From the first consultation, he took the time to listen to my ideas, walk me through design considerations, and explain how placement and perspective would affect the final look. His creativity and attention to detail really brought my concept to life, and the end result was even better than I imagined. The shop is welcoming and inclusive — I felt comfortable right away. Angel’s professionalism and skill made the process smooth, and when I started feeling light-headed early on, he immediately made sure I was comfortable so I could keep going. We finished the tattoo in one session, and I couldn’t be happier. What really impressed me was what happened after I left: Angel realized I had accidentally overpaid him with the cash I'd left, so he called to let me know right away. That kind of honesty is rare and really says a lot about a person’s character. It restored a little of my faith in humanity and made me even more confident I’d chosen the right shop. Fantastic experience: Alli did a great job of figuring out the design that I wanted. She fixed a tattoo that was started by another artist and it was so on point with what I envisioned. She also started another tattoo for me that is a combination of photos. She was so good at figuring out what I had in mind and creating a tattoo that fit me perfectly. I am looking forward to finishing this one and the working with her on the rest of my sleeve.

Fantastic experience: After moving from out of state, I did a lot of research on American traditional tattoo artist in Utah. So happy I stumbled across Ashley Love and Only Forever Tattoo, she is amazingly talented. Just look at her work. She has done a few pieces for me now, and I plan on many more. Scheduling is super easy, they communicate really well and I’ve always felt welcome. I only have American traditional, but the shop seems to have everything and everyone in there. Ashley has the awesome light touch and her work is incredible. Highly recommended Only Forever Tattoo and Ashley Love.

Fantastic experience: Ok so this is more a of an Artist review however the shop was fantastic. Super clean, quiet, tons of really cool art all over the place. And I had a fantastic view from the chair. Now, my man Matthew Miskol… I saw him before he was at Only forever for a custom job and he did so good I came back for another specific idea. And he nailed it! His attention to detail is amazing, and he’s great at not making you feel like an asshole if you have a different opinion. He’s my only go to and recommend him highly!

Called the shop and they were able to get us in that same day. Alli Fillmore Is the artist that helped us out. She did great work drawing up our ideas and putting ink to our skins. Amazing artist. Great place. Nice customer service. Very welcoming. Would recommend this tattoo shop to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Wow. Blown away at the piece that Matt at Only Forever Tattoo did for me. This piece was a very delicate piece as it was dedicated and in honor of my late mother who passed away from cancer this year. He is truly talented at what he does. He was very meticulous with the confirming detail/design before and during tattooing. He even checked in time to time to ensure the details and colors was going as planned. The piece ended up being the absolute most beautiful tattoo. It was the most comfortable tattoo appointment where it was insanely clean and sanitary. Peaceful and calm environment. Super welcoming. Looking forward to having Matt design and tattoo my next. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I got my first ever American Traditional tattoo after wanting the style for over 15 years and got the CUTEST designs by Saul!! His work is so beautiful and impressive. I ended up going back for a second tattoo from Saul 5 days later lol if that doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what will. He was so patient and is so talented. The shop itself is so cute and welcoming; it sits right on the corner of the building with views of the entire 800s/300 west block making it one of the cutest views in the area. (RIP to the fleet block murals) The playlist every time I have been in the shop has been impressive; filled with music from all different cultures and backgrounds. My favorite mix went from Celia Cruz to Cumbia’s to a Chicano rap - I took down many song names to add to my own personal playlists. The waiting area is filled with many examples of work from all the artists and really helps with inspiration if you’re not too sure what you’re wanting quite yet. I can’t wait to return do yourself a favor and get your next tattoo here!!

Negative experience: In my opinion, I do not recommend this business. *Edit* It took 7 months for me to build up enough courage to edit this review and share my experience. I’m pretty conflicted because one of my favorite tattoos are from Only Forever, but my second experience was incredibly traumatic and has left me with a 2300 bill for tattoo removal and a pretty bad experience (in my opinion). Both tattoos from the same artist. Unfortunately, I received a tattoo that was not what I agreed upon at all. To make matters worse, the artist held onto the front of my throat while tattooing me, despite me asking him to stop. The tattoo was on the back of my neck and did not require him to put his hand where it was. So not only was the actual experience poor, but it was a tattoo that I didn’t agree on and it was 2 sizes larger than what it was supposed to be. It was different than the stencil I consented to. Within 3 days I had my first appointment for tattoo removal and had paid 2300 dollars. This experience was an actual nightmare for me. I wasn’t going to share my experience until I recently was in the waiting room for tattoo removal (my 5th session) and was speaking to another woman. She was there due to a tattoo from the same shop (we did not disclose if it was the same artist or when each of us received our tattoos). Overall, if you decide to go here, I hope you get the first experience I had which was an amazing tattoo of my dog that is incredibly spot on. I hope you don’t receive the other experience that ends up in 2300 dollars for tattoo removal and several therapy sessions. ****all of the above is to educate others on my experience. It is not my intention to bash any specific artist or tattoo shop. Everyone makes mistakes because we are all human. I personally feel that responsibility for those mistakes were not handled appropriately when brought to management’s attention. As stated above, I have had two experiences at this shop which were vastly different from each other. However readers wish to take that is up to them. The things that brought me to this shop included: woman owned and LGBTQIA+ friendly. ****

