Fantastic experience: Sacred Skin tattoo shop is so relaxing and everyone was super chilled and very knowledgeable my experience with Catherine was very positive and she is a fantastic artist Would highly recommend this place Thank you for the great opportunity to have my artwork done through you guys

Negative experience: Permanent disappointment. I chose the studio because I was looking for an artist designed tattoo. I provided some examples and was told that the artist would draw up something for me. What I got was a photoshop manipulated elements from my examples. No actual design. I received it a day before my tattooing session. When I responded with what I was looking for I got a response that the artist was going to design the tattoo for me on the day. I decided to take a back up design. Showed it to the artist and he got very excited saying that he liked texture in tattoos. I asked him if he was able to make a tattoo like the example and he confirmed. Needless to say he couldn’t. I realised half way through tattooing session that the outcome is nothing like the requested design. I was charged extra $100 from the quoted price for something I will need to either remove or get fixed elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I saw the artist Alex for my tribute lion leg piece. 10/10 extremely happy with the outcome. Keen to continue working with this artist and tattoo studio for more work. Staff and owner were all warm and welcoming people and I enjoyed my experience thoroughly. Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: 2 years ago today, I had a tattoo by Alex Fernandes that was pretty symbolic for me. To say he did it justice is an understatement. It's beautiful and I get many comments from cleanskins as well. After this experience I came back and am now over 20 hours in on a sleeve with Alex. I live 4 htours away so an 8 hr round trip and I despise driving the highway but I will go no where else. It is not just Alex's talent but the overall studio. It is clean, professional and above all welcoming. If you have ever felt nervous going into a tattooist but want to get tatted up, this is your place. Give Jo and Jess a call and they can match you with the right artist.

Fantastic experience: I had the absolute best experience with Alex. I originally got my tattoo done in Bali when I was about 19 or 20, it was a design I had created myself, and at the time I thought it was a great idea to get it done there. Smart of me, I know. Unfortunately, the result was nothing like what I’d imagined. Who could've guessed. When I came to Alex, my plan was for him to rework or “fix” the existing tattoo. But after looking at it and really understanding my vision, he suggested starting it again as a new piece, and honestly, that was the best decision ever. He completely brought my design to life the way I had originally intended, and gave it the attention and artistry it truly deserved. We did two sessions to complete it, and the difference is unbelievable. His work is absolutely stunning, the detail, the flow, the way it sits on my arm. Everything is perfect. Beyond the technical skill, he was so kind, patient, and professional throughout the whole process. He made me feel comfortable and confident from start to finish. I’ll 100% be going back to Alex to sort out the mess that is my original tattoo, this time with a design that will hide it better. I can’t thank Alex enough for it all. If you’re looking for an artist who truly listens, cares about your vision, and delivers incredible work, I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Fantastic experience: An awesome experience from start to finish. Booking in for a consult, the kiwi lady at reception was lovely, and very welcoming. The shop was clean, spacious and well laid out. Heiner was very accommodating with my design, when I went in for my consult. His knowledge and suggestions to tweak the design were excellent. Tattoo day and it was a loooooong session, but he was accommodating with breaks and patient when I needed to reposition or stretch. The tattoo turned out amazing, so much better than I could have imagined. Can't wait to have more work done.

Fantastic experience: At first all I really knew was that I wanted to add some colour to an existing tattoo, but I wasn't sure how it would look. Alex showed me how it could be turned into a beautiful watercolour piece that I love. To be clear, all colour + the asteroid was done by Alex. The rest of the black was by a different artist. I definitely plan on going back whenever I decide to get a 3rd tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Getting my Tattoo at Sacred Skin was wonderful. Shannon was extremely chill and understating and was a great help to get the best position and design. Her artwork, which I will now show off to friends at every chance I get, is just extraordinarily beautiful. She does Flowers and soft shading better than I could have hoped for. The nice music they played in store today and the fact that they all seemed happy to be there helped me tremendously to relax and look forward to the tattoo.

Fantastic experience: Alex was such an amazing guy and artist, gave me exactly what I wanted and didn’t skimp out on any detail on the fine lines, great conversation and even gave suggestions on how to spruce up my somewhat simple idea a bit more, which I loved, even the lovely lady at the counter was a stunning conversationalist and to top it off chupachups were being offered left right and centre. Lovely shop, lovely people, exceptional art, 10/10 will be coming back.

Negative experience: I received an incredible hand tattoo from the lovely Jess. The studio kept my $100 deposit because I had decided to book in a second tattoo. 7 days before that appointment I reached out to the studio via instagram, explaining I have some personal issues and want to cancel my appointment. Also requesting my deposit back. I waited a day and a half and decided to call them again to get an update. The manager picked up, I asked her for a time frame on when I would receive my deposit back. She accused me of canceling my appointment because Jess (my tattoo artist) had left and said I was going to see her at another studio (which is not true but even if it was that is completely my choice). I reminded her that I was canceling my appointment due to personal issues and that I would be flying home. She proceeded to ask me where I was flying to, which I found very invasive. I found her to be very unprofessional and quite rude.

Fantastic experience: Got a walk-in slot with Joey super last minute and it was the best choice I’ve ever made. From the get go Joey was relaxed, easy to talk to, listened to absolutely everything I said/ asked and kept a tidy vibe the entire session. I came in wanting to start a tribute piece on my back, with a single reference photo and the result Joey produced was nothing short of perfection. Chatted a bunch, got to know the bro, took a couple of breaks and it made the session an absolute dream. There’s so much more I could say but I’ll leave it at that. If you want a chill, personable and extremely talented artist I couldn’t recommend Joey enough.

