Fantastic experience: Start by getting my first cover up done by Shan in 2017, I’ve seen him two more times since to add on to his work. Even though the appointments can be years apart he still treats me as if I’m a regular client. I get asked and stopped regularly to ask who did my sleeve. Super fun vibes in the studio, very clean! Cant say enough good things about Shan and the rest of the team.

Fantastic experience: I got a micro tattoo by alex at cold lakes tattoo expo, and he did a damn good job. It was my first tattoo and i was worried but all my worries were for nothing as i'm very happy with his work. He was also very friendly. Ill be coming back for another from him on sunday.

Fantastic experience: This is my absolute favourite tattoo shop! I have gotten tattoos done by Shan and Raph. Both are incredibly talented artists! Shan did an amazing job on my tattoos when I came as a walk-in. The design he came up with from my reference photo was exactly what I wanted and he executed it perfectly. Raph has done my custom pieces. I am constantly amazed at his creativity. Especially with my latest piece. I gave him a very tall order. I didn't even know how I wanted it to look! but he worked his magic and created the most stunning design!. During my first session of this piece, I got a little faint. I was nervous to say something because I have never gotten faint during a tattoo before and have also gotten yelled at by nurses for getting faint. Raph took excellent care of me. He immediately got me some snacks and juice and made sure I was okay. He was so kind and it made me feel less embarrassed. The tattoo was perfect! and I get so many compliments on my pieces he's done. Thank you Raph! You're awesome :) The shop itself is really nice. All of the artists keep their stations very clean and organized. The other artists I have met during my sessions were also very kind. I have never felt comfortable in other shops before. I'm so happy that the staff at Fountainhead go the extra mile to make their clients feel welcomed. I will definitely be back for more ink in the future! Thanks guys :)

He was fantastic to work with, very responsive to texts and made the tattooing experience as pleasant, and lest agonizing, as possible. He is WELL worth his hourly rate, and in my unprofessional opinion, he could probably increase his pricing a bit as his work is absolutely incredible. Even my mother, who is completely against tattoos and can find something negative to say about any tattoos my sister and I have, had absolutely nothing negative to say about this piece and said it is stunning. Thank you Raph, I look forward to seeing you in the future for more artwork.

Fantastic experience: My sister and I got our tattoo from Loan. It was a matching tattoo for us which we have been wanting to get forever! She was so friendly, gentle and funny. We spent around 2 plus hours there, yet felt like the time moved too fast. Loan was meticulous and explained everything from start to finish. It was my first tattoo and I’m prone to keloids, she made sure to be very gentle and used the low setting so I didn’t bleed! Fantastic experience: My experience at The Fountainhead was amazing. Right off the bat, when I entered for the first time, the atmosphere was very laidback yet professional at the same time, which was perfect for a tattoo parlour. All of the staff were friendly and I was greeted promptly even though they were busy. My consultation with Nathan was great, and was met with enthusiasm. He gave me great feedback on my vision, which allowed us to alter it in small but meaningful ways. Nathan gave me an opportunity to visit the shop and play around with the stencil to see what worked best. The experience of getting the tattoo was enjoyable too. All of the staff are friendly and have great energy together. I appreciate that he made sure that I was comfortable, and asked questions throughout. I am very enthusiastic about getting the tattoo touched up and finalized. Thank you Nathan and all of the staff at The Fountainhead!

Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the ink (not the shops fault) and he was able to fix it for me. 10/10 recommend Raph and now I know never to get purple tattoos! Lol. He is an exceptional artist and everyone at the shop is very kind and understanding.

