Positive experience: My boyfriend and I went to this shop yesterday to get tattoos. The service was nice; we were walk-ins so it took some time for us to actually get started, but the service was great! Zipper did both of our tattoos and they both look awesome! I didn't give 5 stars just because the shop wasn't the most put together it seemed. No dirt or grime, just not really tidy with just stuff lying around. Other than that it wasn't bad! Will definitely be coming back if I need another tattoo.

Fantastic experience: AJ was my piercer and kindly gave me a helix and daith piercing. She also followed up with me on the piercing to make sure all okay. Overall good service :) Update: Turns out my daith was pierced too deep and had to go through a 6mo healing process. I was eventually able to get it re pierced by someone else!

Positive experience: I had a great experience, did my whole sleeve in one session and it was entertaining the whole time..The only reason is 4 and not 5 is because I need some touch ⬆️ on some spots on my tattoo but other than that I’m loving my new tatt

Fantastic experience: 08/20/2024 Expected the worst but had an amazing visit as well as the piercing itself was not high priced I will be back for more! 09/26:2024 Update: my navel piercing is doing super well. No scaring of my tissue or any blood or signs of infection!!! No pain or discomfort whatsoever. 5 more months to go until it fully heals thanks again animation art studio.

Negative experience: I just really want to get a tattoo Bron a Black owned shop! Just supporting my people! Walked in and got tossed with the first random artist, and the artist wasn’t even Black! Lmao. Paid a hundred dollars deposit, the artist didn’t communicate with me on the drawing until 2 days prior to my appointment, after no communication for a month! Basically Zipper got to keep my $100 deposit because I didn’t feel comfortable getting the tattoo after all the lack of communication! Enjoy that free $100 bucks!

Fantastic experience: Got my nostril and 2d ear piercings here and from the jump I was convinced I found my Indy tattoo & piercing home. Nova was great helping me schedule my appointment and doing the intake. I could tell she cared about me as a customer and was the complete opposite of some people I've dealt with where they don't make eye contact or act like you're bothering them while they focus on their phone. AJ did a fantastic job on my piercings. She was personable, professional, and very knowledgeable! She told me what she was going to do, then walked through steps to complete the piercing. She made sure my piercings were perfectly placed by taking into account things I didn't consider. The actual piercing was so smooth and gentle i honestly barely felt my ear being done! She made sure I understood the aftercare and encouraged me to call if I had any questions or concerns. Overall, I don't think I could've had a better piercing experience.

Fantastic experience: Yoshi did a piece for my boyfriend and I and I was really grateful for the care and dedication he showed for his craft. He was accommodating and beyond generous with his time. This studio is a beautiful and compassionate creative space with amazing artists.

But once I walked out of there at 5AM THE NEXT MORNING I wasn’t anymoreone thing about Amani he definitely will make you feel comfortable and welcoming❤️I’ll definitely be back for more‼️He gave me more than what I asked for and for that I’m very appreciative. Negative experience: A friend and I went in to get two piercings (a nose and a rook) and get jewelry for two other piercings. It took a total of an hour and a half. I wouldn’t be annoyed about the excessive time if it weren’t for the fact that the owner came in as the piercer was gloved up and literally about to pierce my friend’s nose w the taper and needle in hand, when he thrusts his recording phone into her face saying “ what would you do if you were a man, would you hit yourself up as you are right now?” Not only was it extremely unprofessional, but also made both of us feel extremely uncomfortable as we’re both trans. They then proceeded to talk about this for the next 10 minutes while other employees came into the room we were getting pierced in. I understand having a good atmosphere but maybe get back to some good ol fashion customer service. Secondly they would not pierce without paying up front for jewelry and no matter what piercing it’s $50. Even as I added a jewelry item, she made me pay before she installed it which I’ve not encountered in other piercing/ tattoo shops. It’s usually paid at the end. They are good w skills but not really with making people feel welcomed.

Fantastic experience: Amazing!!! I told AJ I was nervous and she kept my anxiety down and helped me through the whole process. Definitely recommend AJ 100%. The piercing was was quick and painless. And on top of all that they have an amazing staff and atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: AJ was my piercer for my Ashley piercing and she did an excellent job. She was very patient with me and it was not painful at all. Although two days later my srew came out she was able to put it back in for me! The healing process is going very well, and I couldn’t be even more happier. Thank you again.

Negative experience: Went in to get a hoop for my nose that had fallen out the day before, and my partner had wanted to get their septum redone and nose piercing. Their nose piercing had went fine but their septum was done way too low and went in crooked (even when they told them that they wanted to make sure it wasn't too low) . After doing their septum the piercer claimed that they flinched before we had even said anything about the piercing. The pain was unbearable for them and we needed to remove it almost immediately. When I had went to get the jewelry they claimed my nose had probably closed up and tried to shove a 16 through my 20 piercing and almost made me passed out. I do not recommend going here. They did not listen to our requests and concerns and felt as if the customer was not held at the forefront of the service.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience with Animation Art Studio. I called at 5pm to see if I could get a really small tattoo. They had an opening. I am from out of state. I am visiting for a wedding. I wanted to get a tattoo and a person recommended this studio. I had Zipper as the artist. He drew up what I wanted for this tattoo. He had great ideas as well. I would 100% recommend going to him again. Might have to fly all the way to Indianapolis for my next tattoo. This was my first ever tattoo and Zipper was really helpful talking me through the process. Again, an amazing place!

Fantastic experience: I went to 4 different shops trying to get someone to help me get out jewelry that was too short in my nostril. Finally I called this shop and asked if I could get help as it was day 2 of having this jewelry in my nose and it was so swollen. X was able to get the jewelry out and put a longer one in. I can’t thank them enough. Will definitely be back when I’m ready for more piercings!
