Rock'n'Roll Tattoo and Piercing Glasgow

Positive experience: Be cautious with long term projects. Started a sleeve and after a few sessions, I was told by the resident artist that I'd need one more session to fill in the gaps. COVID hit and then the artist had seemingly moved away from RockNRoll the following year when things started to open back up. When he was booking again, he was with another company, I had reached out on IG but got ignored, tried a few times over the years and found that he was back at RockNRoll. I've emailed both the artist and RockNRoll but they haven't bothered responding. Not exactly sure what the issue is but I can't recommend them if they're going to leave a project unfinished. The work that was done was great, but it's been left as an unfinished project and I can't find anyone else who wants to touch the remaining space without just doing blackout shading. Just be wary if you're looking to do a bigger project with them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve now had multiple tattoos done from here by different artists and I’ve been over the moon with them all, amazing work they all do & will definitely use rock n roll tattoo for my future tattoos!

Negative experience: Paid 250 pound to get a tattoo at the start of the year and ever since I paid in full they have blanked me kept the money and never got in touch I emailed leaving phone numbers for them to contact me the appointment was with krista and tried cancelling several times a month before the tattoo to which I was blanked again they yhen called me a day before telling me my appointment was still valid and I would get deposit back. don't recommend this place absolute joke of a company in all honesty far better out there. Update 3 years on and glad I didnt go bac here found a better more professional place that actually cares about its customers (its in newcastle and walkin are welcome 7 days a week) would highly recommend found easy on google PURE INK

Negative experience: BUSINES STEALING CUSTOMERS MONEY !!!!Awfull front desk lying staff great tattoos tho. I've payed full price for 2 sessions when they supposed to be one after another one, then they keept changing my dates moving them forward. Wasting my time then eventually after many reschedules. I decided to get my money back initially they agreed to pay out full refund for a day session that they never provided and sed they will pay within 7 to 10 days it's now 3 months still dont have my money. Wish them luck stealing as one of those days someone might take it to Far and someone get hurt over that as that my hard earned money. Stop stealing

Negative experience: Would stay away at all cost. Took me for over £3000. I would make the appointments and they would continuously cancel. I made the huge mistake of block booking, that's on me. I had legal letters sent to them for refunds and no response. This was back in 2023 and still no response from them. I still have all emails if proof needed.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 tattoos done during the witchy walk in day on the 3rd of august along with my partner who also received one. The staff are so welcoming and that’s coming from someone who’s highly uncomfortable with people. They were very thoughtful and their tattoos are incredible, we are both incredibly happy with all of them. They accommodated all our requests and honestly we’ve walked away knackered and very fulfilled. He also enjoyed your cupcakes :) and the coffee was delicious! Thank you to everyone! Fantastic experience: Second time at this studio for my son's first tattoo for his 21st birthday (i got a matching one). Emily was our artist, and she is amazing. Very professional, extremely talented but also super friendly and lovely just to chat to, her shading style is a perfect finish to her designs. Rhys and Paul on the front desk were very friendly as well, informative and welcoming. The fact they do walk in days, on a Sunday, is unheard of in the tattoo community. Gives people, with varied interests, the chance to get some art, without ha king to wait months for an appointment. Would, absolutely, recommend coming here if you're looking for some new ink. 5* for sure.

Positive experience: sarah was lovely and i had a good experienced getting my septum pierced, but the ball fell off last night. I spent hours trying to get it back on with acrylic nails, couldn’t, hurt myself, lost the ball and now i can’t reach them on the phone after calling 25 times. i just want to find out what the jewellery was so i can get a replacement. for a £40 septum i rly don’t expect to be paying another £20 so i can get replacement jewellery and something to screw it in myself

Negative experience: Kept my £200 deposit after the artist I picked moved studio and I didn't have the paper receipt even tho I was on their system as having paid deposit. Avoid big time folks

