Fantastic experience: Amazing place! Chris is a fantastic piercer, always talks me through any worries I have and recommendations if I'm unsure how I want certain piercings. He is the only person I trust to do my piercings and looking forward to getting my tattoos there too, the artists always seen so happy and friendly

Fantastic experience: Beyond happy that I chose Bex to do my second tattoo! Absolutely thrilled with the finished piece which was exactly what I had in mind. The studio is a lovely environment, can't stress enough how friendly everyone is. Plenty of parking nearby (I parked on St Georges car park just over the road which was around £4 for the whole day, plenty of spaces on a Saturday morning). If you're considering it - do it!! I can't wait to go back

Fantastic experience: Lovely studio that you are instantly made comfortable in no matter if you have been many times or are a new customer. I have been getting tattooed by one of the artists here (Kat) for years and will continue to do so as she is fantastic at what she does. All of the surrounding artists include you in conversations so you never feel excluded. Had a septum piercing done by Chris, he is also lovely. Made sure I was completely happy with it, offered complete aftercare advice and advice on where to get new jewellery once healed.

Fantastic experience: Really lovely tattoo studio, very clean and comfortable. I saw Bex who was wonderful, had great ideas for my pieces, and made me feel immediately at ease. The time absolutely flew by! Parking on the quiet roads nearby.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Cult of the Sphynx enough! Been getting tattooed by Amy for a couple years now and she's absolutely amazing. I got my first tattoo with her, and I was terrified, but she was so calming, helpful and easy to talk to, it'd felt like we'd known each other for years instead of a couple of hours. Everything I've asked for, she's absolutely nailed and I'm so happy with her work. Everyone there is so nice and friendly, it really feels like a family. Sometimes I'll book a tattoo just to go and hang out with everyone for the day. The studio is in a great area with plenty of parking options nearby, and the vibes inside are immaculate. Would defo recommend :)

I’ve had five pieces done by the brilliant Amy but every single time I’ve gone in the whole team have been so welcoming and friendly, Chris and Bex have really made a little family in their studio and I’d gladly send anyone I know there - and often do try to!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Cult of the Sphynx/Amy (@amykate_illustrates) since 2020 when she was an apprentice and have been tattooed by Amy almost every year since. She did my third tattoo ever! Most of my work by her has been flash (my cat gallery ‍⬛), with my last being a commission for metal script across my knees which she absolutely nailed. I am in love with everything she has done, she is the loveliest person and I always look forward to appointments with her. Even though I don’t live in the West Midlands now, I will make the trip from Nottingham to see her again I’m sure! The shop is also great, super accessible from the train station, in a private building, and Bex and Chris who run it are lovely. Such a friendly atmosphere!

Fantastic experience: When I moved to Wolverhampton I was struggling to find a tattoo artist or studio that I really liked the look of. I was the told about Cult Of The Sphynx and I'm so glad I was. After was research on who works there I contacted Amy regarding an idea for a tattoo I wanted. She was brilliant, very helpful and the design was stunning. The process was simple and Amy made sure any questions I had were answered really quickly. Since then I have had two tattoos with a third booked in for May! Fantastic experience: There are no words to describe how wonderful this place is. It is filled with incredibly talented and friendly artists and with a great studio manager too. Bex and Chris really put me at ease and they were very sweet, considerate and great to be around. I am absolutely obsessed with my new tattoo and whilst I did experience some pain towards the end, Bex and Chris checked in on my wellbeing consistently and provided support throughout. It is by far the best tattooing experience I have been lucky to have. Everyone is super knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. It's situated in a quaint area and the interior design is nothing short of stunning. I genuinely couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you for the amazing experience and I can't wait to come back soon!

Fantastic experience: Got my sternum tattoo’d by Mez and had the best experience, was a little lost as I’ve not been to Wolverhampton before, and I was welcomed and guided to the studio by the other lovely artists, was offered beverages several times and was offered breaks whenever I needed them, overall the vibes were just great, all the artists make you feel at home and they are all super talented. Overall 10/10 experience and I will definitely be returning for some more tattoos in the future! :)

