Went for a full sleeve using lots solid black and Japanese iruzemi ideas. Jonny was my artist and was great whole way through. Quoted as needing 6/7 sessions and completed in 5. Never cancelled. Fantastic experience: Hoped for a good tattoo, got a great tattoo! The whole process with Sugar Skull has been a pleasure , from initial consultation, the event itself!, and the follow up all have exceeded expectations. I wanted a very specific design, this doesn't leave much room for error. I've seen others that have been good, I genuinely believe mine is the best example I've seen. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience overall! The consulation process was thorough to understand what you want but easy. The tattoo process itself was great as well, Danny was super friendly and professional. It's been a bit over a week since I got my tattoo now and it's been healing really well. Adrian checked in after as well by email to make sure I knew how to take care of the tattoo whilst it's healing.

Fantastic experience: From consultation to aftercare, this was a great experience at Sugar Skull tattoo. My design was modified to be more effective and Diego was very experienced and my sitting was excellent. I’m very happy with my tattoo and the whole experience was my best so far. Fantastic experience: Superb experience. First time tattoo and must admit even at my age (a young 48) I was apprehensive. The guys were really welcoming, gave great advice and I walked out yesterday with the tattoo I had exactly imagined. Special thanks to Danny the New Zealand Legend. Great work, with great chat. Fantastic experience: This was my first time getting tattooed at Sugar Skull and I highly recommend this parlour! From my initial consultation with Joey until getting my tattoo by Shane - it was a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Shane was great when I was getting my tattoo - very chatty and friendly - a real down to earth and humble guy! Chatted for hours! Shane’s cleanliness was top notch also - constantly changing gloves and making sure the room was clean/sterile. It had been around 7 years since my last tattoo and I am so pleased with the finished piece. I would recommend Shane and the whole team at Sugar Skull! I’m already planning on booking in for another consultation for a new tattoo. 5/5 service, atmosphere and customer service.

This was my first tattoo and my sister’s second so I was naturally nervous, but from start to finish we felt completely looked after. Our experience began with a consultation with Joey at reception, who was so patient, kind, and genuinely attentive. He really took the time to listen to what we wanted, answered all our questions without rushing us and made us feel understood and reassured straight away. You can tell he truly cares about people, not just the process. On the day of our tattoos, Sam was everything you could hope for — calm, professional, and incredibly patient. He explained each step clearly, and created such a relaxed, steady atmosphere that my nerves disappeared almost instantly. As a first-timer, that meant everything. The tattoos themselves are absolutely beautiful — clean, precise, and done with real skill and care. The studio was spotless, the vibe was welcoming, and the whole experience far exceeded my expectations. We also got wonderful emails from Adrian the owner, such a personal and caring touch. Fantastic experience: I've had a number of tattoos done by various tattoo parlours in the Glasgow area over the last 15 years, but having had some touched up at Sugar Skull I won't go anywhere else in the future. Booking was easy through the owner Adrian who is helpful and very fast at getting back to you. You can send him what you like done and he checks with his team and then lets you know what can be done. Thereafter you have a consultation in the shop, meeting with Joey who is very friendly and helpful and he'll liaise with the tattoo artists and print off any designs etc. they will make sure they understand exactly what is required and will provide an accurate estimate of the cost based on the length of time they expect it to take. I got my tattoos done by Johnny, he's extremely talented and the pictures of some of the work he has done are incredible. I needed my tattoos re-done and he didn't just re-do them he massively improved them, I was absolutely delighted with the results! The whole experience from initial contact, to visiting the parlour, to getting the tattoos themselves was a pleasure, the parlour is very nice inside, everyone is friendly, helpful and you know they just want you to get tattoos you are happy with and the whole vibe of the place is so friendly and professional! I can assure you it isn't possible if you use them for your next tattoo you could be disappointed, the experience was a pleasure and the results absolutely superb!

