Monumental Ink Ipswich

Fantastic experience: I had my work done on Tuesday (3rd March 2026) with Ben. The consultation previously was handled brilliantly and the appointment for the work was booked at the end of that visit with the expected price. I was advised that the artwork would be emailed to me a couple of days before for my approval. This happened as promised. The studio is large, airy and modern with a good atmosphere. The work was carried out by Ben superbly well with lots of communication regarding placement before the needle went in. Overall, a truly professional studio producing high quality work with great communication. No brainer in my opionion.

Fantastic experience: Have had 3 tattoos with Poppy now and she is just fab. Listens to ideas and gives great ideas too. All 3 I've had have meant so much and she did me and the people they are about proud!

The day was well structured, from demonstrating proper hygiene and cleanliness to show you how to use a tattoo machine and supporting you whilst you used one. Fantastic experience: Had my first tattoo done by Jazmine at Monumental Ink Ipswich. From the initial consultation where we discussed what I wanted to the actual day of having it done, everything went super smoothly. Jazmine tells you at each stage what's she's doing and makes sure you are comfortable. The studio is bright and airy and you can clearly see that the crew there really respect the art and enjoy what they do. I will definitely be going back once I figure out what kind of dragon I want on my other arm.

Fantastic experience: Amazing work by James, I felt welcomed and staff were friendly. He retouched an old tattoo and made it look like new again with some added colour. He listened to what I wanted and was professional throughout. I was recommended monumental ink as my sister went to their Colchester shop but as I live in Ipswich it made sense to go here. He brings you along the creative journey from the consultation, all the way through to the final piece. I put my trust in Ben and the final piece is just as I wanted, if not even better. I can't say how happy I am with it in words. Ben was always contactable and when I had to cancel a session due to sickness, he was more than understanding. Top fella and top artist! As for the studio, really chilled relaxed vibes, clean throughout, really friendly staff and clear instructions from payment to aftercare. I can't recommend this place enough. If you're worried about the waiting times, please know that it is totally worth it! Thanks again guys!!

Fantastic experience: First tattoo done here (August 2023). The staff are ridiculously helpful, considerate and supportive helping you step by step through the process of getting inked. The studio is modern, clean, open planned and creates a relaxed environment. Having a tattoo here , working with the artist (Ben) has been a great experience and I would recommend the MI Ipswich team to anyone considering getting tattooed. Second set of tattoos done with the fantastic Ben Hepton this week (September 2025). Another great experience and environment. MI is a great place for either your first or your next ink! Cannot recommend highly enough .

Fantastic experience: A fantastic experience! Tayla was amazing from the get go. From messages to meeting in person she completely got what I wanted and seemed just as excited as I was. This was my first tattoo so I was a little nervous but she made me feel completely comfortable and spoke me through everything. The line work is incredible and has healed fantastically so far! I also want to mention that when an earlier slot came available that was half an hour shorter than my original slot she came in earlier so I could have the same amount of time (making sure to allow time for extra breaks as this was my first tattoo). She listened to what I wanted for a design and made the slight adjustment I wanted, her design came out lovely. I would recommend her for anyone wanting to get their first tattoo or any tattoo in general. I honestly can't compliment her or the studio enough. Thank you Monumental Ink and thank you to Tayla!

Fantastic experience: Tayla did two tattoos for me and I am so happy with them. One was a line drawing of a family photo and one is a cute little heart with headphones on. She was so kind and chilled- which is always nice. She had prepared and cleaned everything before I went in so was not waiting too long. The studio is open plan, has lots of amazing art and tattoo designs on the walls to look at and is not too loud (at the time I was there) It was a bit hot in there but there were fans and it was expected as it was nearer the end of the afternoon on a hot day. Overall, a very good experience and it felt like a nice vibe between all the (very talented) artists there :)

Positive experience: A brilliant tattoo shop absolutely bursting with talent! I've gone regularly to see Ben and I've always been amazed by his designs! And while walking around the shop you can see he's surrounded by equally friendly and skillful people! The only thing that makes this place lose a mark is they lacked air conditioning, it's a long sit when it's 30⁰.. but I'm sure that'll be handled soon!

From the first interaction with the team though to meeting Robert for my consultation and then being lucky enough for him to actually tattoo me has been nothing short of perfection. The cleanliness and standards are top tier, customer service has been outstanding and Robert’s artwork for me is out of this world…. I cannot rate Monumental Ink high enough and will recommend them to everyone.

Fantastic experience: Jazmine designed and inked the most stunning tattoo of the goddess, Artemis, on my thigh and I am absolutely blown away by her talent. Everyone at Monumental Ink was friendly and accommodating, the studio was clean and had a great atmosphere. The whole time it was a comfortable place with a relaxed environment with all the staff being friendly and chatting away as they worked. Fantastic experience: I’ve wanted some work on my sleeve for a long time and have a snoop at artists on Instagram quite often. I came across Tayla’s social media and saw available designs that she was offering and flash bookings too. These are stunning… so I looked through her previous work and these amazing offers and I got in touch. I was given available dates and booked in.. Since then I’ve had sessions and booked 2 more dates. I’m absolutely blown away by Tayla’s floral, line and dot work, her concentration, imagination and willingness to work with your ideas to visualise and plan together. I actually got two pieces of script work from my loved ones tattooed by Tayla and they came out so well. Such a sentimental thing for her to have nailed it. She maximises her time with you, gives you realistic expectations and is just good company. Her work is beautiful, her attitude is so welcoming and I recommend all my friends - without need tbh because her designs speak for themselves.

She is incredibly talented and I couldn't be more happy with the result. The cost was completely reasonable for the quality of the work that was done. The cleaniness of the studio is clearly kept to a very high standard by all who work there. I'll definitely be back for any more tattoos I want to have done.