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Cult of the Sphynx for over 2 years after a recommendation from a friend. I have had multiple piercings and tattoos here, and have taken both my Mom and daughter here for piercings. The shop is clean, and you can see everything is sterile and safe. The staff are all friendly and down to earth, you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Chris (the piercer) is amazing, he really takes the time to listen to what you want and goes through the aftercare with you, and is contactable for any questions you may have. Sam (my tattosit) is not only crazily talented but she is lovely too, and makes getting a tattoo such a fab experience. Every artist at the shop offers different styles and whatever tattoo you're looking for would be in safe hands here.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Cult of the Sphynx for tattoos for a few years now and always get tattooed by Kat. I adore Kat because she always has amazing designs for me and I'm always ecstatic every time because she knows me so well by now that she completely gets what I'm thinking and is always up for trying something new. Her colour tattoos are to die for and her realism tattoos that she has done for me are even more amazing and she is always really helpful with tattoo aftercare. The shop itself is light, clean and airy and the other members of staff are amazing and professional as well as chatty and welcoming and create a wonderful atmosphere and I always leave with a smile on my face from the wonderful interactions and new piece of beautiful artwork on my body. I have no plans of going elsewhere for tattoos but would love to have tattoos from the other artists once Kat has finished my leg tattoo

Fantastic experience: Cult of the sphynx is a five star studio. Everything about this place is to a top quality from the way the studio is clean and hygienic, services completed in a safe manner, artists wonderful to work with and brilliant at making the experience more enjoyable, to the environment and how nicely it’s decorated. I cannot recommend and praise this place and its team enough!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting tattoos from Sam for 6/7 years now & the shop is great. The atmosphere is lovely, the rest of the team are so friendly. If you want to get tattooed somewhere really comfortable & welcoming these guys are the one! Things to note: they don’t have a car park but there is road parking just outside the courtyard, just be able of time limits.

Fantastic experience: I can only speak highly of Cult of the Sphynx. The staff there are brilliant, and the studio is always clean and hygienic. I won't go anywhere else for my tattoos now.

Fantastic experience: I went on my 18th for my first tattoo and was so scared about having it done. But Sam was so lovely, she made sure to talk to me during the tattoo and told me what i needed to do aftercare wise. It was my first time visiting and everyone in the studio was really welcoming, friendly and most of all I felt so comfortable. Fantastic experience: I was lucky enough to be tattooed by Sam and I am thrilled with what she created. She is super friendly and accommodating and her colour work is outstanding. She makes you feel really at ease and comfortable and like you’re being tattooed by a friend. On a personal level, I also have to commend the entire team. As someone who suffers from social anxiety and new situations, I immediately felt at ease when I walked into the studio. There is such a friendly atmosphere, the team all get on so well and everyone talks to you. I didn’t feel as though I had any cause to be nervous which was very comforting. If you need to take a break you’re able to do so, Sam regularly checked I was okay and comfortable and I just really appreciated the vibe. If you’re of a nervous disposition, this is the place for you ❤️

Fantastic experience: Went here today for my piercings. The piercer (Chris) was amazing and really professional and friendly. The hygiene was amazing and i felt really safe here. It was quick and well executed, was even given some after care spray. Will definitely go here again

Fantastic experience: I love this studio, I've never felt more at home. The tattooists and piecer are all such a close nit family and they make you feel like extended family the moment you walk in. I've been tattooed 5 times by Amy, she's such a doll, super friendly, talented, and can't do enough to make sure you're a million percent happy with your tattoo. More than happy with all of mine I'm sure I'll be back to her for more. I've also been tattooed by Sheridan, she's also a doll, very talented, friendly, and I'm sure I'll be going back to her for more at some point too! Now, on to Chris the piercer , I've had 2 piercings by Chris, he's super friendly, patient, very knowledgeable and talented also. I'll probably go back for more piercings at some point too So yeah,..while I haven't had any tattoos by Bex, Kat or Sam, they're bloody lovely ladies too, and all so talented. Such a great atmosphere here. Well done guys, you're all a good buncha people.

Fantastic experience: If you like the art style of any tattooist here you're guaranteed an amazing tattoo. Have been tattooed by Sam many times, She always combines my idea and her style/design into something awesome, always prioritises my comfort and hopefully will finish my sleeve soon :). Fantastic experience: I've been tattooed by 3 Artists there (Pumpkinblood, Amy Kate and Pretty Grotesque) - they have been lovely, patient, respectful and made me feel extremely safe during my tattoo appointments. Everyone there is absolutely fabulous!

Fantastic experience: Had a large portrait done of my two dogs (one deceased) and not only did Kat make the most beautiful drawing of them but she also made my 6+ hours of tattooing an enjoyable experience! Everyone there was friendly and welcoming and I can’t wait to get more tattoos from both Kat and others there. All the artists there are so talented and treat their clients really well. I have since had a tattoo done by Sam and I had so much fun geeking out with her over shared interests. Can’t wait to go back soon for more!