Fantastic experience: Fabulous experience with Sugar Skull, Glasgow. From my husband purchasing a gift voucher with Adrian to my consultation with Joey and on to the big day with Sam. This was my first tattoo but has been years in the thought process and I wanted something individual but artistically-led. I took (8!) very different images - with different pieces I liked - to a very patient Joey who helped me realise the best artist for the job. Today, I turned up and Sam presented me with his vision. I loved it! With some resizing (bigger ) and repositioning we agreed an awesome design! Sam is very gentle and clearly experienced in detailed, realistic art. The studio is pristine but feels homely and relaxing. We got the music going and me, my book Lots of short breaks and six hours later - we’re 60% there! I’m loving my tattoo and already feel like she’s part of me. A cathartic exercise of getting many years experience - good/ learning/ bad on my leg so she - my Phoenix - is there but doesn’t have to be in my head. I’m forever grateful to the whole team, Sam especially. She will be completed with shading and back wing in round 2

Fantastic experience: I went in for a rather simple design as it was my first tattoo of my favourite band The Police, the consultation was absolutely great and very professional even though we were early we were seen to immediately. I was back in the next week for the tattoo which was done by Sam and he absolutely smashed it out the park with it and i am so happy with my first tattoo and i will definitely be back soon :)

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Sugar Skull Tattoo studio. From communication with Adrian and consultation with Joey to getting our tattoos was second to none. My wife and I went together to get our tattoos, mine was my first, and everything went to plan. Our tattoo artist was Hernany and he knew exactly what we wanted. So pleased with both tattoos. We are booked in again, highly recommend. Update 2nd visit to Hernany at Sugar Skull for my wife and I. Once again a fantastic experience my wife got a rose she had reworked and I got a new tattoo on opposite arm from 1st. Hernany is a genius artist and we are so happy with finished result.

Had a free consultation first mid December to talk through the design and book an appointment and couldn’t have been easier. Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant tattoo store I booked in last week for 2 small tattoos and the service I received all round was excellent, first I spoke to Adrian over email who made it an easy process to book my tattoo and I only had to wait a week to get it done which was pretty quick. Then once I got my tattoo consultation Joe at the reception desk was super helpful with picking the font for my tattoo and helping recommend placement and size. Shane was the artist who did my tattoo and I love it and it’s been done perfectly he was also friendly and helpful whilst getting it done. I’d definitely recommend this tattoo store and I’ll be using it from now on for any future tattoos of my own and the prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: Sugar skull tattoo came highly recommended to me and they certainly did not disappoint. I booked my tattoo with Cleo - told her what I wanted and sent some inspo pictures . The day I attended I was blown away by what she had drawn up for me , it was like she had taken my idea and made it better than I could ever of imagined . I felt so welcome and comfortable in this studio, everyone was chatty and friendly. The customer service has also been fantastic from checking in with me the day before my appointment then checking in with me the day after to make sure I was happy or had any questions. Danny and Joey pulled out all the stops to help me get booked in as soon as to let it heal before heading on a trip, and since the job was finished I've had Adrian on checking that everything is cool. Honestly, best service I've had from any tattoo studio. looking forward to booking back in in the New Year for the next piece. Fantastic experience: I'd like to personally thank the studio from having my introduction appt with Joey to having Adrian organising the appts and making sure I was doing okay after my appts. Obviously a big thank you to Shane who was the artist I was recommended for my tattoos. Very friendly, patient and an extraordinary talented artist. I chose to have Haku, the dragon boy from the anime Spirited Away if you're familiar with Ghibli movies and his work is what I wanted for years. Fantastic experience: Absolutely over the moon with my Tattoo and experience at Sugar Skull. Jonny was my artist and surpassed expectations of my design. From consultation, to being in the studio, to contact after my sitting, everything has been great and to be honest better than I expected. This was my first full day sitting, having only had a couple of really small tattoos before. I was made to feel relaxed and comfortable. Nothing felt rushed. Jonny spent plenty of time in the morning making sure the design was adapted to be just right, and exactly how I wanted it. Well spaced breaks and pauses, friendly atmosphere, and most of all a result on my skin that has truly surpassed my expectations. I can’t recommend Sugar Skull enough. And regardless of how long a waiting list may be, I’ll be on it to continue the work.

Fantastic experience: totally recommend, I cannot compare it with other places in Glasgow, but I was very happy with the service I received. I do not live in Glasgow (or Scotland for that matter!), so had to arrange everything remotely via emails, but Adrian was brilliant, helpful, responsive and very patient with all the questions I had :). Diego (the artist) was great, although seemed to be a wee bit disorganized from the beginning, but forgetting keys to a studio can happen to anyone, right? Once he settled to work, he was focused and listening to what I was saying and together we agreed on what the final design should look like. I first wanted something super original, but in the end we settled on the design I provided earlier as a reference, with a few modifications we made on the spot. Since I asked for a small Scottish Thistle, there are not that many variations you can make of it. It is a small tattoo, but means a lot to me and I am happy I had it done at Sugar Skull studio. Thank you Diego and Adrian for your help and patience.

