Fantastic experience: Tattooed by Melissa last week, awesome experience. She took my concept and created an absolutely beautiful design. Her work is clean and she was very professional, thoughtful, and accommodating. I was comfortable the whole time and I can’t wait to go back for color next month. Can’t recommend her enough!!

Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars, I would. Not only is Jake's talent absurdly high tier, he is such a kind and easy-going person! My recent project has been multiple sessions and in very exposed areas. That I trust and feel comfortable around him enough to look forward to these sessions? Priceless. So long as I have skin real estate and ideas to place on it, I'm going to Jake and Raventhorn.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome, Jake specfically is an amazing tattoo artisit that really wants to help and understand your vision for creating the tattoo you want, he will work with you and help you craft your desired tattoo. Highly recommed.

Fantastic experience: Luz from Raventhorn Manor Tattoo is the bestt tattoo artist if you’re looking for a very skillful person that specializes in fine line art and color! I decided to go for a Yin yang fish reference. She delivered exactly what and how I wanted, two beautiful flowy fishes with the little stars and moon details yet very minimalistic. The stencil outline may look a little thick at first but the result was just breath taking and she is an expert in this field so I 100% trust her ❤️ The appointment was for 3 hours but she finished within 2 with no pain at all.

Fantastic experience: Accommodating, clean and professional. I’m an older conservative guy with no tattoo experience and they made feel comfortable and gave me a great tattoo; exactly what I was looking for. Fabio was my artist and he was great; very concerned to give me exactly what I wanted.

Fantastic experience: Kendra from SLC Ink Tattoo is a fantastic artist. The attention to detail and the precision of the fine lines in the tattoo I got from her are impeccable. She really knows her craft. The love she has for her art is evident in the finished product. The tattoo design was mine, but with a few minor adjustments to the size, so the details in the tattoo would be clear and sharp, it came out superb. I will definitely return in the future for more tattoos.

Negative experience: Honestly the worst tattoo experience I've ever had. Got to the appointment about 15 minutes early and ended up waiting an hour and a half after scheduled time to be brought back. There were communication issues and the artist got frustrated because she couldn't really understand what we wanted. The artist then would disappear multiple times without saying a single word. No communications whatsoever, just left the room. Her next clients had come before she started my tattoo by that point and it felt extremely rushed (maybe 20 minutes total that it actually took). I have missing lines in my tattoo but won't bother coming back to get it touched up. Overall, it took nearly 4 hours for a tattoo that only took 20 minutes to do. Extremely disappointed with both the service and the tattoo itself.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this place since I got my first tattoo here & I've been picking on them ever since XD They are so nice & kind. I highly do recommend this place to anyone who wants their first Tattoo. I am very pleased & happy with mines. (:

Both are really clean and Jake has been great with everything in the years I've been working with him on all my tattoos. All of my work was a collaboration with him in the design and I love all of them! He's a really talented artist, respectful and collaborative. Definitely check him out!

Fantastic experience: Rafael (@iamrafaelart on instagram) was tremendous. An absolute skilled artist, with a light hand doing the best fine line work. Couldn't be any happier with our tattoos. He even went as far as to change the direction of the eye lashes for my wifes tattoo to make sure the positioning looked correct.

Fantastic experience: This was my second experience getting a tattoo here by Miranda and it will not be my last! The environment is calm and friendly and clean. My design was done in under the time scheduled for and looks amazing! Very happy with this place and Miranda’s work!

Negative experience: If I could give this a 0, I would!!! Made the appointment for me and my daughter and they closed early (I guess) cause our appointment was for 5:30 and 6:30 and they were suppose to be open till 8:00. We came from Herriman for this, so after a hour drive to a closed up business with no one answering their phones Our experience was very crappy. Would Never refer them!

Fantastic experience: Melissa was absolutely incredible. Commissioned an original design for me in just a few days, got to work on me ASAP, and finished up in two sessions both under the amount of time scheduled. Very friendly and safe atmosphere in the shop as well. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Chris was amazing! He was very patient and personable. Had him retouch an existing tattoo and do two other bangers. His pricing was very fair and his main focus was making sure I was happy with the end result. Clean linework and not heavy handed! 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I started getting tattoos recently and this has been my absolute favorite place to get them. Miranda designed this super cool telescope and it’s my favorite tattoo by far! She also did a great little postage stamp one as well. Every time I come by, she always has different sketches based on the ideas I had provided and I love seeing what she comes with. They make it such a comfortable environment and does a great job explaining what she’s doing throughout the tattoo. They even did my friend’s first tattoo and I know she loved how Miranda was so open to talking about her spur of the moment tattoo. Such a great artist and person! :)

