Fantastic experience: I’m not big on reviews, but I felt the need to express my satisfaction with the services provided at Apocalipsis Tattoo Shop. I’ve gotten tatted there before and everything good with that. Last night went in for a couple of piercings and Mario did a great job he took his time to make sure I was comfortable, and that the placement of the piercings where just right. I appreciate the good costumer services overall, but Mario thanks would definitely go back to you.

Negative experience: Went to get pierced and was disregarded for over 30 minutes while the workers were just laughing it up even though they had already taken my money and had all my information. One of the worst experiences ever especially since their place is so small. I thought I had been called and stood up but the lady piercer said it was not for me. She returned later and instead asked the lady next to me if she was going to get pierced and I was once again ignored. The receptionist was nice though. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: came in here for angel bites and they did a great job on it, also came in because the ball holding one of the piercings together fell off and they managed to fix that too. as I’m writing this the ball came off again (I fell) and im going back to get that replaced too

Fantastic experience: Came here for the first time during Black Friday weekend last year after seeing on TikTok that they had deals. I should’ve known the deal applied to their stencils, but I came in with a price range, and was determined to leave with a new piece, so I didn’t mind paying full price. I was paired with Edmundo, and he did such a great job on my girl Kagome! These lines are so crisp, it’s like he copied & pasted directly from the manga! If I could change 1 thing, it would be to add a darker green to her clothes to make them look less yellow :)

Fantastic experience: I went in today to get my snake bites re-pierced, and my piercer Mario was amazing. He’s super communicative and collaborative, I felt like he really took my opinions into consideration. My original piercer had pierced one side lower than the other, which they said was because I had an unevenness in my lips. I originally came in wanting them re-pierced in the same place but Mario suggested to make them symmetrical this time. I agreed and I totally see the difference now that I’ve looked back at old photos of myself. I appreciated that he brought this to my attention when he could’ve just pierced it the way I told him too. Real cool guy p.s. the job itself was $80 which I deemed more then reasonable for two oral piercings.

Negative experience: put my nose piercing in the wrong spot possible, i should've repositioned it so that's my fault but be mindful of that. but after she pierced it, it started bleeding and the piercer provided no care for that so it probably got infected...and she positioned the jewelry so weird.

The prices are amazing and I only paid 25 dollars for my piercing. I highly recommend coming here to get a piercing because I most definitely enjoyed my experience.

Fantastic experience: Walked in and got a fine line tattoo here for a great price. My first tattoo. Then I learned about all the horror stories of fine line tattoos. It’s been 2+ years and my tattoo still looks AMAZING. I feel so lucky lol. Also really good price for piercings on Black Friday!!

Negative experience: I don't mind the place but the people in charge are just rude! I asked for a certain tattoo and they got mad at me for wanting it a specific way! The lines arent straight and aren't even bold or anything! *Dont recommend*

Negative experience: I got my anti eyebrow pierced here a month ago and sad to say I had to take it out. I was pierced with a curved bar instead of staple bar. Soon after it started getting irritated and now I have to let the wounds heal in order to get a repierced at a different piercing shop

Fantastic experience: I love this place so much I just keep coming back. Mario is very professional and have a great sense of humor. The most important piercing he did was the daith piercing, I haven't had a migraine in 7+ years. He did 20+ of my piercing and I'm definitely going back for more.

Shop is always Clean and I have been here for a piercing and Tattoo before and they do a great job and take their time. I went in for a nose piercing and I couldn’t stop bleeding afterwards for some reason totally not on the shop but they were so caring and compassionate especially Mario and Juanita and another Gentleman with dreds☺️. It took awhile for my bleeding to stop but they were patient and attentive and didn’t stop until my bleeding stopped and it was safe for me to go home. I love this shop and the individuals who work there I won’t be going anywhere else ever! Thank you Guys ☺️

Fantastic experience: I have gotten two piercings here, my septum and my eyebrow, they were both pierced correctly and healed in an appropriate time. Recently got a tattoo here, it was $100 for a completely blacked out figure of a girl on my upper arm. My tattoo artist was Oscar, he was very friendly and didn’t great job at shading my tattoo and checking in with me. He thought explained the cleaning process and was very patient.

Fantastic experience: I came in for a belly piercing on their flash day only $18 and it was my first time coming to the location. Let me just say I will be coming back. Their piercer Mario, is the BEST! Super profession. If I had more money would have definitely gotten more pierced. CHECK THEM OUT!!

Negative experience: Don’t come here unless you check with your artist’s work first. Came in on a Tuesday for the Flash sale really excited, as this would be my second tattoo. It was pretty busy but im a super patient person so it was no big deal!! I ended up choosing the dice, and it came out pretty bad. He did shading without consulting me about it and In the middle of getting my tattoo done I was being charged because “they forgot” to charge me before starting. I wasn’t planning on leaving without paying, he could’ve waited until I was finished :(

Negative experience: Had us waiting almost 30 mins for a quick re pierce. Took my money and then took 6 customers before providing service…. Not welcoming at all.

