Negative experience: DO NOT GET PIERCED BY JP, the worst experience I’ve ever had with any business! Got my rook pierced horizontally instead of vertically despite showing a photo beforehand that he barely glanced at. Was very aggressive, stabbing my inner ear several times causing excessive bleeding. When I brought up his mistake, he proceeded to tell me to come back in 2 weeks if I still don’t like it, which I did. I was then told he “didn’t have time” to repierce it that day despite having an appointment so I’d have to come back a third time!?! On top of all this he was VERY condescending, rude and made every mistake seem like it was all my fault. While I am just a teenage girl I have never felt so disrespected and uncomfortable, would never recommend this place as long as JP works there. While he gave me a slight discount for the jewelry the third time I returned, it was horrible quality and broke just a few days later.

Fantastic experience: Went in last minute with only a general idea of what I wanted and Jim not only took the time to fit me in right then and there, he also created something super unique and fitting for why I wanted what I did. Would highly recommend this shop and Jim personally. Stoked with the outcome of the tattoo, how quickly he worked and how comfortable the conversation and experience was!

Negative experience: My experience at this shop wasn’t positive. I personally felt that my interactions with Jim, Voodoo, and Gena came across as uncourteous, and I didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed during my visit. This is only my experience, and others may have different ones, but I wanted to share how it felt from my perspective. After my appointment, my tattoo became infected. I’m not sure what caused it, but it was concerning and added to my overall negative experience. I’m only sharing what happened to me personally.

Brought my teenager for his first tattoo here and the staff was so professional and kind making his first time experience one he will remember for the rest of his life. I will definitely be back again. The shop was clean and decorated very nicely. The owner Jim is an awesome and positive person. They even have a roof top patio which was nice to relax on in the sun while we waited for our artist to set up. I got my face tattooed here and my son got his arm tattooed. Thanks again!

Fantastic experience: Since I’ve moved to the Island, I’ve only gone to Incendiary for tattoos and piercings. I’ve had quite a bit of work done in other parlours before moving here and choose to continue to use incendiary as I have always been treated with respect and professionalism. Jim has done all my piercings, including the more intimate ones and never made me feel anything but comfortable! I have been tattooed by multiple artists from this shop and have had great experiences from them all. They are all super talented, and I’ve never been unhappy with any service provided to me. All my tattoos and piercings healed beautifully and still look amazing years later. I will always recommend this shop!

Fantastic experience: I have never personally been to Incendiary Tattoos; however, I had the pleasure of meeting Jim at a tattoo convention in 2016 down in the Bahamas, where I am from. I walked to every booth at the convention, talking with every artist while looking for someone to do some work. The artist I ended up choosing was Jim. Hands down, he is one of the best artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Jim has not only become a good friend of mine, but he’s also well-liked by my friends and family who have all had the pleasure of meeting him. I can only imagine the atmosphere inside his studio to be not only welcoming, but surely an electrifying experience.

Fantastic experience: I don’t even know where to start with this review, Jim is not only an insanely incredible artist but he’s also one of the best people I know. He is unbelievably caring about his work, his shop, and his clients. Jim did my memorial piece for my dog and did an absolutely beautiful job and now he is working on my epic cover up that he was willing to finish for me after my last artist ripped me off. I am truly believe I’m very lucky to call him not only my artist but my friend as well.