Fantastic experience: I got my nose pierced by Sarah, and it was such a great experience! She was incredibly professional and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The piercing was quick and almost painless, and Sarah took the time to explain everything, which I really appreciated. I love how it turned out, and I couldn't be happier with my decision to go here. Fantastic experience: Attended for a Pokémon walk in event. The doors opened promptly at 10am. I wasn't first in the door but I'd completed the health questionnaire and picked my image by 10.30! As it was so busy instead of just hanging around the shop I was given a time to return. Returning a little bit earlier than my slot was advised of a slight delay but was kept informed as to the progress. After my wait the consultation as to size and placement etc went well/quickly. Shout out to Amy my artist and apologies to the blonde guy on the counter but his customer service skills were definitely on point during the time I spent waiting in the shop.

Fantastic experience: Just want to write some kind words for the piercer who helped me with my helix piercing today. I originally got it done at blancolo studio and they made a bit of a mess of it. She fully listened to me, reassured me and fixed up the size for me and gave me really reassuring advice. Was really impressed with the hygiene of this place too and just the overall service. Thank you! Wish I had came here instead to get it pierced in the first place.

Fantastic experience: 5 star experience today in the Glasgow salon. Messaged the Facebook page on Wednesday 15.1.25 and within an hour or 2 I had a response from Rhys via txt message to chat about design. We agreed a price and artist who would be carrying it out who would be Tomas. Rhys sent me some of Tomas previous work which I thought was a nice touch. Rhys then stated I could come to the salon the very best day 16.1.25 at 11 which I jumped at the chance of. When I arrived at the salon I was welcomed in a friendly manner by Rhys. He explained that Tomas was setting up and wouldn’t be long. Tomas came out to meet me and introduced himself. He talked me through my design and spoke about sizing. He suggested 3 different sizes to go on my forearm and gave me the choice but both agreed the smaller one looked better. It was now time to go through to have the tattoo transfered onto my arm. The first go Tomas wasn’t 100 percent happy with the placing so he removed the stencil and started again. It was at this point I knew Tomas was a perfectionist which gave me so much confidence that my tattoo was going to turn out amazing. Through out Tomas asked me if my pain was ok and kept me in the loop about what he was doing. The finished result exceeded my expectations. I am in love with my tattoo and can’t stop looking at it. The customer service and art work has been second to none and I would not hesitate to book in again in the future. Thank you to everyone involved in making it happen.

My experience had been great, the staff have been friendly and the quality of work, impeccable. Fantastic experience: Seventh tattoo at Rock & Roll Tattoos just complete and as ever, the whole process was smooth, easy and great end results. I've had various artists and they have all been very friendly, take on board my ideas and seem genuinely interested in completing the tattoo to my liking. Big shout-out to Zuz. Though still a junior her work is to a very high standard, after my first session I decided to expand into a sleeve and she has been able to design the sleeve around other tattoos and incorporate them into the design. Next session booked for March to finish the design! Have also been pierced by Val here, again very professional with clear and concise aftercare instructions. A+

