Fantastic experience: What an amazing team! I’ve never felt moved to write a review before, but I had such a good experience that I felt I had to share. Everyone who helped me was friendly and super professional. Seven (the piercing artist) walked me through all the levels of hygiene they use in shop to keep things safe. Seven then explained the steps of the piercing process, led me in some relaxing breathing exercises, and pierced me quickly and safely. It hurt, but not nearly as much as I’d expected. The friendly and professional nature of the staff was above and beyond my expectations! I highly recommend this shop to anyone :)

Fantastic experience: Ritual Arts truly provides a superior piercing experience. From the moment I walked in the door, Seven was friendly, helpful, informative and kind. The shop goes above and beyond with their cleanliness and sanitation regimens and Seven discussed all of it in-depth as part of the prep process. They had a beautiful selection of jewelry and the shop was very clean. Seven did my piercings quickly and efficiently and it was easy to relax while they were done. Highly, highly recommend Ritual Arts and I will definitely be back!

Positive experience: I went in to get new jewelry and the person who helped me was just guessing about the sizing based on holding packaged jewelry up to my piercings, some of which turned out to be wrong in the end (and nonrefundable). And you can’t touch your piercings or taking them out to be measured so if you do it this way you could drop a lot of money on the wrong thing. In hindsight, I wish they would have suggested that I make an appointment with a piercing to get properly fitted but that’s not something that was mentioned.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with 7 wolfe. They were super kind, really respectful, and took the time to explain everything, including the piercing process, the studio’s sterilization process, and aftercare. I felt completely comfortable and safe. I would highly recommend them, and this shop!

Fantastic experience: There are many good things to say about Ritual Arts. I was having scheduling issues and they were very kind and were very helpful when figuring out a date. They were also very helpful when I asked about the pricing, and were precise and gave me the information I need right off the bat. Budget friendly if people are in more of a tighter situation with affordable jewelry for simple piercings but also provide a section if you did want to spend a bit more. Very friendly waiting space and cozy. The experience was fantastic when I was given descriptions of their entire sterilization process, along with the process. It did hurt a bit, ngl low pain tolerance, but I still stuck through it because it was a chill enough space to breathe through it. I would recommend especially if you are looking for a place to get a piercing or tattoo, just such a great and welcoming place for everyone

Fantastic experience: This is an exceptional studio and FaraTa’ is a kind and skilled piercer with a consent and communication based practice rivalled by no other! The level of after care is spot on, too, and I would trust them with any of my body mod desires! We also brought a 10 year old for ear piercing and their patience and gentle touch was very impressive to witness, checking in with him at every stage and empowering him to stop any time he needed. Fantastic experience: I had to get my labret removed, and have help removing the ball from my septum ring, for an upcoming MRI. i had called ahead and scheduled the appointment a day ahead and was quoted $11. I was grateful to find somewhere that could get in done in under 15, cause that's really all i had for the rest of the month. I was a few minutes early for my appointment and the person working the front desk immediately went back to grab Fara Te. I perused the rings for maybe a minute, not long at all before they came out front and lead me to one of the piercing rooms. Everything was of course super clean, smelled sterile but not in the gross over the top way that hospitals smell, and the decor helped the space feel homier. they saw I was wearing a KN95 and immediately put on their own trifold mask upon entering the room. it means a lot to not have to ask. I've been in to probably a dozen piercing shops in my life, with over 30 visits total and despite feeling at home in them, i still have a level of underlying anxiety that stems from medical trauma. Fara was so kind and welcoming. We talked about our knuckle tats a bit while they sterilized things and got ready. The connection beforehand really helps me calm down. They confirmed with me what i needed done, and gave me a bit of a verbal walkthrough before having me lay down. They were so communicative and warm which really Helped curb my anxiety. They never touched me or moved on to the next step without telling me first. The process only took a few minutes and was painless. They gave me the piercings / pieces back in a little zipclose baggie and sent me on my way to the front desk. Will absolutely be coming back once I have more solid work, to get my next piercing, and have my septum sized up! I'm recommending Ritual Arts to all my friends ❤️‍

Fantastic experience: We took our daughter here for her first ear piercings as it was recommended by a few friends. The appointment went really well. They explain the process and there is a lot of talk about consent and that the child can stop at any time. They also asked permission any time they touched the child. They were extremely clean, informative and make the child feel welcome and comfortable. I could not be more happy and my child was so proud of herself. Thank you for creating such a great first piercing experience!