Fantastic experience: I’ve gotten 3 tattoos here and I am in love them all! Ashley has been my artist and she is so patient and SO TALENTED. I love her work! Her lines are crisp and perfect and the shading is seriously *chefs kiss*. I just love love LOVE this place. The shop itself is so cute and welcoming, all of the artists and staff have been kind when interacting with me, and it’s super easy to find. Negative experience: I came here yesterday with my mom for her birthday tattoo (a coverup rose). The shop is super cute, felt good vibes. We sit down with her artist and answer all the questions. During the outline process, my mom is asking some questions and the artist steps back “Dude I’ve been tattooing for 20 years” okay?? No one is questioning your skills buddy, she is simply asking about your method because all of her previous tattoos have never been done this way. I’ve always believed if you have an attitude with your client asking questions about something that is to be on their body FOREVER, you are not a good artist and you do not care. Anyway, halfway through the tattoo, they ask how my mom is liking it. At this point, my mom seems unsure because she cannot see if this tattoo is gonna look like a rose. I understand why this would be stressful for the artist considering they’ve already started. However, my mom didn’t indicate she was upset, just wanted clarification. Eventually they’re able to come to a middle ground, and the artist continues albeit huffing and puffing clearly annoyed. The space feels tense now. “I’ve never been in this situation before” Your previous clients haven’t asked questions yet you’ve been in this profession for 20 years? Okay. The tattoo is finished and it looks beautiful. We leave happy. Normally, I never bother writing reviews for businesses, but this experience just really irked me. Nobody is at fault here and that’s why I’ve left the artist’s name out. I just do not appreciate attitude and I hope you are nicer/patient with your future clients!

Fantastic experience: I have 11 tattoos and out of those 11 Alyssa Broadhead had done 10 of them….the one she didn’t do was by Ashley Love at this location. Both artists are amazing and so talented. The tattoos pictured are all from Alyssa. I first started working with Alyssa when she was at her first tattoo shop and now that she’s at her new shop I am following right behind her as she is one of the only tattoo artists I trust to do my tattoos. Not only have I gotten tattooed by her but also my sister in law has a few pieces from Alyssa and my mom just got her first one done by Alyssa and they both also loved her and her work. When it comes to communication I couldn’t ask for anything better. Alyssa is very upfront and honest about everything. She cares about the work she does and the clients she works with. I am very indecisive and picky but each appointment if I have a problem, question or concern I am never afraid to let Alyssa know as she knows just how important tattoos are and she wants you to be 1000% happy and in love with it. She not only cares about the tattoo in this moment but she considers how it will age and talks you through that. Full transparency in pricing and placement and long term investment for the tattoo and that made the professionalism enough for me to come back. Love that I wasn't treated I live over 2 hours south of this shop and I'm so excited to come back for my next tattoo in August and hopefully a lot more after that! Fantastic experience: Super nice and welcoming environment. Some shops can be intimidating but Only Forever Tattoo was not like that at all. Carlos was my artist and he was super acomidating for my comfort.

Fantastic experience: My friend and I came in as walk-ins and were greeted with a friendly and accommodating receptionist. She was able to get us in the same day with Ashley. My friend and I were very impressed with Ashley’s skill and patience, as the tattoo we wanted was pretty silly, but sentimental. Ashley has great line work skills and did a wonderful job. She even made time for us the next day for another tattoo each! We will definitely be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Update (2 months later): I have since gotten a couple more tattoos with Carlos and they have come out perfect. I have added a very detailed, fine line Celtic Trinity band, another wrist tattoo (Ohm) , an eye ring tattoo (my wife and I both got them to replace our wedding rings) and my wife's and kids' names in a very nice font on my chest (still healing so don't want to share pic yet). But it came out amazing and I am very pleased with it. Carlos has been a great artist to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of getting a tattoo. Both Carlos and OnlyForever have made this experiencing/journey of tattooing a great one and I am enjoying this process so much. I’ve always wanted a tattoo and never pulled the trigger until now. My wife and I got matching tattoos with Eli, who is an apprentice but has some definite skill, and we were very pleased with how they came out. She was super friendly and did a great job. My second tattoo happened just the next day with Carlos. It was kind of spur of the moment. I was there for a consult with him for a band I wanted to do but had the idea for something small on my wrist of my wife’s zodiac sign combined with mine. Asked if he had time and he said sure thing. Needless to say it came out amazing. Carlos was super friendly as well and his skill is top notch. I’m definitely planning more with both Eli and Carlos. If you’re looking for a good tattoo shop, Only Forever is definitely your place. Great artists, great atmosphere and is very welcoming. For a newbie I wasn’t treated in any weird way. In fact, I felt like they cared for me and my experience to be the best and it was. Thank you Only Forever and all the staff.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I recently got tattoos at Only Forever Tattoo. We were just walking customers, well not exactly, we called ahead and asked if they could squeeze us in and then drove over. The receptionist and the artist were so accommodating and very nice. The tattoos were very simple and we ended up staying past they're closing time. The artist was such a sweet person, professional and caring. It's been 40 plus years since I had a tattoo and if I choose to get another tattoo I would certainly go back here! Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience: Such a welcoming and clean studio, upon walking in you instantly feel comfortable. Everyone there is very nice as well and wants to help in anyway they can. I got a flower piece done by Becky and not only do I already plan on going back to get another by her but she was already giving ideas on what she could do for my next tattoo which was amazing. I would 100% recommend anyone to go here and you’ll leave very satisfied!

Fantastic experience: I had a short-term appointment with an artist but in the end decided not to get the tattoo because after discussing the size with the artist it wouldn’t have been what I hoped for (which was my fault, I was told before that it probably wouldn’t work as small as I‘d liked) Both the artist and the manager were incredibly kind and professional about it and I got my deposit back which I really appreciated. I would 100% recommend this place and would love to come back for another design!