Fantastic experience: This has to be the best tattoo/piercing shop around the neighborhood. Everyone there is so friendly and they make you feel very welcome. All the guys in there are great in their work and even the one who does the piercings is super kool and friendly that’s why people keep going back for more piercings.. I highly recommend this place to anyone I know. The prices, well it all depends on the tattoo you get and how big or small. They do be having great sales though. So if you are looking for a place to go for your next tattoo or piercing and you seen this shop, why not stop by and check it out. Doesn’t hurt to check out their work. And again I highly recommend this place.

Negative experience: I was excited to go to this shop for months to have probably the worse experience. I went to get my tongue pierced yesterday and it did not feel right. My tongue completely went numb. I tried to tell the piercer and he was completely rude and was like it was normal. I have a lot of piercings and this one did not feel right. I asked him to remove it, he gave me attitude, and said to basically leave it in or take it out myself… Not only was he rude to me but also completely messed up my finances piercing as well. This was my first and last time coming.

Fantastic experience: At the age of 17 I came here with my sister while she got her tattoo and i couldn’t since I was 17 they were so nice they told me to come here once im 18! And I did! The staff is very sweet ! They have amazing artists I got a tattoo and a piercing! Clean place :D

Fantastic experience: I love it here very friendly I got a piercing, the guy that did my piercing very friendly and nice did I say professional.

Negative experience: The people working here are very kind but I don’t think the piercer is very experienced. The placement was off, my lip wasn’t measured for the placement and was freehanded- the piercer corrected it 3 times and it was uneven still, and the piercer hit a vein. The side of my lip where he hit the vein wouldn’t stop throbbing and I had to take it out. Once I took it out, blood came rushing out and didn’t stop for about 5 mins. I wouldn’t recommend getting a piercing here :(

Fantastic experience: I got 3 relatively complex piercings here. The healing has been largely flawless with a few scabs because of the locations that went away with saline soaks/washes. The piercer was quick and very professional, and the sales here are the best I’ve ever seen anywhere due to jewelry being included in pricing. I highly highly highly recommend Apocalipsis to anyone and everyone who wants a fantastic, thorough, quick, cheap, and clean piercing experience. My friend and I are headed in tomorrow to get their eyebrow pierced! Thank you Apocalipsis!

Fantastic experience: I love this tattoo shop! I’ve been there three times, and every time I walk in the door, I’m greeted with a smile. Everyone there is so nice and does such a great job explaining everything. Plus, it’s clean, they offer deals, and they try to work with you to help stay within your budget. Cous (visiting artist) has done all three of my tattoos and has done an amazing job each time! He’s so precise and takes his time to make sure everything is perfect. I'll be back soon to let them work their magic. Oh, and I love the wheel that you get to spin to get a gift! It's so cute.

Fantastic experience: I WISH I CAME HERE FOR MY FIRST TATTOO!! Starting off they have a wonderful person greet you at the counter (I believe jay was her name) making you feel welcomed, and the artist she got for me stiven was just amazing, he really cares about his art not just a check and that radiates. Fantastic experience: Phenomenal staff/service! It was super easy and fast to get a walk in tattoo. The artist was great, probably the most comfortable/painless peice ive had done. They were even generous enough to give my girlfriend and I both free peircings as well, which went just as smoothly, so again huge shout out to the artist and the piercer, can't recommend this place enough! Definitely having more work done next time im in Chicago!

Negative experience: barely satisfied with results. requested birds with clouds background was charged 350 the day of appointment when original price was AND prepayment was 250. made a 100 deposit A WEEK before appointment as well. tattoo just barely covered the portion i requested.

Fantastic experience: I’d first like to say that all of the people there are super friendly and sweet, the place itself is a comfy environment with art all over and a great song playlist, it was very clean as well The artist that did my two tattoos did a wonderful job she did very clean and precise work even when I began twitching, which they offered numbing cream with no extra cost it worked in seconds and helped a lot I couldn’t feel anything. My boyfriend says that the artist that did his tattoo was very kind she was understanding when he needed to take lots of breaks and they gave him a bunch of sweets to help haha

Fantastic experience: This is my first time here and it more than likely not be my last. Their "may the 4th be with you" star wars day sales too good to pass. Emma my artist was thorough and paid attention to the details as well as made the minor modifications to the tattoo as I requested. Truly a good experience.