Fantastic experience: Jaylin was excellent! This was my first tattoo and I was nervous and very particular about the lettering. At first, I was a little worried that they wouldn't be able to capture the nuances of the typeface, which was important to me as I do a lot of graphic design, but they were more than up to the task. Jaylin was very understanding of my nervousness with it being my first tattoo and kindly walked me through all of the steps. The pain was much less than I expected it to be, and they were very clear about aftercare, so I have not been left in doubt about how to take care of the tattoo after the fact.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed my experience at SLC Ink Tattoos. Neil did both of my small tattoos. He was easy to talk with, collaborated to finalize my tattoo details, and was good at communicating with me throughout the experience. I'm very happy with how my tattoos turned out. She not only talked me out of my original idea because it would have looked awful in a few years (thank you!) but her interpretation of the goat she used as the inspiration looks SOOOO much better than what was sent in. She even worked with me to try to incorporate a childhood scar into the tattoo. It didn't end up working out, but her patience and willingness to try ment a lot. I absolutely love this piece. Care, professionalism, and speed (I think this was an hour and a half with a couple of breaks?)... Couldn't ask for a better artist.

Fantastic experience: Fabian did a FANTASTIC job on both my and my sister’s tattoos! Will definitely be making the 3 hour drive to have more work done by him. Friendly, great work, and will change whatever is needed to make sure it’s exactly as you want it.

Negative experience: Still happy I got this from Fabian, but the cost ($150) is way high for what I feel is a $50 tattoo. Edit: After response which is a total copout I want to make clear that according to the artist there is no shop standard for ink. Prices also vary by artist. Saying all artists in the shop are somehow exactly unified with what the shop represents is impossible, and $150 for 1/2 hour resulting in asymmetry is ridiculous. April 24 update: add photo after healing showing symmetry issues, blowout, ink outside of lines etc. turned out really poor and a ripoff for the price.

Fantastic experience: Rafael was my tattoo artist and he did a phenomenal job on my first tatto! Very light-handed and he got it done so quick and clean. The whole tattoo shop was a vibe. Rating it as 5 stars is an understatement! I'll probably keep visiting the shop to keep performing my lines

Fantastic experience: 100000/10 recommend Ben for your tattoo. I was originally booked with another artist, but I’m so happy that I ended up with him instead. I got a very sentimental tattoo to remember my late father, and he used such kindness and care. The design is beautifully done (I like it even more than I imagined!), and it didn’t even hurt too much.

Fantastic experience: This was my second tattoo with Maddie, and she did an amazing job making it a great experience for my friend's birthday! She is so personable and has amazing attention to detail. She made sure that the tattoo was exactly what we wanted.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved getting a tattoo for the second time from this studio! Rafael was my artist, and was efficient, kind, and talented with the design! My *one* complaint is unrelated to the artist and the staff; Because my recent tattoo was on my chest and I had my shirt off for a little while, I got cold while on the table receiving my tattoo, so the one thing I would have changed was the internal temperature of the studio. It's a super minor thing and could just be a my-case thing, haha!

He is a very kind and considerate artist, making sure you're comfortable at all times and giving his absolute best. My sister and I got matching tattoos, and he treated us both so, so well. SLC Ink, in general, is a great business to communicate with when it comes to pricing, designs, and getting in touch with the artists. I have no complaints! Will definitely consider Tyler for more tattoos, in the future. :)

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend getting your next tattoo with Chase @ SLC Ink Tattoo. He was incredibly easy to work with and did an incredible job on my newest tattoo. He took the time to make sure my idea came out just how I wanted it and was always respectful of any changes needed. It was by far the least painful tattoo I've ever gotten and the healing process has been a breeze. Chase was incredibly light handed and yet still very fast, it only took about 4.5 hours for my large full color piece. I hope to work with him again in the future! The shop itself was also great to work with, the staff were all nice and very helpful. They have a cool system to make sure you get hooked up with the artist best suited to your needs and style if you are not sure who to book with. Everything was clean and professional yet still very comfortable. It's easy to get to and they seemed to have very flexible schedules which I appreciated as I have a very busy schedule myself. Seriously check them out!

Fantastic experience: So it has been 20 years since I have gotten my last tattoo. I was looking for a place with experienced artists and had a good reputation... let me tell you, SLC Ink Tattoo did not disappoint! Very clean and organized building! Raphael was excellent! I am super happy with the outcome of my tattoo! I am actually planning another tattoo already! I would definitely recommend them!

Positive experience: So we went in to inquire about getting tattoos and instead of speaking to a tattoo artist to find out more we are sent a text message to give them the information of what we want and one of their artists would call us back. Sorry but if I am going to have something put on my body I want to speak to a tattoo artist not play a game of emails back and forth. Edit after your response Like I said if I am going to put something permanent on my body I need to speak to the artist. I already had the design so 15 minutes to speak a tattoo artist would not have hurt since they were all talking and laughing with each other when we were there and not working with a customer.

