Fantastic experience: Geri is awesome and super great to work with. Her style matched what I was looking for and booking an appointment was quick and easy. The first draft of my piece needed some minor changes and Geri made them quickly and produced exactly the image I had in my mind.

Fantastic experience: The tattoo zoo was a phenomenal experience. The shop was clean and welcoming, and the staff were so accommodating for my friends wheelchair. My artist, Chelsea, was fantastic when it came to helping me tweak my design exactly how I wanted it. She encouraged me to be picky and specific about placement and speak up if anything wasn't the way I wanted. She was endlessly patient with me when I asked her to move the stencil more than once, and by the end of my session she had created the exact tattoo I had been envisioning in my head for the past year. I can't believe how perfect it turned out, especially for a walk in appointment! It was my first tattoo and the tattoo zoo made it such a positive experience for me. I can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: Got a tattoo here recently and was just a lovely experience! The space is super cool and inviting and the atmosphere is so nice and relaxed. The artists there really make an effort to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable there and it really shows! I saw Kara for my tattoo and love the ink. It actually ended up looking way better than I had pictured it originally! I couldn’t think of a negative thing to say about the space or the artists if I tried! Fantastic experience: I love Tattoo Zoo!!! My experience getting my first tattoos was perfect. Geri tattooed me, and from the beginning made me feel so wonderful about the whole thing. Everybody in the shop was so sweet. Geri was so great at making sure everything was exactly the way I wanted, and I felt reassured in being able to bring up any concerns or tweaks I wanted done to the piece. I couldn't recommend this shop more. I am in love with my tattoos, and the whole process only made me want more! Hope to visit for another tattoo soon! :)

Fantastic experience: Ari was my artist and this was genuinely the best tattoo experience i’ve ever had, all of the lines look sharp and perfect and Ari really took the time to redraw and edit my design to make it absolutely perfect i was so comfortable the whole time and my nerves instantly left me when i met Ari because they were so comforting! i would highly suggest this place to anyone. if i could give one critique it would just be the second skin, it could have been applied a little better and it just didn’t stick how it was placed but it really didn’t matter that much that’s just the only thing i would change about my experience:)

Fantastic experience: I went in to see Geri for my first tattoo in 24 years. I'm a nervous person but Geri made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She isn't just professional but very easy to converse with. With the images I sent her she came up with a concept, and while, as I am a person that doesn't like to ask for much she was incredibly receptive to my ideas regarding my final design. I was shown different sizes of the design to find what would fit my inner forearm properly without compromising the quality of work she put in. It was an absolute pleasure working with her. I think I've found my one and only tattoo artist because you better believe I'm going back for more. The shop is cozy, cute and friendly (check out the wallpaper in the bathroom, so adorable) I recommend this business to anyone looking for something unique with a staff that want you to leave happy.

Fantastic experience: Went to Victoria with my friends over the weekend and spontaneously decided that before we leave, I was going to get my very first tattoo. Google directed me here, and I was truly so lucky to have found this place. Everyone at Tattoo Zoo are all so welcoming and kind and vibrant and artistic, and you can truly feel the love they have for what they do and for their art. They filled me with so much comfort and helped my anxiousness go away (because I'm afraid of needles). Geri had been the one who created my piece. I showed her what I wanted — a line-art of something like an exploding star — and she had sketched and inked something even better. It was, is, so beautiful and I still cannot stop looking at the mirror to see the piece in better perspective. The beautiful session concluded with a hearty ring from the bell (for first time members of the 'club') and I truly can't wait to come back to Tattoo Zoo <33 - PM

Fantastic experience: Wowzers! This place and these people are the absolute best! The service was kind, gentle, informative, and compassionate. Ari did a top notch job of making me feel comfortable, safe and heard while providing me with a stunning piece of art that I will cherish forever. And don't even get me started about the decor--bravo! I mean the bathroom was plastered in green wall paper with pairs of poodles celebrating my peeing. There was mouth wash, sanitary products and the cutest pink lockers I ever did see. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Fantastic experience: i got a tattoo today from charlie and it was the most amazing experience! the shop may look small but it is so welcoming and decorated in such a cool way. the space is super inclusive and charlie made sure i was completely comfortable with everything we were doing from stencilling to taking end result photos. i felt at ease in this shop and i highly recommend it if your thinking about getting some new ink here!