Fantastic experience: Went today as part of the Partnership work with Razzouk Tattoos. Before writing this review I saw all the mixed reviews and take that on-board however this review is solely based on my experience 1. I enquired first on TikTok where I follow Razzouk Tattoos and it led me to Rock and Roll Tattoos. I commented on the video and was replied to within 30 mins. 2. I then sent a message to the number and was quickly contacted where we then looked at the different stamps from the collection. 3. I completed all the forms attached, price and date were discussed and agreed. 4. Deposit paid I turned up to the appointment and was met by Rhys who was a genuine joy...welcomed me with a friendly a manner as he did when we were discussing things on the chat. The other gentleman ( whose name is missed because I'm old ) was just as friendly. The time I was waiting was minimal and the chat was great. Friendly and no-one was rushing anyone. The tattoo area is huge and clean...plenty of space between artists and not cramped. The set up was clean. Tattoo was quick, painless and aftercare advice was given. I have no reason to not want to go back and will look to have another tattoo done there. I have also added the message i have sent to them after my appointment "So I know you guys get a bit of a bad rep regarding management and the booking system and stuff. Obviously I can only go on my experience today but you can quote my text when I say. I've been tattooed my a Native American in a Mexican dudes apartment in Canada at 16, I've been tattooed by Terry of Terry's tattoos, I've been tattooed by a random in Irvine who now builds wells in Africa, I've been tattooed by friends and amazing artists and now thanks to you guys I've been blessed enough to have a tattoo by someone from a lineage that represents my faith, the heritage of a people I have spent the best part of a year shouting about and represent the Arabic side of my sons genetics. A small tattoo for 100 can have more meaning to people who appreciate it and appreciate the place that facilitated it. I really would like to fix the arm I don't like and today I found a place with great staff and engaging people including your wonderful piercing staff member whose name i forget. ( sorry she was so kind). So I'm sorry reviews aren't always kind because you all really made my day and I wanted you to know I appreciated the effort and time you gave me today. Fantastic experience: I've been pierced by Val a couple of times now, and they're always amazing. Back when they were still being supervised as an apprentice, they did some really technically challenging piercings on me and all have healed really well. I went more recently for a vertical labret and I couldn't be happier with it! 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Val, and Rock n Roll

Negative experience: NIGHTMARE. AVOID. Honestly dont go here at all. I went to get my tattoo in another location by the same company. I paid £108 deposit (£100 for the deposit and £8 for after care that was suppose to be delivered to my address). I went to this company because my partner and all his friends have been to this company and branch before and 'lived by them'. less than 24 hours notice they cancelled my appointment and told someone would be in touch to rearrange. 4 weeks later they never got back to me and I had to call around which no one answered the phones or was able to give me any clue what to do next. I ended up going to the shop and demanded a refund after 6 weeks no contact or rebooking. Some artists came out and greeted me. I cant fault them they were lovely. they said that the Scotland branch takes all the money and there's no way to use a refund or is there any money on the premises. They even said to me that they are not sure what the company is doing no one tells them anything they just show up do what they need to and go home. they recommended calling the Scotland branch. I called this place 3-4 times a week for 6-7 weeks. where I was constantly told that the manager wasn't in or he's just left. I sent countless emails with nothing in return. eventually they told me they don't have a manager really. he just comes in does a couple checks once a week and leaves. During this time on the calls they told me they wouldn't be able to give me a refund because it's non refundable. I would understand if I had cancelled short notice or it's my fault on my end but it wasn't and found it was unfair and violated the trading standards of paying for a service but never receiving it. (never did receive a refund nor the aftercare.) If that wasn't enough, my partners sister heard about the nightmare but because she had always used them before, they gathered it was a 'fluke' and put down a deposit for the whole day (£1,500) and she had a very similar thing happen to me (I am unaware if she was refunded). My sister is now an apprentice for someone who used to work with them and they expressed how bad the company was and how they took more for deposits for tattoos for them to see them but it was never carried out.

Fantastic experience: Amazing piercing experience with Val! So kind, thoughtful, professional, and friendly. Very sanitary! I had my septum pierced a year ago, knocked it out with a football nine months later, and got it repierced while traveling in Glasgow. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I was with guest artist Mariusz for my Japanese Ronin and I've got to say he was amazing, the artwork is pretty much identical to the artwork I asked for, Mariusz added a nice wee twist to it making it more unique as well which was awesome. He re-shaded my older rising sun to bring it back life and in line with the new ink from the added piece which was amazing. There was a minor hiccup after booking which was rectified by the team at Rock'n'Roll providing great customer service. All in all, very happy with the tattoo and service provided, well done guy's!

