asked, he just handed me a card with a QRC code and said "just scan it"...and that was it!!! And now, I'm in the ER because of sudden bleeding from the nose piercing - and I've not touched it once! I am now going thru several reviews as I sit in the ER and discovered that they have a history of customers developing infections after doing business here. It's on me for not taking the time to read the reviews thoroughly. But I URGE ANYONE THINKING ABOUT GETTING BODY ART WORK DONE, TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!

Negative experience: they literally give you piercings with the side of infections. no wonder the piercings are cheap because they give u infections and i know many ppl who get infections at this place

Negative experience: **They are cheap for a reason** I came to get my second lobe piercing back in May. I was suspicious at my piercing taking more than 2 months to heal given my other piercings have healed within 2 weeks. I had to get this infection cleaned at another place and spend more on getting jewelry that is actually of good quality. They claim that they pierced me with stainless steel, but given the damage to the jewelry, unusually long healing time, and the rusted jewelry, I have my suspicions. To add to that, the service felt rushed and uncomfortable. My piercer did not leave any room to talk through the placement of my piercing, or pick out a jewelry that I liked. I was hesitant to post this review because I quietly take my business elsewhere if I do not like the service, but the low-quality jewelry and the refusal of a refund when I reached out have convinced me to share my experience so others can practice caution when selecting this place to get a piercing.

Negative experience: ******* WORTH THE READ!!!!!!!!!!!! ******** I had a very disappointing experience at this shop. We came in to get a piercing for my 17-year-old sister with me as the legal guardian and all required paperwork fully completed — including a notarized consent form, with the notary’s ID number, signature, and everything done according to Texas state law (where it was originally notarized before we moved to Illinois). The consent is valid until my sister turns 18. However, the staff refused to accept the paperwork because it didn’t have a “textured” notary stamp. That’s not how notarizations are done in Texas everything is handled digitally now, which is completely legal and valid, EVERYWHERE. It felt like they didn’t even want to listen or take the time to understand the documentation. We were respectful and followed all the rules they outlined beforehand, yet were still turned away. If your policies go beyond state law, that’s one thing but at least make that clear on your website or when people call in. We left feeling frustrated and dismissed after wasting our time,TWICE. Not a welcoming or accommodating experience at all. Would not recommend. ************ Edit ************ If you’re going to cite Illinois law, at least be accurate. Illinois does allow piercings for minors with a parent or legal guardian present and proper consent. Nowhere in the law does it require a “textured” notary stamp that’s your shop’s personal policy, not the law. A digital Texas document is legally binding everywhere. Thank you. Update your SHOP’S policies :) ********** EDIT 2 LOL ********* Glad to see your professionalism really shines through in your responses. First, you blamed Illinois law. Now it’s “my shop, my rules.” So which is it the law, or your ego? You clearly didn’t know the actual legal requirements, got called out, and now you’re throwing a tantrum over a $20 piercing you claim you “don’t care about” yet you keep responding like it deeply bothers you. Which I see a history of your petty replies. Very unprofessional btw, but hey your shop your rules right If your business and career are so valuable, maybe try acting like it.

Negative experience: horrible customer service. i called ahead of time asking can i get a small tattoo they say he was wit a client he’ll be don’t by the time i got there. i got there and he’s sitting on his phone. the lady asked can he do it he said no he can’t squeeze me in. the tattoo prices are out of control. $60 for this is insane to me.. the atmosphere is very freaky and creepy..

Fantastic experience: Fantastic piercings for only $20! I had to get my belly button repierced because my last one (from another shop) got infected. My new one healed incredibly quickly and never got infected! The service here was super quick and everyone is incredibly friendly!

Fantastic experience: Everyone is so nice here. It's a little intimidating going in after first, but once you get used to the atmosphere, it's almost addicting. I've been pierced twice by Mike, and I only spend about 15 minutes in there with minimal pain. Will totally be returning for more piercings. I'd also advise you to pay with cash since it's what they prefer!

Negative experience: The service was quick and easy the piercer was nice too but it cost me in the long run I’ve never had any issues any of my other piercings but the one I got from this place gave me irritation bumps and I went to a different shop to get it checked out and they told me the placement was not good. Luckily I got it fixed in time before it started getting infected. I had 2 irritation bumps within a month that I got it. The quality of the jewelry also made my skin react badly. I would recommend to try it at your own risk it’s cheap but not worth all the hassle.

