Negative experience: Loved the conversation the atmosphere and the artwork BUT my father came in just for a name on his arm...the artist Sean talked for an hour and a half before we even started and proceeded to talk our ears of for another 2 1/2 hours with some tattooing in between 15-20 minute rants. Then at the end charged him 200 an hour for 2 1/2 hours of talking 30 min of prep and 1 hour of work. I expected him to adjust the price due to the Obvious abundance of his ranting and storytelling but no he was definitely firm. Great artwork but will not return unless there is an agreement. Because 800 dollars for an hour of work is outrageous especially for just a name in black on a forearm. 3 out of 10 experience moneywise.

Fantastic experience: Me and my husband and my son went here for my son's first tattoo and 18th birthday. First of all we went during Shadows toys for tats promotion and got awesome deals and got to contribute to an amazing cause! Second it was clean and even though we didn't get to get our tattoos from the GOAT himself (that's the dream) we all got really good work done by very professional, nice guys that made my son feel comfortable and didn't rush us when doing our designs or placement. I recommend this shop to anyone that is thinking about getting a tattoo and asks me where to go. Shadow is an awesome guy If you get lucky enough to get an appointment with him. He does great things for our community, is it amazing artist, and is all around just a really cool guy. If you're looking to get work or piercings done this is where you need to go.

Fantastic experience: Went this week to get matching mother and daughter tattoos. We had met with Sean before because my daughter is 16. He’s super professional and you can tell he cares deeply for the art that is going to be with you forever. He explained the process to her very thoroughly, even made her laugh a few times. I was instantly comfortable. He was very clear about what will and will not happen. The day of he again went over the process and what he expects. The same care and respect he put into her tattoo he did mine as well. The shop itself is clean and feels safe. The energy is wonderful. Overall, if you’re considering getting a tattoo for your teenager or with them, InkFam is the place to go. Even an overprotective mom like me knew my daughter was in great hands and it was done with the greatest sense of professionalism. Thank you again Sean!

Fantastic experience: First of all, I’d like to thank Shadow for the unforgettable experience of getting my first tattoo. 2 years ago I decided I wanted a henna inspired piece and a friend of mine had recommended Shadow. I looked into his work and right off the bat knew, I wanted him to be the artist for my piece. I had a consultation and was able to get the process started. Leading up to my tattoo appointment, I got to know a little more about Shadow and got to appreciate what he does for the community. This made me feel more comfortable, as he is a very transparent and laid back person. The day of my appointment arrived and he brought in this amazing energy that helped me prepare and feel comfortable. We designed the tattoo together based on 3 ideas and he made it fit perfectly. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and able to get through my tattoo session. He executed my vision. I truly recommend you entrust him with your visions. He is a true artist and you will not leave disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Started my sleeve with Sean yesterday so far it's been an amazing experience.. he does a great consultation sits down talks to you tells you what to expect and where we go from here and the  rough amount of sessions you'll need. My First session was 10 hours straight,  breaks drinks food when needed if needed. I haven't let somebody touch my skin in 10 years and have been looking for a new artist for a while. Really glad I stumbled into the shop. Sean really cares about his work and really cares about what you're getting for your money . The shop is very clean very professional and honest!  Everyone there seem to be great people. I found my new tattoo fam new loyal customer!   I would highly recommend the shop to anybody on the fence it'll be worth your time!

Fantastic experience: Monique took my dermal out after another shop couldn’t and said it needed surgical removed. The lady at the other shop just didn’t know what she was doing but when I tell you Monique took it out in less then 5 minutes and it didn’t even hurt one bit and no scarring!! I’m truly thankful for her ♥️

Fantastic experience: I went there for piercing as a walk in. Fyi, if ur a minor, you need your birth certificate and a parent’s driver’s license. Monique was very sweet. She did my piecing super well, helped me with a keloid, and gave me great after-care tips. She’s very knowledgeable.

Negative experience: I love the work and it seems like a great place for some customers. My ex has been getting the run around for the past two months and can't even get a conversation with someone to book. Good people with absolutely terrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: Really well run shop with world-class artists. The owner and his crew are also heavily involved in the community. This is truly a family and beginners and covered customers alike will both have excellent experiences. Don't forget they do the highest quality piecings; even for the little kids (parent and birth certificate needed obviously) which is better than those mall places with the guns.