Fantastic experience: Having emailed the studio with questions they were able to quickly help me and answer all questions. Following up with me a bit later we set a time and date for a consultation, arriving here and being greeted by an amazingly friendly team who made me feel welcome and comfortable. Jess got to work after a discussion and some inspo shared. This was an absolutely seamless process and i was so lucky that they even had time that day to fit me in which works well with shift work. Once i was happy with the design (which didn't take long as Jess was spot on) we were ready to tattoo. Jess was not only informative but compassionate and caring, this made the process so relaxing. I love the work she completed and am grateful to have come across her and this studio. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved interstate and was looking for a new tattoo studio that made me feel welcome, safe, and supported. Shannon and the team went well past my expectations and made me feel all of the above and more. They were extremely friendly and it just felt like I was with people I had known my whole life! I requested a design that could work around scarring and Shannon nailed it perfectly!! I HIGHLY recommend this studio if you’re an anxious person or haven’t had a tattoo before.

Fantastic experience: Shannon is excellent! I got a pretty unique insect which required the combination of a couple of reference photos which she was accommodated really well. We went under time too and she charged me less than the quoted price because of that. Really cool person to talk to too ^_^

Negative experience: I had a blackwork tattoo done by Shane this time last year. I understand blackwork will fade, especially in a high movement spot, but all the ink had fallen out within a few months. I’ve now had it redone by someone else who was far more gentle, caring and time efficient. I felt very disregarded and uncared by this artist, though everyone else in the studio were lovely. I love this tattoo, and I don’t regret getting it done, but I’ve had it checked by several other artists who have confirmed the ink should not have fallen out this fast. I feel it was due to the lack of care during the appointment. Edited to add - I could have gone back for a touch up or to discuss this with them. But I had felt so intimidated and dismissed the whole time, so I of course did not feel safe enough to do so. Another edit. Here’s the total kicker - despite direct contact about this tattoo and a public google review, they still decided to email me saying i “know the quality of their work” and asking me to come back for another tattoo. Nope! Told em to shove it.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I got tattooed by Shannon, Shannon was so patient with us when it came to editing the stencils and was more than happy to collaborate with us! All around great chats and vibes, Shannon always ensured we were comfortable and having a good time. Fantastic experience: I reached out to Sacred Skin last minute about getting some tattoos, and they managed to fit me in without any hassle. I’ve been tattooed at shops all over Australia, and this place is easily at the top of my list. Super easy to deal with, professional, and really helpful when it came to working with my design ideas. Both tattoos were done by Alex—one of them being a cover-up—and his work is honestly next level. He was professional from start to finish, and the creative changes he made during the design process were things I never would’ve thought of myself. The cover-up absolutely blew me away. Next time I’m in Brisbane, I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Massive thanks to Alex and the whole team at Sacred Skin—outstanding job.

Fantastic experience: First tattoo done today with Joey at Sacred Skin. I loved my experience, I came in excited but nervous and was met with complete consideration and reassurance, as well as a lot of knowledge behind tattooing. Such a great experience, Jo was super helpful and easy to deal with in preparation, on the day was so relaxed and we appreciated the advice and skill of the artists. Fantastic experience: From start to finish KIEREN and the team at sacred skin have been absolutely amazing helping with the booking side of things all the way to design kieren is out of this fricken world he's on a complete different level and such a nice attitude along with being happy to help redesign my tattoo to fit in my budget along with being open to doing more work and planning way ahead of time he's definitely got his stuff together when it comes to tattoos I couldn't recommend him enough and not to mention KIEREN DEFINITELY HAS THE SOFTEST HANDS IN THE GAME BY FAR. At the start he mentioned a few areas that would be more painful then others and with his touch I definitely felt it but nothing like what I had expected or experienced it was almost painless of course the pain was there but very minor compared to other tattoos Ive had in the past. KIEREN worked on a peace going the length of the bottom half of my leg and did such a good job I'm already planning another tattoo with him for as soon as possible

Fantastic experience: Had such a pleasant experience here! They were so responsive and friendly. I wanted a cover up and had been told I’d basically have to have a big black tattoo or I’d need tattoo removal from other studios. I was put in for a consultation with Alex and he was so kind and creative. He showed me how a coverup would work with what I had already and came up with such an amazing concept. But my expectations were well exceeded when I saw the final piece! He has insane skill and style. Such an inviting and friendly studio! Will be back for sure!

Fantastic experience: Walked into sacred skin Saturday afternoon, was pleasantly greeted by Wendy and Shannon. First of all, it smelt great in there and the atmosphere was calm and quiet. I felt genuinely so comfortable in a room filled with little needles and I can see myself going back again. Thankyou skin of the sacred’s, you were absolutely lovely.

Fantastic experience: I went here to get a tattoo, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Everyone was incredibly kind, respectful, and welcoming. Tony did my tattoo, and he was amazing—so patient and helpful throughout the entire process. He really made sure I was comfortable and happy with the design. The whole atmosphere was great, and I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Tony and team, for such a wonderful experience! + music is absolutely on point in the studio.

Negative experience: During consultation, font /size .. and it’s my first tattoo ever … etc .. two ladies.. one tattooist and one in a reception .. both agree with me , they said they will charge me $180 .. as my first tattoo and it’s just letters on my chest .. I paid deposit and did the next day .. did the exactly same font /design we talked yesterday.. all finished.. when I paid the left .. all of sudden , charged me $250 .. 3ladies were there on reception.. and just praised my first tattoo and they did a great job .so said you must be happy .. they got extra $70 .. but I will try to do my best to persuade anyone not to go there if I got any chance.

Kieren has a great, friendly attitude and clearly takes pride in his work - he always ensured I was okay and made sure I was comfortable.