Fantastic experience: FaraTa‘ is an amazingly talented and kind piercer! I needed nipple jewelry removed and replaced for a medical procedure, and they made the process so pleasant. Replacing jewelry in those piercings can be (and was) pretty painful, but their expertise and patience made it bearable and overall the best experience it could have been. I will definitely be coming back here for all my jewelry and piercing needs

Fantastic experience: I had my first piercing done last week at the tender age of 46 and I couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. The folks here were kind, gentle, and affirming. Then, an issue cropped up and they dealt with it immediately and with understanding. I will go back and I will recommend them to friends and family.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, communicative and super knowledgeable! The shop was also very clean. Seven helped me remove a stubborn tongue ring and gave me some keywords on what type of tongue jewelry I should look for in the future, but honestly I will probably just come back when looking for new jewelry!

Fantastic experience: If you're being hesitant on picking a place for a tattoo or piercing, hesitate no longer. There is not a doubt in my mind that this is Portland's best tattoo/piercing studio. I've been coming for a little over a year to get my tattoos from Aubin Carlson. She is a master of her craft leaving you with pieces you will cherish forever. I have gotten 2 cover ups, and two new tattoos from her. My coverups are so expertly done that when I tell people they are coverups they are left shocked every time. I had been getting my piercings from another local piercing shop, but during my last tattoo apt. I spent 2 hours just listening to the ambiance of the shop, hearing music, conversation, and laughter. I made me feel so comfortable that I decided that when I was ready to get my Vertical Labret redone that I would book with Seven. Seven is an excellent piecer. I am so glad I chose to book with them. I also had the pleasure to work with their apprentice. They walked me though EVERY single step, which for me brings me comfort as I am about to get a 16g needle pushed through my lip, a permanent body mod. They both walked through the placement ensuring it would both meet me anatomically and aesthetically. I am so happy with the results and with the experience. PLEASE CHOOSE RITUAL ARTS! Support this business as they absolutely deserve it, even if it's for a simple earlobe piercing. I wish I chose them sooner for other piercing and tattoos I have gotten done, but you live and you learn :) Thank you, guys!

Fantastic experience: A positive, memorable experience!!!! The folks here are warm, welcoming, knowledgable, instructive, safe, ethical, and so so sweet. They were able to accommodate me as an eager walk-in to fix my lobes (originally done decades ago by a Limited Too tween, iykyk). Noz taught me specific piercing anatomy, the variety of materials, and the reasoning behind size, shape, and metals - I learned so much from him! Seven was just a gem, took his time to appropriately evaluate my specific needs, guided me in deep breathing to ensure it was a harmonious experience. He ensured the actual piercing event was painless, sterile, informed, safe, and relaxed. I marched out triumphantly with stunning handcrafted magical bees thanks to Jesse's artistry. I'm such a baby with needles but I was smiling the whole time :o)

Fantastic experience: So thankful to FaraTá for saving my piercings! I had my first lobes pierced here in late May and had no issues until this week when they started feeling irritated. Fantastic experience: I came in to switch out my jewelry and the kind person at the front did a great job at helping me choose what would look best with my current setup. I felt welcomed and I even had a nice chat with another client in the lobby. The space is very welcoming and relaxing which is the perfect vibe for a tattoo/piercing shop. They take personal safety very seriously and I enjoyed my time here.

Fantastic experience: I got my nose (nostril) pierced today with FaraTa‘, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. Not only were they extremely kind, but they were also very helpful in explaining a misunderstanding that I had when it came to the jewelry, and they knew immediately what I was actually trying to describe. They also helped me to manage my nervous energy by understanding it and working through it with me rather than being scared away by it or treating me like I was a weirdo or something, so that was also much appreciated. The place is also super clean, and the receptionist was very nice as well which made it feel welcoming. Also—the jewelry selection—I don’t think I’ve ever seen such an extensive QUALITY jewelry selection at a piercing/tattoo place before. The jewelry they have in there is not your regular jewelry selection typically seen at piercing/tattoo places (at least in my own personal experiences); it seemed to be nothing but beautiful, quality pieces in Ritual Arts. Someone is taking the time to really choose the jewelry to put in the shop here—it’s visibly higher quality than the average body jewelry I’ve seen in other shops I’ve been to throughout my life and it’s displayed in a way that seemed to really care for the jewelry as well (which I personally perceive as indicative of responsible sanitation practices and, in my opinion, it also shows a certain level of respect for the work of artists who may be putting their handmade pieces in the shop). I was still able to find something simple to start with, but there are a lot of really nice options to choose from so don’t be late for your appointment because you’ll probably want to look for a few minutes. (If I hadn’t been set on getting something „simple“ it would have been a struggle to decide because everything looked nice.) They also have a simple saline misting spray that you can get to just make your life easier and save you some time during the healing process. Which I honestly don’t see the point in not getting. I would absolutely recommend this place if you’re looking to get pierced. 10/10 great experience.

