UN1TY Tattoo

Fantastic experience: I recently visited Un1ty Tattoo at their newer premises (and couldn’t resist buying a t-shirt too!). It’s a genuinely welcoming studio with a great atmosphere, and somewhere I immediately feel comfortable and at ease. As for Anna... I’ve known her for many years and have been getting tattooed by her for almost as long! She has worked on several larger pieces for me, some of which are still ongoing, and I’ve always appreciated how collaborative the process feels. My tattoos genuinely feel like a partnership between artist and client, which is exactly what I personally look for. Anna always makes me feel relaxed and welcome, and I genuinely enjoy my sessions with her. I would highly recommend both Anna and the studio to anyone looking for a professional, safe and supportive environment where they can comfortably express themselves. The studio itself is extremely well established, with talented artists who each bring their own individual specialties and styles. It is clean, professional and hygienic - exactly what you would expect from a reputable studio where high standards and client safety are clearly taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: When I started my first tattoo at age 40 in 2012 few people said I will regret it. So, in response to that, now 14 years later I say I love all my tattoos (the first one and the three large scale that followed) more than ever. I feel they always been part of me and my skin. I truly believe that this is down to the professionalism and skill that Jo has ingrained in her art of tattooing. Very recently a fellow traveller have commented on my Japanese style dragon tattoo saying how amazing the detail was, to which I replied it’s been done 10 years ago and is still looks as good as the day it was done. Jo Harrison without a doubt is the best tattoo artist you can find. Consider yourself lucky and get on that waiting list, it is so worth waiting. The space at Un1ty is super clean, friendly and welcoming. All other tattoo artist that I encounter there are interesting and genuinely nice people. The vibe in the studio is always chilled and fun, which helps a lot when sitting with discomfort for many hours. Yes, pain is part of the process getting a tattoo you need to be prepared for it, but it will be fine. Jo has always made me feel comfortable and looked after me with great care. I never had any issues with post tattoo healing, no infections or scabbing or losing colour. With my hand on my heart, I vouch for Jo’s work, and I am sure the same goes for all tattoo artist that work at Un1ty studio. If you are looking for a good tattooist and a quality tattoo, you will definitely find one here at Un1ty studio. Go for it, you will love it!

Fantastic experience: Had a chest tattoo done by Aaron after a recommendation by a friend and taking a look at his style. I love his work and the tattoo is exactly what I was looking for when I first contacted him a few months ago. Love the classic style that he did for me and really like how he linked it into my existing tattoos. Also a great person to talk to during the session which I always great as a distraction, Definitely worth the long drive. Also the studio itself is absolutely stunning, definitely the nicest I have been to.

Fantastic experience: Breeze is absolutely top notch as an artist and the experience at the shop is always top tier. I've been getting tattooed by Breeze for the best part of 10 years now, he's always super welcoming and professional and a genuinely good dude. Always happy to talk through designs and find what works best for you to make sure you leave with a stellar experience, can't rate him and his work highly enough. Un1ty as a studio is also A1; cleanliness, customer service and friendly artists really make this place separate to other studios in the area.

Fantastic experience: Aaron Breeze is a exceptional tattoo artist who I return to over and over again. He is great with the traditional style that I like and is very approachable with design changes.

Fantastic experience: Matt Hunt is a fantastic tattooist, he is highly experienced and incredibly talented. He has an eye for detail and colour that makes him my go too tattooist. I’ve had two full arm sleeves and look forward to more. If you’re into a Japanese style and want a tattooist who is talented, knowledgeable and will help guide you with your ideas then look no further.

Fantastic experience: Have followed Anna Garvey here from her old shop in Nottingham - this one is even prettier! Nice to get a nature tattoo done in a shop by the river :). 100% trust that I can come to Anna with a wacky, half-baked idea and she can work it up into a beautifully designed and exquisitely executed tattoo, and that the sitting will be a pleasure too. Could not recommend more.

The studio is light, airy, and spotlessly clean. Matt is extremely talented, passionate and consultative. He works with you, your body and your wants, needs, and limitations. If you need a trixy cover up or are considering a bespoke, black work piece go see him. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I walked into Unity early February last year on a whim. It was the best thing I did! I met Jo and she saw my despair quickly, she took a photo of my shoulder and ensured me my scar could be disguised. A few weeks later I met Anna and my journey began. Being 53 and never having a tattoo before I was so so nervous and a little terrified, Anna put me at ease right away and I knew I was in safe hands. Spending hours under close proximity with Anna was really easy, she has the amazing ability to read if you if you want to chat or not. I'm now left with an amazing tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Anna Garvey is an amazing artist. She designed and executed an amazing botanical and nature based scar cover up tattoo on my wife. The flow and colours and detail are utterly stunning. As a surprise for my wife she also did a small but amazing piece on me too. Anna is a brilliant and talented tattoo artist and a wonderful person. The creative process was collaborative and she nailed the brief. On the day the studio blew me away - great location, lively and welcoming vibe, art everywhere and of course super clean. Plus and picked up a new favourite t-shirt. I really highly recommend Anna and Unity Tattoo.