Negative experience: Shady, unreliable place. Run! I gave them every opportunity to make this right before writing this review and have the receipts to back that up. Back in February, I met with Raph for a consult. I had to put 300 bucks deposit down for 3 appointments (in May and June). I explained I had a big event in June and didn’t want unfinished products. No problem. My first appointment comes up, Raph texts the day of and asks “can we do this tomorrow”? Then he said or we can start late. I said ok, start late. He’s clearly talented but he mixed up my sketches (that he’d done during the consult) and was a little irritated to correct them. With just him and I in the shop because I’d was “after hours” he proceeded to tattoo for 4 hours, never once speaking to me, asking if I wanted to see or needed a break. After 4 hours and about 9 pm, I’d had enough. I looked at it in the mirror and he hadn’t done much work in that time, a panther and a tulip, and he didn’t have the eyes even shaded in even though the picture was right in front of him. I went to pay with debit and he said, “you don’t have cash, I like cash at this time it’s after hours”. They have a machine at the back and I could only take out 500 at a time and it charges you 3 bucks each time you withdrawal. I thought 100 would be applied from my deposit (300 for 3 sessions) but nope, you have to attend all 3 and then they “say” they’ll deduct it from the last one. Appointment 2 comes up (2 weeks before my event). Raph again cancels, says he’s sick. I said ok feel better. He rescheduled for 4 days later 4 days later came, he cancels again. At this point I said if you can’t get me in, in the next few days, I’m going to have to cancel and get my deposit back. He can’t and said he understood about getting my deposit back. Obviously I’m juggling a schedule myself and I doubt the same grace would’ve been given to me had I cancelled or kept cancelling. I sent them a message on IG, speaking with someone who identified themselves as Shan. They were apologetic and said they can’t do EMT to refund my deposit, but they’d like the chance to complete the work and give me a better impression of the shop. He said let know when you’re available after the 8th. I said ok message me and let’s see if we can work out a plan. By the 14th I still hadn’t heard from them so I messaged again. Shan said they just got back from time off. Really tired of getting the runaround at this point and found another artist. They said he couldn’t put the money back on my card or EMT. I’m 50 minutes away. Then they said they can send it but it would charge me 5 bucks (again EMT doesn’t charge 5 bucks). They said for business it does. So again I say ok, it’s better than the gas going in there and back. Shan says “I’ll send it tomorrow morning”. Guess what? Doesn’t happen. 2 days later they still haven’t sent it. I’ll get my 300 back, they can be sure of that, but I’ll never get my time back. I hope even 1 person reads this and goes elsewhere. My full piece should’ve been long done by now.

Fantastic experience: I got a piece done by Raph earlier in the month and he does excellent work. Raph pays so much attention to detail and it truly shows when you take a look through his portfolio. The vibe of the shop is super relaxed and it makes you feel like you're hanging out with friends. My session was about 3 hours long and I sat across from Loan's chair and she is hilarious - really helps to make the time by go quicker. I'd highly suggest this shop for your next tattoo.

It was a vine wrapping around my forearm covering previous scars, and all I can say is I wish I went sooner. I am beyond impressed and in love with my tattoo!! I’m shocked at how amazing it looks even over the scars that are still quite raised and uneven. Also, everyone is so super friendly, professional, the shop is gorgeous and clean! Fantastic experience: I had the absolute best experience EVER getting tattood by Khin today. Not only is the shop pristine, and immaculately kept, but the entire staff are so welcoming and friendly. As a female getting tattood on my chest, I was taken to a private room so I could be comfortable and not out in the open for all of the other clients to watch or look at me. It made me feel extremely safe, and respected. I also very much appreciated that if anyone needed to talk to my artist they didn’t just barge into the room, they knocked and waited outside of the door . Everyone was so very respectful. The very best part of the entire experience was being in Khins company. She is an absolutely phenomenal artist and I’m honoured to have her artistry gracing my body! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I had a cover-up done by Shan. I let him choose the art for the cover-up. When I had shown up for my appointment to get inked, I was absolutely blown away by what he had chosen. I don't think I would have been able to come up with something that I would have loved better. To say that Shan is very talented is an understatement. His traditional Japanese style of tattoos is unmatched. His attention to detail and unbelievably fine linework make for an outstanding tattoo. I am honoured to wear his work for the rest of my life. the tattoo healed amazingly, with no fading and all the colours just pop right out at you. The shop atmosphere is very welcoming, professional and clean, and everyone was very friendly. I will definitely be going back for all my future tattoo needs.

Fantastic experience: Best custom sleeve tattoo ever! I been to fountainhead over the years and the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. Shan does amazing work and the wait to see him is so worth it as his skills will blow you away. What I loved about my experience was just the talented professionalism. If you listen to them they are constantly sharing knowledge and skills with each, they all attend tattoo conventions and we’re sharing information about the next one. It’s nice to see a team share knowledge between each other. What impressed me the most was seeing another tattoo artist practicing on a type of skin to improve techniques and tattoo skills. Like your working on your craft and talent to always improve your skills. Now when I see that type of dedication it makes me think that the cost of my tattoo was a steal of a deal.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love the artists here, I have tattoos from Shae, Morgan and am currently working with Shan on a bigger project. I feel so welcomed and honoured with the expression of love that goes into the work done here - I will never stop coming to these guys, they create beautiful masterpieces and are amazing individuals.

Fantastic experience: Nathan did my first tattoo and the experience was very chill and wonderful! He and Loan talked me through the process and added some humour as well. Overall, it was an awesome experience and I love the tattoo! I enjoyed the music and casual conversations.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. I went for a consult with Kev. He made they design process easy, we talked about a couple of ideas to add to my American traditional sleeve that is in progress. He also managed to camouflage a mistake from a previous artist. The vibe was chill, Kev was open to answered all my questions. He was also clearly respected by his peers in the shop. It was cool to see an OG share his wisdom! Thanks Kev, see you soon!