Fantastic experience: I had the PLEASURE of having my tattoo done here by Jesse. I felt so comfortable and he helped me map out/design my tattoo and gave me amazing advice for my next. He was so accommodating and fast, I got whiplash from how fast he was; I genuinely barely felt any pain. I will DEFINITELY be going back there!:)

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Jesse Wolfe here for years. All of the staff here are really nice and welcoming. The studio is beautiful and immaculately clean. All of the tattoo artists and piercers are amazing and do top-notch work. They also sell beautiful jewelry, artwork, and incredible rocks and gems.

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent experience here getting flash art! They were doing flash for charity, which apparently they do regularly. All the art was fantastic, vibes on point, and they even had a little table with drinks so folks didnt overheat waiting. So far the piece is healing well and its one of my new faves! Artist was Holly :p

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. The people there are absolutely fantastic - Jesse did my amazing tattoo and was so so so great about hearing what I wanted, offering suggestions, and adding in his own beautiful touches. He and Orin checked in on me during the process to make sute I was doing well. I had been admittedly nervous about not seeing the art as I neared my scheduled date - I can say in hindsight that it was a silly worry to have. The piece Jesse made for me was glorious and worked quickly with me in making small adjustments. The day I went in he went above and beyond to make sure it was perfect! I could gush about every bit of detail that I love about Ritual Arts and the folks that work there but honestly just go in and expierence it for yourself!

Fantastic experience: Decided to finally get a second piercing on my ear lobes. FaraTa did my piercing and they were amazing. I was comfortable and relaxed about it all and they took the time to go over everything and the process wasn’t rushed. I barely felt the piercing when they proceeded to pierce. Placement was perfect, I may wanna consider more piercings in the future! The space was clean and tidy as well.

Positive experience: I had both nipples pierced in March and it was a great experience all around. However, I had to go back after a few weeks to get longer barbells which resulted in paying almost another $100 for a new sitting fee and size-appropriate jewelry. Thought it was maybe a fluke. Took my girlfriend for the same piercings from the same piercer a few weeks ago and the same thing happened - she just had to pay to get her barbells upsized today. This just doesn't seem right. We both have a number of piercings and have never had to upsize after the fact & it is frustrating that it happened to both of us. I was of the understanding that piercers know to initially pierce with bigger jewelry to account for swelling, etc. My girlfriend and I also have very different anatomies so I would have expected to get the appropriate jewelry for our bodies.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 7-year-old to get her ears pierced by Fara Ta’ based on a recommendation from a friend who had also brought her child here, and I was incredibly impressed. Fara Ta took their time explaining the process and procedure, ensured my child wanted this done, and asked for consent. Honestly, this was the best appointment involving my child’s body and care I’ve ever experienced. I told Fara Ta’ they should get into pediatrics! My daughter was so proud to “finally” get her ears pierced, and her ears have healed perfectly. We just went back for our follow up appointment and again had a positive experience. I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this place!!! Right off the bat, I can't reccomend this enough. This was my first cartilage peiecing, and I wanted to do something special for my birthday. Jade, at the front counter, was so so incredibly helpful and funny, and answered all my questions while we waited. My peircer, FaraTa' Wild, was absolutely AMAZING. She was so calming and fun, and very knowledgeable. She listened to me, and explained what was happening during the pwiecing very thoroughly. She made sure u was okay with each step, while having fun with it. She also took the time to make sure that the placement was exactly right. Super clean too. If you're thinking about coming here for a peircing, do it! You won't regret it!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic work, accurate and paying attention to bodily autonomy, it felt very clean and everyone's really nice, there was zero rush and nobody felt greedy. They even had good titanium that's highly polished as their default jewelry, and not that rough low quality garbage that other places pass off as good enough or trying to upsell at insane prices, it made me feel super safe and respected. I think I've found my permanent go-to.