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Rock N Roll Tattoo and would not recommend this place to anyone. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the shop was dirty and cluttered, which immediately made me question their hygiene standards. The equipment looked old and not properly sanitized, which is a huge red flag for any tattoo shop. The artist I booked with seemed rushed and uninterested in my ideas, barely taking the time to discuss the design. When I tried to make suggestions or changes, they were dismissive and even rude. The tattoo itself was a disaster. The lines are uneven, the shading is blotchy, and it looks nothing like the design I agreed to. I now have a permanent reminder of their lack of skill and professionalism. To make matters worse, the aftercare instructions were unclear, and they seemed annoyed when I asked questions to clarify. I’m now dealing with an infection, likely due to their poor hygiene practices, and will probably need a touch-up elsewhere to fix their mistakes. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Rock N Roll tattoo. There are plenty of other reputable tattoo shops out there where you’ll get treated with respect and receive quality work in a clean environment. This place is not worth the risk.

Fantastic experience: First I have booked an appointment - then I read reviews and almost cancelled it - but in reality everything went very well. Nobody was rude to me, reception people never asked me to pay before the service was done. Reviews here are very confusing. I am satisfied with customer service and the tattoo that was done by Rafal.

Negative experience: Would have given 5 stars for the tattoo artist and zero for the management. They charge up front and charged me for two days but it only took one and refused to give any money back. Be careful.

Fantastic experience: First tattoo with the studio and was matched up with guest artist Filipe. Absolutely fantastic guy!!! Made me feel very comfortable and at ease. His attention to detail is amazing. The whole process of discussing ideas, booking and the whole experience from start to finish was easy and no stress. The reception staff were so welcoming and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely unreal from the guy stas who done it who made sure everything was the way I wanted it before he started, nothing was too much hassle as I was picky with getting the right colour etc. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a tattoo, 10/10

Negative experience: Went in wanting a cover up half sleeve, got there at 10:00 the artist had barely looked at the reference photos I sent. He quickly made some up that was only half of what I wanted. By this time it was half 11. Got the tattoo finished by half 5 and asked about getting my deposit back for another day that I no longer needed. 2 months later and countless emails and calls and I still have not received my deposit back. Artwork is good but the way it's run is horrendous. Once they get your money they don't care.

Fantastic experience: I booked a tattoo from the online shop from the artist Magda for my mum as a present and she was really nervous to attend but upon arrival she was calmed down and made to feel at ease by the team and especially throughout the tattoo Magda was accommodating for any breaks that where not required in the end up! She was very precise and took her time to ensure the finished result was perfect. She even tweaked the design to suit last minute first class service! It’s now my turn to book up lol.

Negative experience: Never gave the deposit back even if the appointment was cancelled 2 weeks in advance due to their inability to communicate and show up for consultation appointments. Extremely unclean environment, there's articles about people getting infected and needless not being disposed of properly. Unprofessional and will stop responding to you as soon ask for money back. Then you'll get blocked and won't ever see your money back.AVOID AVOID AVOID

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience for me. Reception and the whole booking process was perfect, very good price for my patchwork sleeves commencing and extremely friendly. Tattooed by Filip who was very easy to talk to and exceeded my expectations of the final product, gave me advice on placement and detail etc and i couldn't be happier. Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience here, after talking with Rhys about the type of tattoo I was looking for and sending a picture of my dogs paw, he was able to pair me up with Sebastian. He is an absolute gem, and his work is outstanding, specialising in colour and realism. He was able to bring to life my little pups paw for me on her anniversary, and he was amazing at checking in on me through the process as it was my first tattoo. Staff are friendly and talkative, even getting in contact with me 2 weeks afterwards to check up on the healing process and seeing if I'm ready to book again (once I can afford it I definitely will ) I will definitely be back to this place, great location in the city too, lovely artists that are exceptional in their talent!