Fantastic experience: I've been getting tattooed by Sam for 3 years now and I am always thrilled with the results, not to mention how kind she is, I absolutely adore her! I've also been pierced by Chris many times and always feel comfortable and safe in the studio. Everytime I visit the whole cult family make me feel welcome and involved, from buying me food on full tattoo days to singing disney songs with Sam and Kat the atmosphere is amazing❤️

Her tattoos are not only incredible but Sam is very good at making you feel comfortable while being tattooed. The studio is inviting and an awesome place to be. I did an all day session 3 separate tattoo and the quickness and and lack of pain I felt after she tattoo makes me exited for more coloration with her in the future, of the design ideas I have. Fantastic experience: Absolutely love coming here every time! Everyone is friendly and chatty and Sam is my fave tattooist! She is friendly, chatty and tattoos gently so I always feel comfortable when I go here. I recently also had my lip pierced here and Chris was great and making sure it was in the right place, that the pain wasn't too much and even had a cleaning solution available for me to get (which has been great for quick cleans and healing). I'll be coming again for more tattoos and I absolutely want something by the other tattooists here too, because their art is amazing!

The shop was clean, all the staff were friendly and Chris put me at ease and was very informative about the piercing process and how to look after the piercings. Every single one of the artists are caring and super creative with their designs, I have had many tattoos by bex who is an absolute superstar every design she creates is beautiful! I recently had a tattoo by the amazing Amy too who I still can't believe is only an apprentice! The ram skull she did for me was absolutely amazing! Fantastic experience: Booked in last Saturday to get upper lobes and a helix piercing done and couldn't be happier. Chris was super informative about the procedure, gave me his honest opinion about what jewellery would be best to keep in while they heal and gave me lots of advice on caring for my new piercings while they heal (and they're healing amazingly). The shop looks cool inside too, had a very nice vibe about it and the other staff/artists seemed lovely from what I could tell. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I got tattood here today and it was amazing. They're super accomodating and kind, I felt completely at home. My artist today was Sheridan and she's so talented! It was a big tattoo but she made the time go by so fast and made sure I was comfy all the way through. The tattoo turned out so good, even better than I'd been hoping. I really can't recommend her enough, she's amazing!

Fantastic experience: By far the most welcoming and lovely studio I have ever been to. All the artists are super friendly and everybody makes you feel really at ease and have a jolly good laugh. Bex has done some amazing tattoos on me and my boy and her husband Chris is a wizard in the piercing department and managed to make my girl shirl look even more beautiful with some excellent piercings. Highly recommend this place it's absolutely excellent and everyone there goes above and beyond to provide such a good service.

Both Sheridan and Sam are incredible tattooists and have looked after me with every session I've booked with them. The tattoo shop itself has such a friendly, warm atmosphere. I can really have a good laugh while I'm being stabbed with a painful needle. 10/10 will always return back!

Fantastic experience: ive had a tattoo off Amy recently and i cannot recommended her enough, she is one of the loveliest people i have ever met and was super helpful with everything. I also had a tattoo off sam and she was the exact same, lovely environment made me feel so comfortable. This whole shop makes you feel like you’re part of the family and its such a cosy environment to be in.

Fantastic experience: The greatest group of people and fantastic artists. Always accommodating and incredibly friendly. Easy to book (they respectfully ask for email correspondence when booking, which some people ignore I'm sure) and provide great aftercare. You won't find a better place than this in the Midlands for your tattooing needs!

Fantastic experience: This studio is by far the best one I’ve been to. Went for a custom tattoo for my girlfriend drawn by Sheridan and she did an incredible job. Everyone in the studio makes you feel so welcome by chatting to you and they all have the personalities. All of them are incredible artists and we will be going back as soon as we get the chance to. Negative experience: One staff member was rude when I messaged about when she had space and was basically rude to me and was like I don’t check my books, you need to wait for when I can I just found it quite rude this was over message

Negative experience: Went in to get a piercing a few weeks ago, got apprached by a young lad asking how he could help, i told him i wanted a piercing and he had to stand there and explain to me that the piercer was ASLEEP at the back of the shop and everyone else who worked there were messing about and drawing on him. An absolute embarassment of a shop and i certainly wont be going back, i will be telling everyone just how unprofessional they are in there, couldnt help but feel sorry for the boy, having to tell a customer that everyone was busy because of this. An absolute joke