Negative experience: I can’t remember her name right now but she worked very fast, kept checking on me, and was very polite… I Like my tattoo. HOWEVER, she scarred my arm. Plus I found out afterwards that I was overcharged $250 for this tattoo when it should’ve been like $100, and $160 for my ankle tattoo that would cost half that price. Even the manager first said $80 only to jump the price to $260 and I had to negotiate to get it down to $160 smh. And I ended up being there for 3 hours because the artist couldn’t get the placement right. My tattoos were medium size at most, and I shouldn’t have spent more than $200 total for both. I feel like I got conned out of my money. They did a good job so I’ll give them 2 stars instead of 1 star, but overcharging me left a very bad impression on me… I’ve asked many tattoo artists since then and have been told that o was overcharged. Shame on you guys… I’m very upset on this matter.

Fantastic experience: This place is perfect for anyone who is interested in getting more tattoos at a reasonable price, or your very first. I got this amazing artwork on the day of the 23rd anniversary. (Actually got two tattoos that day) I don’t plan on ever going anywhere else to get my tattoos done. The staff is amazing and always so friendly! I highly recommend this place to everyone out there!!

Negative experience: Went in for one of the $35 dollar tattoo days and picked an $80 design. I assumed it would be done by an experienced tattoo artist and would be of high quality. The tattoo I got was AWFUL and I am ASHAMED to have it on my body in such a visible area. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE NOVICE TATTOO ARTISTS DOING PAID TATTOOS ON PEOPLE. This is apprentice quality (if that) and should not be acceptable. The shading and linework is AWFUL. I have already booked an appointment with my usual artist at Chicago Tattoo (Michael Tofano) to fix it. Go there instead and stay away from this place.

Negative experience: Do not get any piercings here, took my daughter for a belly piercing which not only got infected, but they pierced her with the wrong jewelry, also pinched too much skin. Terrible piercer

Everyone is so nice! Usually I feel intimidated by tattoo shops, but not here. The staff is amazing and super friendly!!!!

Negative experience: I hate to do this review since my previous experiences here were great. The staff is always nice and friendly. But this piercing does not look right. Went in for an industrial piercing and showed him a picture of how wanted it look too. But it just doesn't look the same.

Negative experience: Wasn’t allowed to get tattooed what I wanted. It’s my body my choice right ? I just think the guys who work there must be rival gang members to the members who wear crowns on them.. just because I want a crown doesn’t make me a gang member right ?

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place. Went a few years ago (maybe 5 years) and that tattoo still looks amazing, so when a friend suggested we return I couldn't say no. Definitely went with a budget and went over slightly. However, the artist sketch and attention to detail had me sold. Part way through I was thinking something was missing, but without us speaking, the artist seemed to feel the same way and kept adding more to make it perfect. So much more than i was expecting. He went above and beyond. This tattoo means alot to me because it is of my special needs soul dog and I definitely love it and will return for more. Staff was also super friendly and helpful. Such a great place. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time going to the shop and I will definitely be back. Everyone was so welcoming and the shop is so clean. I felt so safe being there and being around all the artists. I got my ears pierced by Jay and they did such a great job. Sophia did my tattoo and she is so great and so professional! Positive experience: I was waiting to review until I knew for sure that my piercings were fine. They were not. 2/3 piercings got infected. Wrong jewelry was used for my ears. I thought maybe just swapping them out would fix them but I went to another piercer and he recommended I let them close and try to pierce again later because it was pierced incorrectly. He asked where I got my piercing done & when I told him he said “yeah I fixed at least 4 peoples piercing’s who got them done there”. I went during the $20 piercing sale. Sucks because the customer service was awesome & I’ve gotten two tattoos here as well.

Fantastic experience: Jesus (Chu Cho) did my fine line tattoo today and it was absolutely perfect. The line work was great and he was enjoyable to talk to. All the staff made our time there a blast as a group of us went for a bachelorette weekend activity for tattoos and piercings. Mario ( I believe did the piercing) and he was also amazing! I would reccomend Apocalipsis to anyone looking for a new tattoo or piercing.

The whole staff is super friendly and welcoming the minute you walk through the door. Mario is so fun and energetic to be around when getting pierced, my absolute favorite! Negative experience: Went for a conch piercing and the service was horrible. Didn’t talk thru what he was doing or when he was about to pierce my ear. The piercing was done incorrectly, a curved jewelry was put in. I had to go elsewhere to get it changed. Left with a bloody ear.

Fantastic experience: I was destined to arrive at this location today while traveling from Wisconsin to Kentucky and I asked if someone could tattoo the evil eye (as it holds great meaning in my life). I regret that I can’t remember the name of who did it, but the energy of this entire atmosphere was very positive, and the tattooer was so genuine, and did an AMAZING job! Here’s a photo. (Still red because I just got it done hours ago lol) now not only do I have added protection, I have a positive memory of my experience. Thank you!