Positive experience: I went to this place because they were doing a gaming tattoo walk-in for £60, it was a steal! I really like my tattoo so much that I know I'll be going back soon rather than later. I got a tattoo of The Brotherhood of Steal insignia, and I'll definitely be going back to get it filled in with colour and possibly add some writing just around it

Fantastic experience: Just had my nose ring piercing! 10/10 experience, 1/10 pain. Val was lovely and knowledgeable, answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable as I was a bit nervous! Will definitely come back for more! Reception stuff was also very friendly! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: If u wanna get piercings done ask for Val, they know their craft genuinely had the most lovely experience, I wanted to get my septum pierced, but due to a really bad experience I had in the past I was a bit terrified. I talked with Val and they were so calm, and knowledgeable, they inspire trust from the get go. The piercing itself went so well I was really surprised it didn't hurt at all. The receptionist was also lovely, so overall 10 out of 10. Would go back in a heartbeat

He took his time to make sure the tattoo design and placement was perfect . I was so relaxed through the whole process and I love my tattoo so much and I cannot thank enrique enough

Fantastic experience: I was originally booked in with an artist who left the studio while I was booked in. After a period of the staff helping me find a new artist as my deposit was non-refundable we eventually found a guest artist who was exceptional. Yan K did an amazing job and I'm blown away by the work, a phenomenal cover up. The second skin he put on (which i've never used before) was fantastic for the healing meaning I only had some tiny scabbing at the edges and minimal peeling of skin for a single day. Again, blown away by this. Overall a phenomenal experience after finding out my artist had left. The change to the reception staff over the last year has meant the communication I have received has improved massively as after seeing many reviews I was very apprehensive. I will be looking to use Yan K. And Rock'n'Roll for my future cover ups and infill works

Fantastic experience: Had 2 tattoos done here recently, one being a flash and the other a requested piece. Both really well designed but athe artist was still happy to do some minor adjustments on the set design from the flash sheet. Apprentices seem really knowledge and the front desk staff always offer a warm welcome :) sometimes timings can be a bit hectic but they do a really good job at keeping you informed of any delays, or if you can be bumped forward a few hours

Fantastic experience: Attended the LOTR walk-in flash sale event and was extremely impressed and highly satisfied with my tattoo! Rhys’s design caught my eye instantly and he was great to work with - very welcoming and enthusiastic. I’ve booked in again because I had such a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: I've been getting tattoos at rock'n'roll since 2020. I can't praise the studio enough. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Tattoos are really important to me, I'm autistic and I sometimes worry i'll get laughed at for what I want but honestly, every artist i've had (Lukas, Boris and Mel) have been amazing and always appreciated my ideas. 100% can't recommend them enough! Already booked in again.

Positive experience: Couldn't fault Manny the guest tattooist. He was superb. Very talented & genuine guy. Done both our tattoos for us. Excellent. We booked our appoint over a month ago for 1pm on a Sund. After booking, that day was chosen as a 'walk in' day. I'm on crutches. Spinal issues. Place was busy. We didn't get taken til 3.15pm! Sitting for over 2hrs meant I was in a LOT of pain! We'd travelled 40miles too, rushing so as not to be late! If we'd known we'd wait so long, we'd have gone to the Cat Cafe across the road. Pre-booking our tattoos was a total mish mash of miscommunication. Messages to FB page, text message, WhatsApp & telephone. None linking up! Much as we really liked our tattooist & his work, the actual studio need to get themselves sorted with their administration & communication. Bad practice I'm afraid. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend MANNY tho.

Fantastic experience: It had been my first and great experience getting a tattoo. The staff was very friendly. The tattoo artist did a good surface check on my tattoo since it consisted of Sanskrit originated words in Devanagari font. I really appreciate the work, the artist did by confirming as aspects considering the font size, font style, place of the tattoo on the body. Even proper instructions were given of taking care of the tattooed skin, and they even checked up to see if everything was ok after a month. I really thank as this tattoo has been an important element in my life which had been precisely and artistically done.

Place is super clean and nice Alicija done mine and my partners tattoos and they turned out exactly how we wanted She sat and changed my tattoo about a couple of times for me until I was 100% happy, it was my partners first tattoo and the artist took extra care and offered him breaks throughout i would highly recommend this place for tattoos! Staz the tattoo artist gave me sound advice on the best options for my portrait tattoo. His work was absolutely fantastic, which I can't praise him enough on the portrait work he did for me. From the people on the reception desk, to the artists, everyone is really friendly and accommodating. The artwork is fantastic and they always have amazing guest artists! Looking forward to going back in June to finish off part of my sleeve!

