Red Cat Studio Walk-In Tattoo & Piercing

Fantastic experience: I waited thirty years to get my next Tattoo. I'm glad I waited and found Red Cat. I couldn't be happier with my ink. First class service all the way. Dimitri did an amazing job.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a walk-in tattoo with a design ready and these guys were fantastic!! They were super kind and the tattoo artist Dimitri did an amazing job. Super professional but also laid-back vibe, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quick and easy walk-in tattoo experience!!

Negative experience: I got my helix piercings at here on June 2nd and It was awful. Not only they pierced it diagonally and in a weird angle, they struggled to screw my piercing so I was in pain for literally 15 mins 8 Months In Edit: I took it out. It was so crooked and slanted, evaluated by two other piercers -- one APP certified. This shop pierced my helix on the slope of my ear diagonally. It never healed properly despite giving it 8 months, and no, it's not my aftercare. I have 11 other piercings 9 on ears and 2 on faces -- I know how to take care of a piercing. They used a wrong size of bar and it was initially imbedding; I had to upsize it. And yes, I was in fact in pain for nearly 15 minutes because they couldn't screw my jewelry and it is true that they had to call over another piecer to screw the threaded jewelry, and to add on it's not even a good material. Do not get your ear pierced at here. I wasted my 8 months, money and pain I had to go through. I deeply regret my foolish decision of not researching further.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! The piercers have been really nice and put in the effort to make sure you get a piercing you'll love. Iullia did my septum yesterday and I'm deeply in love with it :) super clean, knowledgeable, and lots of piercings to choose from too!

Fantastic experience: This is our second time visiting Red Cat Studio for piercings and they are excellent! All the staff are extremely knowledgeable and the studio is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: i went in just asking for help putting my nose piercing back in, i already had the piercing with me and i even had an earring in my nose so the hole wouldn’t close, i just couldn’t get it in myself, then a girl tried charging me $22 to “put it in.” what exactly am i being charged for? i didn’t get it pierced there, there was already a hole in my nose and i already walked in with the jewelry, charging $22 to clean my nose and slide a piercing back into an existing hole is crazy, this place is overpriced, not just for this situation but for the other piercings they offer as well, save your money and go somewhere else with fair, honest pricing.

Negative experience: I got blocked on instagram for showing concern that they were using Ai generated content in their ads, which might make people think they are using it in their tattoos. I was swiftly blocked with no response. I wasn’t even being rude. Im sure you have plenty of talented artists that make your tattoos so why use meta ai to promote your shop? Anyways im rather disappointed because i was looking for reassurance that you dont use AI for your Tattoos because i really wanted to get one of the halloween gumball machines but got worried because of the ad. but the fact that i was blocked immediately makes me suspicious. :( I dont think i need to get a tattoo from you to write a review for how you treated me online. Very unprofessional response :( also ive heard from enough people who Have gotten tattoos from you that they hate them. I wasn’t going to mention this but someone i know works near you and sees your staff allegedly smoking weed pens outside all the time. Im all for smoking but Absolutely not while doing body modifications. (“dont deal with nonsense” aka “cant handle criticism.”) there is a difference. Just editing to show their first actual response. Also the fact you are defending ai use is concerning.