Fantastic experience: Went to SLC ink when I was in town to meet with an Artist named Miranda who absolutely did an amazing job. She was professional, down to earth, knowledgeable and very artistic. The tattoo she did came out exactly how I envisioned and healed so well. I would highly recommend SLC INK and Miranda for your next tattoo

Negative experience: I sent descriptions and photos of the tattoo I wanted and it was disseminated to several artists. 5 artists stated they were interested in tattooing my wishes as described. I then referenced the work each artist had on their social media accounts and chose Jacki based on her use of negative space and shading detail. My appointment was booked under the impression that she knew what I wanted and was capable and READY to tattoo me on the date of my appointment. Jacki did not reach out or have any discussions about my request. I showed up to my appointment and Jacki did not have any drawings or stencils prepared and sat down for a consultation with me and stated she did not do “characters” and could tattoo an image from online, which is not what I paid and scheduled with her for. She should not have been suggested for my tattoo, or accepted to tattoo me as she was not equipped or interested in doing what was requested. I don’t like the poor online submission tattoo request process and I am not confident in the artist selection at this company.

Fantastic experience: I've gotten a few tattoos from them now and it's been a great experience each time. My most recent tattoo was from Layne. Her design was exactly what I was looking for and her line work was fantastic.

Fantastic experience: It's went great! Raina is an amazing artist and very personable. I love the fact I am able to sit there and B.S. with her while she's working. Makes the experience much better. She is able to help her customers with real life stuff and cares. I plan to come back for many more pieces of work from her. Negative experience: I got my rook pierced here in September of last year and it really never healed because it was too shallow. The piercing eventually ripped out of my ear and took the little skin that was holding with it. I was left bleeding with no more earring. What a waste of $65. I went to another piercing place later to get it checked out and they said that it ripped out because the placement was so bad. Do not get your piercings down here….waste of my money

Fantastic experience: I would 100% recommend this place for getting a tattoo done, I met with kaitlyn to get my very first tattoo and she took such good care of me. There was never a moment that I felt overwhelmed. The art looks absolutely incredible and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Amazing staff and such a fun environment

She helped me get the design right, answered a litany of questions, and also even resized the tattoo so it sit just right on my arm! I could see this being the first of many! Negative experience: Take your business elsewhere. SLC Ink refuses to take accountability for their artist's mistakes and won't refund you the down payment even when it's their artist's fault. They don't care if their artist stands you up or is late to appointments. They will take your money and give you nothing to show for it. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy here is impressive.

Fantastic experience: Such good people; I have Fernando the guest artist and I fell madly in love with his work! Making the appointment was easy and they were so good at responding to my emails quickly! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Negative experience: I paid a $150 deposit for artwork up front from one of their artists (Kristen), which I never received, and paid another $150 to book time with another artist at her suggestion after she told me she wasnt able to complete the piece, who then asked for an additional deposit to complete the piece. After i informed him that i had already paid up front, Kristen refused to transfer the funds to him, and he told me that i needed to work it out with her. I'm now out $300 and have nothing to show for it. Incredibly unprofessional and disappointing. Go to Dark Arts. Better quality artists and better service.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I booked our appointments before flying out for vacation and we feel like this was the perfect place for us. Kaitlyn is awesome, she's super talented and we had a great time during our appointments.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a consultation and that went great she said she would sketch it out for me and go from there and that was on March 15th. On March 30th two weeks later, I messaged her and asked if she had the chance to sketch it out yet no answer I assumed she was busy which is understandable. I messaged her on April 5th 6 days later with a question mark she then messaged back and said yes I had the chance to sketch it out and would send it to me when she got home and here it is March 19th and still nothing. I get tattoo artist are very busy and I get the booking are months out but it really shouldn’t take this long to schedule the appointment.

Fantastic experience: Got a tattoo here, and it was awesome. I saw Kaitlyn and she was super super sweet and seemed excited for everything which was fun. All the people in there had amazing vibes that just makes you feel super comfortable. She did awesome and my tattoo is amazing. Truly something in going to cherish and love forever. Thank you ❤

Fantastic experience: I went to Kaitlyn and she was so sweet. She did amazing on my 2 minis. Everyone at this shop was super friendly, and talented. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Facility was really clean as well and good hygiene practices

Negative experience: Do NOT get a tattoo from Layne!! I got a small flower bouquet on my bicep and within a few days the ink was completely blown out underneath my tattoo. At first I thought it was a bruise so I reached out to Layne. She told me it would go away within a week, which never happened, it got worse every day. When I texted her a few weeks later with my concerns again she ignored my texted messages. I also reached out to SLC ink, where they blew me off and told me to reach out again in 6 months. When i reached out again, no reply. No refund or anything. I had 4 different consults with other tattoo artists in SLC regarding it, and they all told me the artist pushed too hard, resulting in the ink depositing in my fat layer. I have other tattoos in sensitive areas that have healed great. I’ve had to spend $1500 to get it lasered off. I am very disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this place or artist.