Positive experience: Booked by telephone. Greeted on arrival by friendly welcoming reception staff. Tattoo operator showed up promptly discussed my ideas etc then got down to work. Made sure I was okay and offered me a break during process when I had some slight discomfort from pins and needles. Got exactly the tattoo I asked for very happy with process and already planning next one.

Fantastic experience: Came to Rock ‘n Roll for my first ever tattoo and was matched up with guest artist Gennadiy. Got really professional vibes off of the place, and the whole day went really smoothly. Was shown lots of different designs after sending in some reference photos, and was so impressed with the final product. Will definitely be back in the future!

Fantastic experience: Was in a few days ago getting a tattoo with apprentice Emily and I'm so happy I did, the level of detail is fantastic and have already received so many compliments. Tattoo is healing nicely and Emily was lovely throughout the process. She is a credit to Rock n Roll tattoo and can already tell she is going to be an outstanding artist. Will certainly not be the last time I visit to book in with her.

She was selected after I shared my idea and was chosen as the ideal artist for the job. She was fantastic made me feel super comfortable and listened to my design wants! Tattoo is healing up nicely. Fantastic experience: Had the most lovely experience with Zuzanna today. She made me feel very sure about my tattoo placement, and was very professional all the way through. Didn’t mind that I wanted to move her stencil multiple times. Was completed in good time and I love it so much!! Was a mix up with booking my slot but was also rectified quickly and easily. End result looks absolutely amazing thank you so much to all staff.

Positive experience: Booked with Rock and Roll tattoo for a cover up tattoo on my left Bicep, the tattoo has green in it so could not have it removed by laser. I have wanted it covered up with a realistic Gorilla piece and searched for ages as wantnit to be perfect I booked in with Genadiy and have had one session so far with my final session at the start of December and I have to say I am absolutely delighted with how the tattoo is looking already Genadiy showed me what he was going to do and explained everything to me. To be honest I just can't wait to get the second session and have it finished and December can't come quick enough Everyone I came into contact with from reception staff to guests and other tattooists were excellent I can't recommend Rock And Roll tattoo highly enough

Fantastic experience: Had a full day session here with a guest artist. Tattoo is amazing. Healed well. Shop was full, everyone was very sweet. I was recommended an artist due to my reference pictures and they picked an artist who knew exactly what kind of style I wanted. Every design choice, artist ran by me and I loved the collaboration feeling to it. Great place, definitely will come back

Fantastic experience: I have had a total of 4 tattoos soon to be 5 from rock n roll Glasgow by various artists and can honestly say I wouldn’t really consider anywhere else they are my first point of call if I’m looking to get an new one and are always so great and accommodating not to mention the results are always fantastic! Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic work, I got 2x tattoos done by the apprentice Emily who was very professional and accommodating. I'm over the moon with how they both turned out and she was brilliant throughout the whole process and made me feel totally comfortable and at ease. Emily is a great artist and is already showing how great a tattooist she's going to be and I look forward to getting more with her in the future! Front desk shout out to Rhys who worked wizardry to get me booked in and who was an absolute delight to speak to and greeted me at the front desk with a smile and like on old friend even though we'd never met before. Really happy with my experience and would highly recommend!!

Negative experience: Terrible communication, booked me in with the wrong artist, artist had an attitude, £200 deposit which is ridiculous, paid £500 in total for a tattoo that should've taken a couple hours (but I paid for a full day), was told to come in at 10.30, didn't start the tattoo till nearly 2pm! They also want full payment up front, which I've never experienced in any shop across the world! - and I'm covered from head to toe. Avoid this place. Plenty decent artists and shops out there. The whole experience from start to finish was diabolical. 0/5 stars! Will be going elsewhere to get my sleeve finished.