Fantastic experience: I'm five sessions in to a full sleeve nature/Escher-inspired scar cover up tattoo with Jo Harrison, and it's been a five-star experience every step of the way. Jo is phenomenally talented, knowledgeable, and experienced, and she's also a phenomenally lovely person. She balances exceptional technical ability with warmth and care, in a way that makes you feel completely safe in her hands, both physically and artistically. I feel genuinely honoured to be tattooed by her. Jo and Matt have created an absolutely beautiful space - the studio is welcoming and inspiring (as well as super clean and well-equipped), and it's a genuine joy spending time here. Since Jo's books are (unsurprisingly) very full, it can take a while to get an appointment, but the whole process is handled very efficiently and fairly by Victoria, and communication has always been quick and super informative. The design process has been excellent too. I had a few ideas, but I knew I'd need Jo's expertise to bring it to life and make it work with my scars, and she's created a design that's better than I could ever have imagined. Looking forward to many more sessions here! PS: shout-out to Benji for being the cutest studio mascot and always guarding my shoes!

Fantastic experience: Working with Hanumantra (Matt) has highlighted to me tattoo's are more than just Drawings on skin. I enjoy every moment working with Matt and watching his blackwork art come to life. Before coming to U1NITY. I thought tattoo's simply weren't for me. I came to UN1TY wanting to transform my look by covering up terrible tattoo's in hope of achieving a bold blackwork sleeve. My nerves and doubts vanished after the warm welcome I received from the Team and Matt himself at the studio. I knew after shaking his hand for the first time I was in good hands. In October 2025 - December 2025 I finished my first sleeve with Matt. Now March 2026 Myself & Matt are nearly finished with my second sleeve, and on the exciting road ahead of a developing a bodysuit working with Matt. His care, expertise and knowledge of blackwork tattooing is nothing less than outstanding. And for the rest of the team, even if they aren't drawing or tattooing on you, they are so kindhearted and interested about your tattoo journey and everything else in between❤️ I can't thank Matt and the team at UN1TY enough for bringing my envisioned identity to life.

Fantastic experience: I've been getting my back tattooed by Hanumantra for a few years now. His work is absolutely amazing. His level of dedication to Flawless Blackwork is unmatched. I would recommend him to anyone wanting Custom, bespoke, free hand Blackwork that fits the body perfectly. He always makes me feel at home. And the conversation is just as good as his tattoos. The new studio is beautiful. The perfect mix of private studio vibes and an old school street shop. With all the talented artists working there I think you'd be hard pushed to not leave happy. Fantastic experience: Everything has been spot on since I first reached out to Aaron at Unity last year. He was always easy to get hold of for queries or ideas and sent over some solid drawings beforehand. On the day, I actually threw some last-minute design changes at him, and he was more than happy to make the tweaks. Fantastic experience: Coming to UN1TY Tattoo is a wonderful experience. I'm on my second sleeve session with Jo Harrisson, we are doing a full arm scar cover up. Fantastic experience: I recently finished a blackout/blast over with Matt Hunt, I'm extremely happy with the result and can finally wear tshirts again now my 00's half sleeve is hidden by beautiful black, flowers and waves, in a negative space blackout sleeve. He does incredible Japanese work, black work and more that will stand the test of time. Additionally he's also a great dude who I enjoyed being around and talking to during my time in the chair!

Fantastic experience: I've been getting tattooed by Matt Hunt for about 15 years now. Always a fantastic experience and I've loved watching his style change over the years and it reflected in the pieces he has completed. I've got roses, lots of skulls, birds; realistic and nature-inspired, as well as Japanese-inspired shading on pieces. I'd strongly encourage you to look at his portfolio and more recent work. Regarding the UN1TY studio itself... Well... It's ace. It's welcoming, comfortable and in a beautiful location.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Un1ty right from the off, communication through emails with design ideas for Jo was very easy, then first time at the studio was awesome! Victoria and all the tattoo artists are very friendly and make you feel really welcome, it’s a very relaxed atmosphere with a great vibe, everything is immaculate. I chose Jo because I wanted my design to be freehand and my theme was nature related (birds & flowers) which Jo is a master at. My first session was great, Jo listened to my ideas and then drew straight onto my skin, the end result is amazing showing a unique tattoo with Jo’s Japanese nature flair. I have been tattooed by Jo for a few years and enjoy every session, full throat & neck completed, and many more cool projects to come. I can’t recommend Jo and Un1ty enough.

