Fantastic experience: Recently, I came in to add some Sabbath angels above an older tattoo on my arm. Victor handled it and knocked it out of the park, clean lines, great detail, and it ties in perfectly. He did the same Sabbath angels design on my wife’s leg, and it still looks killer to this day. A few months later, I went back and had Vic revamp my 15 year old virgin marry tattoo: touch-ups, added clouds for flow, heavy shading to blend everything seamlessly. It turned out insanely awesome way better than before, no more faded or mismatched spots. Vic’s an incredible artist precise, knows exactly what he’s doing, and makes the sessions easy. Right now, I’m working on a design with Vic to cover up another old piece and finish off my quarter sleeve on the arm. Can’t wait to see it done this March. Fantastic experience: Went for a septum on a flash sale day. Even though they were too busy and ran out of clamps, I was able to get the same deal on a different day and a free piercing minus jewelry. Super friendly staff and excellent vibes. Piercings went really smoothly and feel amazing so far. And i love how good of a job he did. My piercer was Brenton, and I’ll definitely be back again soon :)

Fantastic experience: Kalm was my artist, he was so great and made sure I was comfortable and confident throughout the process. I got a script tattoo on my lower stomach and everything went smoothly. He checked up on me multiple times and reassured me that everything about the process was in my hands and there was no issue with changing the stencil, taking breaks, needing water, etc. My friend and I came here for tattoos and we both had a great time, great atmosphere, great people, couldn’t recommend enough.

Fantastic experience: Messaged Mind Crusher on Instagram with an idea and got linked up with Brenton Pfaff (@bbrenton2911 on IG). First off, he was honest when saying that anyone at the shop could handle my tattoo idea, but when I saw his IG and his work in cartoon figures both straightforward and creative (Hank Hill + Hot Dog -- You need to see it to believe it), I HAD to book with him. I'm SO GLAD that I did. Not only was the process super simple to get going, but he came in with an even more detailed mock up for my tattoo than I had expected. He was super professional, asked for input before, during, and even after we were initially done, and was extremely communicative about what he was doing at each step. This was my first full-color tattoo and I'm already messaging him about ideas for what's next. It's dangerous given how close I reside to Mind Crusher, but that's a ME problem. Hah! ALSO: While I wasn't getting pierced, Brenton took in a few walk-in piercing clients and I could definitely tell he's well-skilled there too; no guns, uses hollow-needles, and everyone seemed quite happy/not in pain. My own mother is now wanting to see him to get her lobes pierced when she's in town next.

Fantastic experience: I went in for their Friday the 13th flash sale and everyone was so welcoming, snacks and water was even passed out to the line outside. I had the pleasure of working w kalm, the whole experience was great and although small it was still a steal for $20 and I’m sooo in love w it :)

Fantastic experience: I've now gotten 2 tattoos done by @kalmtattoos, once as a walk-in and second booked. Both times were great experiences, David is incredibly professional and patient. He works with you on any changes and makes sure you're completely happy prior to beginning. Besides David, the entire staff at Mind Crusher Tattoo is super sweet. They stop by throughout to check on you and/or the artist. In fact, I had a seizure (epileptic :P ) during my last experience and the shop handled it great, felt super comfortable and safe. (Monstera leaf is about 6 months healed, the second is fresh)

The tattoo was very clean and precise as he took his time and was not rushing so that the tattoo turned out the way I wanted. Another thing I liked was that the price was reasonable which is hard to find. Negative experience: I reached out to Nikki through their IG and we met up for a consultation. It went really well and we set an appointment and she told me she would have a rough design for me in 24-48 hours. I was excited because I'd been wanting to come into the shop for some time and was honestly pretty surprised that apparently they were able to meet every request I had for the tattoo and scheduling. Unfortunately the 48 hours came and went without any communication, I waited two additional days just to give her some extra time as I know things don't always go exactly to plan. when I reached out she was super dismissive, had seemingly completely forgotten about my appointment and tried to schedule me for a different time, and said basically that she was busy. No attempt to give me an idea of when she would be able to get the design to me or if the scheduled appointment was going to need to be rescheduled. I let it slide assuming she really was just busy at the moment and would get back to me. two more days pass and there's only a couple more until my appointment, with no effort from her to reach out, I check in again. For the second time she is super dismissive, she has some large tattoos coming up she needs to complete first before she can work on mine. This is news to me given her reassurance at our first meeting that it wouldn't take her long to get the design to me so that I could look it over and approve or request changes before the appointment. Despite that I'm still willing to work with it but I can't just ignore how hard it is to get any info out of her at this point. Now the day before my appointment after pulling teeth trying to establish some communication I express my frustration with her unwillingness to reach out and keep me updated and to respond to my attempts with what felt to me like annoyance. I'm met with deflection and excuses. She acted super unprofessional and avoided addressing any of my frustrations. She had caught a cold and was unable to do the tattoo regardless because of it, something I don't hold against her because you can't predict illness, but the way she conducted herself made it very clear she did not want to work with me almost as if provoking me to cancel. I have a good amount of tattoos and have been getting tattooed for a decade and artists have a wide range of customer service skills. It's never particularly bothered me, I'm not there for your impeccable bedside manner, but it is a part of your job. This shop has a laundry list of amazing reviews and I'm sure they're very deserved but I can't shake how bold this artist was to ignore me for a week after forgetting about my appointment and then try and goad me into cancelling because of her mistake.

