Fantastic experience: Even though I was a first timer, Turtle made me feel completely at ease, he was friendly and helpful. Very professional all round. The tattoo itself is incredible, and is everything I wanted it to be! Amazing details and shading, and the colours are spot on. Turtle has a lot of knowledge and experience and had some great ideas on how to really make the design stand out and look its best. Would highly recommend, whether its your first ink or more experienced, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: Absolute best experience! I had a tattoo on my back that was not only terrible work but also held a lot of shame for me, so desperately needed a cover up. When trying to work out where to go to get this done, I stumbled across Brusbane Tattoo and caught an awesome vibe from the bio on the website. I sent through a very poorly worded form trying to outline my ideas and a very, very brief explanation of why I wanted, or should I say needed the old one covered. From this turtle was able to interpret exactly what I was meaning and come up with a sketch that not only filled the brief but a piece that I instantly fell in love with, as it spoke to me. Although I did have to travel to see turtle, it was well worth it. It was as if the universe was pulling at me, that turtle was who I had see and I don't for one second regret listening to my gut on this one - it just felt right. The tattoo experience itself was enjoyable, with a clean studio, good music and even better convos. Turtle is very much down to earth and real, which is extremely refreshing in the world we live in now, that can often seem fake. Big respect to you turtle, thank you again!! 1 week in and my piece is healing nicely. I can't recommended turtle at Brisbane Tattoo highly enough. If you're wanting an awesome piece of art. Turtle is one cool dude. His experience and knowledge is evident and definitely shows in his work. He is calm, layed back, inclusive, respectful, honest and shows professionalism that I had not experienced with my previous tattooists. I loved that it's a private studio. He's very passionate about his work, easy to talk to and most of all he's very honest about what he can achieve with your ideas. Fantastic experience: Contacted Turtle through FB showed him what I was after, original design was tacky, he said he would be happy to create something for me, and man he hit the nail on the head, shop has an amazing vibe tunes were great, I kind of just laid there whilst the master got to work and its turned out great, I'll be back for the other leg soon, love ya work man!!!

Fantastic experience: From 1st contact right the way through this guy was AWESOME! I asked him to cover up a lot of very old self harm scars. I gave him a vague idea of what I wanted but basically told him he could do whatever covered the scars. The tatoo has to cover both thighs, stomach and some butt. I gave him a few picture ideas, knowing he likes to draw skulls but I asked him for feminine.... he sent through a picture that he drew that absolutely nailed what I wanted. I've been for my 1st and 2nd sitting with him and my tattoo is soo clean and crisp. After my 1st session I had an issue where part of my job knocked on my tattoo, he called me into his (cool salon, love it!) shop and gave me 'snakeskin' to protect my tattoo. From drawings to please a very vague description, to after-care, he has been 11 out 10.

Fantastic experience: Got my first proper piece yesterday with Turtle from Brisbane Tattoo, I`m 110% happy with the finished product and highly recommend going to these guys!! Turtle knows his stuff and is a mastermind when it comes to capturing your ideas and creating a unique design that exceeds your expectations. I felt comfortable and at ease the whole time knowing this bloke is highly skilled and knows what he's doing. You only have to have a scroll through his gallery on the website to see the quality of work. The tattoo was done in a private studio with no disturbances. Studio has a sick vibe about it with good music. What more can I say... Turtle is an easy going bloke and actually has a genuine care about your tattoo including after care and follow up questions.

Fantastic experience: I got my first tattoo today. 7 hours and over half my arm done. I have to say I was impressed. Turtle is an artist by the very definition. We came up with a design, he had a drawing ready for me when i arrived and it was exactly the way I imagined it would look. Contrary to his name, Turtle is very fast and the detail is spectacular. Having met Turtle to discuss the design, and having read the reviews on here, my initial nervousness was completely replaced with excitement. At the initial meeting i brought some images of what I wanted and let Turtle modify it to what would work best as a tattoo. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and enjoyed the whole experience.

Which honestly I think is a little impossible to describe through words. I came to brisbane tattoo expecting some incredible artwork and I got more than I was ever expecting. Turtle and Emmy are both incredible artists, the time, effort, passion, pride and sacrifice they have put into their business and work is so rare and special. It was unfortunate that I was unable to meet Emma but I got to see her work and the incredible person that she is and how she represents that through her art. I was fortunate enough to take some of her work home with me and I can not wait to frame and hang her paintings in my home. It was my absolute pleasure to be in the presence of Turtle let alone be tattood by him. He has done everything to let us feel at home, from the very first moment. We can´t be happier with our tattoos, they are exactly what we were looking for. Fantastic experience: Very happy with my experience at Brisbane tattoo. After finding the details of the shop online I emailed Turtle with a basic idea of what I was looking for I was very impressed with how responsive/quick he was to get back to me and we made a time to go in and that weekend to have a better chat about what I was after. Turtle was very welcoming when I got there and we had a great chat about the design I was after he was completely honest with me about what would work and what wouldn't work with what I had in mind and his excitement about what I was looking for made me more open to suggestions for the piece. After leaving the shop turtle continued to have amazing correspondence through email replying generally within minutes to anything sent through and he had the first part of my sleeve design (which I loved the idea he came up with) drawn up the very next day so we booked it in for that weekend. Come to the day of tattooing I arrived at the shop and Turtle was all organised ready to go so we got straight into it. We spent 5 and 1/2 hours working on my sleeve and the whole time I didn't feel uncomfortable at all he was very open and I found it really easy to talk to him instead of sitting there not talking like I have in previous tattoo shops I have been too. Overall I would definitely recommend turtle to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about the work they do and who takes extreme pride in the art he is presenting. I can easily say that in all the tattoo shops I have had work done in over the last 15 years Brisbane tattoo by far is the most professional and welcoming and do not mind at all driving the 2hrs i have to there because of the high quality service I receved is well worth it. I cant wait to get the rest of my sleeve drawn up and done there. Thanks again turtle for your awesome work....

Fantastic experience: Had my first piece done with turtle after finding endless great reviews about his work. I sent him the artwork and after he was finished, my Torres Strait piece was so much better than what I thought it could be! Great service, very helpful and answers any questions you have even after the job was done. Genuinely cares about his clients and his work, Turtle is the man! Definitely looking forward to getting back there to have more work done!

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a puppet this is not the shop for you. This shop actually cares about what you are getting done and if he doesn’t like it he will tell you why. Best experience I have had from a tattooist. Highly recommend. Clean, prompt, professional and great ink work. Will be only going here from now on.

Fantastic experience: Super happy with this place, not only was the tattoo amazing turtle the artist really took pride in making sure it was the best it could be. It was exactly as I wanted it and he really made my first experience a memorable one. The after care guide they give is detailed and very helpful and saying that they will ask any questions no matter how silly really shows that they care about how everyone tattoos turn out.