Fantastic experience: I recently had George do some work on me. He took the time to let me know what he thought would work and wouldn't work and didn't just slap the first thing I showed him on me. I appreciated the honesty and the conversation during the session.

Fantastic experience: George is the best tattoo artist there is! I have an entire sleeve, leg sleeve, and back tatted. I get compliments on the line work and the tattoos daily. I will not let any other artist touch my skin. He has a perfect tattoo pace and depth and will truly steer you in the right direction when thinking about how the tattoos will look as you age. He will not just slap any tattoo on you like most artists, he cares about what his work looks like 10+ years down the road. George is the best!

Negative experience: I got my lip pierced here and it was such a great experience so I came back for a tattoo. That was a nightmare. He played conservative YouTube video about Iran the whole time and went on about Obama and Biden all while having a needle to my leg. On top of all that weird political stuff my tattoo is completely messed up. The lines are uneven and shaky and missing ink in some spots. He didn’t shave the area either which is pretty standard procedure.

Positive experience: Overall good experience, but disappointed with the second visit. First visit my mom, Bf daughter and I went to get a nose piercing together with Mike. He was great, quick, clean and good price. 3 mons later we go to switch out our piercings, my mom was told no charge by Mike. Her and I go and Saturn changes ours no charge but gave him a tip. My bf daughter goes a few days later to do the same thing and is told and charged by Saturn $10… that’s a shitty thing to do not cool.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten all three of my piercings done here and i’ve had no problems with healing (my first ever piercing being in 8th grade). (i’m now 20) If you follow instructions it’s very unlikely you’ll have a rejecting piercing (if I as an 8th grader can follow instructions.. you can too ) Saturn was my piercer for my most recent 2, process was simple and easy and the staff is kind and easy to chat with! Everyone I know goes here, and have nevvver had a bad experience. Also loveee the front desk girl! Personality is super important to welcoming guests -Double nose -Belly

Mike was cool to talk to, definitely helped me get passed my anxiety I was having ,I think I have 5 piercings from him, Ive been trying to redo my ear like before but It was swift, minimum pain and great placement. Negative experience: Do not get pirced here!! I got an industrial witch got infected almost immediately. Had to go to the hospital to get my ear drained. Perfect example of.you get what you pay for $20 for a pircing will cost you more in the long run.

Fantastic experience: Saturn has pierced both my teen daughters as well as myself! He did my lip as well as my eyebrow. He is super friendly, clean and efficient! I feel very safe and comfortable with him (or i honestly wouldn’t have gone back with my girls). Hes very professional. Joe is also great! If your a fellow pothead save the smoking for later outta respect for this shop, but trust me so worth the service and you cant beat the price!

Negative experience: I got a piercing on my ear today, and after I got home the ball already came off of it. I went to another piercing shop to have them replace the ball, and they told me that the jewelry he used should not have been used for my specific piercing and that I could have complications with it. Disappointed, happy that it was pierced correctly but upset that the wrong jewelry was used.

I got my belly piercing done about 2 years ago by Saturn and this year gifted my sister her first piercing, also done by Saturn. Really quick and professional and do not push you to speak if you are not the talker type. I also love the way the owner defends his staff in these reviews Keep it up and don’t let no one talk down your business with fake rumors! *attached is my healed piercing, so glad it was straight but of course everyone’s healing process is different and mine did take more than a couple months to fully heal.

I walked into the place very nice girl approached me and said that she has to take care of another person before me which was fine I sat down to wait in the meantime while I'm waiting this gentleman if you want to call him that comes down the stairs very aggressively mean and looks at the girl and throws his hands up like what are you doing he has a piece of paper and throws it on the desk right then that was a bad taste in my mouth not a good feeling I felt very intimidated and I told the girl that this was not the first good experience in this place for me so I had to leave. I don't know if he got up on the wrong side of the bed today but he shouldn't be acting like that in front of customers especially new customers or any kind of customers. I'll have to find another tattoo place. im sorry to hear about your loss.

Fantastic experience: Rarely do I ever leave reviews, however my experience on 10/29/2024 was exceptional. Upon entering, my wife and I were greeted by two gentlemen, shop was clean, organized and professional. The piercing was quick and painless. The price, commensurate with getting a piercing. This is a top-notch place.