Fantastic experience: Un1ty has such a great atmosphere with so many talented tattooists. I’m fortunate to be able to say that I have been tattooed by Hanumantra and Jo Harrison. Hanumantra’s Blackwork is the best in the business, his freehand lines are so sharp & on point. Give him an idea of what you like and just let him work his magic, the end result will be awesome. The way Hanumantra ties his blackwork into Jo’s colour is such a great contrast, so much so I’m now in the middle of a collaboration with them both, which is something very cool and will be quite special once complete. Although they have very different styles they are both equally as passionate at what they do which is evident in every step of the journey from the initial lines to their knowledge of the machines. There’s always a great atmosphere between the artists with friendly banter which you quite easily become part of, never an uncomfortable moment, it does feel like you’re amongst friends, to top it off there’s always some quality tunes on in the background. Definitely would recommend Un1ty.

Fantastic experience: I got an amazing tattoo from Anna Garvey, who is part of the lovely Unity team. This was my first tattoo and Anna and the team did everything possible to make me feel confident and comfortable. I enjoyed the sessions. I opted for a nature tattoo to cover post-surgery scar tissue. I am so happy with the results, it has really changed how I feel about my surgery.

Fantastic experience: I recently traveled all the way from Porto, Portugal to UN1TY's studio just to get a tattoo from Hanumantra. I had my eye on his black work tattoos for a while and I finally decided to get one. It was the best decision I've made. I couldn't be happier with the result! Hanumantra's work is excepcional and you can really feel his passion in the process. I was super well received there and felt really comfortable. The environment was super friendly and it's incredible to see how all tattoo artists get along there. It really ads to the vibe and how comfortable you are in such a sensitive moment. I have to add that the details during the process were just too notch. I've been to a few studios in my life, but this one takes the top spot. Thank you UN1TY crew for everything, really appreciate it!

Fantastic experience: Coming from a medical background, I did a great deal of research before choosing a tattoo studio. Choosing UN1TY, I wasn’t disappointed. The environment was exceptionally clean, welcoming and professional. Equally importantly, the tattoo artists were friendly and exceptionally talented. I have returned for several tattoos and Jo is exceptional in her field. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Jo has designed a back tattoo for me from ideas I brought to her which reflect people I love and are still with me but also people I have lost. I felt she listened to what I wanted and we worked together to get it right and I love it. The tattoo reflects everything in nature that I love and the colour is amazing. Jo works in a calm and measured way which made me feel instantly relaxed and I would highly recommend her if you want some unique and special.

Fantastic experience: Jo Harrison is an incredible artist who sensitively works with her client to create a piece of art unique to their story. As a cancer survivor choosing to have a mastectomy tattoo was a big decision. From the first consultation and appointment I had absolute faith in her and have enjoyed seeing my tattoo develop from my idea into body art that has helped me regain my confidence. Scar cover-up and mastectomy tattoos can be such a healing part of the journey and her style of Japanese and nature tattoo is incredible. I have one session left and am so excited to see the final piece.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic studio. If you know Hanumantra's work I don't need to explain it, but if not go check it out. The process of designing / drawing directly onto your body means anything from Hanumantra is truly unique and designed for your body. I am halfway through a full sleeve and half torso. Jo Harrison and Arron also create amazing pieces, along with various guest artists. The studio is gorgeous and spotless, as you'd expect from a high end studio. A lovely spot next to the river also. I'm on my 4th visit or so now, and always look forward to coming back. The whole of thing is kept running smoothly by Vicky who makes booking and paying and any other general admin easy. It's a family and good vibe always inside.

Fantastic experience: I first met Jo in the 1990’s, when she had just started her first solo studio in Birmingham; I saw her early highly colourful designs of birds, flowers, and powerful women and Goddesses and knew I had to have her work in my skin. What started as a simple recover for a half-complete backpiece of the Greenman has evolved across my torso, arms, hands, head, and now thighs - with Jo weaving a magical world of symbols, myth and natural beauty, turning the canvas of my body into a beautifully bright Temple to the Old Gods with her delicious Sweet Sting. Getting tattooed by Jo is a genuine pleasure: At every stage from sharing images and inspiring and designing each new piece, to the delicacy and detail of her work, and the professionalism and care of her aftercare, she is the best Artist I know. Jo has been tattooing me now for almost 30 years, in all five of her different studios, and I can honestly say this Un1TY really is the best yet: a beautiful riverside location, a bright and airy studio that allows for both privacy and the friendly buzz from a carefully selected mix of different artists and styles, working together with just one purpose: to give their clients the best possible experience, and to create great work they will be proud to wear for the rest of their lives.