Fantastic experience: I got 2 of my tattoos redone by Sean here a while back, and everyone in the building was amazing and really nice!! Sean was super easy to talk to during the whole tattoo process, and he was super helpful with all the aftercare questions I had. Fantastic experience: I absolutely adore this place! I love the piercer she is the sweetest person and very understanding and very patient! She’s also a nurse and honest about if your anatomy is correct to do it and will tell you if it might reject, honesty is key to having a good clientele. The tattoo artist there is honestly the best tattooer hands down. Has amazing work and very professional! Hes very honesty with you and I appreciate that more than anything!

Negative experience: I would LOVE to be able to SAY work done there, but I've gone twice and get NOTHING but a run around. A year ago, I walked in, showed what I wanted, and was given a business card to text the artist, so she could set the appointment. I text the artist that day, and recieved a text back, telling me she no longer works there. A month and a half ago, I went in asking about a tattoo, and they took my number so the artist could text me. I've not heard a damn thing.

Fantastic experience: I had a bad experience at with a tattooist but wanted to find someone who could understand what I was wanting. This erson would need to finish work the bad tattooist had not completed. I went to Ink Fam, spoke to Sean, who made a very good first impression. He managed to squeeze me in the following evening. I had so much fun, laughing, joking and cutting up with everyone there. When Sean showed me how he'd fixed my infinity symbol,vehicle has deep personal meaning to me, I got a little emotional. It was exactly what I wanted....a tribute to the man I lost last year. Thank you, Sean. Can't wait til December when you Ink me with y beloved "bird on a bat".

Fantastic experience: Woke up wanting to get my nose and nipples pierced again! Called ink fam and spoke with Sean! He was very funny and welcoming! He assisted me and when I walked in he greeted me with the upmost respect and compliments! Loved the atmosphere! Moe did my piercings, and I loved them so freaking much! She removed a keloid from a previous piercing and y’all she knows the body anatomy very well! I told them they are STUCK WITH ME.

Fantastic experience: I went here for a piercing, and their shop is super cool! Nice comfy waiting area that makes you feel at home, tons of jewelry to choose from and friendly, experienced staff. The girl that did my piercing was very informative and helpful and I definitely plan on going back if I get another piercing or a tattoo.

Negative experience: Loved this place love shadowink and the family feel they bring to the place but after a yr of working with sean on a sleeve and 7000$ spent it is only half finished. Sean quit responding to my messages when I brought up the fact I was quoted $7000 range for the finished piece. I asked him how many more sessions or time it would take to finish and he could not give me a straight answer. They are great artist but I feel after I laid down 7000$ just for a half a sleeve they would be respectful of my concerns instead of going awol and leaving me with an unfinished piece. A peice I started to hide self harm scars so it was a very important piece for me or I would not have invested so much time into it. I've reached out to multiple ppl in the shop and have not received a response in months.. I would be very greatful to hear back from Sean or shadow on making a plan to finish my sleeve. I'm not looking for a free tat but no one just hands out money without an end game planned out the end game we had planned did not work out the way he had hoped or explained to me. Last message I got from sean said to let him know when I was ready for a new session I instantly replied that i was ready but never got a response back. Not professional at all as soon as I showed concern and wouldn't let him brush me off with a hand held out for money, he went awol and I haven't heard anything. I've also reached out to shadow and told him the issue and asked if he would consider finishing the sleeve sean started I got met with silence. All I ask is for respect and my concerns to be acknowledged.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time getting pierced by Monique. The staff was friendly and very flexible. There was 5 of us girls getting multiple piercings all together and Monique was amazing and patient. I would definitely go back.

Fantastic experience: I had my lip and my nose pierced by Mo and she was awesome . I was originally nervous and kept changing my mind but she didn't care at all and actually gave me very useful information for how much it would hurt and how to take care of it as well . She also talked me through the whole thing and it felt like it was over before it even started . 10/10 experience and I'm definitely going there again . Also the employees were so kind

Joshua Tennison is professional, caring, and a top of the line artist and in my opinion, one of the best tattoo artists in Indiana! Fantastic experience: Mo and the staff of InkFam have ALWAYS been awesome to me. I first encountered them when I wanted a nose piercing after 8PM on a random Wednesday night. They were the only shop that was open and willing to do the piercing. That is when I met Mo. From Day 1 Mo has always been the bomb and so very helpful. Not only did she pierce my nose, but she also gave great aftercare instructions and always made herself available if I had trouble changing a piercing. A few weeks ago I had issues changing my nose ring and at that time Mo properly educated me on the type of ring I needed to be purchasing as some are shorter than others. At that time I was fussing about my eyebrows and she let me know that she did those too. She explained the cost as well as the process and we made my appointment that day. I CANNOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE RESULTS! She was very precise with ensuring that I was comfortable, that I knew what she was doing every step of the way, and that I was happy with the color as well as understood proper aftercare instructions for my new eyebrows. I highly recommend Mo and the entire InkFam crew! Thank You!!!