Fantastic experience: I received my first ever tattoo this year from Geri at Tattoo Zoo and was really impressed with the customer service. I struggle with social anxiety and had been putting off getting a tattoo due to being worried about people poking fun at me for my quiet personality. I figured a tattoo shop would be too intimidating and give me an anxiety attack. It was a big relief to be welcomed and treated like an old friend (even on the form to sign up, there was a space to note any accomodations you need). Thank you for being so inclusive and kind to people of all sorts. My first experience went extremely well and it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. The design is beautiful and it makes me smile whenever I see it.

Fantastic experience: I always feel very welcome in Tattoo Zoo. They have really made it feel like a safe space that you want to be in. I have only ever had tattoos done by Geri, who is an amazing artist and person, but all the other artists I have encountered in the shop are also extremely kind people, complimenting each other's work, and always seeming happy to be there. Geri always asks before touching your body, and you can really tell that respect is a huge priority, which is amazing when you're dealing with something so vulnerable like tattooing a body. I could go on forever about all the positive things I have to say about Geri and Tattoo Zoo!

Negative experience: Was all set to get some work done on a tattoo i have,you have to wear a mask in this business though,despite the pandemic being long over,it even says on the door everybody welcome.i guess not conservative minded people as the continuation of mask wearing if fully a liberal thing.was exited to come down to a local shop and spend a little bank roll,im not catering to businesses that support things that hurt Canada.think about that policy down there folks,cost you 1500 bucks today.

Fantastic experience: I had a tattoo with Vic, and the experience was amazing. I've had many many tattoos over the years from other artists, and Vic was one of my favourite sessions! Vic is gentle, comforting, accommodating, and detailed. Would absolutely recommend anyone to get tattooed by them, and I will definitely be getting tattooed again by them in the future.

Fantastic experience: Ahhhhhh! Thea is literally the best tattoo artist. Such a sweet soul and super accomodating. I feel so comfortable around them and they have beautiful flash! They normally complete tattoos super quickly as they are incredibly skilled at their work. I have now received flash, get what you get, and a custom tattoo from them. I haven’t been as willing to go back to a tattoo shop as I have when Thea tattoos! I feel so lucky to have been tattooed by Thea. I’m sure you’d be lucky to be tattooed by literally any other artist at this store. However Thea is my personal fave :)

Fantastic experience: I loved working with Geri. Super professional, talented, and the most knowledgeable person in the room- a comfort and comfortable person to be tattooed by. There’s always an awkward dance of putting something permanent on someone’s body and what aesthetically is recommended, Geri tactfully adds her two cents and beautiful artistry. Clean, quiet shop, queer friendly, Covid minded and in general if there were any concerns I felt totally comfortable at tattoo zoo. A nice place to hang out and get tattooed, Geri is down to earth and pleasant and does phenomenal work. Beyond impressed.

Fantastic experience: Let’s have a lovely chat about the talented.. gorgeous.. divine.. Geri! I’ve been going to tattoo zoo for a number of years at this point, but had yet to be tattooed by Geri. I knew I wanted to! Because all our interactions had been so friendly and comfortable. She really is just such a gem I approached her with a giant half sleeve that needed covered/reworked. I’d carried this awful thing and terrible experience on my arm for at least a decade. It made me sad to look at. I hated it.: and that part of myself. I felt it could never be helped unless I blacked it out. But then Geri and I had a consultation and she said Yes! Yes to the project! yes I can do something with this! And my gosh! Did she ever! I now have a half sleeve that I adore! It’s simply gorgeous!! I couldn’t have asked for more. Heart eyes forever at this beautiful thing I get to stare at daily! I have been given so much more confidence and now have a good and loving connection with this part of my body that I had hated for years! Geri gave me something beyond just a tattoo! Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Geri just last night, and she created a STUNNING floral piece that covered up an old and unwanted tattoo on my collar bone. I am beyond thrilled I was able to get in while her books were open (they filled up quick!) I gave her freedom to create a beautiful piece, and it did not disappoint! Fantastic experience: Geri is phenomenal. I have never been one to feel comfortable letting any artist take liberties, but I found out after meeting Geri that I simply had never been comfortable enough with the person. Geri put me at ease immediately and I'm so glad she did. The work we came up with together was perfect and I received the most amazing piece. Another time, she did the most amazing cover-up for me. The original tattoo and the end result could not be more different but you would never know the first existed in the first place. I will forever sing Geri's praises. I'm so grateful to her for my upgrades. Absolutely adore her.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere in this shop is so welcoming and safe, and Geri is an absolute Goddess with the tattoo gun. She is patient, attentive, and really cares that the tattoo you leave with is perfect to you. The tattoo I got here was actually a cover-up but it's ended up being my favourite piece. Cannot recommend this place enough.