Fantastic experience: I visited UN1TY for the first time earlier this week. The entire studio looks great and has such a nice vibe from the second you walk through the door. I was immediately offered a hot drink and was made to feel very welcome. My appointment was with Aaron Breeze who smashed the design out of the park from the brief that I gave him. I'm super happy with my new tattoo, so much so that I've already made another booking with Aaron for a full day sitting. Thank you Aaron and thank you UN1TY!

Fantastic experience: Regularly travel from Cheltenham to visit Un1ty tattoo to see Aaron Breeze for traditional work. Really love the decor and feel of the shop, super clean, staff are friendly and automated reminders etc are really helpful too. I’ve been to a lot but few are this welcoming

Fantastic experience: Have been booked in with Hanumantra now for sometime, started back in the previous studio, intially messaged about cover ups with no idea how best to go about it, honstley the whole process leaves you feeling really at ease from start to finish and confident in him and the artwork, the wait between appointments is more then worth it but there are always cancellations offered which is great, the studio is a lovley plave to be and always come away feeling very at ease, the commiment he has to detail and getting it right is really respected, had to go with big areas of Blackwork due to cover ups needed but any idea I have had he has tried to incorporate this as close as possible and love what he has created from it.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Jo Harrison highly enough. While this isn’t a scar cover up, Jo has done something incredibly special by blending my existing tattoos into one cohesive, beautiful style. What was once a collection of separate pieces is becoming a single, flowing artwork that feels completely intentional and personal. The tattoo isn’t finished yet, but the experience so far has been amazing. Jo’s expertise, eye for detail, and sensitivity to how everything works together are exceptional. She really listens and brings a calm confidence that makes you trust the process completely. The studio itself is comfortable, clean, and warm, which makes long sessions feel relaxed rather than clinical. And Jo herself is just lovely, kind, easy to talk to, and great company. We’ve had some really lovely conversations along the way, which makes the whole experience even better. I’m already so grateful for the care, skill, and artistry she’s bringing to this piece.

Fantastic experience: I have gotten a full leg sleeve done by Anna Garvey. She has done excellent work on creating a painterly style colourful nature tattoo. Would recommend and Shrewsbury is a great location to travel to if you don't live near by.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Anna at UN1TY tattoo enough and the place itself has fabulous vibes. I had a very big (read: about 7 full days' work) piece done with multiple layers, completely freehand and over surgical scarring. Whole experience was really supportive and wholesome and fun (despite some super painful bits!) It says everything that I travelled across the whole width of England to get to this place and see this specific artist

Fantastic experience: Aaron first tattooed me nearly ten years ago so it’s safe to say I like him and his style, he’s a true artist and super nice too. It was my first time at Un1ty tattoo last week and I couldn’t have been more impressed. It’s a completely different experience to other studios I’ve been to. The building, the space and the decor are fantastic and show real care and attention not just to the ‘job’ of applying ink but to the whole experience. The people too are great, along with the decor, they take all the intimidation away, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and generally lighthearted in spite of the absolute artistic focus. I’ve had a 7 year gap between tattoos, I’ve booked another two slots already. Can’t recommend it highly enough

Fantastic experience: I came here to get a scar cover-up with Jo Harrison and I’m incredibly happy with the result. Jo is an extraordinarily kind, compassionate person; she was professional throughout our sessions and ensured that I was happy and had input in the process every step of the way. She’s so interesting to talk to and knowledgeable about a wide range of topics. I’ve particularly loved hearing about her ecological interests. I will miss our conversations, which always helped with some of the more painful moments of tattooing! Jo is not only a lovely person to work with, but she’s also an incredible artist. She took a handful of ideas and a prompt I gave her, and created a unique, beautiful piece of art that I will be happy to show off for many years to come. I love all the details, the colour work, the attention to little bits and pieces, and how seamlessly she’s fitted everything together from flowers to animation characters to wildlife. The studio itself is lovely; it’s kept to a high standard of cleanliness, and in a great location for accessing Shrewsbury and nearby accommodation. I was very nervous when I showed up for my first session, but when Jo opened the door, beaming with smiles, I knew I’d made the right choice. I would heartily recommend her and her work to anyone.