Negative experience: I’m leaving this review to just share my personal experience with this studio and I am very disappointed by what happened. I decided on a whim to get a walk-in belly button piercing with my friend. The piercer took a look at our belly buttons and said we both had perfect anatomy, but since my friend had forgotten her ID, we had to leave and come back the next day. Once we walk in the next day the same piercer came to look at our belly buttons once more and decided that our anatomies weren’t very suitable for that kind of piercing even though the day before she said that they were. I thought that the piercer might not have known what she was actually doing but went ahead with the piercing anyway. Mind you this is my first piercing ever other than my ears so I didn’t really know what to expect. But anyway, she marked where the piercing was going to be placed and I thought it looked good. As soon as she pierced me and I looked in the mirror it just looked so wrong. It was very slanted and the bottom ball of the jewelry wasn’t even visible. The bar for the jewelry was also very short because the piercer pierced it through so much tissue. I payed 120 dollars for it to be very crooked. Shortly after it got pierced it ended up getting infected which I think was partially due to the bar being way too short. I had to go to the ER and pay out of pocket for a week long round of antibiotics just to make the infection go away. And that wasn’t even the last of it. Two months after it got pierced I went to a different studio in my home town to get some new jewelry for it (because the bar on the one they pierced me with was so short for how much tissue they went through!!) and I ended up getting a second opinion on the piercing. This piercer at the studio in my home town said that I have very perfect anatomy for a perfect navel piercing and they really messed it up. He had said that they pierced it through wayyy too much tissue which made it look like a floating navel even when that’s not what I asked for. He also said that he was very sorry that I had to go through this experience and that it’s super disappointing that they didn’t admit they made such a mistake. My piercing was so incredibly crooked and wonky that even with new jewelry it would just be uncomfortable for me. I ended up getting it taken out and now i have to wait for 6 months to get it re-pierced. I am very disappointed at this studios unprofessionalism and lack of attention to detail. I truly believe this studio lacks the effort and quality that’s so important when preforming body modifications. I hope you find this review helpful thank you for reading.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this studio! I’ve been getting tattooed here for years, even back when they were in their old location in Nanaimo. So happy they are in Victoria now! The artists are incredibly talented, professional, and welcoming, and they always make the whole experience comfortable and fun. Every piece I’ve gotten here has healed beautifully and the attention to detail is amazing. You can tell they genuinely care about their craft and their clients. The new Victoria space is bright, clean, and has such a great vibe. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my tattoos, highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for quality work and good people.

Negative experience: My friends and I were really excited about getting gum-ball tattoos. We got there about 2:30 pm on a Sunday, while there was only two people ahead of me it took 3 hours of waiting to get in the chair (which is fair enough with a walk in) however while the guy that did my tattoo was nice, the lines turned out rather wonky on bottom of the bottle, and his hand tattooing was incredibly heavy, felt a bit like the needle was shoved to the base of my skin (the dots actually bruised a bit). I’ve had a number of tattoos in that section of my arm but this one by far was the most painful - and in comparison to a tattoo I got a few days later in a more sensitive part of my arm, barely hurt at all. Plus, the gumball section I chose (the witchy vibes for 150$) the tattoo design itself wasn’t far from what they had going for 125$. I’m a little bit disappointed with my experience overall, and I understand that things can happen but I won’t be back. Plus my regular tattoo artist who I already have scheduled to fix this one up told me mine is the third tattoo fix from red cat he’s had this month.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 experience Iulia is one of the most professional and skilled piercers I’ve ever had and I’ve had at least 80 piercings and have worked in the industry. I was in the chair less than 5 minutes and I didn’t even feel the piercing. Her hands are light, her technique is flawless and her eye for placement is spot on. As a walk in the ease and comfort of this experience was really incredible. I would definitely send my friends to this shop. The shop is flawless and gorgeous. The prices are extremely reasonable. ( fresh piercings are always done with larger size jewellery to allow for swelling so this will be sized down after the appropriate healing time )

Fantastic experience: I could not be more pleased with my experience at Victoria’s Red Cat Tattoo! I’m visiting from Seattle and we don’t really have walk-in tattoo parlors, so I jumped at the chance to get one of the tattoos I’ve been wanting for a while. The artist took a lot of time creating a template for my tattoo and did an excellent job! To top it off, they stayed a little past closing to finish up. The staff was wonderful and the parlor was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Victoria’s Red Cat Tattoo!

Fantastic experience: Went to Red Cat to get a walk-in tattoo. The tattoo gumball machine was so fun and ended up getting a moth from the butterflies/moth machine. The artists were all extremely friendly and did amazing shading work!

Fantastic experience: The artists and piercer are bubbly and kind people who are passionate and enthusiastic about their craft. I got a piercing and tattoo in the same visit, and they were just as excited as I was! The studio is bright, clean, and open. The chairs are incredibly comfortable, and the tattoo machines are cordless and quieter than others that I’ve experienced. The staff walk through their steps with you to make sure you’re comfortable, not just physically, but with what they’re doing. A truly lovely shop, and I will definitely be coming back! ❤️