I visited the shop for a consultation and was booked in by the really friendly guy at the desk (forgive me for not noting his name) he had a look at a few of the designs I like and said that Cleo would be best placed to do the work. Cleo agreed and I got booked in. Adrian confirmed the booking and made sure I was happy with the dates, even reminding me closer to the time. When it came to getting the tattoo done Cleo made sure I was 100% happy with the design, there was no issues making changes to size and details. Afterwards Adrian checked in again to make sure all went well and assured me that if I had any questions or issues I could reach out. Overall I found it a great service, brilliant communication, fantastic work and a fair price. I was recommended this shop by a friend after a less than great experience at a different shop and I will continue to use Sugar skull in the future. With tattoos you really do get what you pay for. Fantastic experience: Great email service initially to arrange a consultation. This was my first tattoo so I was in the dark about what was involved. At the half-hour consult my design, which I’d chosen and emailed across was brought up on screen, sized for my chosen placement - upper thigh front and side. A printout was cut to shape and we held it in place over my trousers and agreed it was (I was pleased to hear) a great choice. I was ready to go ahead, paid a cash deposit, and was sent by email a confirmation of time, date and the name of the artist Danny who had been selected, due to his particularly good technique for my design of strong black lines. I was able to request a date change, no fuss. On the day of the tattoo I was nervous beforehand and googled “new tattoo after-care”. I didn’t want to be the weak-link in this exciting process. This gave me constructive questions to ask and Danny explained options and various do’s and dont’s. All this after the tattoo was done, because he wanted me to be listening properly, ie not potentially being distracted by the ongoing tattoo work. Of which…new needle heads were taken out of sterile packs. Sterile gloves used at all times. A tiny-tiny thimble of black ink was issued (which did the whole 27cmx12cm disign) Go big or go home my daughters advised! Good call. The inking process was c2 and a half hours. Lots of easy chat. During a gap in proceedings I sent an “in progress” message to my wife and the girl’s group and got encouraging whoops and wows back. Does it hurt? I told them it’s like a sharp pencil being used by someone drawing on your leg. I gather other skin areas are likely to feel less benign. Either way I’m about to email for another consultation and have used google Gemini AI (for the first time) to produce a good likeness to what was in my head ; sketched over two hours. I changed parts more and less successfully through the app and have two designs with elements I like, and will be advised by the studio on how to combine. I was and am thrilled with the service and end result. I was ready, my design carries much meaning and it’s like have a spirit lifting friend you catch sight, almost having forgotten them. If that makes sense. 9 days after the tattoo, cleaning and moisturising has become a simple routine. There are tiny scabs you can feel more than see in places along the ink work while washing and creaming lightly. “Don’t pick”! I remember Danny’s words every time.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this place for extremely large and bold tattoos, Shane done my chest piece, he done his best to cater to my design idea and checked up on me often during the session, he was gentle when it came to shading to point I was ready to sleep. this piece costed me £800 and it healed beautifully. He was also very respectful towards me as a female client and even talked me through the process. He given me full creative freedom on my design.