Fantastic experience: My experience started a 5 days before my tattoo was completed by Sean K. I was greeted and listened to very kindly and respectfully. He looked at my reference and instantly told me he loved the concept of the art and went into deep detail of his idea of what he wants to do. He gave me all of the information of what to expect day of session if I wanted. We decided to schedule! Upon entering the building today for tattoo day, I was greeted with smiles and great energy. Everything was very clean and organized. Sean explained what I was to expect for the day and he got to drawing. His energy an confidence was awesome! And his artwork is even more incredible! The stenciling he did was perfect and he didn't have to apply more than once. When we started the session, he made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed close by. When he began, he counted down and I immediately could tell he had nice light hand. I didn't have any discomfort that I couldn't handle the entire time. He offered breaks and drinks. He explained alot as the session went on. I loved the conversations we had. Sean was always very professional. At the end he went into amazing detail which made the piece of art come more alive. I am beyond satisfied with my experience and I'm in love with my new beautiful art piece he has given me. 10/10 highly and completely recommend Sean K especially but any of the Ink Fam! I couldn't sit as well as I needed to complete it, so he also fit me in a month later (even though he is booked solid) to add a very important detail that I needed. He made it work for everyone and I am so grateful. Shawdowink's talent and passion of tattooing is next to none. He takes just as much pride in the work he does as he puts into the healing process and future of the work he does. One of the very best, for sure! Negative experience: "Beware" trickery on pricing "Save yourself a headache" way over priced for tattoos My tattoo ended up looking like a six-year-old drew it, I am so sick, Now I have to find someone else fix it , This place is ripping people off! and S Has no talent Save yourself some trouble don't go here! There's a lot better talent at a way better price at other places, It's not worth it.

Fantastic experience: When I had got to inkfam I had talked to Shadow about what kind of a tattoo I was wanting and what I wanted to have all done with it and know that he was down with my idea and it also felt good to get a second opinion from a talented artist such as himself and he was very nice and knowledgeable! While getting this done it had gotten even better when I had gotten to meet a celebrity at the shop too!!! I absolutely can’t wait to come back to get the rest of this piece done and to see it all come through when it’s completed. Fantastic experience: As soon as myself, my daughter, and my sister walked in the door. It was welcoming VIBE. We all went so my sister and daughter could get pierced I was there just for moral support. We were greeted by Shawn who made us feel super comfortable. He was very down to earth. Then we met Jennifer who was the piercer. She was a sweetheart and a bad a** at the same time. She was Very knowledgeable in what they wanted, the space was very clean. (I’m very particular about sterilization and clean spaces) So it was a “GO” for me. My daughter was getting a nose piercing and my sister was getting a septum piercing. Shawn was asking if I was getting one too. I said no, I have enough. Long story short, Shawn seen an opportunity for this to be a memorable family affair, so he paid for my piercing. Jennifer was very gentle and quick. She gave us all the knowledge we needed to care for our piercings. We all talked and laughed. Felt like I knew them for ages. We will definitely be back. Fantastic experience: 5 years of thinking about my first tattoo... mostly waiting to find the right artist and let me just say... I definitely found the right one. Honestly, Indy's BEST. I had a few ideas in mind for my very first tattoo but after seeing Shadow's work and truly amazing creativity, I gave him artistic freedom on my very large thigh/hip/side piece. I trust him, his skills and his artistic vision, without a doubt. 100%. That's a really big deal for a piece of art that will be on your body forever. He's THAT GOOD. As nervous as I was for my very first tattoo, Shadow went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. His passion and positivity are contagious. I'm beyond happy with my piece so far and can't wait for the next session. Each session is even better than the last. I'll never go anywhere else. All of those years searching for the right artist... it was time well spent to find Shadow and Inkfam. As I mentioned, I've spent quite a bit of time at the shop for my piece and I've only seen amazing work from everyone (Sean is also a phenomenal artist and Jennifer for piercings). Really you can't go wrong if you're going to Inkfam! Great team and great people. 5 stars, absolutely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had a few random small tattoos and I was really wanting to incorporate into starting a sleeve last summer. I had a consultation with Shadow and then started one arm. I was so impressed with his work I decided to go back and start the other arm. I just was in yesterday for a hip piece. I would recommend Shadow to anyone for his tattoo abilities you will not be disappointed. This is a lifetime commitment and you want it to be phenomenal and he will do just that!

