Fantastic experience: I had my tattoo done by Andy at Taupou Tatau and I am absolutely happy with the result. The tattoo is beautiful and turned out even better than I imagined. Andy took the time to listen to my ideas and created a design that is very meaningful to me, connected to my children. I felt very comfortable the whole time. Andy’s wife Sara organised everything so kindly and professionally, and the atmosphere in the studio felt warm, welcoming, and almost like family. Man kommt mit einer ungefähren Idee in das Studio und lässt sich anschließend von Andy mit seiner langjährigen Erfahrung beraten. Das Resultat ist schlichtweg unglaublich, die Präzision und Genauigkeit zudem Kreativität seiner Arbeit sucht seines gleichen. Für mich trifft die Bezeichnung „Tattoo Artist“ bei Andy erst recht zu. Der ganze Laden wirkt sehr idyllisch und entspannt, ein Ort zum wohlfühlen. Jede einzelne Person im Studio ist extrem nett und zuvorkommend. Der Familiäre Aspekt ist schön mit anzuschauen da auch seine Kinder tatkräftig ihren Teil beisteuern. Ein Wiedersehen ist garantiert auch wenn ich den ganzen Weg aus Deutschland auf mich nehmen muss, die Frage ob es sich für mich lohnt, auf jeden Fall.

Positive experience: Didn't end up booking because no one responded to my request for deposit banking info etc, Their initial communication was highly pleasant but then they referred me to another studios artist but then came back to me with another option so a bit of back and forth this was all after advising them that after enquiring with another artist who seemed uninterested in communicating.

Fantastic experience: I did my first tattoo here with Tua (@asomua_taupoutatau). Can´t be more pleased about it. Everything was very smooth, clean and chill. Atmosphere was very nice and so were the other artists in the studio. Very recommended for polynesian style tattoo, even they also do other kind of tattoos. Tua was very patient, funny and fussy, in a good way, trying to make a perfect tatto. Also took good care before, during and after the ink. He even sent me a detailed explanation of my tattoo afterwards. Completely recommended place to go for a lifetime piece of art. Thank you Taupou team ;)

Fantastic experience: I figured since I'm going to be in New Zealand and I love tattoos, might as well get a Polynesian piece while there. I did my research and after looking at several studios, I found Taupou Tatau Tattoo Studio on google and Instagram. So I contacted the shop manager, Sapphire, who contacted me back within a very quick time frame, and we discussed price ( 150/hr)(also keep in mind cash only) and lastly the design. She set me up with a young man by the name of Tua then the appointment date. I got to the shop the day of my appointment and was delighted at the setup of the shop, the cleanliness, and the energy of the shop was friendly. I met my artist Tua, who knew what I wanted from the information I gave Sapphire and we went ahead and jumped in. He started the session by drawing and designing a custom piece that went on my left pectoral (called a plate). We then began the tattooing process and it took a total of 4.5 hours. No words can describe how impressed and in awe I am of my tattoo and yes I definitely say my tattoo because no one else will ever have this exact design. Every time I look at this tattoo I find a something new and I love that! Thank you Tua for an amazing tattoo and great experience.

Negative experience: I got tattooed there about 1,5 years ago, and unfortunately I am very disappointed with what I have got. The tattooist was ok, his designs were nice, but the result isn’t great, and I will have to cover it. We had lots of recommandations about this tattoo studio, but should have been more careful and choose the right tattooist.

Fantastic experience: I'm unbelievable satisfied with this barber! Even when my english wasn't very good they knew what to do and they were very polite. I walked in 30 minutes before they were closing and he still took his time for me and didn't hurry to get me finished. Definetly recommendable!