I had a tattoo done 3 years ago, a cover up, which I absolutely loathed and was desperate to find someone who could fix it. I actually didn't think it was possible as it was so dark. I emailed Sugar Skull and Adrian replied straight away. He was so helpful and suggested it was something they may be able to help with. I went into the studio where I met with Joey who was also so welcoming and informative, he suggested Jorge would be the best person to help. Jorge was there that day and Joey helped discuss what I was looking for. Fast forward 2 weeks. Jorge worked his magic and exceeded my expectations, I am absolutely over the moon with the result. I love my tattoo now which I never thought I would ever say. That man is an absolute legend. I cannot thank him enough. It was also a pleasant experience too! He is the best. Fantastic experience: I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for several months and finally decided to take the plunge. I was, of course, filled with excitement, but also a lot of apprehension and nerves. From the start of the process, from booking the consultation to finalizing the design, the entire team was fantastic and incredibly accommodating. Joey, at the front desk was amazing. We had a great conversation, and he immediately made me feel at ease. After some discussion, Joey recommended Sam for my tattoo. I had seen some of Sam's work online and absolutely loved it, so I was thrilled when he suggested him. He was actually the artist I hoped to work with. On the day of the tattoo, Sam allowed me to choose between two designs: the original thin katana or the one I ended up choosing, which was full of style and exactly what I wanted. For my first tattoo, I wouldn't go anywhere else. I'm already thinking about my next tattoo, probably on the other arm. I feel like this tattoo deserves its own space, and I want to complement it with something that makes me just as proud. Adrian, keep doing what you're doing, your team is fantastic. Fantastic experience: Perfect experience of getting my first tattoo. I had taken time online to find the artist I was hoping to create my tattoo design. I initially had contact from studio owner Adrian who organised an initial review of my ideas with Joey on the front desk, he was friendly and pointed me in the right direction with the design and was able to confirm Cleo (the artist I was hoping for) could do my tattoo. On the day Cleo brought an amazing design and it was no trouble making slight adjustments to ensure it was the perfect fit. She made the process crystal clear and has a really friendly demeanour start to finish. I'm in awe of the art she has created and I couldn't be happier with the results. In addition, I had a couple of questions a few days afterwards and both Cleo and Adrian got back to me promptly. I have no hesitation about recommending Sugar Skull and, of course, Cleo to anyone. This tattoo is very important and quite emotional for me so thanks to Sugar Skull and Cleo for getting it over the line! I'll hopefully come and add some photos once things have healed!

Fantastic experience: From the start I was a bit of a pain, having to reschedule my appointment and asking many questions. Adrian was very understanding about it, being able to find me a better suited date and answering all my questions leading up to my appointment without any frustration. Getting there, the place itself was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Jorge took the process of figuring out exactly where I wanted my tattoo like a champ, and in no time the tattoo was being done. Music was great, comfortable seating whilst I waited and though given an estimate of 2 hours, the tattoo was done quicker and looked amazing, identical to my reference photo. My clumsy self left my bracelet there and Jorge was kind enough to message me and let me know so I could pick it up the next day without any issue. Although being given instructions already for the aftercare, Adrian contacted me afterwards to make sure everything was okay with the healing process, being happy to assist with any questions. The tattoo has been healing great. Overall, great customer service and very high quality art. Will definitely be coming back, armoured with my usual questions about a new tattoo some time in the future.