Fantastic experience: Ohmigosh! We came here on the recommendation of some friends and are so glad we did. My 14 year old daughter just had a fantastic piercing experience here. She was a little nervous (first piercing), but FaraTa’ was so kind, gentle, and wonderfully communicative. It made me want to get a piercing even though I'm not currently in the market for one! Good jewelry options. The studio was exceptionally clean with a very welcoming atmosphere. The after care instructions were very clear. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience getting a septum piercing from Seven Wolfe. They did a great job on the piercing itself, and explained everything very clearly. Everyone in the shop was friendly, and the whole process was pleasantly efficient.

Negative experience: My step kid got a gift certificate at Christmas to Ritual Arts and went to this place today to get his piercing and had to spend money online just to make an appointment. As soon as he got there they told him that their gift certificates expire after 6 months. He also wasn't allowed a refund for the money he had to pay just to get the appointment. This is infuriating and I definitely recommend NEVER getting a gift certificate to here or even coming here.

Fantastic experience: Never had a bad experience here. Seven pierced my oldest kid's ears and mine, and Adru pierced my youngest's. They have both been fantastic. Front desk was super friendly both times. Well cared for shop great vibe, peaceful even when full, super clean and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience with Seven Wolfe today , my Medusa piecing took some blunt trauma and really need to switched into something bigger to accommodate the swelling. I talked to Jesse on the phone, and they highly recommend that I would come in even though they were busy . I ended up working with Seven Wolfe today and they were the most amazing piercer. I didn’t feel any pain I was seriously stunned!! They walked through every step with me and let me know it was happening. I really appreciate that they were able to fit me and even know their schedule is very busy highly recommend seeing this person.

Fantastic experience: Everything about my experience here was a delight. Everyone has a chill, friendly vibe. Their practices are super sanitary. My piercer, Seven, was so kind and thoroughly explained everything, which went a long way towards tempering my needle anxiety. And the piercing looks perfect. I've had piercings and tattoos done in places all around the country, but this was, hands down, the best experience I've ever had.

Yesterday I was pierced by Seven for the first time, and I was blown away by their positive energy and kindness. I always get nervous for a new piercing, and they made me feel so at ease. Before my piercing, Farata’ helped me pick out jewelry. They gave great insight on what might work well. Picking from so many options can be a bit overwhelming, but they made it much easier. I ended up with a beautiful end from Thunder Rose Jewelry, which is an in house brand from one of their artists. This is honestly a wonderful group of people, and I’m glad this place exists. You can’t go wrong with anyone on the piercing side of things. I plan to get tattooed here one day too, and I’m sure it’ll be as great of an experience as I’ve always had.

Fantastic experience: Great experience with Seven and the rest of the staff. Seven helped me pick out a new noise ring, was very gentle, listened to my concerns, and was able to provide helpful advice. The shop also has crystals to purchase as well a great variety of jewelry to choose from.

Fantastic experience: Super laid back, friendly, clean, and professional ... arranged for my 17 yo daughter to get a septum piercing. Artist took ample time to get her comfortable, helped her to select jewelry, and talked her thru process, practiced breathing and followed super clean procedures prepping and executing the piercing. Really a great experience and an unexpectedly reasonable price. Highest recommendation.

Fantastic experience: Ok. Ok. Ok. You have to know that these are the BEST circle of humans you could go to for your ritualistic piercing. They were so present with me. I had my nose pierced by Seven, with locally made jewelry by another artist in their shop, Jesse Enz, has created the Thunder Rose line of fine jewelry, and I am in LOVE. I purchased a rose gold crescent moon for this Goddess. I have met most of the Coven now, and they are incredible humans. More reviews to unfold as we co-create on this artistic journey. I also have to say, when I accidentally popped off the moon (it’s a pin that fits into a hollow titanium post), Andru and Jade went above and beyond to get me in ASAP (can’t have a piercing go rogue!!!). They had me come in right away and generously accommodated me. My daughter is getting pierced there this Saturday, and I am lookin forward to more artistic endeavors. Do not hesitate. Fantastic experience: I got my septum pierced by today by 7! They were amazing- if I could give them a 6 star review I would. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They went above and beyond to explain the process and were so kind and welcoming. The reassurance they gave for sanitation was amazing. I’ve had some really tough piercings in the past - not this time 7 was THE BEST! If your nervous book the appointment with them. Also when I was on my way out they let me choose a Little Rock to take home . It was the best, I am putting that Little Rock on my little shelf and it will remind me of how awesome that experience was. Thank you again 7.