Fantastic experience: My pals and I came down from Boise for a birthday weekend and decided to get some piercings and tattoos. SLC Ink is one of the best piercing places I’ve been. Raina was the BEST!!! I would recommend her any day to anyone! Fun staff and very professional. I legit almost passed out from a nose piercing bc of my stupid nervous system, but the staff helped me out and made me feel at home lol. Great price too!

Fantastic experience: I have my main artist but I needed a place for smaller projects. Found this place online, checked out some of the artist, and I booked an online appointment (super convenient btw) Went there for the first time today and I'll def be back. Parking is nice there's spots for the customers, they even have a receptionist to check you in and out, and the place is super clean. It's a really chill environment. Also my artist was Jaylin and she did an awesome job! Gave me exactly what I wanted and was super professional

Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment with Jaylin after emailing for a quote on the tattoo I wanted. I have 6 other tattoos. Jaylin had done a similar piece before and therefore I was super excited to work with them. The deposit was $80. Jaylin's style is amazing and was exactly what I was looking for. The front desk was super friendly and accommodating. They checked me in after I showed them my ID. Jaylin came by not long after to make sure they had drawn up what I had asked for. Jaylin was very accommodating after I had her move the stencil 3 times. They made sure I really liked where the tattoo was placed. They started with a smaller needle to make sure I was ok with the pain. There was a big tv to watch in the back area I was getting tattooed in. Jaylin had a bunch of different drawings on the wall that I would love to come back and get. The tattoo that should have taken 1.5 hours only took them 45 minutes. I was amazed at how fast Jaylin worked on my piece. They made sure I was OK throughout the tattoo and were soo friendly! The finished product is so beautiful. It is cute and detailed and fine and has a lot of character which is exactly what I was looking for! I am so so happy with how the tattoo turned out and will definitely be returning to visit Jaylin again. Such a talented artist!

Negative experience: This company makes you put money down to make a tattoo appointment - makes sense they want you to show up for the appointment. Here is where the rule doesn't make sense....they won't refund your money if the tattoo artist quits and you don't like any of the other artists tattoo styles. If you make a deposit for a specific artist they won't give your money back if that artist quits. Don't put down a deposit because you can't get it back if the company fails to keep that tattoo artist hired. Don't waste your time at this facility. The owner is not friendly

Negative experience: Worst tattoo pallor in Salt Lake City. For my fist consulting appointment the guy never showed. After waiting for an hour they finally set me up with a different guy - Johny. I went and met with him and I was super stoked and I just felt great about the whole thing. I’ve been wanting this tattoo for 6 years. We planned something really awesome together. I made the deposit of $100. Well Johny quit and now they won’t give me my deposit back. They have set me up with a gift card but I just want my money back. I’m not getting a tattoo from the studio. It’s more then 30 days out from my original appointment (that they canceled). They said they would set me up with another artist but honestly none of them are what I’m looking for. I feel completely powerless. Please just give me my money back. To everyone wondering if you should get your tattoo here? Don’t. They won’t respect you as a human. Just want to give an update: the response to this review used to have my personal number on it. They posted that without my permission. They doxxed me. I am now getting phone calls for a free PS5 listing on KSL. Going to this studio has cost me $100 plus a bunch annoying phone calls and text messages. I can’t express my anger and frustration enough with how terrible this studio and owner are. I uploaded 3 screenshots documenting the behavior of this studio owner. The owner has a HISTORY of posting people’s personal information online if they leave a negative review

Fantastic experience: Had the best first tattoo experience with Kristen! Seriously could not recommend a better artist or shop, I felt so at home and completely comfortable the entire time. Definitely will be telling everybody about her and coming back for more!

Fantastic experience: I had the honor to work with Jaylin, not only was she extremely professional during this pandemic nightmare but she was accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. Most tattoo artists are doing online consultations and even so, Jaylin came up with something perfect. My sister and I got complementary tattoos and even though our appointment was booked in advance I was questioning some of my own ideas. Jaylin reworked them and adjusted the size and placement on both of us without hesitation. She understands the impact and of her work and designs them based off the needs of the customer. What I really appreciated was the amount of care and effort she puts into everyone, regardless of the size or cost. You have her undivided attention. I can’t wait to get a bigger piece done by her!