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars – would let him stab me again in a heartbeat) If you’re looking for a tattoo artist who can take an ancient, regrettable tribal mess on your back and turn it into actual art, Jim Carter at Incendiary Tattoo is your guy. I walked in with a tragic early-2000s “I thought this looked cool in a motorcycle magazine” disaster, and Jim just looked at it, laughed (politely), and said, “Yeah, we can fix that.” Three sessions in on the cover-up and it’s already night-and-day better. The new piece is crisp, bold, and flows like it was always meant to be there. Dude’s got magic in those hands. The shop itself? Spotless. Like, you-could-eat-off-the-floor clean (please don’t, that’s weird). Everything is wrapped, sterilized, and organized better than my mom’s Tupperware cabinet. Professionalism is off the charts – appointment times are respected, consultation is thorough, and Jim actually listens instead of just nodding while planning his grocery list. Now, fair warning: Jim has a heavy hand. We’re not talking “gentle summer breeze” here – we’re talking “angry hornet with a grudge.” But honestly? If a little sting sends you running, maybe stick to temporary tattoos from the grocery store quarter machine. Real ink hurts; that’s part of the deal. Bring your big-kid pants and you’ll be fine. I’ve known Jim personally for over six years (long enough to confirm he’s the same stand-up, no-BS human being inside the shop as he is outside of it). The man’s honest to a fault – he’ll tell you if an idea sucks, he’ll tell you if you’re being dramatic about the pain, and he’ll still give you a killer tattoo while roasting you gently. 10/10, highly recommend. Just maybe do some push-ups before your session so you don’t cry in front of him. (I didn’t cry. Much.) Go see Jim at Incendiary Tattoo. Tell him I sent you – and then brace yourself, buttercup. Fantastic experience: Jimmy has done absolutely amazing work on me. He’s done my entire back, front and back of thighs and fixed up my chest piece. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I’ve been pierced by him three times without any issues. Honestly when I played with a tattoo gun myself and messed up my work he was right there to fix it and make me feel good about the work. I love the vibe of the shop and wouldn’t go anywhere else:-)

Negative experience: Mediocre art work, and the service was way, way overpriced. Staff were extremely cold and the atmosphere was miserable. Went in for a consultation to see if this was the place to get good work done out here. Immediately they acted like we were wasting their time asking about their prior works before giving them money. Worst part, guy (turns out he was the owner?) working there was a full on creep. Paying far too much special attention to the underage girls there instead, who were clearly intoxicated. Bad vibes, decided to just leave. Upon further research turns out there are many, many wide ranging negative allegations about this shop. Glad we decided to book elsewhere. Be careful. Do your homework.

Everything from start to finish was perfection. The image was captured with incredible precision and such care and thought. Words will never begin to express my gratitude! The photo was taken minutes after completion, will post again once it’s healed. If you’re looking for superior quality and service, this is the place to be!

Fantastic experience: Jim saw my eldest at 17 and they wanted to get the bridge of their nose pierced. He told them to come back in a year or more. He made them feel so comfortable that when the year past they went in on their own to get it done. I took my niece in recently and he was just as sweet and kind as ever. She originally wanted her belly button done but he gave her the same speech, come back at 18 or older. She opted for a rook piercing and he walked her through all the steps it and made sure she knew all of the important things to make sure it healed properly. This wasn’t her first piercing, and he could see that, but he still went through all of the steps because let’s face it, even adults struggle to look after new piercings and kids will be kids. We will definitely be going back to Jim for more piercings in the future (and she is counting down the time till he will do the belly button!).

Fantastic experience: I took my 13 year old daughter to Incendiary Tattoo three weeks ago to have her ears pierced. This was her first piercing. Jim was the perfect fit for us. His clean shop, clear direction and no nonsense skilled approach was the perfect fit. He was very clear with her about after care instructions. She has had no issues with the healing process and loves her earrings. Thanks Jim!

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing artist, took one sec to do the piercing. Didn’t even hurt…so cool.

Negative experience: Got my eyebrow re-pierced here, it started migrating after 2 weeks, now completely rejected. The 14 gauge bar they put in was way too big for my piercing and was externally threaded. There is noticeable scarring now. If you’re looking to get pierced you’re better off going to a piercing specialist since it seems like something they do on the side here. At least the service was fast and reasonably priced.

He did such an amazing job, This piece held so much meaning for me and I couldn't be happier with all the work and thought he put into really bringing this piece to life for me. I've had so many compliments on his line work and how great my tattoo turned out. I have had no issues with the healing process and am excited to go back to have the shading and color done. I can't wait to see how it looks when it is all done!

Negative experience: I would give zero stars if I could . Nothing but scar tissue and serious damage . Jim is a horrible tattoo artist . He only did the touch ups on this that are completely scared and destroyed .