Fantastic experience: I’m not usually someone who leaves reviews, but I felt like I had to after my experience here today. FaraTa is seriously the most amazing person !! Came in to get my eyebrow pierced and the jewelry in my industrial swapped out. I was able to fill out the release forms before I came which was super awesome and we were able to get started right away when I came in. FaraTa was so great at explaining literally everything that could ever need to be covered while also being super kind and hilarious. After we left and got home my partner tried switching his rook out and we weren’t able to get it back in. After calling in FaraTa, welcomed us back in and did a jewelry change for him. Such a great experience, thank you again for being so accommodating. Definitely my new go to piercing place!

Fantastic experience: I am new to the world of piercings and didn't know what to expect, but my experience at Ritual Arts has left me very happy. The lady at the front desk helped me pick out the jewelry and also educated me about what would be best for my daith piercing. Andru, the body piercer, made my experience stress-free. He walked me through each step, answering all my questions and more. I mentioned that I was looking for therapeutic benefits from my piercing and he made sure to find the best spot possible, taking his time to make sure I got what I wanted. When he did the piercing, it felt unique, like a heavy weight being lifted off my head. I highly recommend Ritual Arts and plan to become a regular customer.

Fantastic experience: I had my ears slightly stretched when I was a youngster, but I was like 14 and didn’t know what good hygiene was. So I ended up taking them out and they closed up. I scheduled an appt at Ritual and I was able to go in same-day, about three hours after I went on the site to book. My piercer was 7 Wolfe, and they were beyond accommodating and professional. I felt super comfortable, and they were VERY knowledgeable. It gave me a lot of confidence in what I was having done. You really do get what you pay for. They also have high quality jewelry and many original pieces in titanium, 18k gold and other materials that are done in house by one of the piercers! (I don’t remember who). Anyways yeah they come highly recommended by me :)

I took forever looking at all their beautiful jewelry and asking a ton of questions, which they answered with expertise and patience! Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience getting my septum piercing stretched. My piercer Seven was fantastic, and accommodated my nervousness wonderfully. The process was as comfortable as possible, and I left feeling satisfied and like I'd been considerately taken care of! I would recommend them to anyone seeking a piercing, and will be back when it's time to size up my jewelry again.

Fantastic experience: Was definitely excited to get work done in Portland, I got Friday the 13th flash tattoo. My artist killed it they did amazing. Sticker quality tattoo. The shop is in a good location and has plenty of parking. The owners are great and everyone at the shop is amazing. The only “meh” thing I could think of is the shop not having a ATM in the building so you have to walk down to a bank and use the walk up ATM. Definitely love the shop and the work I had done.

Positive experience: Got several piercings with my partner here. Seven Wolfe was amazing, I loved the service and I had a great piercing experience. Unfortunately I think the prices of the jewelry are excessive. The cost of the piercings themselves were fine and about what I would expect, and the website does say jewelry is billed separately and will be at least 20$ per piece, but those prices are just for the jewel part of the stud. Ritual Arts uses a special back and stud that lock into each other through spring tension, and both those parts are billed separately. So when I was told it would be 23$ for my stud, I assumed that price included the back. The back ended up being an additional 50$, which was way more than I expected to pay. On top of that, I got a septum with an open bottom. The charges for the jewelry billed the loop (the center part) and each of the two balls that thread into the bottom as three separate charges. We got two earlobe piercings, a helix, and a septum, which totaled to about 140$ for the piercing service, which is fine. Expecting to pay around 20$ for each piece of jewelry placed, we expected to pay about 80$ for the jewelry to total about 220$. The total given to us at checkout was 340$. If the total cost of the jewelry was given before we had gotten pierced we probably would've gone somewhere else, and I think billing the separate pieces of the jewelry separately is a little dishonest, which is a shame because we really did have a great experience here. Just a heads up if you want to come here.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful piercing experience! My two sisters were visiting from California and we went to get pierced together. Everyone was so accommodating and nice. The piercings have all healed so well, too! We had a great time and will definitely be going back!

Fantastic experience: Seven Wolfe was amazing, so kind and so knowledgeable! The shop is so clean.. I got 3 piercings in one day all turned out great. If you’re sick of feeling unwanted and disrespected at shops then I highly suggest coming here. I felt very welcomed and taken care of. Also when we came in someone helped us with the jewelry selection and they were also super kind and patient. Definitely coming back.

The staff was friendly and Andru walked me through his process beforehand, as well as giving thorough aftercare instructions.