Fantastic experience: I got a lower back piece here and it is one of my favorite pieces I have gotten. My artist was able to design my dream tattoo based off my inspiration pics. The shop was very clean and the pricing was affordable! Every step of the way they made sure I was comfortable and everyone in the shop was so funny. Very grateful for how good it looks and will definitly be going back!

Fantastic experience: First off! I came here for moral support for a friend… little would I have expected that I would be getting a tattoo as well 5mins into coming in! David was very welcoming, as this is my first tattoo. I wanted something small. I expressed to him I wanted something small but meaningful. He came back with multiple sketches, even though I wasn’t too sure if I’d be getting one or not! I fell in love with one and we got straight to the process! Today I got a tattoo from David, and he did an amazing job!! Made sure I got exactly the size, location, and design I wanted. And only took about 20 minutes! Fantastic experience: I recieved my first tattoo by David (@kalmtattoos)last week. Everyone working there that night greeted my friend and I when entered the shop and was very polite. Facility was very clean with great music vibe. My bestie and I submitted the image to David ahead of time and he created different sizes and versions for us to select. David has great customer service; with this being my first tattoo, he took the time to help me with ideas of arm spot and design direction to place it. He was very professional and took the time to explain the whole process before getting started. David has a very soft hand while doing my tatoo which helped ease my nervousness. It was totally painless. During the process David continuously checked if I was ok or if I needed a break. Afterwards he gave me detailed after care instructions and did not mind repeat it to me when I wasn't clear.We had great conversations and he's dog Pickle is adorable. David is a great tattoo artist and will definitely come back even coming from very south (boarder line of Indiana). David is worth the drive.

Negative experience: I got my eyebrow pierced and my friend got her conch pierced here and the jewelry for both of us was ridiculousy long. I didn't question it when I was there because I assumed it was okay, but after my friend and I both had lots of irritation, we went to another piercing studio and they told us the jewerly was way too long and would never heal conrrectly because of it. My piercing at Mind Crusher was cheap, which is great, but I guess you get what you pay for.

While showing the design, he provided three different sizes and explained which ones would look better for the location. He patiently worked with me as I played around with the positioning of the tattoo. The process was not painful, and he would ask if I was doing okay. Fantastic experience: Walked in to Mind Crusher Tattoo and had a wonderful experience. I got an original butterfly design tattooed by David Castillo. He was very understanding about wanting a cool design and needing to get the placement right. He worked very efficiently but didn’t rush. Definitely recommend this shop if you want a chill comfortable vibe and cutting edge tattoo art!

Fantastic experience: I came here over the weekend to get a tattoo from a good friend David and I am so satisfied with the piece that he did for me. I got palm tattoos done and David was so nice and thorough the entire process. From laying the stencil to doing the tattoo and aftercare. He really cares about his work and wants to make sure everything is perfect for you before you leave. All the staff here is really nice too! Shoutout to Brandon and Nicole! Not to mention, the tattoo came out great! It’s really hard to find tattoo artists that can properly tattoo darker skin so I will be coming back here for sure.

Fantastic experience: stopped by the shop yesterday. i had been taking a week off due to a personal loss and was hoping to get a new tattoo done before it ended, which was today. David was kind enough to take my walk-in appointment. I showed him a few pictures of what I had in mind, and he ended up drawing out the design and finished it off as a tattoo all within a few hours. The piece ended up better than what I had imagined. I'm very grateful and impressed with such great work done within such short time. I highly recommend Mind Crusher Tattoo. It's a good neighborhood spot with a chill aesthetic and down-to-earth crew. I've been coming here for 10 years and have gotten 4 tattoos worked on so far. My go-to place. Check it out! He was attentive and friendly when receiving my feedback of the tattoo sketch, and worked with me to get the perfect placement on my arm. While tattooing, he was super gentle and detail oriented. He really took the time to understand what i wanted, we tried several designs and placements and he took the time to explain aftercare instructions and everything. Fantastic experience: Got tattooed by David recently and it came out great! Healed up very nice and I love it a lot! I’ve also been tattooed by Brandon and I was Pierced by Nicole. Everyone is very friendly and nice and does a fantastic job!! Hands down the best place to get a tat or a piercing !

Fantastic experience: It's a great place to get your tattoo and earrings. Brandon did my tattoo, and he was very thorough in explaining everything. He helped me choose the right size and fonts. I returned a few days later to get my ears pierced, but I don't remember the person's name. She also was accommodating and polite. I highly recommend this place.
