Fantastic experience: We were in Glasgow for a concert and The Kingdom Ink managed to slot myself and my partner in for a last min tattoo each. The lady over the phone was very helpful and accommodating. We were offered a drink on arrival which was nice. Dan was our artist; Great chat and I felt super comfortable and relaxed while getting tattooed. All the staff here seem lovely and the uber driver who dropped me here said it was popular, so don't give this place a miss!

Negative experience: I had an appointment with Cesar , when I got to the studio I had to wait around 40 minutes to be told Cesar wouldn’t be doing my consultation it was Caio . So I still had the consultation with him. I had small Arabic writing on my right bicep which I wanted covered . I had a few things in mind . A cross or a sword which ever would work best. Straight away he said the cross wouldn’t work it would be to thick and big. So he showed me a few daggers with flowers . I didn’t like the flowers so went with the dagger . Made another appointment. When I got home I still wasn’t too happy with the decision so I had another thought on this Japanese cat that I’d liked so I messaged Caio on Instagram and heard nothing back. Then I rang the studio and checked what time and maybe how long it would take as I had another appointment that day . The receptionist mentioned the cat tattoo a I thought oh right he has seen it (great) . Anyway … Day of the tattoo. Got to the salon , Caio came out and said the cat tattoo wouldn’t really work it will just be too big and all black and suggested maybe putting a little colour and maybe white in the body part ? He said he could do it but wouldn’t know what it would look like finished! So it was back to the dagger which looks very flat and had flowers which I didn’t want and said he could change the handle to it , so really had no final picture as to what it would look like . I didn’t like the idea of something being so big and I don’t know the end result so I said I didn’t want to commit to that . The whole time I felt he couldn’t be bothered and also didn’t want to advise on anything helpful, just wasn’t nice at all . He went in his room with the receptionist and left me standing there so I started to feel really awkward and just wanted to go but I was there now. So I said can you just black it out it’s only small . The whole time I was lying there he didn’t speak to me . No one else said hello to me or acknowledged I was there, apart from the receptionist, the atmosphere was awful. He was done in less the 20 minutes. And charged me £90.00 . Which was a shock considering the dagger was goin to be £100 ! So I paid an left . What a horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend him . The only thing I would say is the place was very clean . The photo is the next day and I have a lot of bruising which I’ve never experienced before and a photo of the original Arabic writing.

The Kingdom Ink was looked impressive, so we took a chance and walked in, eventhough the artists were busy they took the time to find a way to get us our great tattoos before we left. We had Anya and Caesar. Phenomenal both of them.

He even suggested the best placement and gave advice on what would look good. The whole process took only about 10 minutes. I absolutely love how the tattoo came out. It’s so clean and beautifully done. I highly recommend! The first pictures are from the day I got the tattoo, and the second is from two days later after I removed the second skin.

I had a wonderful experience and such great service. Shauneen is an amazing apprentice and I couldn’t fault my experience getting tattooed by her! I also got a new piece of ear jewellery off of Lucy and she was super gentle and sweet removing the previous hoop I had in. Will be back.