Fantastic experience: My son wanted a memorial tattoo for his 21st. Neither of us have tattoos and didn’t have a clue where to start but following some research we got in touch with a few studios one of which being Sugar Skull. From the start the service provided by Adrian by far stood out. Quick, informative responses addressing every (many) questions. A consultation was booked where again Joey took time listening to what was wanted and guided my son giving much needed advise on what would and wouldn’t work. He took the time to show us work done by various artists and my son chose Jorge Mocuana. We are absolutely blown away at the outstanding work of art he has now done, the level of detail is incredible far above our expectations. Fantastic experience: My dad and I have never had a better customer experience than we did at Sugar Skull. It started with the excellent, quick and constant communication with Adrian through email, who was amazing both before and after the appointment. Joey, who we met for our consultation, made us feel valued and was very friendly, giving us excellent feedback and advice regarding the design of our tattoo, it's location and what was possible (Wish You Were Here album cover on my dad and I's inner left forearm). Jorge, our artist, was a specialist at work and we genuinely believe we could not have had the tattoo done better anywhere else. It is done absolutely perfectly in our eyes, and he also made us feel very relaxed during the experience. Finally, the experience was made even better, as it was done on my father's 50th birthday, to the exact day, as booked specially by Joey. Having it done by a specialist on this day made this even better and has made my dad's 50th birthday a memory we will cherish for life. Thank you all so much, I hope to be back in the future.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Sugar Skull Tattoo Studio in Glasgow 10/10. My youngest daughter Fi wanted us to have joint tattoo's for her 30th Birthday. At 63, I had never had a tattoo, because the situation had never arisen and partly out of a nervousness over needles. I did my reviews of tattoo studios, local(Lanark), Glasgow and Edinburgh. Sugar Skull had great reviews on all platforms. Contacted Sugar Skull, and from the start Adrian was very understanding, polite and very professional. Jorge was identified as the most suitable artist- detailed line work in black. Our experience was first class, from a consultation with Joey, the studio manager. He talked us through the design and size. Jorge was a very competent artist, who gave us all his concentration and experience. A very decent guy, who put me at ease. We are both delighted with the art work and intend to ask Jorge to do another three tattoos - one for my Wife Elaine and another for Fi and me. Fantastic experience: Booked a tattoo via the Instagram page and spoke with Adrian who was hugely helpful and accomodating to my needs and availability. The shop itself is very clean and well presented with everyone within presenting as very friendly and approachable. My tattoo was done by Cleo who had created a custom image based on the information and source images I had discussed with her previously. She also suggested slight differences which she believed would work and look better, which was 100% correct. The tattoo was done to an exceptional standard and for a very reasonable price. I've even been contacted a couple of times since to make sure it was healing well and to see whether I had any questions. 10/10 experience all round. I have and will be reccomending Sugar Skull and Cleo to everyone. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to have new inking as a remembrance to my late father and have do have other tattoos from other studios. When a friend had had her tattoo from Sugar Skull Tattoo, a hidden gem of a tattoo studio on Paisley Road in Cessnock area of Glasgow. So I went along to see the studio myself, and I was totally amazed and had my consultation and was shown tattoos by Jorge, and I was blown away by the designs and knew he could be the artist to do this for me. On the day for my new tattoo and Jorge, explained what he was going to do and put me at ease, and the design that he marked out on my arm and to the finished design I was so overwhelmed I actually cried, it was so much work and detail put into it . I can honestly say 5 stars isn’t enough to cover Jorge’s work. Thank you for reading

Fantastic experience: Great experience!! As part of my vacation, I had decided to get a tattoo in Scotland. After using google, I found this place - in other words, I had no idea what was awaiting me! I emailed with Adrian beforehand, set up a time, discussed the design, and transferred a deposit. So far so good. When I arrived, I will admit, that the front caused me to pause. It looked very closed and run-down, but the well-kept sign was encouraging. However, as soon as I stepped inside, my tattoo artist, Danny, made me feel more comfortable!! The atmosphere was amazing, and Danny's great taste in music, positive spirit and professional demeanor ensured a great experience! I am tempted to just go to Glasgow, the next time I need a tattoo!

Fantastic experience: WOW!! What an experience from consultation 4 weeks ago to walking out of sugar skull with my completed tattoo on Saturday. I was so anxious nervous and scared despite this being my 3rd tattoo it's been my first one at sugar skull and I will not go anywhere else now. My tattoo was a cover up of black bold writing and I'm blown away with the job that's been done no one could ever tell there was one there before. The tattooist worked hard on the design to keep it small as it was originally to be larger to cover the original tattoo I was a bit disappointed but I knew I needed the cover up. I didn't want a large tattoo on my back but wow he managed and worked wonders and I know have the most beautiful petite butterfly on my back. Thanks so much guys xxx

Fantastic experience: From the second I walked in the shop is was welcoming and the environment was amazing. My consultation was very helpful as I was told what future tattoos would work around this one and what size would work best for it and also just reassured me about everything to do with the tattoo as it was my first time. Then when it came to my appointment Danny was so welcoming and helpful as I was a bit nervous for the pain but kept talking throughout and being friendly to help take my mind off it and was also very good at warning you about spots that won’t be as painless as others and was very efficient with it and the prices here are also cheaper than other places I was quoted. All round unreal place and will be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Where to start…. Had an initial consultation with Joey and he was amazing, very helpful and positive. Told him what I was looking for and he put me with Jonny. Jonny understood immediately what I wanted and we agreed a date to return, all the while Adrian is keeping in contact with me. When I went back for the tattoo, I didn’t know what to expect but when Jonny showed me his design, it was better than I expected. Now I have my tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with it. This is the first time I have used Sugar Skull and I only used it as the tattoo shop I used closed down but to be honest, if I had my time back again, I would have got all my tattoos here because the difference is dramatic with both the quality and the customer service. He talked through my idea with me and we settled on what I wanted. He matched me with the best artist for what I was looking for. I then booked in for a few weeks later.