Fantastic experience: I had some previous work done that I wasn't to happy with that was older. I reached out to Shadow and asked for help. I wanted one piece to be touched up and another area covered. I had been looking at ideas online but was not absolutely sure what I was going to get until my appointment. I gave shadow all my ideas and told him I trusted him and gave him the freedom to do his thing. I could not be happier. I love my new ink....❤❤❤❤❤

Negative experience: I had to edit this review. I have never used second skin but for this tattoo it was recommended. Come to find out my skin didn’t like it so my tattoo has looked faded since it healed. I’ve reached about this but never got a response. Sucks because it would’ve looked great. Now I’m searching for someone to help get it back to how it should be.

Negative experience: Unless you want to get a large tattoo they don’t want to deal with you. I tried to speak to someone about getting a small tattoo repeatedly with no response very very disappointed in this. My son has been there had a very a nice large piece done all I want is a simple small tattoo on my wrist but apparently that is not good enough or expensive enough for them to do.

Fantastic experience: It’s been a long time coming to get our unit’s tattoo. We could not be more happier with the results! The time spent with Sean K while he performed his artistic skill was amazing from the start. It was like we were just hanging out in the shop the whole time. Sean k is very passionate about his work. The staff here is very friendly and personable. The other artist (DK) was very interested in our work and gave valuable input. There is no other shop I recommend than INKFAM.

Fantastic experience: Got a half sleeve done by Shadow last night! Words cannot express how much a positive environment in a tattoo shop means to me. I loved EVERYTHING about it from start to finish. The atmosphere is dope. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. The quality speaks for itself. He’s light handed so if you have a big piece, LOOK NO FURTHER! Top 2 and he ain’t number 2!!

Fantastic experience: WOW! Where do I even start!?!?! Getting your first tattoo can be exciting, scary and liberating all at the same time. When you start your tattoo journey and have no clue of what to expect working with a tattoo artist it can be scary. You have no clue if who you are working with is "the norm". I went to another tattoo shop searching for a shoulder piece and was really disappointed with my entire process. I had very little communication, was told that he wasn't going to do what I wanted but would do something close with he creative flare and what I ended up with had NO FLOW with the curvature of my arm. After meeting shadow I WAS BLOWN away at his professionalism, passion for art, the A to Z explanations of the entire process and the transformation thus far. You will not be disappointed if you can get in with shadow! He is in such high demand that it is hella hard to get in with him so if you can set an appointment.... DO IT!!! I saw 3 of the other artists while I was in there for 10 hours getting my tattoo and I was REALLY impressed with all of them. One of the guys did a realistic portrait, another did a full back piece of angel wings and the lady artist did an epic body piece that flowed really well with the girls body. GO check them out!

From the carefully planned design, to the tattoo process and aftercare instructions, everything was excellent. Shadow was very thorough, detail-oriented, and professional. Fantastic experience: Just got a tattoo coverup done by Sean. I love how clean the shop is, the environment is so friendly and calming. Not only are there good artists there but they care about the community and giving back. They are having a toys for tats drive, where you bring in art supplies and get money off your tattoo. I love how they want to give to children that won't be getting Christmas. It's nice that they are encouraging children not to give up on their dreams, even if they aren't in a traditional place for Christmas. That speaks volumes to me on what kind of people work and run this tattoo shop. They are breaking down tattoo shop stereotypes everyday, and I'll never go anywhere else for a tattoo now. This shop is like family now.

Fantastic experience: Sean is FANTASTIC! I asked for a tattoo to memorialize my dog, I thought his paw print or silhouette. But Sean made a custom design that blew my mind. I am moved by how much care and passion he put into the design. The detail he was able to work into my little dogs face is stunning. I had a great evening conversing with him while he worked on my tattoo, it turns out we have a lot in common and we both have a passion for art.
